Turns out Old Moon and Solar's Sun "Swift" have a lot in common.

Both are back from the dead. Both feel responsible for the devastation and destruction they left behind. Both are a little lost, trying to forge places in a family that went on without them. Both fiercely love their brothers. Both mourn a life that's long behind them.

As it transpires, they also both love numbers and mathematics, and bond over chess and sudoku.

Unexpected besties.

Because I agonised for an hour or more this morning on how i would get groceries before 'allowing' myself to order them to be delivered:

You don't have to push yourself to your absolute limit constantly as a disabled person to prove you are worthy of care and support and recovery/improvement/symptom management. (I know this is a broad spectrum that varies for each person).

Abled people do strictly unnecessary things to make their lives easier all the time. You're allowed to do that too.

The image we get of Drakes before things went south is not great. Tim is neglected emotionally as they barely call or send a card, and when they do, it's two lines. They may delay their return, which means Tim never knows when he will see his parents. This kid has no idea when he will be able to talk to his parents. There's no structure foe that kid to develop well emotionally. And that's without adding how his parents cannot stop fighting lately, because it seems the way they do it is by refusing to communicate and using someone as a proxy, and who do you think does the job at home? Bingo, it's Tim.

Anyway, let's talk about Tim's new family. They have given the WAYNE MANOR's adress to his school for his mails. Bruce is shown to take interest in Tim's life: he asks about the mails and he asks if his parents are still in Zanzibar, showing that he has listened to Tim before this talking about his parents. Finally, he comforts him when Tim is upset at his parents leaving him in the dark. (The "they have important jobs" could be read as Bruce being like "It's not you, it's their jobs", because a kid would 100% believe their parents aren't home because they hate them)

The biggest difference here between the two is clear: Tim never knows when he will see or be able to talk to his parents again, however he can talk to Bruce and be listened to about anything, not just the job. Bruce is filling the role his parents should be filling, but they don't.

seeing divergence through the lens of it being a love story to matt (and exandria itself) really has solidified it for me. the fact that even in a party with two gods, mortality is treated as the most holy of things.

even beyond godhood -- and i truly can't stop thinking about bahamut and the all hammer doing the dirty work, the manual work, the tiring job of walking the world and experiencing the horrors of the calamity first hand in their mortal lives, and then having to carry that knowledge. when bahamut said that the gods knew the fights of the calamity were wrong because they would cause immense pain he meant both the primes and the betrayers. and it's so meaningful that the gods of justice, and righteousness, and creation were the ones who came with the idea of the gate. a last resource to protect that which is most worthy: mortals.

I wanna see Mike with the party more because honestly that's the biggest crush behavior ever. Like I'm going back through season 2 and when he's with the party and Will isn't there, he only talks about Will. "Will was quiet today" "Is Will ok?" "Where is Will?" "Will's absent and he's not picking up". The entire party loves him and is worried about him but I love seeing normal worry and then Mike who when Will is in even potential *future* danger says nothing but that boy's name. The reason Lucas and Dustin had time for a romance plot and he didn't (he did) was because it didn't matter who she was or what she was doing, or anything for that matter except that he simply did not have time or care for any non-Will side plot. So much so that he became self aware that he was in the non-Will side plot halfway through and remedied that shit IMMEDIATELY.

Give me more Mike vs how normal people react to things happening to Will that aren't even that bad yet.
