The td fandom can be so freaking weird because every now and then I’ll be talking about racism in the fandom in regards to Courtney specifically and I’ll get comments like ‘well is Courtney a poc? They never said she was’… the girl is literally colored brown. She has brown skin. Would you say the same thing about leshawna or Dj I’m so confused??? Ik the writers are ridiculous some times and they don’t know the difference between race and ethnicity themselves but characters like courtney and Noah and Justin are very clearly poc. If you see me walking down the street and I don’t disclose my race and ethnicity, do you think that prevents people from seeing me as a brown skinned woman? Is it that easy? Is everyone just automatically white to you no matter what they actually look like just because you don’t know if they’re latinx or south Asian or something? That’s not how it works
