Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 56 Final Episode

Are we ready for the end? No. We are not.

So Donghua used Xingguangjie to seal Miao Luo and she’s not really happy about it. No kidding. So oh well. Let’s die together she says. Chiwu regains consciousness. He believes in Donghua. Naive.

Fengjiu tells Chonglin that she wants to see Donghua one more time, but it’s most likely too late now. Oh wow, she really wants to go die with him. Since we don’t have a fate together, we must at least have enough to die together. What about Gungun? Chengyu asks Lian Song where’s Donghua. Seems like Lian Song can’t hide anything from Chengyu, so he tells her he’sm ost likely to be at the Fanyin valleay. If she’s fast enough she can see him once again. Once they get there, it’s only to notice  thant only Donghua can break down the barried for the Xingguangjie. Chiwu is like what’s wrong with you guys’ face? Once he’s done fighting, Donghua is just going to come out, no biggy. So he finally knows... Poor Chiwu... Then Fengjiu calls out Donghua’s name. He hears her. Not good, he needs to stay focused. Of course Miao Luo uses that moment and strikes. Fengjiu force her way inside the barrier thanks to the ring and Qingti... wth? Qingti takes out of a nowhere a rope and pulls her back, he doesn’t want her to die for nothing. She says she only wants to have a closer look. No. She completely forgot about her kid and is being suicidal. Qingti don’t let her go! This is so stressful.

Zhe Yan and Bai Zhen are in the peach blossom forest when petals starts falling down and Bai Zhen wonders if someone’s dying. Zheyan closes his eyes and opens them. Oh crap, this is bad. And he takes Bai Zhen with him to I don’t know where yet. Well, probably Fanyin Valley. Just right when Fengjiu escapes from Qingti. You did your best Qingti. I liked the human version of yourself better though. Fengjiu jumps inside the valley. She starts fighting Miao Luo to protect Donghua. But as she gets hurt by Miao Luo, she also not doing to thanks to the blood of the red nine tail fox. It dispersed her cultivation. Fengjiu while Donghua fights with Miao Luo put some of her blood on her sword before strikin. But she’s not strong enough to beat her, but she did a lot of damage anyways. Donghua says to go and hide, he will take her back home, but she’s like you’re lying to me again. She says don’t always push me away and covers Donghua’s sword with her blood. They both stab Miao Luo but it’s not enough to kill her. Oh. It works. She dies.

Outside they are all worried and Chiwu is like there’s so many of you, don’t tell me you don’t have a way and then Zhe Yan is like well there is a way. Don’t tell me he’s going to drop a bomb and take in Gungun. Leave that baby alone. Okay no, he says they can use all of their forces together, it’s just that it might make everything blow up. It’s a risk.

Donghua wonders how to send engjiu out. She says if it’s because she hurt him he also hurt her so they are quit. She wants to be with him, he also wants her to be with him. He says it’s true, he also wants to take her everywhere with him, he hoped she would come. He never wants to be away from her, but it’s not okay, she still has many years in front of her. She then says even if he doesn’t want to take her, she’s afraid she’s going to go first. Wow. She doesn’t even remember that she has a son to provide for. She says it hurts and asks him to comfort her, say that he loves her. This is crazy. Am I the only one thinking about the poor kid? She asks him to promise that when he dies he holds her hand. He promises. Is she dead? Oh, they are both dead. But Gungun then?

The others are still working on that barrier. Everyone has a hard time but Zhe Yan and like Lian Song. You see who are the bad ass ones in there.

Oh she’s not dead. Not yet. But he is. Well, he doesn’t open his eyes. Oh wait, he opens his eyes. She tells him not to clos eyes, to listen to her. He says to forget about him. Lol. She would never be able to do that. Well he’s dead now I guess? And her? Well at least she’s unconscious. Their blood then meets and the barrier breaks from inside. And we are back to Qingqiu with our gorgeous queen of the Biyi Bird tribe Jie Lv.

Ji Heng is making statues. Chiwu comes to get her. She hugs him. What? Now she loves Chiwu? Well, I am happy for hi, even though I wish he would have dated Jie Lü. I thought he would never get his happy ending with Ji Heng. Well what she says makes sense. It’s a little out of the blue, but oh well. Was she sculpting figurines of Chiwu earlier? What do you guys think? Chiwu is so cute, he’s so happy.

Lian Song is now playing chess with Qingti and he says Qingti looks more and more like Donghua. Well at least Qingti is smiling a little more. Then Chiwu comes. And Zhe Yan, Siming, Chengyu. And Finally Xia Guchou brins in Gungun. Everybody’s like who’s that kid and Guchou is like it’s obvious just by looking at him. Lian Song guesses that hacing white hair like that it must be Donghua’s son? Chiwu and Chengyu’s faces are priceless. Zhe Yan is like hehehe I knew. Gungun asks asks what’s Donghua. Is it a place? No more like your dad. Then he asks where is his mom? So he sends him in to see Fengjiu who’s sleeping because of her injuries and.... omg. Donghua? Is it true? Is he really feeding medicine to Fengjiu? How is he even alive? Gungun runs to his mom calling her and Donghua is like no you can come closer, who are you? And he drops the medicine when Gungun says he’s Fengjiu’s son. Gungun is like, why is it surprising that I am mother’s son? Uncle you are so handsome, who are you? Then Dongha is like... I am your father Gungun. And Fengjiu’s hand starts moving.

Omg. Donghua and Gungun laughing is so fake, it’s scary, looks like an horror movie. Maybe they didn’t have a good father and son chemistry. But it’s a nice ending, with all the family together.

And there it is. It’s the end. I wasn’t super thrilled about this drama and I definitely don’t feel empty now that it has ended, but I can’t say I didn’t look forward the ending. None of my ships got to have their fate, however I am still mostly happy about the ending. Except for all of my bias dying. I think it shows a beautiful moral about love and hardships as even though Fengjiu and Donghua weren’t fated to be together, they still fought for their love and in the end it worked out. I hope they learnt to talk to each other more so they won’t have anymore misunderstanding. And that Gungun will have a little sister to play with. I am going to miss the beautiful OST of this drama for sure. And human Qingti. And Xu Yang. And Jie Lü. Welll all of those that weren’t really important for the story.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 44

So Donghua is on a seducing mission kekekeke. Just kidding, but he’s definitely trying to please his Xiao Bai. Fengjiu asks him if he has anything urgent, she’s probably worried to see he’s already beack - but happy too. And the answer to that question is, yes, which is sending a gift to you. A flower crown which says: you are mine only. He’s really about the candy and even ate all of Moye’s share already. She takes him to play all around, since he had nobody to take him out when he was younger. But why is she treating him like a kid? I know she wants to make him experience all what he did when he WAS a kid, but still... For a powerful - and arrogant - immortal like that to be treated this way... Well, I guess he loves her very much to accept that. While shopping in town, Donghua notices that Miao Luo is lurking around in the dark. Such an annoying lady. Go away. Fengjiu feels bad for not having recognized him earlier and she’s happy that he cares for her like that, even though she really doesn’t understand what triggered the change in Donghua and in his attitude towards her. Love Fengjiu, that’s all about looooove! Hahaha.

Moye is tiring from keeping the furnace working all alone and has trouble to keep on making the magical tool all by himself because Donghua left him to go and spoil Fengjiu.

Fengjiu thanks Donghua for coming to see her. She wasn’t in a really good mood because she pities a lot Alanre. Then Donghua tells her not to feel too sad because she’s not Alanre and when they come out of the dream, he’s going to marry her. Wow. That guy isn’t wasting any time. You know her dad won’t want you as her husband right?  I can’t imagine Bai Yi being okay cool, you marry my daughter. Totally fine with my son-in-law old enough to be my great-grandfather. It’s not that easy. Donghua isn’t a nobody. Plus, first date properly and don’t treat her like she’s all yours when you made her so many times. Well it wasn’t all of Donghua’s fault since he didn’t know, but still. Then he kisses her and she asks him if she’s not dreaming and if he’s going to forget all of this when they get out of Alanre’s dream and he says he won’t, she doesn’t have to worry about anything. When guys say that, we girls have to worry. Sorry, not sorry.

Some there’s some sort of festival in which girls will through a magic fragrant pouch to the guy they think is cute and then they get a date. Seems to be a little steamy date. All the girls throws their pouch at Donghua and Fengjiu tries to get rid of them, but they are stuck by magic and she’s pouting very much about it. But Donghua consoles her by using his own magic to get rid of all of them. Just... Maio Luo comes out right then and sends him one and then he goes chasing after her, thus leading to Fengjiu thinking he’s flirting with someone else right in front of her. So she’s angry and sad, he just told her he wants to marry her and now he’s leaving her all alone to spend the night with another woman? Nonsense! So she goes back home without waiting for him. As soon as she gets back, Chacha comes to get her because Shen Ye got extremely drunk and is making a scene. Fengjiu stays alone with Shen Ye to deal with this.

He confronts her for not being Alanre. He cries really hard and Fengjiu doesn’t get what he’s talking about.

Donghua wins again against Miao Luo. This is getting boring. Can we skip all those little fights and get to the big final one already?

Fengjiu still takes care of Shenye and tells him that if he really liked Alanre he shouldn’t have been so cold to her and should have told her his feelings. He thought that this he could protect her. Then he’s about to touch her face and jelly territorial Donghua knocks him out. Fengjiu gets angry at Donghua and tells him that he got drunk because he noticed that she’s not Alanre. He doesn’t seem to care that much. She starts crying and says she’d rather stay in the dream than go back to her real life.

Shen Ye wakes up. This time is the last chance to get Alanre’s soul back to life so nothing can go wrong otherwise it all goes to waste

I would like to see a little bit more of the real Alanre. We don’t know anything about her. And even though it’s three world three lives, well it’s only Donghua that has more than one identity. I can’t sat he’s doing an awesome job on acting three different characters, but that’s mostly because the three roles are somewhat similar, but it’s still some extra work that Dilraba Dilmurat doesn’t have to put up with contrary to Gao Weiguang.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 35

Oh wait what???? I wasn’t ready for him to kiss her back!! He already finally knows what he feels for her? I thought we would have to wait much longer than that. Will the rest of the drama still be meaningful? Anyways, I am happy for her.

Well they stopped kissing because she forgot to breath and he teases her and she finally realizes that it’s not a dream. Well she doesn’t remember what happened in the Biyi bird clan, neither in the mortal realm. She thinks she left the palace only a few months ago. Donghua tells her they are in Alanre’s dream. Wow. He says it’s Chiwu that sent them in there. The guy knows how to get rid of love rivals. As if Chiwu would ever do that to Fangjiu. He analyzes the situation, even though he gave her his blood, she still needs more time. They could leave the dream but he would rather stay in a state where she doesn’t hate him so he won’t take her out before it’s time and her body has healed. Then he tells her that they are already married which in my opinion is cruel. How sad will she feel when she wakes up. He tells her he doesn’t like Ji Heng.

Am I the only one who shivers when he blows on her hands because they are cold? I don’t know why, but it makes me feel uncomfortable...

Anyways, he kisses her again and makes her sleep once more. Snow White vibes much. He hides her in a cristal coffin, knowing that her soul is out somewhere to recuperate. Then he dumps the coffin in the water, there’s some kind of lake, so it’s well hidden and nobody would find it. Then they starting falling somewhere unknown.

Fengjiu wakes up without any memories: she doesn’t even know who she is, but at least she knows she’s not Alanre’s, though she  took her body.

Wow, I asked for the demon king and the demon king they give to me. Chiwu asks him to go to the fanyin valley to save Donghua so Ji Heng can finally be at peace since she won’t leave the valley until she knows Donghua is fin. The guys want to attack the Nine Heavens while Donghua isn’t there to watch. Shiwu is like... what the hell? I’ telling you save people, not attack! Xu Yang is depressed and reminds them he promised Minsu to get Ji Heng free. Of course, Nie Chuyin hurries to report to Miao Luo.

Fengjiu adapts herself pretty well to her new life, she has her own tricks to know more about Alanre.

Wow. Gao Weiguang’s wig... So ugly. I can’t get used to him having dark hair, really.

So basically, Alanre was a little baby princess left in the middle of the snake pit and was raised by the four big snakes. Only Shen Ye took care of her until he had to leave to isolate himself 20 years of time in a grotto for cultivation reasons. But when he comes out, Alanre isn’t there waiting for him anymore.

The episode ends on Alanre getting married to Shen Ye’s master.

I am not sure I understand everything, like... How come there are two dark haired Donghua in the dream? This is so confusing. I guess it’s going to be more clear in the next episodes?  Well I hope so.

Eternal Love of Dream - Episode 16

So the King gives a lot of gifts to Xiaojiu but she doesn’t seem to be very happy about them. And she indeed isn’t really happy and asks him to take them back because it makes her feel uncomfortable. Being appointed as a wife is already more than enough. So he was giving her all of this to make up for having her sent to jail when she was innocent and he’s worried that she resents him. But of course, she doesn’t. So he asks her what does she want then. So she holds his hand and starts a phrase, but she can’t seem to remember. It’s something Ye Hua says to Bai Qian and makes happy. She tries to says it again, but she really can’t remember, but Xuanren completes it for her. So basically, it’s a wish to grow old together.

While doing his round with the other soldiers, Qingti comes across Fengjiu’s palace and she asks to have a talk with him. He agrees. He also had something to tell her, but before he can even say anything, she gives him a whole bunch of ointment. He was about to give back to her the ointment she gave him previously. Poor Qingti. If he finishes it, just ask for some more so she doesn’t have to see him injured anymore. My heart aches so much for him TT

Next thing you know, Xuanren wants to take her somewhere, but when they are about to leave, the eunuch comes in because Chuwan is sick. It seems like Xuanren doesn’t really want to go see her, but Fengjiu convinces him to go and have a look, they can go out some other time, somebody’s life is more important. He agrees, but she has to go with him. He called the imperial doctor, but when he takes her pulse, he can’t really understand why it is so weird, he never saw something like this before. Fengjiu says it’s normal that her pulse would be weird since she’s from the demon clan. Chuwan also knows that, well she knows she’s not exactly normal and asks to be able to rest for two days before they invite doctors to look at her.

Oh wow. He takes her to the secret hiding of the jade. Then he kind of pats underneath her jaw and her fox side kind of gets awaken. She’s like “how nice Diju” and then realizes what she just said. And did probably, because it’s extremely weird. He touches the jade and starts shining. His said that it’s because it’s a sign he should protect it. Then he tells Fengjiu to touch it too and see if it will shine too. And it does and he’s so excited. He wants her to help to enhance the traps in the hidden palace, so it’s better guarded.

Xuanren hurts himself and Fengjiu gets angry because he wasn’t paying attention hence got injured. She fortunately had ointment on her and she treats his wound. Then realized she didn’t follow the rules again and she asks for punishment. But then he’s like I liked how you were treating me, I am sure my dad and mom were like this together too. And they finally kiss. It was kind of about time. However, she shouldn’t let him kiss her. She has to break his heart... Anyways. She then remembers what Siming said, that Xuanren isn’t Donghua and she stops kissing him to go back working on the plans.

A few days later? Xuanren goes to Fengjiu’s palace to enjoy the full moon and he plays guqin for her. So she dances for him. Then... I am not sure, is it a dream or did it happen? They did sleep together? I hope not. So it was a dream, she never came to his palace. Good. Yep, he drank too much and Qingti took him back to his own palace. It’s sure they are going to use Qingti to break those two apart but... it’s going to kill the poor guy... He won’t even have a little love from Xiaojiu.

He calls Qingti and asks if he ever said anything weird when he was sleepy, but he was passed out because of alcohol. Then he says he actually called Qingti so he could taste his baked sweet potatoes. Qingti is like what the hell. Xuanren asks him how does it taste and he’s like... erm... well it tastes like baked sweet potato? But Xuanren is like, no but compared to the baked potatoes you had before, is it better. Poor Qingti, he doesn’t know, he doesn’t eat that. So he’s like, but is it better than the ones you baked? And Qingti is thinking omg he’s going crazy, I never baked sweet potatoes. Xuanren is just so happy about that. He says lately he just loves eating baked potatoes and is doing research in how to make it even better. Qngti probably thinks his king has gone mad and apologizes for not being able to help.

Xuanren made a cake for Xiaojiu and calls it Baihe. The name comes from 百年好合(bǎi nián hǎo hé) which is a wish Chinese people make for a couple to live happily ever after, basically. He made them like this so the meaning behind it is even better than the Wuyou gao. He really wants to surpass that man in Fengjiu’s past.
