I think it's about time I give ya'll a good explanation on The Dingle

HI

Im Dingle! An indegenous artist with 8 years of experience based in Canada, I'm aspiring to become an independent animator and concept artist in the gaming, comic or movie field for the last few years of my life since 2019

I'm semi diagnosed for ADHD which causes me extreme hyper activity in my mushy brain which is why i come up with a lot of wordy content sometimes, and why I can't keep up when drawing. But it also causes me extreme anxiety and social anxiety which had been one of the factors for my on and off of tumblr. But now I'm staying and posting regularly dont worry!

Im also SUPER huge into a lot of stuff, crash bandicoot, deltarune, undertale, pizza tower, portal 2, Gorillaz among many more. I often get a hyperfixation for these regularly so if you see me post about something you didn't follow for, shoot me ask about what you wanna see, odds or my hyperfixation will change in a SNAP.

That's another thingy, don't be me, don't be afraid to shoot an ask my way! I adore interacting with followers and all my mutuals on here and i have no problem answering questions or having characters answer questions from you guys!

I'm also an aspiring speculative biologist* *in a semi realistic way, I have some content content some funny creatures but they'll come later!

1- i think we share like a Lot of fandoms actually! basing this off of your extended media you know rentry btw. UHM im a huge huge fan of prsk, honkai star rail, tbhk, bsd, milgram, vocaloid, undertale/deltarune and i think that's it? i wont go into much detail about other fandoms im in because one specific interest of mine could give away the whole answer to my mystery to some of our shared mutuals JSHSHSHDH but aside from that one im also into enstars bandori and some other rhythm games! not really sure what else to add to that list honestly i forgot everything i have ever liked in my life, i also have many irls from those medias :3

2- honestly? i have been having the biggest labels crisis of my life these past few weeks so pronouns aren't something i really have the ability to specify rn, just use whatever you feel like at the moment and i will be more than happy! curious to see what your perception of my gender ends up being so i can get closer to an answer to my, uhm, current dilemma! HSJSHSHJSJSJ

3- OH UH ITS ALL VOCALOID I THINK i can't really say i have specific artists i like outside of that... maybe will wood and that's, really it. aside from just those two its all specific songs from different artists yeah. BUT IT'S DIFFERENT WITH VOCALOID BECAUSE I CAN KINDA DISCERN WHICH PRODUCERS I LISTEN TO MORE! also some utaites i listen to like a looot, one example is Ado! onto vocaloid producers my favorites ever are Syudou (producer of Usseewa!) and Van De Shop (producer of Pheles!), aside from those two i listen to like a lot more just not with that much frequency (its mostly just one specific song or songs i like from those producers. yeah)

“Hurls a boomerang that follows a curved path. Good range and pierce.” - Ingame Description

The Boomerang Monkey is a Primary-tower that has been with the Bloons franchise for quite some time now.

It's an incredibly flexible and versatile tower for all stages of the game, with each path having a clear and defined role to play in your defense, and I'm going to be the guy to tell you all about it.

So, let's talk about each upgrade and what they do!

Top Path

Top Path focuses on increasing the tower's pierce, allowing it to deal with groups of Bloons comfortably.

>1xx Improved Rangs increases the tower's pierce to 8(+4). >2xx Glaives increases the tower's pierce to 13(+5).

3xx Glaive Ricochet allows the tower's projectile to seek out nearby Bloons instead of following a curved path. Increases the tower's pierce to 50(+37) and lets the tower deal with groups of Bloons more comfortably and consistently.

4xx MOAR Glaives increases the already incredible stats of the Boomerang Monkey, 100(+50) pierce, double attack speed, projectile speed, and ricochet range. If 3xx can handle Bloons comfortably, 4xx will make sure those Bloons are shredded.

5xx Glaive Lord surrounds itself with 3 orbiting Glaives with 30 range, dealing 2 damage to any Bloons within its range every 0.1 seconds, with a bonus +5 damage to Ceramics and MOABs, and an additional +2 if the Bloon is fortified.

The main Glaive attack now gains a secondary effect of inflicting a damage-over-time to MOAB-class Bloons, dealing 100 damage every 1 second for 15.1 seconds.

Demonstrated below with the BAD, you can see the slicing particles next to the BAD.

Middle Path

Middle Path focuses on increasing the tower's attack speed, making it your choice for general DPS.

>x1x Faster Throwing increases the tower's attack speed by +33% >x2x Faster Rangs increses the tower's attack speed by an additional +33% on top of the previous upgrade, as well as increasing the projectile speed.

x3x Bionic Boomerang increases the tower's attack speed by 5x, as well as gaining a +2 damage bonus against MOAB-class Bloons.

x4x Turbo Charge gains an activated ability. when activated, it increases the tower's attack speed by 7x and increases it's damage by +1 for 10 seconds, with a base cooldown of 45 seconds.

x5x Perma Charge makes the attack speed bonus of the previous upgrade permanent, hence it's name, as well as increasing it's damage to 4(+3). Activated ability now increases it's damage by +8 for 15 seconds, with a reduced cooldown of 40 seconds. Perma Charge and it's previous upgrades can be used against most Bloons and MOABs, especially when paired with the proper buffs.

Bottom Path

Bottom Path focuses on utility and Anti-MOAB specilization.

>xx1 Long Range Rangs increases the tower’s range by +6.45 and also increases the curve the thrown boomerang follows. >xx2 Red Hot Rangs allows the tower to pop Lead and Frozen Bloons, as well as increase it’s damage by +1.

xx3 Kylie Boomerang replaces the main boomerang with a heavy Kylie that follows a straight path instead of a curved one. Pierce is increased to 18(+14) and can damage the same Bloon multiple times every 0.3 seconds.

xx4 MOAB Press gains a secondary attack that targets MOAB-class Bloons. These special Kylies knockback MOABs a short distance, has 200 pierce and deals 1 damage to Bloons and 5 damage to MOABs can rehit every 0.1 seconds.

Demonstrated below is the special Kylies hitting a MOAB.

xx5 MOAB Domination buffs all the stats of the previous upgrade from before. Main Kylie now does 12(+10) damage and attacks twice as fast. Special Kylie now triggers twice as often, have increased MOAB damage, increased pierce to 300(+100), double range, and produces a powerful explosion that sets nearby targets on fire when the special Kylie expires.

Demonstrated below is the special Kylie exploding and setting a BAD on fire.

Paragon

Finally, we talk about the Paragon, the perfect combination of all 3 upgrade paths combined.

Behold, the Glaive Dominus!

Glaive Dominus combines the grouped Bloon damage of top path, the absurd attack speed and damage of middle path, and the Anti-MOAB utility of bottom path, multiplies it tenfold, and gives all this power to one perfect being.

Now that I’ve discussed each and all of the upgrade paths, you now have an idea of what each upgrade path does, and what it specializes in.

Crosspathing

Each of these upgrade paths can additionally be crosspathed for even greater improvements!

>420 increases the attack speed greatly. >402 increases the range of the tower, as well as give it double damage.

Generally, 402 is the better crosspath for MOAR Glaives, but with external buffs, 420 is much better.

>240 increases the tower’s pitiful pierce greatly, allowing it to handle groups of Bloons and MOABs easily. >042 increases the tower’s range and damage, allowing it top pop MOABs and other single targets sooner.

Middle path is already a very general-use tower, but each crosspath allows it to lean towards grouped damage or single target damage, depending on what you need. 052 also has the additional benefit of it’s base damage being increased to 8(+4), and the activated ability now increases it’s damage to 10(+2).

>204 increases the special Kylie’s knockback by 50%. >024 increases the special Kylie’s attack speed by 66%.

It usually depends on the Boomerang Monkey’s placement on what you should crosspath MOAB Press, but 024 is usually the go-to.

As I’ve said before, all of the Boomerang Monkey’s upgrade paths serve a very specific role, with crosspathing adding onto that role, or making the tower lean towards a different specialization, and it shows in gameplay.

Design

This is very likely subjective, but I love how all of the upgrades look.

Demonstrated above is the upgrade progression of the Boomerang Monkey in game. From left to right, the base tower, tier 1 to tier 5, and the paragon.

They all look amazing honestly, a hooded edgelord, a jumpsuit-wearing cyborg and an australian with a crazy haircut, it’s so much fun. The Glaive Dominus especially leans towards the Glaive Lord’s edgy hooded look, especially with that spiked cape, but you can still see his cybernetic eye from Perma Charge.

With higher Paragon Degrees, the Glaive Dominus does change in his appearance slightly, most notably is his cybernetic eye becoming this magical eye thing with a black sclera and green iris, and his cybernetic arm having a brighter green neon glow instead of it being metallic.

Plus, Glaive Dominus’ upgrade description is so edgy and villainous that I fucking love it.

It doesn’t even describe how much better the Paragon is compared to the Boomerang Tier 5s, if anything, it’s worded like Glaive Dominus is talking to himself and it’s amazing.

In conclusion, the Boomerang Monkey is a very flexible tower, fit for many strategies, and looks good while doing it, that’s why the Boomerang Monkey is my absolute favorite tower for Bloons.
