3AM Drive - Thru (JJK x You x The8/Minghao)// Chapter 13

MASTERLIST

“Jeon Jungkook?” Y/N exclaimed, she cant help but smile so widely. Jungkook chuckled.

“We are halfway around the world away from home, and of all the faces and all the places, we had to meet each other. If this is not fate, then I dont know what this is,” Jungkook walked over to Y/N, grinning with his bunny teeth showing.

Its only been a few days, but Minghao is going crazy. He tried to reach Y/N, texting and calling but not once was it answered. Worse, the text is not even delivered. Is she really that mad at him to the extent that she dont even bother to open her phone? Is she busy? She did go there for business meetings afterall. Did something happen to her phone? Worse, did something happen to her?

So many thought crowding his mind and he knows, no matter how he tries to distract himself with dancing or helping Hoshi with new cheographies, only a reply from Y/N can ease his mind.

His mind returned back to the night of the party while he slide down at the corner of the practice room.

After he send the text to Y/N and told her that he will be out as soon as he meets the new girl group, he quickly grabbed his clothes and change. Totally forgetting to take out his phone from the suit he is currently wearing.

Once arrived at the after party, their manager gather them together and introduce them to the representative of a cosmetic brand that is interested to cast them and the new girl group for their new advertisement campaign.

After the formalities and unofficial agreements has been made, the representatives tells them to let loose and share a toast. Minghao politely refused at first, but both the manager and S.Coups glared at him, silently telling him not to be rude. One shot of toast turn to many others as apparently business people have many things to toast to.

He’s guessing that is when he got insanely drunk as his alcohol tolerance was never high anyway. Bits and pieces of him dancing, laughing and being extra friendly with the girl group members came back to him. Even in his drunk state, the thoughts of Y/N is still evident in his mind but he cant even seem to remember his own name at that moment, let alone that Y/N is waiting for him somewhere outside in the cold.

What he does remember is him helping one of the girls home. She, apparently is a lot drunker than he is and had drunk forced him to help take her home. With his already half sober state, he helped her back to her apartment. While trying to help her enter the building, she grabbed him out of the sudden for a kiss and that must be when the papparazzi snapped the photos. The photos that Y/N had seen. He immediately push her away, asks the building doorman to help her and call a car to get home. He straight away passed out when he reached his room, too tired and too drunk to think of anything else.

The memories of that night makes him shudder. He swears that he wont ever touch a drink again, even for formalities or business deals, never again. Maybe except on his weddjng day with Y/N. Minghao shakes his head to that thoughts. Yeah right, like she would ever even speak to him again.

Despite not receiving any respond from Y/N, Minghao still keeps on trying. He sends long text messages explaining the situation, asking, no, begging, for forgiveness and daily good morning and good night texts, hoping that when Y/N finally opens her phone, she will understand and maybe forgive him. As for now, Minghao can only wish for the days to come faster, yearning for the day Y/N was scheduled to come back from her trip. He promise himself, if by some miracle Y/N forgives him and still wants him, he will finally succumb to his feelings and never letting her go ever again.

Days passed by, and nothing change. Minghao still tries to distract himself with extra practice and dancing, and he still relentlessly texting and calling Y/N, which still have her phone off.

“Oh shit,” a voice from across the practice room snap him back to reality. Minghao looked up from his phone to see DK, Mingyu and Seungkwan looking at him. They seem to be gathering around, looking at something Mingyu is showing on his phone. And by the way they were looking at him now, he’s pretty sure its something related to him. Is it rumors about him and the girl group again?

“What?” Minghao is irritated.

“Nothing hyung,” Seungkwan quickly hide the phone behind him.

“Okay now I know its definitely something,” Minghao gets up and snatched the phone away. All three of them, including Seungkwan, who has been thoroughly informed by Mingyu, knows about the ‘tragedy’ between him and Y/N, and they know better not to mess with him when he’s in this kind of mood.Minghao sends them a death glare and looks at the phone.

BTS’ JEON JUNGKOOK & SONG Y/N SPOTTED IN A CAFE IN SPAIN! Are they on a secret romantic getaway together?

Below the headlines are photos of Jungkook and Y/N sharing a cozy lunch in a small cafe in the middle of Spain. Most importantly, they are laughing and happy. Minghao almost threw the phone against the wall if its not for DK who went to snatch the phone away from him.

Is this why you didnt even bother to power on your phone? Was I right? Did you finally realize your feelings for me are just temporary and gone back to Jungkook?

And as if the universe is mocking him, his phone dings, indicating a text message is received. He eyed the screen to see who’s the sender.

———————————————————– “You cant be serious?!” Y/N screamed. She’s not one to loose her temper easily, especially when its towards an innocent worker.

The airport staff just told her that they have lost, no, quoting them 'misplaced’ all her luggage. After a long night of not sleeping yesterday, jetlegged and the emotional stress with what happened with Minghao, Y/N just feels like punching somebody right now. And the staff who delivered her the god awful bad news seems like a very good candidate. What kind of business class flight is this? This is why she should have listen to her father and just take the company private chartered flight. But no, she just had to insist on taking the normal flight.

“We..we are sorry miss. But we will find the misplaced luggage in 72 hours,” the airport staff stuttered. Y/N close her eyes and rubbed her temples.

“Fine! Like there’s anything I can about it anyway. But be informed that I will never ever board your flight company again! And a very personal complain will be sent straight to your CEO!” she huffed and walked away. The staff just nodded weakly. It was not in Y/N’s nature to get angry and act rude to others, but she just cant take anymore bad news today.

“Dont worry miss. We will straight away plan a shopping trip to replace all your lost belongings after you are well rested,” her assistant rush to catch up with her fast pace.

“Fine,” Y/N rummaged through her carry on and finally realized something. “Arghhhhhh,” her scream almost gave her already frightened assistant a heart attack.

“Miss are you alright?”

“My phone is in my luggage! My lost luggage!”

After she had send the last message to Minghao, she was so upset to the point she immediately turn it off and carelessly just threw it inside her luggage. She cant and wont be using it on the plane anyways. Especially she knows that Minghao must be having a terrible hangover and there’s no way in hell he would be awake at 7am.

Y/N did look forward to read his explanation, if there is any, or any reply from him once she reached her destination. As much as what happenned last night upset her and broke her heart, she stills believes in Minghao. She believes that he wont do that to her on purpose. He won’t, wouldn’t he? He said he love her, didnt he? And now… this shit happen!

“We..we can also buy a new phone, miss,” her assistant stuttered. Praying to God that Y/N wont scream at her this time.

“What’s the point… it will take time to reconfigure it again for me to get all my texts and stuff, and that is if they can retrieved it,” Y/N almost feels like crying now. “I guess I’ll just wait for them to return my luggage,”

After a relaxing shower and a nice short nap, Y/N is ready for her shopping trip to find a few neccessities for the next few days until her luggage is found. She still have about 2 days before all her meetings start, and she plan to use it wisely on food and shopping.

Y/N had requested to go on her shopping trip alone and ask her driver to just take the car and wait for her at a coffee shop. She knows she can spend hours in one shop alone and she understands how boring it is for a middle age man to follow her around for things like that.

After a couple of hours, and with dozens of shopping bags in tow (of course she bought more that just to replace her lost belongings), Y/N spotted a cafe not far away and decide to take a short tea break before continuing round two.

As she was balancing all her purchases between her two hands and steadying herself to walk on the cobble stone walkway in her 5 inch heels, a man who seems in a rush bumped into her, causing her to fall flat on her butt, all her bags strewn everywhere. The man says a quick sorry and rushed off, not even bothering to check if she was okay.

Seriously, can today get any worse?

“Excuse me miss, let me help you,” a man addressed her in English, picking and passing her one of her bags and offering her a hand to help her up. She brushed the dust off her skirt and looked up to the man, ready to thank him.

“Jeon Jungkook?” Y/N exclaimed, she cant help but smile so widely. Jungkook chuckled.

“Its so so so nice to see a familiar face!” she jumped to hug him, hands around his neck. After the day she had, it is really nice to see someone familiar. Y/N is too caught up in her happiness that she didnt realize she is hugging Jeon Jungkook a little too intimately.

Jungkook, on the other hand, can feel his heart beating faster and faster because of her actions. Calm down, Jungkook. It’s just a friendly hug.

“Wow, someone seems to be happy to see me! You must be having a bad day, Y/N,” he teased. “But by looking at that,” he points to the shopping bags strewn everywhere , “I might be wrong,” he laughs.

“Oh shut up! I am having a bad day. The worse actually,” Y/N playfully smack his chest. Jungkook laughs and helps her pick up all her shopping bags.

“Let’s go for a drink, and you can tell me all about your bad day,”

“Andddd that’s what happen. I mean, I could have been kidnap right now and my team wont even have a way to contact me. Well, atleast now I can get kidnap in a stylish outfit,” Y/N raised one of her shopping bags. Jungkook chuckle.

“By the way, what are you doing here? You didnt tell me you were also flying out yesterday,”

“We are here for a fansign and a photoshoot for our summer package promotions,” Jungkook explains. The thought didnt cross his mind yesterday to tell Y/N that he is also flying out. Nothing crosses his mind that night actually. His thoughts were consumed by Y/N and Y/N alone.

Just sitting there in front of her in McDonald’s, wearing his beautifully tailored suit and her in such a gorgeous dress, he never felt happier. They were talking and joking and laughing just like old times and Jungkook wishes for nothing more than wanting that moment to last forever.

And now, so far away from home, she ended up in front of him again. Talking about her day so animatedly. Telling him things like they had never went through a bad time. Laughing with him like he never broke her heart. Jungkook cant help but just stare at her. If only you are still mine. He shakes his head and smile.

“Y/N, if you have time during your trip, maybe we can explore the city together? The hyungs never wants to go around with me,” Jungkook pouts.

“Hey, what a great idea! I’m all alone anyways. My team never wants to explore places with me. Something about 'not wanting to hang around with the boss’. I’m an amazing boss, and I’m also a great friend! I dont understand whyyy,” Y/N complains.

Her pouty action makes the butterflies in Jungkook’s heart went on a rampage. He shows his bunny smile, “Great. Then I will pick you up at your hotel everyday when we are both done with our things okay?”

Y/N simply nodded. Not sensing anything other than maybe Jungkook is really trying to reconcile their friendship. Y/N suddenly grab his hand.

“Let me send all my things to the car and let’s go to the beach before we go home. Its almost sunset!” Y/N excitedly jumped up from her seat. Jungkook just agree. Y/N asking him to go to the beach with her, laughing with him, agreeing to sight see with him everyday in a foreign city…

If this is a dream, he dont ever want to wake up.

“I’m sorry it took longer than expected Miss,” the airport staff apologized profusely. Y/N just nodded, says a quiet thanks and wheeled all her luggage away. To be honest, she is still angry about the incident but right now she just wants to get back to the hotel and dig her phone out.

The first thing she did once she reached her room is plug in the charger. Once her phone lights up, she quickly finds the name she had wanted to reach for days now. She starts reading all his texts. More tears starts strraming down her face with every text she reads. He had explained the situation. He had asked for forgiveness. Although apparently he didnt actually went home with the girl, he did get drunk and left her alone in the cold to party and kiss the said girl. Y/N knows he doesnt mean it but still, what he did hurt. She can forgive hin for being stood up, the drunkeness, but the girls? Of everything he can forgive a man for, infidelity is definitely not one of it. But is it cheating if they are not even together?

Just then, her phone dings, indicating a new text message. Minghao. She quickly clicks the icon.

I love you Song Y/N. Please come back to me.

Y/N close her eyes and let the tears flow. Since the night that she confessed, Minghao never actually says he loves her again so directly. She knows he finally believe her when she said that she’s sure of her feelings for him, but she really dont know, at this moment, if she can forgive what he did so easily. Minutes passed, and she finally typed back a reply.

I’m sorry. I need time.

Jungkook kneeled down on one knee, one hand holding hers and another one holding open a small ring box.

“I dont want to ever lose you again. I dont ever want to feel regret for letting you walk out from my life ever again. Song Y/N, I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you, showering you with the love that you deserve. Will you marry me?”

With tears streaming down her cheeks, Y/N smiles.

Minghao quickly turns away from what he saw. It seems that his one mistake will haunt him forever. It costs him to lose the love of his life.

and one day you’re just swimming on the surface and saying hi to the cute seagulls when you notice the sky turning dark and the clouds getting shady so like it was basically time to go

but just then you notice a ship floating like nowhere cLOSE to the shore

even though mermaids were always called a myth and you’d get chewed out if anyone saw ur tail you’re like…I need to save them >:((

and so you swim over to save the poor souls when suddenly rain just started POURING and the winds picked up out of nowhere and then you saw a body fall into the sea

you eventually find him and you get rly alarmed bc he isn’t struggling or anything he’s just kinda lifelessly sinking

you grab him and basically turn into an underwater jet bc you’d never swam so fast no not even when your mermaid mom told you dinner was ready

getting him to shore was so difficult because 1) the human was heavy and 2) you had no legs so you had to crawl to get far enough onto land

the dude (seongwoo if y’all didn’t realize yet) still wasn’t moving and you were panicking like??? he shouldn’t be dead yet

you do the mermaid version of cpr which was to….press your lips against his to suck all the seawater out of him

a minute later you start getting dizzy because you’re getting too dry so you had to crawl back into the sea…and you proceed to go back home but you just…couldn’t get that man out of your head….

meanwhile a princess from a different country visiting seongwoo’s found him collapsed on the beach and shook him awake and seongwoo’s like…what happened??

rika told him that she “”saved”” him from drowning and he’s like…oh and that’s what she ends up telling the his father aka the KING and rumors spread around the palace like crazy like everyone was like damn they probably gonna get married now

meanwhile on yOUR END you were swimming towards the sea witch’s domain to ask for a pair of legs because after being on land and feeling the frustrations of being unable to stay for too long you REALLY wanted to become a human

the sea witch asks for your voice in exchange which was…a huge price

your singing is like the only thing that anyone’s ever praised you for so giving it up would be the same as tossing away half of your identity but…u know what, in the human world no one’s gonna know u anyway  

so she casts a spell and gives you the legs u wanted and then shoots u out of the sea

after you get to shore and struggle to get the hang of walking for like 7 hours you pick up some rags to cover yourself bc that stupid witch didn’t give u any clothes

you just want to explore the village and ur getting looks bc wtf ur wearing some dirty rags with sand all over and wobbling like jello but u don’t rly care

suddenly you find a boy aka sEONGWOO in a quiet part of the area just…dancing and you were like!!! oh my gOD that’s amazing how can his legs and arms move like that…

and without thinking you start…singing a melody to go along with his movements and seongwoo snaps his head around and is like??? holy moly what but a split second later he breaks out into this wide grin and just keeps dancing and going along to your wordless song with a contemporary style

you’re a little weirded out urself bc weren’t u supposed to lose your voice??

the witch from her chamber: SHIT I FUCKED THE SPELL UP

anyways ur like lol whatever my win and when u end your song seongwoo approaches you and is like…hey, who are you?

let’s pause for a second and imagine seongwoo with a long sleeved white collared shirt with the first few buttons not buttoned and like windswept black hair

anyways ur like holy triton he’s hot and you tell him your name and he starts questioning where u live and stuff and why you’re dressed like this and when you’re unable to give him a proper answer he’s like…hey do you wanna come with me? bc he figures that you might be an abandoned child

he smiles that prINCELY smile of his and says “you sing really well. i’d love to have a performance with you again.”

and then he calls his horse over to give you a ride back to the palace

listen…if u thought seongwoo driving a car was good pls imagine prince seongwoo riding a horse

when you guys get to the palace rika dASHES towards seongwoo and swallows him into a hug and you’re both like?????

rika: bABE!!! father agreed to our marriage!!!!!!!!!

rika: it’s in two months!!!!!!!!!

he’s so confused because his father literally nEVER discussed this with him and then a few seconds later when he finally understood the situation he immediately pushes rika off and sprints to his father’s study to argue

seongwoo: father?? why am I suddenly hearing news of marriage????

father: well, she did save you from drowning

seongwoo: I doubt it wtf her clothes weren’t even WET…like the most she could’ve done was shake me awake dad

father: ridiculous. I believe her claims like i’ve known her for three dayS seongwoo that’s enough for me to be able to tell that she’s an angel >:0. you’re already a young adult my son you need to find a partner soon so unless you can find a better option than rika then this marriage is gonna continue.

ten minutes later seongwoo comes out upset and annoyed and without saying anything else he just leaves for his room

you follow him bc like :((( poor bab. his door wasn’t locked so you just enter and ask if he’s okay

seongwoo smiles a little and just says “yeah…” but you knew he wasn’t

you: hey…it’s okay to talk to me about it

and tbh??? you’re literally the first person who’s ever shown any hint of genuine care for him without any motives…all seongwoo remembered from his childhood was getting spoiled silly because no one dared to get on the king’s bad side

and he tells you how he’s frustrated with all these decisions getting made for him and that he has absolutely no interest in an arranged marriage with someone who he doesn’t even know and for a whole half of hour he kinda just spills to you his entire childhood and the little things that he had been annoyed with but never had anyone to tell

and then he just exhales bc like that was sO much that he just dumped on you…and this is the point in which seongwoo unconsciously develops a special bond with you

and then he lets out a little laugh and ruffles your hair and is like lol sorry…let’s get you some decent clothes to try on ok? and he calls some maids over to get ur shit together

while changing into these weird (BUT EXTREMELY PRETTY) new clothes you realize that he was the boy you saved…but who would believe you?? you couldn’t be like hey guess what i’m the mermaid who saved u but i became a human last night

like the ppl here seem stupid but not that stupid

when you meet seongwoo again at the balcony with your combed hair and pretty clothes seongwoo was like oh my god…..they look gorgeous

he didnt say that tho like this is still ong mcongity the ongth ongster seongwoo

so he just winks and said “you’re gorgeous but….well, now ur next to me buddy ;)”

you shove him a lil and he laughs and then he asks u if you could sing for him again

and he just dances to your music all night long with an expression of pure bliss and at some point he grabs your hands and makes you dance with him hehe

cue ur dumb mermaid butt falling and tripping like 99 times but seongwoo enjoys it so much that he just laughs and pretends to fall with you

the next few days is just you and seongwoo singing and dancing like whenever y'all pass by each other in the hallways he makes the uGLIEST expression and just moves his arms and legs like an octopus and that always makes you giggle so hard bc that actually reminds u of ur octopus friends fredrick and joseph back at sea

he didn’t give a flying flick about wedding preparations and always avoided talking about it by grabbing you and fleeing to the town square to perform in front of whoever wanted to watch

rika always got livid whenever she hears that both the prince and u disappeared and would stay up as late as she could to “talk about it with her future husband” but u know what seongwoo doesn’t give a flying flick about her either so it’s just “yeah yeah” before he leaves again

you two get so much recognition and love from the townspeople they’re adore the performances so much and just get drawn to y’all like they’re in a trance

it’s so much fun!! some people even joke that u two are perfect for each other lmao

seongwoo: folds his ears to hide the blushing red tips

and then it gets to the point where!!! the king!!!!! asks you two to perform for the visiting countries!!!!!!!!!

it’s such an honor but honestly you feel so pressured bc like what if your voice cracks???? but seongwoo notices your nervousness quickly and so he walks over and grabs your hands and squeezes them and just says

“i believe in you.”

and your heart just MELTS bc…seongwoo had the softest and most gentle look on his face when he said that

“i really, truly, absolutely, definitely, totally—”

“stop,,,,right there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,” like dammit seongwoo DONT RUIN THE MOMENT

and then he takes your hand in a much more elegant manner and leads you onto the dance floor…where the two of you perform with every fiber of your being

once your song and his dance and the thunderous applause ends seongwoo turns to you with this grin that stretches across from one end of his face to the other and u rly can’t resist smiling back as widely as he is

a short while later you two are at the balcony again laughing about stuff when suddenly seongwoo goes “you know…I really wish that this could go on forever…like, just you and i dancing and singing together until my bones break”

you don’t know what to say to that bc his expression is so serious like he doesn’t look like the usual joking dude who eats ur slice of pizza when ur not looking

and suddenly u feel seongwoo leaning closer to you….like his face is INCHES away from yours and u can feel his breath on your skin…….

“if you agree to it…i can ask my father to stop the wedding so that….you and i can be together instead…”

you’re like sweating right now bc??? what is he saying???? and for a few seconds you can’t tell whether that loud thumping sound was coming from your chest or his

“you’re the first person who i’ve been able to confide in and talk to…I don’t care what your background is, I—actually, what am I saying haha this is embarrassing, never mind—”

“yes”

his eyes pop wide open and he’s like??? what?????

you make this embarrassed lil smile and just go,,, “i’m willing to spend the rest of my life with you, ong seongwoo.”

seongwoo’s entire body just flares up and this burst of joy EXPLODES within him and he’s absolutely unable to contain it so he suddenly pulls you into a bear hug and spins you around and around

and he’s laughing like…after over twenty years of being treated like a he could never be a normal person and enduring the fake kindness being thrown at him for self benefit he finally found happiness and it’s honestly the BEST feeling that he’s ever experienced

and you’re laughing while in his arms but the you suddenly say “"hey…but what if i’m a mermaid?”

he almost drops u like wHAT

but then a second later his wits take over bc hey he’s ong mcongity the ongth ongster seongwoo

and he makes this playful grin and is like “it was my childhood dream to marry a mermaid”

THE PUZZLE CHAPTER FOUR

March 30th, 1996

"Grandpa. what is this?" I ask, holding up a newspaper headlining 'Local Psychic Found Dead.'

He walks over and snatches it from my hand, "Nothing, stay out of that box." I don't listen and look through all the other papers, a lot of them dating back pretty far.

"What are these?" I ask again, ignoring his previous order.

"Grayson Renee, I told you to stop looking through those."

"These are all deaths, who are these people?" I persist, my 13 year old self as curious as ever.

He lets out a long sigh, fed up with my curiosity, "Those are your late relatives, both your mom and dad's sides."

I continue flipping through the papers as he continues talking. "I just wanted to keep them all just in case." He takes the box away and leaves the room.

Later that night, before bed I try to ask him about those newspapers again. "Grandpa?"

"What, Grayson?" He asks, by his tone I can tell he's irritated by something. I walk further into the room to ask him.

"I really want to know about those papers, I barely know anything about our family, except for you and mom and dad."

"Grayson, I don't want to talk about this, and if you ask me about it again I will add another 5 miles to your morning route."

"But-"

"One more time and I'll send you off to hunt some wendigo. Stop." He knows wendigos are my least favorite, I've been scared of them since he took me on a hunt when I was 9. Ever since then he's used them as a punishment.

"Sorry," I say and walk out of the kitchen.

"Grayson," he starts and I think hes about to say something to make me feel better but then he says, "Don't forget to get up early for that extra 5 miles." Why was I surprised?

January 7th, 2007

After days of searching and searching, I finally find something that might help me figure out why I'm being targeted by Mindy in one of the old boxes my grandpa keeps my moms things in. The address is attached to the name Rita, and its the only address in all of Mom's things, so it must be important.

I find the address in a small town only a couple hours away. At first I'm not sure if its right, because the address on the paper matches one outside of a psychic reading place, but then I realize that's not out of the ordinary for my job.

I park across the street and cross the road to the small shop. I walk in to find bright colored beads on the door and even more vibrant curtains hanging everywhere. The bell on top of the door rings and I stop to take in the place.

"Hello?" I call. I move further into the colorful mess and almost trip on a rug, "Is anyone here?"

There's a single doorway with another set of beads hanging from the frame, I look over my shoulder and keep walking. The hall is very narrow with only three doors. I walk into the first room on the right and see a crystal ball in the middle of the room. I walk to it and put my hand on it.

"Grayson, dont touch that," A woman's voice says behind me.

I jump and turn around to face a curvy dark woman, who I'm guessing is Rita.

"Sorry. Are you- Rita?" I ask, putting my hands in my back pockets.

"Yes." She replies simply.

"Wait how do you know my name?" I ask.

"How do you know mine?" She counters.

"I was looking in my moms stuff and your name and this address were circled, I was wondering if you could help me," I explain.

"Oh, that demon told you to look up your history, of course I can help you!"

"How do you know-"

"Did you read the sign outside? I'm a psychic, and I've been keeping my mind on you lately." Well that's not creepy.

"Did you know my mom, Elizabeth Reed?" I ask and she gestures for me to sit in a plush chair by the crystal ball.

"Yeah, she was a good friend of mine, she is the one that wanted me to keep an eye on you for her if something happened." And something did happen, but why am I meeting her just now then?

"Because your stubborn grandpa wouldn't let me near you!" she huffs, " Lets just get to business. Give me your hands." I do and she closes her eyes.

"How will this help me?"

"Shh."

I stop talking and sit in silence while she does whatever shes doing.

"You are so brave, but hot headed and my- very impulsive, so much that you've almost gotten yourself killed many times. But you are also very strategic and analytical. That's it, you let your feelings get the best of you. Now lets look at whats ahead for you- Ooh! Some attractive young men, and- oh my god-"

"What? What is it?"

Her eyes snap towards me and she speaks, "It's like a puzzle that came without all the pieces. Listen to me now: You are almost put together, but the last piece you've been looking for will come at a very high price. You've been solving this puzzle without even knowing it. Putting it all together on your own, but this last, most important piece you will need help with. I will emphasize that this piece...it will cost you greatly."

"Wha- what are you-?" I start, confused.

"I'm sorry, but these visions come so fast and short, but just enough so I can sort it out."

"So what do you mean by puzzle? Am I going to die?" I ask.

"Well, everyone's gonna die!" She laughs, "But, my vision wasn't very pleasant. I think it means that your time is coming a little sooner than planned. And the puzzle pieces I saw symbolize you putting yourself together."

"I didn't know I was broken," I say solemnly and look to the floor. She notices and changes the subject.

"Want to try me?" She asks, and I'm utterly confused.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Try reading me, it doesn't have to be the future, just look at me and tell me what you know." She urges.

I take a deep breath and look at her, Grandpa did teach me how to tell when people were lying. Maybe that's similar.

"I think, you know a lot of hunters, but aren't one. Um...that you...like...cats?" I suck.

She laughs, "your Grandpa spent so much time training you physically and mentally, but he couldn't take some of it to teach you to read people? God that man was crazy."

"I didn't know being a psychic was something you could learn," I state.

"It's not, but anyone can learn body language, I mean those analysis people in the FBI can do it, so why can't you?"

I give her an awkward look, "how do you know about my training?"

"Well, first off I knew your grandpa, and second, just reading you I can tell you've been through a lot, both physically and mentally. I'm guessing he worked you to death."

"Well he-"

"Don't be modest dear, if you saw other hunters I've met, their skills would seem like child's play compared to yours. He worked you hard and for a long time, how old were you?"

"When he started training me? About 7 or 8." I reply. I think she's just trying to be nice, there are tons of hunters that are better than me.

"I'm not trying to be nice, I mean it. There's maybe a dozen other hunters I know that have the same amount of abilities you do, and fewer that use the ones they have correctly."

I talk to Rita for hours, about anything and everything that comes up. For some reason I feel really comfortable around her, which is weird because it takes me a long time to warm up to people, but I just want to hug her and bake her some cookies.

Around 8 at night I finally ask about my family, see if she knows anything.

"I was wondering when you'd ask," she takes In a breath like she's about to tell a long story. I scrunch my legs up on the couch next to me and sip the hot chocolate she made me.

"You come from a very long line of powerful people. And I mean, powerful. I think you are related to some amazons, demons, witches, psychics, monsters, prophets, men of letters members, and of course, a very long line of hunters."

"Ok wait what? What the hell is men of letters and aren't amazons like goddesses? I thought they killed the father of their kid and took it away." This is a head rush, how the hell is it possible to have that much in my blood?

"Well actually, I think the Amazon broke away from tradition and took the baby, then raised it and eventually the Amazon blood thinned over generations. So don't worry, I don't think you have any weird powers of theirs," Rita assures me.

"I still don't understand why this demon- Mindy- is after me, she says it's because of my family and because she thinks I'll get in the way of plans she has or something."

"I don't understand either, but honestly, who wouldn't be threatened by a hunter with all that history behind her name? With that kind of blood you're bound to be powerful."

"But why did she kill my parents and my grandma and-" I start but she interrupts me.

"Maybe these plans she's talking about have something directly to do with your family, a contract or something," she guesses and sets her coffee cup on the table.

I look at the time on my phone, it's almost 9, if I want to get home I need to leave and start on the two hour drive. I look at Rita, not sure how to politely say I need to leave.

"It's alright, I understand, just keep in touch with me okay sweetie?" She hugs me and walks me out the door.

I walk out to the street and she calls out from the door, "I want you to have this!" She tosses me a bracelet and I catch it in my hand, "just to keep me with you, I'll protect you even when I'm not there."

"Thanks Rita!" I call out and get into my car. She walks back into her shop and I examine the bracelet. It's a thin purple material and has beads with markings I don't recognize, I'll ask her about them next time I talk to her. I put the bracelet on my right wrist and start the car.

While driving down the highway I keep one hand on the wheel and play with a bracelet with my other hand. There's barely any other cars driving at this time so I go over the speed limit at about 90 mph. I drive some more and a car finally appears in front of me. They get over to the left lane and I speed up to pass them. But when I'm right next to them, they speed up too. I look over to some guy about my age smiling like a crazy person.

Nobody is around, so if he wants to race, then why not?

I slam my foot on the gas and get ahead of him. He catches up and starts driving closer to me. I try to speed away again, but he keeps up to my pace. Every second I get closer to falling off the shoulder into a ditch. I start honking my horn at him, but he smiles again and his eyes go black. I should've known better. I slam my car into his to get a spot on the road. No matter how much I try to speed away, he manages to keep up. The only option left is to slow down. I wait for the right moment and take my foot off the pedal, leaving him to keep going while I fall back.

He does half a donut and his car faces mine. I don't back off the gas and keep going forward. He starts driving towards me too. Looks like he wants to play chicken. I'll just drive straight at him until the last minute then swerve out of the way. My heart races more and more the closer I get. I let off the gas a little and get ready to dart out of the way. I turn the wheel as fast as I can but its like he read my mind and swerves his car into mine, crashing into the side of the front hood. My air bag goes out and I try to get control of the car. Before I know it, my car rolls into the ditch at the side of the highway.

I open my eyes and everything is upside down. I unbuckle my seat belt and crawl through the shattered drivers side window.

"Man, that was fun." A man's voice says, I look up and its the demon I was racing. Ha, I guess he's a speed demon.

"It'll be even more fun when I send you back to hell," I spit, standing up.

"It'll be pretty hard to exorcise yourself don't you think?" He asks, walking towards me.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Just then he opens his mouth to release a black cloud.

"Shit." I say and try to run while feeling for my anti possession necklace. I don't make it even two feet before I lose control of my own body and feel someone else in my head.

The demon walks my body into the roadhouse. It's late, and there's barely anyone there. It sits me down on one of the stools of the bar and waits there. Finally, Jo walks out from the back and looks surprised to see anyone.

"Hey Grayson, didn't think I'd see you here, do you need something?" She asks while drying out some cups with a rag.

The demon reaches into my belt for a pistol very slowly and replies, "yeah actually," he pulls it out to aim at her, "I want to see you dead."

Jo is startled and backs away, "what are you-"

In my voice, the demon cuts her off, "where's that bitch mother of yours?"

A gun clicks behind my possessed body. Ellen. "Right here. Now you put that gun down or I will shoot." They can't tell I'm possessed and watching everything, not able to stop it.

Quickly, my body turns and the handle of the pistol hits Ellen in the forehead, leaving a trace of blood in her hairline. I--the demon--hits her in the temple this time, knocking her out.

She turns her attention back to Jo, who is still unarmed behind the counter.

"Well now that she's out of the way-" the demon starts but is cut off by Jo.

"What do you want? I thought you were a hunter."

"I am. But just because we have similar jobs doesn't mean I have to like you. Ha! You'd be lucky if you're alive when I walk out of here." It states and aims the gun lower. She shoots her in the foot.

"OW YOU BITCH!" Jo yells and falls to the ground. It walks behind the bar to stand above her.

"Night night." She says and hits her with the gun like she did to Ellen.

The demon ties Ellen and Jo up to chairs with some chains. She paces around, waiting for them to wake up on their own. When they start waking, she sits down in a chair right in front of them, elbows on knees and hands on cheeks.

"I don't get it, why are you doing this?" Ellen asks. Speed Demon just laughs in her face.

"Because I can." It states simply, stealing my voice.

"You bitch, when someone finds out there's gonna be-" Jo starts.

"Gonna be what? You think I can't handle some amateur hunters? I'm in the big leagues and you're just some bitches who run a bar to serve the weak hunters I can kill with my bare hands." The words come out menacing, the demonic personality showing through.

"What about those boys you were just hunting with? The Winchester boys, Sam and Dean. Or Bobby Singer, Rachel Lance, I can list off a lot of hunters who can take you on, hon," Ellen states with a straight face, looking me dead in the eyes.

Speed Demon smiles, "listen, if you want to call them, fine. You'll be dead by the time anyone comes."

It pulls out my cellphone and calls Bobby. It rings a few times but then someone on the other end picks up.

"Hello?"

"Hey Bobby, it's Grayson, I have Ellen and Jo with me and they want to talk to you." He puts the phone to Ellen's ear after turning it to speaker.

"Bobby. We need help now, we're tied up and we aren't getting out anytime soon- just- " The demon pulls the phone away and speaks to Bobby.

"So if you wanna come, were at the roadhouse, don't be long, I don't plan on staying too late." My voice states over the phone and hangs up.

"Grayson, I just don't understand why you're doing this," Ellen says, trying to look me in the eyes, not knowing that when she looks into my eyes a demon is staring back at her.

"Ellen Harvelle," My body says, then turns her head to Jo, "and Jo Harvelle. Maybe you don't understand because you're incompetent, but there's not a reason for everything."

"What are you going to do to us?" Jo asks, putting on a tough face. I feel my mouth grin wickedly.

"I'm gonna torture you a bit, maybe tell you some stories and leave your bodies here before anyone can catch me," he states, twirling a knife in my hand.

He takes the knife and holds it to Jo's throat, "or how about I just kill you right now?"

"Don't touch her!" Ellen yells and the knife is pulled from Jo's neck.

"Oh, look. Your mommy is coming to the rescue- it's funny because you're both at my mercy right now. What are you going to do Ellen? Nag me to death about how disappointed my parents would've been?" Speed Demon asks.

She walks to stand in front of Ellen, whose eyes are like daggers, "no, but maybe he can."

I feel the demon give a look of confusion as Ellen nods forward. Before my body can turn around, something hits me in the back of the head, making my whole body stumble forward almost landing on Ellen.

The demon turns me to face Bobby. "Glad you could make it. That was fast."

"I was working on something not too far from here," Bobby replies as if having normal conversation.

Without a moments notice, the demon kicks Bobby in the stomach, sending him backwards into a table. He stalks over to him and he raises a gun. My body stops, the demon acting how he thinks I would.

"What happened to that car I gave you? It's not out there," Bobby says.

"Nothing worth telling. Cut the small talk, let's get this over with so I can kill you." Just then Bobby's face gives away that he has an idea of what's going on, or he did the whole time.

"Alright you demonic asshole. Show yourself." Bobby orders and the demon acts confused, but Bobby won't back down.

He drops the act and smiles, making my eyes go black.

"That's what I thought." Bobby says and lowers his gun (thank god) knowing it would be useless and only hurt me.

"Give yourself a clap on the back, these two bitches would've gone forever without knowing," the demon says.

"What are you doing with her? There's no way this is a coincidental possession now is there?" Bobby asks.

The demon smiles again, "Bobby Singer, you just know everything now don't you? Grayson here doesn't even know about that."

"She doesn't need to know. I made a promise and I will keep it." Bobby answers, slowly creeping his way to standing position across from my possessed form.

"Wow. Such a stand up guy. I bet Grayson would love to know you were keeping that from her." Bobby creeps his hand into his back pocket, the demon barely noticing. He pulls out a flask or holy water.

He opens the lid with one hand behind his back and with one, quick and solid movement, the water splashes into my face. The scream hurts Bobby's ears as he goes to get Ellen and Jo free from their bindings. He manages to free Jo first by the time my possessed body recovers from the holy water and lunges at them. Bobby holds her off while Jo works to free her mother.

My hands grasp Bobby's arms and the force throws him to the ground on his back. Speed Demon pins him down with my knees and begins punching him until blood flows from his nose and mouth and covers the lower half of his face. When he starts choking on his own blood, it gets off of him and wipes the blood off of my hands and onto my jeans. He turns to find Ellen free and Jo missing completely.

"Try to let Jo save herself?" The demon mocks with a soft tone, keeping eye contact while moving towards the nearest table.

"Don't worry about her, come on, I can take you." Ellen challenges and the demon can't seem to resist and smiles an asshole smile.

"No problem," It states and picks up one of the chairs by the table and hits Ellen straight over the head with it, knocking her body to the ground limp.

After the blow, something hard hits my body across the back; its Jo with an old shotgun.

Demon boy sits up on my elbows and spits blood before talking, "You sneaky bitch." He wipes the blood off my face with the back of my hand and stands.

"I'll give that one to you, blondie, I didn't see that coming," my voice says gravelly.

"Too bad you won't be able to see that," Jo says and something else knocks my body off balance, Bobby. Jo grabs me and drags me behind the bar, where a devils trap was made. That's where Jo disappeared to.

They try to throw the demon in the circle, but it manages to free my right arm and and connects it to Jo's nose. He gets free and grabs Jo by the back of the neck and slams her head into the bar. He then turns to Bobby, who picked up Jo's shotgun.

"What, did you decide shes not worth saving anymore?" The demon taunts.

"Shooting someone doesn't always mean killing," Bobby replies.

"Do it, then. Make her feel pain, you're just making my job easier," the demon says with a smug smile.

"What job?"

"Well, its obvious that you know about Grayson's situation here. You know demons killing off her whole family, Mindy coming to finally end the bloodline. Shes my boss, and my job is to make Grayson suffer as much as possible before she comes for her," the demon explains.

"This has gone on long enough, your boss already took more than she bargained for. Daniel told me that much," Bobby spits.

"Are you really surprised that demons betrayed your friends family?" In one swift movement the demon kicks the shotgun out of Bobby's grip and then kicks him in the stomach.

"Well this has been fun, but I have to get going," Speed Demon says to the three hunters binded to a pole.

"Just wait, someone will find out I'm gone and will come after you and send your ass back to hell!" Bobby yells.

"Hunters come here all the time, someone will find us later and it won't be hard to find you," Ellen adds.

My demon just laughs and stares at them, "well that's the plan. I was actually thinking about going to your house Bobby."

"What could you possibly want to go to my house for?!"

"See, I'm a curious little demon and I want to see all the skeletons in your closet."

There's a beeping noise and the demon pulls my phone out of my pocket, "Look at that! Its time for me to go, bye bye!" the demon says and leaves the Roadhouse in my body.

After hearing the engine of a car roar away, Jo starts wiggling around to get out.

"What are you doing Jo?" Ellen asks.

"She left my phone in my pocket, I can feel it."

"The one closest to me?" Ellen asks.

"Yeah." Ellen reaches her tied hands towards Jo back pocket. She gets the phone and dials then puts it on speaker.

The demon uses my body to look around Bobby's house for the next couple hours. At one point it stops in front of a mirror to look at the person its occupying.

"It would be a shame if this meatsuit was wasted on another demon..if anything you should be grateful, not all demons keep their bodies this nice for so long," it says, knowing I can hear.

"Thanks for being such a nice demon," a voice says and it turns to find Bobby standing there with a gun aimed at him.

"Wanna shoot? Go ahead!"

"I bet Grayson will be so happy to find out you were keeping secrets from her and that you put a hole through her chest!"

"Who said I was going to shoot?" Bobby asks and swiftly slides to the side and Ellen comes from behind him and splashes holy water on me. My body let out a shriek in an unhuman way, and the water sizzles on my skin and burns the demon inside. Ellen keeps throwing more on whenever the previous throw wears off. Bobby yells for Jo, and she comes with another jug of holy water. Bobby pulls out some spray paint and starts drawing a devils trap on the wood floor.

Ellen begins running out of water and Jo comes closer to her mother and starts splashing the water in the my direction.

"STOP!" it screams, "I CAN KILL HER RIGHT NOW IF YOU DON'T STOP!"

Jo hesitates at this, giving the demon the opportunity it was looking for. It smacks the jug of water out of her hands and knocks her to the floor with a solid punch to the jaw.

"JO!" Ellen yells and starts towards her daughter.

Bobby grabs her by the arm to stop her, "finish the trap and I'll hold her off."

Ellen nods and takes the can of paint. Bobby stands between my body and Ellen.

"Just another old man trying to hold her back. How ironic is that?" the demon asks, playing.

"How ironic is what?" Bobby asks sourly.

"Well, I've been digging around in Grayson's head and it looks like she finally felt safe and that she wouldn't have to worry about liars once old Gramps died. Little did she know, a hunter that seemed so trustworthy was keeping secrets for him," it laughs.

"I was protecting her, it would've been even worse if she knew."

"She went to a psychic you know, one of her moms old friends. Even she didn't know--or just wouldn't tell."

Ellen finishes the trap and looks at Jo knocked out on the floor.

"Shes not dead, Harvelle," The demon states and looks past Bobby at her, "so you can stop making that ugly face."

Bobby lunges at me and knocks me to the ground. My possessed body lands beneath him. While Bobby holds me down, Ellen dashes across the room to grab the nearly empty jug of holy water. She douses me and then as the demon screams in pain, Bobby throws me into the Devils trap.

Bobby begins chanting in Latin and Ellen goes to Jo's side. My body shakes as the demon fights being evicted. At this point the demon yells anything to make Bobby stop, but he doesn't. Black smoke rises out of my mouth and leaves the house.

And my body falls to the floor.

I wake up feeling sore and tired and on someone's couch. I didn't realize how exhausting it was to be possessed. I sit up and recognize whose house I'm in--Bobby Singer's.

"Grayson?" Bobby asks.

"I'm awake," I reply and move the blanket off of my legs and go to the kitchen where Ellen and Jo are with Bobby.

"How are ya feelin?" Ellen asks.

"Sore. Tired. And a little mad." I say and cross my arms to glare at Bobby.

"What are you looking at me like that for?" Bobby asks, but I have a feeling he might know what I'm talking about.

"I might've forgotten most of it, but I think I heard some stuff I wasn't supposed to. How could you not tell me that you knew what was happening to me?"

Ellen and Jo walk out of the room and leave Bobby and I alone.

"Your grandpa thought it was the best way to protect you, and I agreed with him."

"Are you kidding me?! How in the hell would that protect me?!" I yell.

"The less you knew, the easier it kept you hidden from that demon."

"Oh that's bullshit. There is nothing worse than ignorance, and that's what you made me: ignorant. Maybe if I knew what was going on, I could've done something about it!"

"There's nothing you could've-"

"I'm not even talking about grandpa, I'm talking about everyone! MY PARENTS. MY GRANDMOTHER. NINA. CAMERON. AND WHO KNOWS WHO DIED BECAUSE THEY WERE CLOSE TO ME! SO YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO HIDE THIS FROM ME!"

"Fine," he says and backs up to lean on the counter, "A long time ago, one of your ancestors a few generations back made a deal."

A shiver runs across my body and it must've been visible, since he stops. I nod to let him continue the story.

"Well, he made a deal, not some crossroads deal. A big one. He wanted to make the strongest and best of hunters, he wanted to mix in psychics, witches, Amazons, and anything else to make the perfect hunter; he basically asked for all the strengths of those things to go to his family, but without the monstrosities that came with it."

"I saw my moms friend Rita right before that bastard possessed me, she said that those kinds of people were all in my family."

"See, he wanted his family to be successful, but not necessarily himself. The demon that gave him the deal made it so that his kids and their kids would marry someone that wasn't the average hunter. I think his son married a witch, so his grandson could do magic, but wasn't fully a monster that others would hunt. That just kept repeating with different creatures."

"But I don't see how that would affect me that much, if it was only on one parents side," I add.

"That's another thing, one part of the deal was that one half of the family would be that way,and the other would be pure bred hunters, so that one day there will be an ultimate hunter at the end of the two lines. But you're --however many greats-- grandpa was stupid, and didn't really listen or didn't care about the demons conditions," Bobby explains, "That demon made it so that he could kill everyone involved with no problem."

"So what, he made a deal to make our family great, just so they can die whenever?" I ask.

"Well, your grandparents on your moms side managed to stay safe for a while, but as you know, it didn't last that long. Daniel told me all this when he thought they were coming after you two."

"Wait so I'm supposed to be some sort of super hunter?"

"That's what Daniel thought, since he married a medium, and then his daughter married the son of all that monster lineage."

I don't even know how to process this. So I'm some sort of demon made super hunter that my ancestor got my whole family killed for? I go to sit back on the couch, almost out of breath from all this new information that was with Bobby this whole time.

"So what about Mindy? Is she the demon that made the deal? Is that why she wants to kill me?"

"No. She just works for the demon that did it."

"Well if his deal was to make-- to make me, then shouldn't I be able to live?"

"That's the complicated part, Daniel knew that the two bloodlines finally met to make you, but he didn't know what was supposed to happen after that."

"That doesn't explain why this Mindy chick is gunning for me, why can't I live? Cant they just let me live since they reached the end of it?"

"My guess is that you're a threat. That demon went through quite a bit for one deal, too much to just get to kill all those people. He must have something else that he wants."

I run my hand through my hair, my head spinning. Just then Jo enters.

"Yeah, he wants her dead," Jo says, and looks at me, "and hes going to kill everyone that gets in the way."

Lost Stars - Part 18

“KIM SEOKJIN OF ALL PEOPLE JUNGKOOK! DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND HOW BAD THIS COULD GET?!” Kijung roared. “Dad, he asked for it. He pushed me. Look at my clothes!” “I DONT CARE JUNGKOOK! I RAISED YOU BETTER THAN THIS! IF HE PRESSES CHARGES, I LOSE MY JOB! HIS FATHER IS MY BOSS AND YOU KNOW HOW HE FEELS ABOUT YOU ALREADY!”

You and your mother exchanged looks… well, she was fuming with you and looking at you with fury. Furious you’d left school with Jungkook and disappeared for hours. You’d tried to explain you were too scared to say no, but she was having none of it, of course blaming your friends and newfound attitude.

An hour and a half later, and you and Jungkook were both grounded for two weeks. To be completely honest, neither of you were going to complain. Two weekends in each other’s company didn’t seem like a punishment at all…

Later that night, you and Jungkook ended up going to bed hungry. Your mother decided she wasn’t cooking for delinquents. Typical.

It had quickly become boring in your room, after finishing your homework and beginning to binge watch Say Yes To The Dress. Two pairs of feet scuffled outside of your room and you heard a bedroom door close. Finally, your mother and Kijung had gone to bed.

You waited for half an hour before quietly opening your door and venturing out into the now dark halls. The second you passed Jungkook’s room, an arm snaked around your waist, a hand over your mouth as you were pulled back. You let out a squeak.

“Shut up!” Jungkook hissed and you immediately began to pull yourself out of his grasp. “Are you crazy?!” You hissed. “Are you?! What are you doing?!” “Believe it or fucking not, Jeon, I’m starving. I was going to get food.” “What kind of food?” “I don’t know a sandwich or something.” “Wouldn’t you prefer something a little… hotter.” “What- …oh. Very funny Jungkook. I’m going to eat.” “I can tell in your eyes you want to.” “Jungkook I’m not sucking your dick.” “Fine, fine. If I have to do it myself, you’re not allowed to do anything to yourself unless I say you can.” “You’re mental. You can’t stop me.” “Oh really?” “Yeah.” “Get on your knees and maybe I’ll make it worth your while.” “Jungkook. You’re really going to have to do better than that.” You crossed your arms sternly.

Jungkook slowly walked over to his bedside table, crouching down to the bottom draw and pulled out something metallic. He stood up, holding both hands behind his back. Once he was in front of you again, he lifted his left arm to reveal a pair of handcuffs.

“Oh fuck.” “Temped yet?” He smirked. “Why don’t you tell me what you’ll do with them, first?” “Well, obviously first I’d strip you of those cute little pyjamas, and then I’d push you down onto the bed with all of my force, making you you kept quiet as I lock your wrists together between one of the bars on my headboard. I’d tease you, make you beg for me. And only when I’m satisfied will I drive you into my bed, hard and fast as I can. I’ll punish you if you even dare to make a noise. I’ll fuck you better than anyone ever could. You’d never forget it.”

At some point, his eyes had clouded over with lust, voice deepening to a sexy growl. He was looking at you like you were meat, and you wanted to be devoured. Keeping your eyes locked with his, you sunk to your knees, unzipping his jeans.

“Good girl.”

Jungkook had done exactly what he promised to you, teasing you, drilling you into his mattress, keeping you quiet. It was truly the most amazing experience of your life. He was right, there was no way you were going to forget it.

The next day, however, was just torturous. Your entire body from head to toe ached and Jungkook couldn’t help but laugh when you told him. Jimin had figured out why you were slightly limping almost immediately and made a face of disgust. You grinned at him.

For the entire day, you were within arms length of Jungkook. He just couldn’t let go of you. Not that you minded… you couldn’t stop replaying what had happened that night in your head, and Jungkook’s hands all over your body didn’t help. At lunch, you were cuddled into his side, not caring who cared at this point. No one, not even Min Holly would even think about ratting you out.

“I have to pick my car up at the weekend, want to come with?” He asked. “Kookie we’re grounded. We can’t.” “We can and we are. Wear something pretty. I’ll take you some place nice.” “Look at you two!” Chae squealed. “Yeah. Look at them.” Jihyun rolled his eyes. “Just because I’m getting more than you.” Jungkook teased. “You won’t be getting any if you keep being mean to Hyunnie.” “Rude.” “Anyway, Jungkook, tell us about that dude you punched the shit out of. He had to go to hospital.” Tae suddenly spoke. “Well,” Jungkook sighed, “baby don’t get angry at me, this was in Busan. I’m a changed boy,” he said to you before turning back to the group, “that was Kim Seokjin. He used to be a friend of mine, but then we had a big argument. Our fathers work together, his father is my fathers boss. I was angry because his dad wanted to kick mine out of his job. I took it out on Jin, and we ended up being enemies pretty much. Anyway, his girl came to me one night, saying he’d broken up with her and I slept with her. But then they got back together and I stupidly continued to hook up with her. She caught feelings and as soon as I moved to here, she dumped him, telling him she loved me and confessed about the cheating. He came to get his revenge… I guess.”

The entire table was silent. No one could believe what Jungkook had just confessed to. Not even you. He looked around at all of your shocked faces nervously.

“Like I said, I’m a changed boy.” He muttered. “Well that Jin doesn’t seem to think so. If I were you, I’d keep [First] in my eyes at all times now.” Jimin pointed his plastic fork at you. “Like I don’t already.” Jungkook whispered, pulling you in for a quick, sweet kiss. “That’s disgusting do it in private.” Jihyun complained. “Trust me, we do a lot more than that.”

Jihyun began choking on the pasta he’d been eating.

“So… if e equals mx squared, and m is four and x is six, mx is… 24…?” Tae scratched his head. “That’s right TaeTae!” Chae smiled brightly at him. “And… 24 squared… is…” “Here.” Chae handed him a calculator “576!” “Yes!” Chae giggled, “obviously the numbers will be a lot smaller, but it’s a good way to learn.” “Thank you so much, Chae! Can I thank you in food?” “Sorry?” “Let’s go and get lunch, my treat.” “Okay.”

“Can we get food before we get the car?” “All you think about are your ten stomachs.” “Rude. Can we go get hamburgers? Please?” “Fine.”

Ten minutes later and you were in a burger shop called “Dr Burger” which Jungkook - someone who’d been living in your hometown for a mere 5 months - swore was amazing. You rolled your eyes as he began the process of building his burger. He ordered a double order for you to eat together. You turned, bumping into someone’s back.

“Tae?!” “Oh… h-hi…?” “Hi Chae!” You noticed the small figure standing behind an obviously flustered Taehyung. “Hi [First]!” “IHAVETOLEAVE!” You both watched as Tae practically sprinted out of the store. Chae sighed. “You really like him don’t you?” You placed a hand on her shoulder. “I do. I really do. But I’m not sure he likes me back.” “Chae, look at me,” she lifted her head, “he’s crazy for you. Trust me, I know when he’s crazy about someone… and he’s crazy for you. If you have to make the first move, that’s okay. It’ll make everything easier.” “Thanks [First].” “Well what are you waiting for? Go after him!”

She turned, grabbing her purse and throwing a twenty onto the table before fleeing after Tae. You turned back to Jungkook who was pondering on dessert. You scowled at him.

Finally, your food was in front of you as you sat at a table in the corner. Jungkook was looking at you devilishly, two burgers sitting in front of him.

“You’re a pig.” You rolled your eyes, picking up your burger and began to eat. “A pig that you’re dating.” “Don’t remind me.”

After you had both ate, you strolled through the city to the car place where Jungkook had taken his car. The walk was slow, it not being any later than 1pm when you arrived. There sitting at the front was Jungkook’s matte black BMW, not even looking like it had had any adjustments.

“What did you even do to it?” You asked. “Modified the engine and exhaust. My baby is gonna sound bomb. Nice dress by the way.” “You’re only noticing now?”

You were in a white sundress, two frilly straps holding it up. It was straight and flowing down your body to your ankles. There were also ridges where material had been stitched together, but it looked nice. To compliment the dress, you’d put on some nice, low wedges.

Leaning against the hood of his car, you watched as he strutted into the main office of the dealers, talking for a while. In the window you could see him sign for something before picking up the keys to his car and returning. He flashed you a grin. You continued watching as he walked around the car, opening the passenger door.

“M'lady.” “Why thank you, kind sir.” “Now that I have let you into my chariot, how about you let my chariot into you?” He smirked. “I take back the “kind sir” you asshat.“ “Rude.” “Says the one who just tried to get me to have sex with him in his car.”

You fastened your seatbelt, finishing up as Jungkook got in. The engine roared to life and Jungkook let out a whoop.

“That’s it, baby!” “Why don’t you just date the car.” You joked. “Because I can’t fuck the car” “Sure you can, it has an exhaust pipe doesn’t it?” “It won’t make the pretty little noises you do.” “Touché.”

With that, he pulled off, screaming in complete and utter joy as his car growled as the speed accelerated. Soon enough, you had no idea where you were, Jungkook speeding around what appeared to be a forest, winding roads and all.

He never slowed down unless coming to a red light or stop sign. He’d eventually come back to the highway and half an hour later, at just last 3pm, you were in some weird, nature reserve-y area.

“Jungkook where are we?” “Don’t ask questions. Unbuckle yourself.” “Alright…”

He hurriedly got out of the car, rushing to your side to open the door. The outside world seemed so far away, it was just you and Jungkook in this makeshift car park, surrounded by large evergreens. Jungkook took your hand, leading down a small, rocky path until it stopped at a medium sized willow tree that was on the edge of what seemed to be a lake. On either side, lining the water were larger rocks. Jungkook hopped over, sitting down on one of the larger rocks, taking off his shoes and socks before dunking his feet into the water.

“Come on, it’s actually pretty warm.”

The water sloshed against the rocks, creating a beautiful quiet harmony. You bent down, untying the ribbon to your shoes and stepping out of them. The small pebbles beneath your feet hurt, but you still walked over to Jungkook. He took your hand like any gentleman, helping you over so you could sit next to him. You looked out at the water, feet now fully submerged.

“How did you find out about this place? Even I didn’t know this was here.” “I do my research. Our first date had to be perfect.” “First date?” “Well, official date. I know we’ve already eaten, but I’ve got food in the back of the car. It’ll take an hour and a half to get home, the adults won’t be back until at least 8. We have towels. How about a dip?” “You’re crazy if you think I’m going in.” “Come on, [First]. It’s not like there’s alligators.” “You can go in.” “Alright then.”

He pushed himself backwards, allowing himself to get up and hopped over to rocks back to the path. He pulled the black t-shirt he was wearing over his head, flexing his abs as he did. Next were the navy shorts. He bit his lips, looking you dead in the eye as he slowly peeled them off his body, only clad in his black Calvin Klein’s now.

Bounding off, he raced forwards, pushing up at the last minute, jumping over your head and splashing into the water. Some droplets made their way to you, causing you to squeal. Jungkook surfaced, hair now flat against his forehead. He let out a scream of excitement. He swam back over to you, clutching onto your feet for support.

“The water’s warm, baby. Come in.” He smiled up at you. “Kookie~ I’m not coming in~” “This is our own little paradise, don’t be a spoil sport.” “What’s in it for me?” “Take a guess,” he began walking his fingers up your foot, your angle and your leg under your dress. “Stop trying to talk me into stuff with sex.” “Okay, if you come in, I’ll…” “You’ll tell Jimin you’re secretly in love with him and you’d rather date him than me.” “Are you joking?” “Nope.” “Fine.”

He watched as you pulled yourself up, slowly making your way back up the path a little bit. First, you let your hair fall from the half up half down style you had going on. You then ran the straps of your dress down your arms until they were off. Jungkook watched as you bent down, pulling the dress off slowly, in one go.

“That'a girl.”

Your eyes narrowed, not caring about being almost exposed in public. You darted forwards, jumping at just the right time and hugging your knees to your chest. For a split second, you felt like you were flying. Then you came crashing down into cold water. The world disappeared. Your arms came flying out and you surfaced.

“THAT’S MY GIRL!” Jungkook cheered, swimming over to you and wrapping an arm around your waist. “It’s fucking freezing!” “You’ll warm up if you move around.” “You sound like every dad at every swimming pool ever.” At those words, Jungkook moved closer, pressing his wet lips to your wet ear. “Aren’t I your daddy, though?” He whispered.

Your face flushed, hands coming down to slap his hard chest. Water splashed between you. Jungkook began to cackle and you scowled, swimming away from him by a few feet. Once he notices your distressed state, his amusement was only fuelled.

“[First], don’t tell me you have a daddy kink!” He laughed. “I… I do not!” “That’s fucking hot, I have to say.” “J-Jungkookie!” Your face deepened in colour. “Don’t worry, you can be as submissive as you want. I’m not complaining.” “You’re such a dickhead!”

You hurriedly dunked your body under the water, cutting off his mean laughs. You opened your eyes. This water was surprisingly blue and clear. You could see Jungkook’s legs moving before he also came under the water. His hair spread around his head and he smirked, swimming towards you. He placed his hands over your eyes, before kissing your lips. You smiled into the kiss, wrapping your arms around him. He hauled you both up, both of you gasping for air.

Once regaining your breaths, you stopped to stare at each other’s faces. To drink in each other’s features before Jungkook pulled you in, kissing you. Water ran between your lips, making the kiss a little clumsy, messy even, but you still sunk into it. Time stopped. It was just you and Jungkook. God knows how it had ended up like this. Whatever had happened was behind you, and now you were in a lake, most likely trespassing as you kissed him like it was your last kiss with him.

wow it’s been awhile since i’ve written one of these. i just realized that i totally didn’t write one last year. anyway i dont even know where to begin. 2016 has been an interesting year to say the least. i was rereading some of my old posts and i said omg a lot. the days just seem to go by in a blur nowadays, so i will try to recap 2016 as best as i can. i dont have a word to encompass this year though.

went to seattle in january. tried some really expensive sushi..twice..holy crap. the quality was a1 but man the bill was something else. seattle was nice though. definitely had a san francisco vibe to it, except for when you go to the waterside and look back at all the construction. i guess we kinda ran out of things to do bc on the last day we went to chinatown and the area seemed really dinky. also gained a ton of weight in seattle though u_u

in february we tried 5a5 steakhouse. and let me tell u. it is the best beef i have ever had. it is also the most money i have ever spent on a single meal. oh my god. i dont know if i'll ever be back, but i would like to, some day.

thus far, the semester was pretty okay. let's see..i had government accounting with a moody professor who would throw tantrums whenever no one participated. i also had business law with this old guy who was really lively and fun. i had strategic management with a bryan cranston look alike. the class was really interesting though and i learned a lot and it got me started on reading the economist lmao im so old. i miss having so much free time that came with school. 40 hour work weeks are not the life (even if i barely do anything at work).

went to LA during spring break. and at a good time too bc it was still the soft opening of harry potter world so the lines were v manageable. butterbeer was dope. the entire hogsmeade village just felt so real. had sooo much good food in LA omg. got to see some friends as well. had some of the best steak frites ever.

i cant believe i particpated in asu's talent show this year. much has changed in asu since i joined. it makes me wonder if i was behaving that way when i first joined. it seems a lot more clique-y and high school and drama filled but hey maybe it was that way when i was active but i just never noticed. had many fun lunches with my grand little but man there is a lot of drama in asu and im just glad i wasnt in any of it. i kinda miss the old asu days of staying out late to eat or do nothing at all but also i dont miss it bc i get enough sleep and im a lot more productive without asu lmao. finally ended things with tram for good. maybe things turned out the way they did for the better. the entire friendship was such a roller coaster. im glad its over.

the end of the semester rolled around!!! and i graduated!!!! :') attended my sisters graduation which was pretty boring bc high school students have such a narrow view of life (not to say that college students are any better). attended my own graduation. felt really fortunate to have jessa and anthony there. this one kid in my graudating class gave a speech about accomplishments...and he revealed the wrestling belt he was wearing underneath his graduation gown...and then he made the grads stand up and chant thank yous to the friends and family sitting behind us. it was so embarrassing and extra omg.

shortly after graduation i was on a plane headed back to the motherland. and let me tell u. i hated most of it. it was super hot and humid and my sister and i shared about 100 mosquito bites between the both of us. also. i know i shouldnt but..vietnam is so dirty. i know its not their fault that theyre a developing country but man there are exactly zero sanitation standards and i dont even know why we were there bc the water had recently been polluted so none of the fish were edible and my mom didnt trust the food stands to have clean food either. i guess i made some new friends and visited some cool places but at what cost??? also i think my entire fam got sick bc we slept with the ac on but either way, the meds i took made me lose my sense of smell i think and i couldnt taste or smell anything for two weeks. the ac air also dried out my nose and gave me a skin infection (which i will discuss later). during our trip to danang a small ferry got flipped on the big river and a bunch of ppl died and the government tried to cover it up bc bad publicity etc. they played it off as if only a few ppl died rather than most of the ppl on the boat. our tour guide in danang was in the know tho so he told us everything and w o w that really could've been us on that river bc it was a boat the left the dock about half an hour after our boat left. crazy.

after the long and arduous journey abroad i finally made it back home...and then headed to hawaii. hawaii was dope af. 10/10 would recommend, would go back. battled the tides when we went kayaking and sadly the tides won and i lost my hat but also almost lost my flip flops if it weren't for some kind random strangers who swam out to get my flip flops. we stayed on oahu and maui. hiked up a v steep mountain in oahu. lost my hat from kayaking. got caught in the rain when we went looking for a beach on the first day. had some of the best shaved ice ever. attended my first luau. fell asleep during the first part of a fire dancing show (bc the fire hadnt started yet). essentially pulled an all nighter to try oahu's famous bakery that opened at 3am. flew to maui but due to poor planning we arrived 4 hours earlier than check in lmao. the house we had in maui was so beautiful though omg. it was ocean side so we could hear the waves every night and it just felt so peaceful and tranquil to sit on the balcony in the mornings, just staring out at sea. in maui we went snorkeling. the last time i went snorkeling was like...10+ years ago...in cancun...and the water was freezing...and i also thought i was lost in the middle of the ocean on our way to the snorkeling location... but anyway! the snorkeling this time was so cool omg they had prescription swimming goggles so i could see EVERYTHING. they also provided lunch which was dope. it started raining on our way back to shore though lmao. the next day we drove all the way up the volcano in maui...to find that the top was foggy af and we couldnt see anything. the road up was pretty nasty bc super windy and 10000 ft elevation. it got really foggy after like 6000ft so we basically drove in all fog until the top which was still foggy but also like 20 degrees colder than the rest of maui. maui is super rural omg. we tried to find a place to eat after our trek but there were barely any food places in sight. we picked a random spot in the middle of nowhere and then decided to take the road to hana (which is on the opposite side of where we were staying, and was about 3 hrs away. and boy did we mess up. we took the alternate road there and it was scarier than going up the volcano bc 1) windy 2) small ass roads which were unpaved at certain points and 3) cliff hugging roads..i cant believe i made the drive there and back it was so terrifying omg. not sure if i would go back. at one point there was a big ass cow in the middle of the road. once we got to hana though, the hike was really nice despite the humidity. almost died crossing the river at the end to see the waterfall. all the rocks had big ants on them!!! how was i supposed to cross the river!!! we missed out on the wading pools though but we were so starving by that time. made the 3 hr drive back and everyone was dead. spent the last day on maui not doing much bc rainy and we were all so dead.

about two weeks after i got back from hawaii was training week in sac for my first big girl job. ngl but i felt super homesick that first night. idk why since i would be home by the end of the week anyway. probably just overwhelmed by how fast everything was happening. graduation and now transitioning into a full time job. scary stuff. but i did make a really good friend in sac so it didnt turn out so bad!!! training was pretty fun bc our presenter was pretty engaging. except when we went over the boring stuff and i was v close to falling asleep. did get to catch up with some of my sac friends though which was nice. went to the state fair for the first time as well. it was..exactly as expected but hotter lmao. my family went to san diego at this time bc my sister was going to comic con but i couldnt make it :(

got back from training and started my first big girl job. im not sure what i expected but it was easy but also hard? my first engagement i was only with one other senior and she was super nice and pretty and really good at lettering. i dont feel like i learned much? i only really did the tasks given to me but i feel like half the time i wasnt even sure what i was doing. i also hated the commute all the way back from walnut creek. the going there wasnt so bad bc i got a ride out to oakland but man it would take forever to get home. :'( my second engagement was just me and a partner and i feel like she expected me to know everything...but i didnt know anything...so i mostly sat around a lot??? esp bc she wasnt on site every day so i had zero supervision. :/ towards the end of the second engagement i got an email from the city saying that they were accepting me into their accounting position and i was like oh shit. i ended up taking the job, which gave me a week in between quitting the first job and starting the second, which i used to go back to LA lmao bc i had a season ticket to universal. actually ate at the three broomsticks this time. it was defs filling and i thought it was a good bang for buck. attempted to go to the walking dead tour..chickened out..twice. i probs would've died in there tbh. also went to disneyland!!!! that was lit. their macone-roni and cheese was da bomb. saw world of color for the first time except it was the 50th anniversary edition so it wasnt so great. bumped into the couple that was in jbieb's love yourself video. tried some new food places in LA and saw some old friends, again.

started my second big girl job. all my coworkers are super nice except the big boss is kind of crazy and anal. but we deal with it. my supervisor is so nice :'( work isnt so bad bc i dont do much lmao. the hardest part sometimes is just staying awake if im being honest. getting paid to do nothing is the life tho.

spent my birthday weekend in monterey. we were supposed to go atv-ing but ended up going wine tasting but also not really bc we liked the first wine so much we got a bottle of that to share. it was really cold that weekend surprisingly so we stayed in and then went to this spa place on a whim and it was definitely an interesting experience.

went as a rice bag for halloween and i think that was probably my greatest costume to date. except we ended up going to a party full of white ppl...and i was like the only asian there gdi

tagged along w my sister when she went to sd. got to see many friends!!! went clubbing as well and that was lit. took michelle clubbing for her 21st birthday, also lit. squadsgiving and christmas were super fun. got some supplies for bullet journaling so guess thatll be my new years resolution. but also to take more photos bc i didnt buy that camera for nothing.

okay so in conclusion. i did a lot of stuff this year. it feels like it was mostly all highs. or maybe i just block out the lows but im pretty sure there were way more highs than lows. 2016 was a great year tbh. oh yeah i also passed two of four parts of my cpa exam!!! woot. in 2016, i learned a lot...of accounting lmao. plus i ran my first 5k!!!!! oh yeah and i joined a gym and now im getting swole af. im not sure what my reflections are. i guess, if i were to compare 2k16 kim to 2k14 kim i've for sure come a long ways. i wasnt afraid to try new challenges and conquer them. i stepped out of my comfort zone multiple times, sometimes with the help of alcohol. i got my shit together and really focused in school (which got me a 4.0 during my last year of college). i also got my shit together and studied my ass off for the cpa (which is still ongoing i crey). i really wanna say this was probably one of my best years with everything i was able to do and everything i achieved. so here's to you, 2016, and may 2017 be even better!!!

holy shit i haven’t spilled any thoughts in so long! i’ve changed so much! and i’m happier now. it’s a new decade! i have so much to say

2019 was a great year as i actually did things that would have made me uncomfortable. spring semester of 2019 was a shitshow i think i dropped a class and only took three. dropped diff eq with the bald guy and i remember sitting in class no thoughts head empty and trying not to cry. and then going to some tables on campus and calling mom and bawling and apologizing. somehow i got through the semester after crying over tests and assignments. OH i started lifting weights and working out and i love it. i love being strong. being healthy is something i’ve always wanted to work towards and the women on weights program was so enjoyable. i was trying to get rly toned to look good for the nct concert actually. unfortunately i haven’t worked out much since it ended :( hoping to get back into the gym once the semester starts again. i wanna be RIPPED for summer 2020 >:)

working at sweet hut was a great experience as i was able to learn more about myself and add to my resume! i actually learn pretty fast and even though i messed up a handful of times i just want to give myself some credit hehe. i liked making new friends there, as well as bonding with my cousin more. before, i would be a bit afraid of the long silences, but now we talk about whatever and never shut up <3 working a customer service job made me appreciate the fact that i am still working towards a degree. i don’t think i could do that for an extended period. my feet hurt every day and my hands were so dry and getting blisters like crazy. ofc night shift is crazy but i loved getting tons of tips each night. We Live In A Society. i think i became more confident in small talk? idk being on the register made me better but i didn’t even do it much. i also value customer service and tipping much more i always try to tip when i can. anyway i miss making drinks and burning the sugar on the creme brule. 

after working i became more motivated to work hard in fall semester. for this semester i picked two classes to be on the other campus so i could see if i could actually talk to ppl. it wasn’t that much of a change but ppl are much more open to talking in the first week i guess. i’m gonna miss that. joining vsa was the best decision this year i think. it took some courage to talk to ppl first but working at SH helped me ton. because of that i made friends outside of class isn’t that wild? too bad it’s on the other campus bc i would go more often. i think my schedule might not work with vsa next semester idk :/ i went to my first College Party this year which was so much fun! i was nervous bc i only knew like three ppl but just mingle-ing is fun when ur buzzed. i think my tolerance is pretty high idk how many shots i took :| anyway hanging out with new friends i made makes me happy. definitely a highlight of this year! also school went better than before!!! my grades are not the best but i know i put in work so i think it’s okay. also i need to stop relying on chegg so much LMAO...commuting was harsh on me and took up SOOO much time. i only skipped class a couple times (mainly bc i was sick) so i’m proud. didn’t take classes on other campus this semester bc i’m lazy and would rather spend time studying in the library nearby. 

love life is sad still. chemistry is SO important. i think through text is just as important as irl. i went on a date with this guy that was a boring and unfunny texter and was like lemme give it a shot maybe its diff irl. it was alright but so....boring like no flirting like....    also he was younger and i hate younger guys...feeling like a hag... anyway this semester im hoping to go on a date with a girl instead. i thought i had a crush on oomf but it was like for a week. idk if it would ever happen but i rly like his personality and humor. 2020 pls let me have a lover im bored lemme emotionally depend on someone

stanning bts is getting so hard tbh. i can barely keep up with content from LAST YEAR. so much happens. i only go on ig like twice a day and i go to like ten ppl’s twt i dont even scroll down the tl bc it overwhelms me LOL. just looking at bts overwhelms me like i feel anxious sometimes? bc i’m missing out on stuff...idk how to explain it but i think the mama speech from 2018 made me...humble? less focused? on them? like i don’t wanna be so attached and when the day comes that they d*sband i lose my mind. bc i was so devastated that day. kinda made me chill out. being busy with school and work also made it hard to focus on them. guess i really am growing up..but also i became so obsessed with nct i love the nct daily channel LMAO feels like i’m cheating but their content is easy to digest and i don’t get so emotionally invested i guess. when i watch bts i sit there and FOCUS and give them my full attention. nct is for after hw and just to chill. do i make sense? but as i’m on break and watching bts performances and run episodes, i realize how much i missed watching them. i love them so much still and always will! sometimes it shocks me how huge they are. like you can’t compare them to anyone now. they are the highest achieving group i think. PERIODT fjlajajhka thinking back to when they were smaller and i told myself i would support them no matter what and i didn’t care if they didn’t get big like i genuinely loved them and now they are loved worldwide like....my babies.....<3 uwu...it’s crazy how much they’ve achieved in 6 years. i’m so happy for them.

also shinee’s whole discography is on spotify now! i was listening to it the other day and CRYING like a baby. i miss jjong so much especially his voice. i remember being 11/12 and spending hours watching the shows they were on i really miss stanning them. their music brings back so many feelings. ugh so good.

my mental health has been pretty good this year i didn’t cry much and the source of my stress and sadness is always school. fall semester was pretty good. i learned recently that i get jealous over ppl only a little though. it just passes by in thought but i don’t voice it to anyone bc it’s stupid LMAO. i don’t think the jealousy is that bad just minor.

2019 was a great year. i never really noticed the changes and growth i experienced but it was really apparent this year and i’m glad i am evolving :) my goal for this year is to get fit and be more comfortable in the gym, gain experience in my field through joining clubs, and be even more social (also be better at driving hehe) i’m very thankful for those around me and i hope to be closer to friends in 2020. looking forward to going to vn in the summer!
