I just have to say that I have never felt so justified in following you as today when you said that Rogue One is the best SW movie.

it just IS. i dont like. loathe the prequels with a burning passion but i definitely dont love them and i do love the original trilogy but it’s just like. there goes luke in his space car. the sequel trilogy is just a hot and terrible mess i recognize nothing after the force awakens which rivals rogue one for the best. solo is obviously nothing.

rogue one is just incredible......i do kinda wish they’d kept some aspects of jyn’s character from the original script like having her be a sergeant and like. actually part of the rebellion instead of just kind of allying with them for her own purposes and “it’s not a problem if you dont look up” but then we wouldnt have “We don’t all have the luxury of deciding when and where we want to care about something” and this post from @fandomshatepeopleofcolor made me kind of love what they did with that even tho they definitely didnt mean to lmao (also re: the original script iirc there were two women on the team and that wouldve been rad lfdj;lkfajfd au where sw movies are allowed to have more than one (1) main female character and maybe even a woman of color lead. radical)

and cassian is just genuinely one of my favorite characters when his show airs that is ALL yall will be hearing about. block me now. he’s so complex like i love that even tho he’s like the Grizzled Soldier who’s been through hell he’s also just. so goddamn earnest and hopeful? he’s not just fighting for the rebellion bc it’s all he’s ever known or bc that’s what’s convenient for him or whatever like he genuinely just believes in it with his whole soul and he’s willing to do anything necessary to make real the better world he knows is possible. like the reason hes willing to do the dirty shit he does is so no one else will have to he wants to make a world where a six year old boy doesnt have to join a war....i love him. id die for him. i swear to god they better not fuck him over in his show like they did poe in the last jedi. also re: the show i saw that missy from colette is gonna be in it and i know it wont happen but i just want her character to be space missy. butch lesbian artist in space

also on the one hand i know it like. makes sense that everyone died but on the other lucasfilms i wouldnt have asked questions if a ship miraculously appeared and rescued them all im ok with that. and im pissed that all of them dying means we’ll probably never get more content with bodhi baze and chirrut

@mycroftrh I started writing up how the rogue one team fits into the leverage roles and it kinda turned into a massive essay. So I will get there? Eventually but its probably going to take a while.... 

I listed skill/knowledge needed for each role and then a list of personality traits of each of the leverage characters and checked them off against each rouge one character and it mostly worked. But then that's followed by lengthy bits on how the rogue one ers would do things differently. I haven’t finished them yet and its kinda getting out of hand... 

I can say that definitely chirrut is the theif, baze (one of) the hitter(s), and bodhi is the hacker. The others dont fit quite as neatly and they all overlap a lot so some of it comes down to me being “there’s something I like about this idea” 

(also I didnt realise you asked about this over two weeks ago. Geese I am slow at acting on things sorry)
