Our first stop on our second tour was a winery created by the most well know female winemaker in Argentina Susana Balbo of Dominio Del Plata. Our guide Juan was incredibly enthusiastic and gave a great tour of their facilities. Our tasting was also unique as we had a lot of discussion about pairings with food and how a pairing really comes down to personal taste. We paired wines with greens, cream cheese, dulce de leche, and potato chips. Their estate was beautiful and lush, almost like an oasis in the middle of the dessert. None of the trees you see are naturally grown, everything tall has been planted and irrigated. You might recognize their basic line "Crios" by the label with the hand. We've seen this back in the US.
