BIIIIIGGGG lore dump
Just wanna flex, so here's a bunch of random things about my Degrees of Seperation, or as I call them, social jumps.
Disclaimer: these "jumps" can be anything ranging from a conversation/ acknowledgement to an actual friendship.
I'm two social jumps away from Acappella Group Pentatonix, Twitch Streamer Tubbo, Rapper Dan Bull, Broadway actor Reeve Carney, actor Gaten Matarazzo, and Mariah freaking Carey.
And one jump away from the playwright Don Zolidis, Twitch Streamer Eret, and CG5. Also from numerous tumblr artists and TCFSV author Bonesandthebees but that isn't very impressive.
Now that I think about it, I'm two to three jumps away from like... every modern MCYT. That's freaking cool.

I just ordered the book The Seven Torments of Amy and Craig (a Love Story) by Don Zolidis, because the summary screamed Ziva and Tony.
FUN FACT: The German title is called Dies ist keine Liebesgeschichte (This is not a Love Story) - which I think is an interesting “coincidence”.

Book Review: THE SEVEN TORMENTS OF AMY AND CRAIG by Don Zolidis
“Janesville, Wisconsin (cold in the sense that there is no God)...”
Tumblr media
In 1994, self-proclaimed D&D nerd Craig achieves a remarkable accomplishment. He starts a relationship with Amy, his high school’s beautiful resident over-achiever. But the story doesn’t end there-- over the course of their senior year, Amy and Craig go through a series of break-ups and make-ups as they figure out who they want to be and where they want to go with graduation looming.
The Seven Torments of Amy and Craig is told in a non-linear timeline, and offers a hysterical and poignant exploration of the highs and lows of first love and senior year. Zolidis’s playwriting background ensures that his debut novel is full of compelling dialogue and vivid characters, with drama unfolding in a tantalizing but authentic way. This story is seriously funny, and serious but funny, all at once. A triumphant coming-of-age tale.

In the wake of her parents' divorce, Sydney is uprooted, moving into a dingy apartment with her mom in a new school district. Her new school is like another planet, with its over-privileged student body, teachers who go by their first names, and the social ladder topped by the nationally ranked speech team. After falling in with a group of fellow misfits, Sydney helps craft a plan to knock the cool kids down a peg: she will infiltrate the speech team and ensure they don't win nationals this year. But the line between faking it with her new crew and truly feeling like one of them gets blurred after Sydney falls for the rock star of the team. And the fraught history between her speech coach and her father divides her loyalties. As nationals loom closer, Sydney has to decide once and for all whose side she's on..

Janesville, Wisconsin (cold in the sense that there is no God) 1994 "You're going to find somebody so much better than me." "What? No, I'm not! Look at me! Are you insane?" The worst thing that's ever happened to Craig is also the best: Amy. Craig and Amy should never have gotten together-Craig is a Dungeons and Dragons master with no life skills and Amy is the beautiful, fiercely intelligent student body president of their high school. Yet somehow they did until Amy dumped him. Then got back together with him. Seven times to be exact. Over the course of their senior year, Amy and Craig's exhilarating, tumultuous relationship is a kaleidoscope of joy and pain as an uncertain future-and adult responsibility-looms on the horizon. Craig fights for his dream of escaping Janesville and finding his place at a quirky college, while Amy's quest to uncover her true self sometimes involves being Craig's girlfriend and sometimes doesn't. Seven breakups. Seven makeups. Seven of the highest lows and lowest highs. Told non-sequentially, acclaimed playwright Don Zolidis's debut novel is a brutally funny, bittersweet taste of the utterly unique and utterly universal experience of first love.

Badger
By Don Zolidis
Female, Dramatic
Topics: WWII
ROSE: You know what I think about? When I'm working? I wonder if there's a girl in Germany doing the exact same thing as me. I'm sure there is, actually. There's some munitions factory somewhere in the Third Reich, and all the women are pumping out powder as fast as they can. Both of us, on opposite sides of the world, providing the weapons so our husbands can kill each other. Think about that. So much work goes into the war. For what? What are we making? What if we just stopped? What if all the women said, "We're not going to do this anymore?" And we walked off the job? All the factories go dark. "You'll have to find some other way to kill each other."
