i hope no one at EA slept well last night
#i wonder how long they had this planned#three months after release still doesnt feel like a complete picture right#like gotdamn im a huge fan and i still couldnt buy the game right away#dont think it was even an issue of ‘if the game surmounted every obstacle we built in front of it and somehow sold well’#this was always the plan wasnt it#and based on the fact people voluntarily left between layoffs. the writing was probably on the wall#did the devs feel that all of veilguard was doomed and just had to put on a brave face#i keep seeing people discussing the fact that the series is over and like#im less worried about that lol we just got out of a ten-year dry spell#i like to play in the sandbox and it’s simply a pleasant surprise when we get new toys#mostly just wondering if everyone knew veilguard was going to be IT from the jump and it’s simply that they had to wait 90 days after relea#for the NDA to expire. or if this was a recent decision#the former is a little bit kinder to repay the people who have worked for you for 20 years yknow#but that also means everyone had to put on a brave face for marketing while knowing they were about to be unemployed!!#all around it fucking sucks#personal.txt
