The day I met Rob.....

I’ve always loved Chuck Shurley.. Carver Edlund... God.... Rob! But I never knew that this man would impact my life so much.

Melbourne 2017, Friday before the Masquerade Party with @hillywood-daily and friends, i went out for lunch... i wont go into too much detail about this lunch (ill leave that for another entry) but i witnessed something not many outsiders get to see.... When A Moose and a squirrel, An Angel, a guy with an amazing voice, some band members who can rock a house down and God and his sister the Darkness are sitting at a table looking over the Yarra River.. sounds like a joke right? Nope. Not joking... When you are seated at a table and directly across from you are the cast of Supernatural, the Band Members from Louden Swain and Jason Manns. I got to peer into a world not many get to see. (between me and you... its was slightly AMAZING!)

Anyway, I dont actually get to see much of Rob at the lunch... i can see his nose and mouth.. but i know its him.. because I can hear him talking. I am totally fangirling right now. I mean. It took every ounce of self control to not say anything to them.. which in hindsight was a complete error in judgement.. but i like to think that we experienced something more amazing then a selfie at lunch...

We left, my best friend had to go back to work... so on my return to my apartment i detoured through the eatery again.. this time, passing the boys as they walked to their next thing... (still fangirling!) I walk on clouds the entire way back... its about 20 min walk... which takes me like 5 mins.. and I dont even notice my blisters from bad walking shoes until I get into the room... I breakdown in tears. I cant help it (as i recount what happened, I am welling up).. meeting these boys does weird things to ones eyes...

The following day is Day 1 of AHBL8... I attend the Panels and get 3 photos (J2Sandwich - details will come), Plus Amy Gumenick and Emily Swallow... I miss out on Emily because of confusion.. but I still get my photo. Aaannyy way!.. Saturday night is LOuden Swain concert.. and for the sack of this entry, I told my friend i thought Rob was hug-able... and then she had an interaction with him and told him that her friend thought he was hug-able (im the friend!).. Sunday Day 2 of AHBL8 I get all my other photos... and I get a Rob photo.. i mean, in all honesty.. i should have got another.. because its Rob. I walk up to him.. I was totally fine with J2 photos.. but this is ROB BENEDICT! I walk up to him and all i can say hi Hi... I then say to him, “can i have a great big hug” he says “sure, of course” and if you know from SPN, when Chuck says Sure.. you melt... I get a great big hug. Its embracing and encompassing and you can feel 100% pure love. Like a warm blanket that hides the rest of the world for that split second.. .. CLICK!.... and its done... thats it. Done. I met Rob, got a photo and then... nothing... its so sureal... did it actually happen... I am fangirling hard now. Im chatting to my friends, members of #WaywardsDaughtersofAustralia and we are all crying and laughing... the entire convention is full of hundreds of females and a few dozen males all crying (well, maybe not the men)... I then go up for my Musical Photo.. this one has Louden Swain and Rob and Jason.... now.. before the day started, I couldnt decide what to wear.. of course id wear my light blue wash jeans and my black leather jacket.. but it was between my “Have Swain Will Travel” or my “The Swaingels” tee... i went with the swaingels... I walk up and Jason bounces in behind the group for the photo. and Rob notices my shirt, he says”oh i like your shirt, I didnt notice it before” (he remembers me!!) then the other band members notice, Billy says something... I laugh. (Swoon, STahpit boys you’re making me blush!) anyway, I get the photo done. Its AMAZING! I say thanks.. because what else can i say... I go downstairs and im crying.. but I also noted that one of the Hub Crew was periscoping the ops.. and i checked.. I wanted to see that the photo was actually as good as it felt... IT WAS! The panels golike a blur.. a big, amazing blur... and then come the autos.. I get louden swain and manns first as rob is on the end of their line... Jason is coolbeans and we have a chat. (hist story will come)... then i meet Swain... they are sooo nice. They laugh and we chat. Not about anything really. Then Rob.. I think I used up all my conversation courage on Jason and Swain.... I am spent. I try to speak. nothing. I just say hey, how are you.. (boring Amy, totes boring!) i then say thanks, see ya... and I hurriedly get rushed away for my next auto... and then its all over... well.. almost... Karaoke is Sunday night and Rob walks right beside me, brushing shoulders. However, I end up standing next to Jason and having a little chat... and then... suddenly.. my group and I are walking back to our hotel at stupid oclock close to midnight... laughing, cackling, crying. We are drunk on con! No one can sleep... yet, all we really want is sleep... then BAM! Im awake, on a plane, landed back home. and the weekend is over. But its a weekend I will NEVER EVER forget in a very long time... if ever. The weekend was the weekend I almost had lunch with the boys... the weekend I got to see LOuden Swain Live in Australia for the first time... The weekend I met ROB BENEDICT!
