𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞: barbie movies as troupe plays part 1 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: sfw
𝐚𝐧: if you think i won’t do all 36 barbie movies, you’re wrong. regardless of whether people want this or not. i have barbie brainrot 24/7. i’m just separating it into parts so it’s not too long *this isn’t meant to be that serious y’all my reasons vary from legit to just jokes
𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥: i won’t go in-depth with any plot differences from movie to play, or how the characters would work out... for now *chuckles in future ppt*
𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟏: nutcracker, rapunzel, swan lake, princess and the pauper, fairytopia series, magic of pegasus, barbie diaries, island princess, three musketeers 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟐: coming soon 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟑: coming soon
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞: mixed troupe! spring x autumn. one of the seasonal events/scouts for A3! has a nutcracker theme, and to avoid spoilers that’s all i will say :3
𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭: since this is based on barbie’s take on the nutcracker, changing up the cast from what tsuzuru had in plan:
clara/sugarplum fairy: sakuya. i want to see him go through a costume & hair transformation sequence, not gonna lie.
nutcracker/prince eric: juza. obviously he has to be the ruler of the land of sweets.
mouse king: sakyo or chikage. i want one of them to wave around a sceptre and say quotes like “i’ll reduce the Nutcracker to a pile of splinters"
pimm: taichi... pimm is a spy :O who has to do dirty work :O but the real reason is i just want taichi to follow around sakyo again or maybe even chikage this time lol
major mint & captain candy: tsuzuru and citron respectively. mint is pretty serious and awkward, candy is a lot friendlier- i just think it’ll be a good way to insert some humor in the play
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞: mixed troupe! summer x autumn.
𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭: rapunzel in this one actually is the “servant” of gothel. also, rapunzel has a magical paint brush and also there’s dragons. who are purple.
rapunzel: kazunari. obviously. actually, kazu has a lot of similarities with her: a good artist, patient, adventurous, quick thinking, hardly ever complains- also he’d look good with long hair i think ><
gothel: omi. there is an action fighto scene + also just the theme of omi playing villains lol... also THERE’S A SCENE WHERE GOTHEL PRETENDS TO BE RAPUNZEL BY WEARING A LONG WIG AND BOI- KAZU AND OMI’S BODY BUILDS ARE SO DIFFERENT BUT IT’D BE FUNNY IF THE PRINCE FALLS FOR THE TRAP ANYWAY
penelope: kumon. a PURPLE funny and clumsy dragon- fight me, the only answer is kumon especially once you see who’s next.
hugo: juza. a PURPLE dragon who’s penelope’s dad but he’s gonna be the older bro in this one (i wonder why...)
hobie: a passive and worrisome rabbit... Tenma.
prince stefan: he also has a couple fight scenes... ngl bc stefan has blue eyes, light brown hair + described by the wiki as “fierce”, he’s banri.
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞: winter troupe. i will stand by this forever.
𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭: this is like one of the ones i’ve had figured out for a while already...
odette & odile: tsumugi. i’m just saying, tsumugi’s duality- he can do both the white and black swan because he has power. impact.
prince daniel: not tasuku bc spare him the prince roles he’s sick of it. guy. why guy? because he obviously has a good idea of how to act like a prince :3
rothbart: HOMARE! I WANT! THIS MAN! TO PLAY THE ANTOGONIST! GO OFF ABOUT DARK ARTS! TRANSFORM EVERYONE TO ANIMALS LIKE THE EXTRA BEING YOU ARE.
fairy queen: azuma. ugh just- imagining how ethereal he’d look.
erasmus: tasuku. he’s a troll that can act mean, but is genuinely kind and helpful... also, the VA of erasumus is also the VA for “unnamed burly villager” and i’m just saying-
kelly the cygnet: hisoka. there’s too many animal children, so hisoka is gonna be the baby swan. uwu. also, kelly has a quote, “I can't sleep.” and wOW THE IRONY
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞: WE’RE GOING FOR THE COMEDIC ROUTE WHAT’S UP SUMMER. reason: i went “wait... no actor really looks super alike though.”
𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭: tafahfuoahoaf it’s my favourite barbie movie... OKAY SO THE RUNNING GAG OF THIS IS THAT THE PRINCESS & PAUPER DON’T LOOK ALIKE, BUT EVERYONE KEEPS GOING “Wow! you two look so identical!” no they don’t
anneliese: muku. first of all please look at the sprite i used in the header. anneliese = pink = muku. she’s the sweet princess archetype... but in this version she also goes on tangents about rocks and mineraLS AND HOW THE MINING INDUSTRY SUX AND THE ABSOLUTE AUDACITY OF-
erika: kumon. first of all, the sprite in the header again. erika = blue like ugh this is perfect. ALSO erika has a cat who BARKS and i just imagine kumon talking to her cat like: WOOF WOOF WOOF GRRR GRRR and the dog responding and everyone in the palace going wtf
king dominick: i had such a crush on him anyway he’s tenma. rich, young, talented king who disguises himself as a page so he can find love for realsies. im just saying. he won’t be tenma’s only role tho ><
julian: kazunari. the wiki went “he’s the only bestfriend a barbie MC ever married” really shook me like ugh friendship dynamic between muku and kazu roles??? also kazu’s genuinely smart so him as the tutor was just gucci in my eyes
preminger: misumi. FIRST OF ALL PREMINGER IS ICONIC? WHEN HE SANG HOW CAN I REFUSE I WAS LIKE UGH KING. i just wanna hear misumi play an antagonist that’s also funny and do things with his voice.
madame carp: yuki. a bossy and rich woman who owns a dress emporium. pretty much it.
nick & nack: YUKI AND TENMA. THEY WILL DOUBLE ROLE FOR THE SAKE OF BEING MISUMI’S DUMB UNDERLING DUO
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞: spring troupe. i wanna see them have wings uwu.
𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭: just gonna combine the whole fairytopia series into one
elina: itaru. first of all, pink motif. also i just like the idea of itaru being this recurring protagonist.
bibble the puffball played by kamekichi
laverna: recurring villain citron. for no reason other than i think it’s cool when he plays power hungry villains
enchantress: i just want sakuya to play a role that’s more of a “powerful character” but still really kind uwu. another recurring good guy.
azura & glee: tsuzuru. elina is azura’s apprentice, and glee is a friend who’s generally really happy... ngl, i wanna see tsuzuru play someone more energetic for funsies
nori: masumi. nori is kind of a stubborn and jealous person at first, him and elina won’t get along right away BUT DAMMIT THE ENEMIES? TO FRIENDS IS GUCCI!!!
merman prince nalu & linden: chikage... yeah i just gave chikage the guy roles ngl... but i wanna see chikage as a handsome merman AND handsome fairy so *shrugs*
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞: cross troupe. spring x winter.
𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭: partially based on the ice-skating cards (i have yet to read the event story, unfortunately).
annika: tsuzuru. i thought it’d be fun to cast tsuzuru as a more sheltered character due to annika’s parents’ protectiveness. the contrast y’all.
shiver: sakuya. shiver is a polar bear cub sidekick who’s friendly and likes shiny things and that’s just... really cute... put bear ears on sakuya...
brietta: guy. brietta is annika’s older sister... who got transformed into a pegasus by the villain... i wonder how they’d change the pegasus thing lol
wenlock: tasuku. NOT GONNA LIE- i want tasuku to play the villain for all these wonderful one-liners: "Oh, smile! You didn't lose a daughter; you've gained a pet!", and "I thank my lucky stars I didn't marry you!"
prince aidan: masumi bc i want more roomie interaction on stage i mean their friendship keeps getting cuter and cuter.
cloud queen: azuma... that’s all. i just remembered her bc her hair has a braided crown, and i went “azuma braided hair brainrot”
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞: mixed troupe! summer x autumn.
𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭: i was gonna make it full autumn, but then the age casting felt awkward since they’re in high school...
barbie: taichi. barbie here is shy but wants to stop blending in the background! i just went “damn that do be resonating”. also i wanna hear taichi sing more y’all and barbie is a singer/guitarist here
courtney: azami. i like the idea of azami playing a spunky character who’s more of a tomboy, but still does like fashion and accessorising and... lip gloss?
tia: misumi? tenma? idk the intelligent and passionate archetype is very broad... especially in a high school setting
kevin: kazunari. just the whole best friend thing + kevin being a goofy person who loves to make ppl laugh ugh
racquelle: yuki. i know racquelle’s a bully here and say not to bullying... but sharp tongue.
todd: honestly? todd was so boring in the moving. we need someone like banri to give him CHARACTER!... yes that’s my reasoning ugh
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞: sUMMER SUMMER SUMMER-
𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭: AHAHAHA WHAT IS THIS CASTING? MY REASONINGS FOR THIS ONE IN PARTICULAR ARE SO SHALLOW LMAO
ro/rosella: “a 16 year old girl who can talk to animals! adventurous and brave” me: *gasps* mISUMI-
prince antonio: “prince antonio loves travelling and exploring-” okay yeah it’s kazu...
queen ariana: i just want yuki to sing to me “love is for peasants which we’re obviously not” and i’d go :O also ngl... i wanna see yuki in like darker palettes and plotting to poison all the royals
princess luciana: queen ariana’s daughter... played by muku. because i wanna hear muku counter yuki with “all the shoujo mangas books i’ve read, all the poems always said, that the heart is made to share...”
sagi the red panda & azul the peacock: honestly, just basing it off of colour matching but tenma is sagi and kumon is azul lol
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞: AUTUMN x SPRING
𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭: AHAHAHA WHAT IS THIS CASTING? pt 2
corrine: i keep wanting to put sakuya in these roles oops. i just... let him sword fight on stage again :>
viveca: purple musketeer, artistic, designs clothes... fights with ribbons... you know, for the sake of banri being a fAshIoNisTa... it has to be banri y’all "Don't mess with the animal print dress!"
aramina: green musketeer, fights with fans, romantic and loves ballet... pfft, for the sake of “wouldn’t it be funny-” it has to be azami. poor bby, having to swoon over romance on stage- he can’t relate
renee: chikage. purely because of that scene where she threw a feather duster (?) at a flying shard of glass and perfectly hit it. yeah.
helene: the old and strict instructor that teaches them how to be musketeers... sakyo.. duh.
philippe: the main antagonist... it has to be omi again. and since philippe has a goatee, we’re bringing back facial hair omi~
prince louis: itaru, lol. he’s like the one significant non-action oriented character in the film. he has just enough moments where itaru still looks princely, but mostly? he just wants humans to fly y’all.
want to order again?

Juvenile Delinquents Part 5
Logan x MC
Previous Part: Part 4
Word Count: 3,800
LA rarely gets thunder and lightning. Logan watches the bright flashes through the thin curtains of his new studio apartment, blinking sleepily. It’s 3 AM, but he can’t sleep. He’s had trouble sleeping lately. Ever since he found out about Ellie’s pregnancy.
The pregnancy has changed both their lives in many ways. Ellie’s dad kicked her out of the house when she told him. That was the final straw for Detective Wheeler. Kaneko had told Logan she couldn’t stay in the loft with him, insisting the garage was no place for a pregnant woman, or a child.
That’s when Logan realized Kaneko didn’t care about him. That he had simply been using him, and was done with him now. Logan is still in the crew, for now. But he’s not going to be in a gang forever. He wants to prove to Ellie that he’s father material, now that they find themselves in this situation.
Looking back, he definitely should have been the one taking care of birth control. It’s not like Ellie was exhibiting responsible behavior, so why would he think she was capable of taking her birth control regularly and properly? But he can’t go back and change it. And truthfully, he probably wouldn’t change it even if he could.
He rests his hand on her baby bump. She just started showing a few weeks ago. The physical proof made the pregnancy more real to him, and it’s led to many fights between them. Ellie’s due in July, and her plan is to place their baby for adoption and then go off to college like nothing happened. Logan, on the other hand, wants to get married, wants to raise their baby together. There’s no happy middle ground.
Ellie stirs a little when the thunder rumbles loudly, but she doesn’t wake. She burrows deeper into his shoulder, letting out a happy little sigh as his fingers run through her hair. He presses a light kiss to her forehead, and pulls her closer. “I love you.” He whispers to her, and their baby. And finally, he manages to drift off to sleep.
...
.
“My dad wants to meet you. Officially.” Ellie tells him over breakfast in the Spring. She’s 5 months pregnant now, and she’s too big to hide her pregnancy under a baggy sweatshirt when she goes to Mar Vista Prep. He suspects the bullying she faces as an unwed pregnant teen at the snooty high school is worse than she lets on, but she doesn’t open up to him about it.
Logan quirks a brow. “You guys are talking again?”
Ellie swallows the cereal in her mouth before replying. “He sent me a text message. Asked what we plan to do with the baby. He thinks adoption is a great idea.”
Logan’s hand clenches on the spoon. This again. “Not all kids get adopted. Some get stuck in the foster care system.”
“Older kids get stuck in foster care. Not babies. They’re in high demand. I’ve been looking into some profiles from prospective parents.” Ellie continues.
“Why are you looking into prospective parents when our kid has a biological parent willing to raise them? Go to college if that’s what you want. I’ll raise the baby. I’m not going to abandon our kid.” Logan insists.
Ellie lets out a frustrated sigh, rubbing her temples. “We’ve been over this.”
“Yeah, and we’ve never come to an agreement.” Logan fires back.
“I want to give this child the best start. A family with resources who will make sure he or she is well cared for.” They don’t know the gender. Ellie doesn’t want to find out, she doesn’t want to do anything that makes the baby feel more real. She doesn’t want to think about potential names, or decorating a nursery. She just wants to put this whole thing behind them.
“How could the best start not be being with their father who loves them?!” Logan argues, raising his voice now.
Ellie stands from the table, her chair scraping behind her as she moves so quickly. “I’m not having this fight with you again. I’m placing the baby for adoption. Maybe my dad can make you realize this is the right decision when we go over there for lunch.”
Logan’s eyes narrow as she storms off to the couch. “Unlikely.” He mutters under his breath.
...
Detective Wheeler can barely look at either of them. When he looks at Ellie, the disappointment in his eyes is almost palpable. When he looks at Logan, his eyes express his desire to strangle the teenager for knocking up his precious baby girl. Logan even noticed him reach toward his gun when he first opened the door, before Detective Wheeler was able to mentally talk himself down and invite the expectant pair inside.
“So, what can you tell me about the prospective parents?” Detective Wheeler asks once they’ve eaten. He made Ellie’s favorite, but since she’s been pregnant a lot of her favorite foods have repulsed her. She ended up just eating some bread.
“Well, me and Logan haven’t agreed on the best parents yet.” Ellie replies.
“I don’t agree this baby should be adopted at all.” Logan interjects, and both Ellie and Detective Wheeler glare at him.
“You can’t possibly think you two are in any position to raise a child. With no education? With no real jobs? Do you know how expensive it is to raise a child?” Detective Wheeler counters.
“I don’t care how expensive it is. I’ll get the money.” Logan insists.
Detective Wheeler scoffs. “What, from being in a gang? What happens when you get locked up? I’m not raising this baby for you, and Ellie is going to school, getting her life back on track.”
Logan clenches his jaw, trying to keep himself from saying anything disrespectful to his child’s only grandparent.
“Logan hasn’t gotten on board yet, but he will.” Ellie insists to her father, cutting Logan a look that tells him she thinks he has no choice. “Besides, I think it’s partly because he’s refused to look through the prospective parents’ information with me. So I actually thought that was something we could all do today.” Ellie adds.
“I don’t want to.” Logan immediately replies.
“That’s too bad. You helped make this baby, and now you need to be part of the adoption process.” Detective Wheeler insists.
“I have rights. I want my kid.” Logan fires back.
“You’re not married. If Ellie doesn’t put you on the birth certificate, you have no rights.” Detective Wheeler argues, very smugly in Logan’s opinion.
“Then I’ll get a DNA test to establish paternity. And I’ll go through the courts if I have to.” Logan retorts.
Detective Wheeler laughs this time. “Yeah, good luck with that. I’m sure a reasonable judge would turn the kid over to you, a juvenile delinquent in a gang with no family support, over whatever loving family Ellie chooses to give your child a good life.”
Logan glares, hating when people underestimate and look down on him. “Fuck you.” He spits out.
“Logan, just stop!” Ellie yells, getting between the two men so their confrontation will cease.
“I don’t have to listen to this or be here.” Logan decides, standing from the kitchen table.
Detective Wheeler pulls his gun, cocking it and aiming at Logan. “Like hell you’re leaving.”
“Daddy, stop!” Ellie cries, moving to stand in front of Logan. Logan gently pushes her away, staring Detective Wheeler and his gun down.
“Sit your ass on the couch. We’re all going to look at prospective parents.” Detective Wheeler orders. Logan glares for several tense moments, before reluctantly complying.
Detective Wheeler sits in his arm chair, gun still pointed at Logan. He gestures to his laptop on the coffee table. “Go ahead sweetie. Why don’t you cast the materials to the TV?” Detective Wheeler says to Ellie, his sweet tone quite a contrast to the way he’s got a gun pointed at her boyfriend.
Knowing this is likely the only way she’ll ever get Logan to look at the prospective parents, and she does want his input because it’s his baby too, Ellie pulls up the families she’s interested in.
“Okay.” Ellie clears her throat, she’s nervous. “First, I really like Chet and Frank. They’ve been married for 3 years. Chet is a lawyer. And Frank is a doctor. This would be their first baby. They almost adopted a baby before, but the birth mother changed her mind after giving birth.” Ellie flips through photos of the loving couple. They look happy, and their house looks nice. One of the pictures shows the two men playing tennis. They’re obviously rich. “I think they’re my favorite.” Ellie admits.
She flips to the next couple. “This is Dominick and Tanya. They’ve been married for ten years. They have a daughter who’s 9, and since then they’ve been trying to have another baby, but they haven’t been able to get pregnant.” Ellie explains. This couple looks nice too. Many of the pictures include their daughter, and she seems happy and well adjusted.
“And then the third person I’m seriously considering is Raya. She’s single, but she really wants a baby and she can’t biologically have children. She’s a elementary school teacher, which shows she’s good with kids.” Ellie gives the last spiel. Raya looks nice too. She looks sad in a lot of her pictures though. Logan wonders if a baby will actually make her happy, or if she just thinks it will.
Detective Wheeler nods. “What are your thoughts Logan?”
“Does it matter? Doesn’t seem like you guys really care what I think.” Logan retorts moodily.
Ellie sighs, turning to him and taking his hand. “Logan, please. I do care. I love you. This baby was conceived with love, but we can’t raise a baby. I know you think you can, but you’re not going to be able to give this baby the life one of these couples will provide. Even if I didn’t go to college, and we got married, it still wouldn’t be the life they deserve. Don’t you wish your mother had placed you for adoption instead of foster care? Don’t you think adopted parents would have been a better situation for you? We can’t be selfish. Please, please support me in this.” Ellie begs.
Logan sighs, raising his hand to wipe a tear from her face. “Please don’t cry.” He pleads, resting his forehead against her’s.
Detective Wheeler finally lowers his gun. “I feel like you guys need to discuss this between just yourselves back home. But my vote? Dominick and Tanya.” Detective Wheeler reveals.
...
Logan hesitates before ringing the doorbell. Ellie hip bumps him. “Are you nervous?” She asks.
“A little.” Logan admits.
Ellie grips his t-shirt, pulling him down into a sweet kiss. “Don’t be. I’m sure Chet and Frank are a lot more nervous to meet us.” She insists. “Oh! The baby just kicked. I think they like the energy here.” Ellie announces.
Logan places a hand to her belly, feeling their child give another kick. He drops to his knees, pressing a kiss to her belly. “I’m only entertaining the idea of this for you.” He murmurs softly against her skin.
Ellie runs a hand through his hair. “This is the right thing Logan. You’ll see.” Ellie insists. She waits for him to get back to his feet. “Ready?” He nods, so she rings the doorbell.
Moments later, Chet and Frank open the door, arms wrapped around each other. “Hi! It’s so nice to meet you guys in person!” Chet greets, hugging them both. “And ooh look at your belly? Do you mind if we touch?” He asks.
Ellie laughs, stepping forward. “Have at it.” She offers.
Chet and Frank both place their hands. Frank lets out a gasp. “I felt a kick!” Tears well in his eyes, and he and Chet exchange a quick kiss.
“I think the baby likes you.” Ellie insists, gripping Logan’s hand since he looks a little uncomfortable. This is harder than he thought it would be. Logan still wants his baby. But Ellie begged him to join her for her Skype meeting with the couple, and then for an in person meeting a month later a their home in Santa Monica.
“Well, come in, come in!” Chet exclaims, ushering them into the beautiful home.
“Wow, this is really nice.” Ellie notes.
“Do you want to see the nursery? We set it up...you know...before.” Frank finishes sadly. Logan can see how much it must have hurt the couple to have the birth mother change her mind at the last possible moment.
“We’d love to.” Ellie answers, squeezing Logan’s hand again. He’s been wanting to get some basic baby stuff for the studio, just in case. Ellie refuses to even entertain that.
Ellie gasps at the nursery, a cheery room painted candy apple green. “This is so cute! Look at that giant teddy bear! It’s a room fit for a little prince or princess!” Ellie wanders the room, touching random things.
Logan looks around too. The walls are painted with the alphabet, and numbers, and there are countless children’s books around. They’re clearly well prepared for a baby, they clearly really wanted the child they set this nursery up for.
They tour the entire house before setting up in the living room. Chet and Frank hold hands while sitting in two side by side armchairs, while Logan wraps an arm around Ellie on the couch.
“Do you guys have any questions for us? Any concerns you would need addressed before feeling comfortable deciding on us to be the parents of your birth child?” Chet asks.
“I have a concern.” Logan admits. “Kids can be mean. How would you handle it if someone bullies the kid because you guys are gay?” Logan asks.
“That’s a fair question. Kids can be cruel.” Frank acknowledges. “I guess the way I see it, kids will find a reason to bully you, no matter what. But I think the important thing is how the child is taught to respond to bullies. I would want the child to educate the bully. Maybe they don’t understand anything different than the family that’s a mother, and a father, and 2.5 kids. But the world is becoming more accepting. Twenty years ago, you’d never see a gay couple on TV. So, I feel like that gives the child some reference point to give the bullies. It’s not so....weird anymore...for lack of a better word. I don’t know, I feel like I’m rambling. Does that answer your question?” Frank concludes.
Logan offers a reassuring smile. “It does. Thanks.”
The couples spend another hour talking, Ellie and Logan getting out all their questions, Frank and Chet patiently answering each one.
“Logan, Ellie let us know that you’ve been resistant to this whole adoption process. And we get it. Nobody wants to give up their child. But....after today....do you think you could at least consider us as parents?” Chet asks.
“You know, coming in here, I thought I was going to leave here just as resistant as I came in. But honestly, I think you guys would be amazing parents. So I’m definitely more open to it than I was before.” Logan answers.
Ellie smiles at him, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
After exchanging goodbyes and a car ride home spent largely in contemplative silence, Ellie rounds on Logan as soon as they get back to their studio apartment. “So? What do you honestly think?” Ellie asks.
“I love you Ellie.” He rests a hand on her very pregnant belly. “And I love this baby. And I want the best for both of you. I....I think you’re right. Chet and Frank can give this baby the kind of life that I was super envious of when I was a kid. I mean, they have a pool! That they’d promised us they’d fence off as soon as the kid is walking.”
Ellie laughs, resting her head on his chest. “They’re very prepared.”
“They are. So...I’m ready to commit to the adoption.” Logan concludes.
Ellie turns her head to look up at him, tears in her eyes. “Really Logan? You don’t think you’ll change your mind once you see the baby?”
He leans down to press a lingering kiss to her lips, tangling his fingers in her hair. “I know it’s going to be hard, especially after holding our baby, but I want what’s best for them. And that’s not us right now.”
“Thank you. I love you so much.” Ellie breathes out, relief evident in her tone.
“I love you more troublemaker.”
....
“AAHHH! Ellie screams, sweat pouring down her face as she struggles through labor. She collapses back against Logan’s chest, crying. “I can’t. I can’t.” She’s been at this for hours.
“You can mama. You’re so close.” The doctor insists from between Ellie’s legs.
Logan wipes her forehead with a cloth, kissing the back of her ear. “You’re doing amazing Ellie.” He praises.
“This hurts so much. And after all this we’re not even going home with a baby. It’s like I’m going through all this pain for nothing.” Ellie complains.
“It’s not for nothing. You’re bringing our child into the world. You have to keep pushing.” Logan comforts.
Ellie squeezes his hand as she pushes again, letting out another scream.
2 long hours later, Ellie brings their daughter into the world. The baby has a good set of lungs on her, letting out a loud cry as the nurse whisks her away to be cleaned up.
Logan turns Ellie’s head so he can place a lingering kiss on her lips, pulling away a moment later to kiss her forehead. “You were incredible trouble.” He compliments.
She smiles weakly at him, looking completely exhausted from her long labor. She perks up when they bring the baby back in.
“Do you want to hold her?” The nurse asks. With adoptions, sometimes the birth parents don’t want to hold the baby, but Ellie nods eagerly, so the baby girl is placed in her arms.
Ellie lets out a sob. “She’s so beautiful. Look at that full head of hair!” The baby opens her blurry eyes, looking like she’s trying to focus on her mother.
Logan raises a finger to stroke his daughter’s soft cheek. “She looks just like you.” Logan insists.
“She has your eyes.” Ellie replies. She turns towards him. “Do you want to hold her?”
Logan nods, unable to find the words. Ellie carefully passes their daughter over. The baby blinks at him, and tears well in Logan’s eyes. “Hi. You are so loved.” He says softly, pressing a kiss to the baby’s forehead.
Tears are falling steadily down Ellie’s face too. “This is going to be so hard. I love her more than I’ve ever loved anything, and Chet and Frank are still in the waiting room.” Ellie informs him.
Logan sighs, cradling his daughter. “She deserves the life they can give her, and you’re leaving for Langston in a month. You’ve been dreaming about Langston forever Ellie. You worked so hard for this.” He reminds her, even though he really wants to lean in to her indecision and convince her to let them keep their baby. But he knows although that would make him happy, Ellie and his daughter would be giving up a lot for his happiness. Plus, Chet and Frank don’t deserve to have the rug ripped out from underneath them, again. “Let’s get them in here, so they can meet their daughter.” Logan manages to force himself to say.
Chet and Frank cry when they hold the baby, their love for her really coming through. It makes Logan feel better about their decision, knowing how much their daughter is going to be loved, but leaving that hospital without his daughter is the hardest thing he’s ever had to do.
Ellie is sobbing as he wheels her out to his car. And once he gets her home, she stays in bed for a week, in a state of what is most likely postpartum depression.
Logan is patient as Ellie deals with her grief, while shoving down his own. Ellie needs him right now.
Eventually, Ellie starts to come out of it. She starts looking into what classes she wants to take at Langston. And eventually, she buys train tickets to get out to the East Coast. She thinks the long train ride across the country will be a good time to reflect on the past year.
...
Logan parks his car in the parking lot of the Amtrak station. He sighs, not feeling at all ready for this. Ellie reaches over to squeeze his hand. “It’s going to be okay. I’ll be back home for Christmas, and we can Skype all the time.” She insists.
He interlaces their fingers, staring down at their joined hands. “I want to believe that, but there’s going to be a time difference. And you’re going to be busy with school. And I might be leaving LA once I leave Kaneko’s crew, so who knows if I’ll be here for Christmas.”
“Then I’ll go where you are. I love you Logan. Distance isn’t going to change that.”
He wants to believe that so badly. But long distance is hard. And who’s to say she’s not going to meet some trust fund baby with a bright future at Langston? The kind of guy with a bright future, and no criminal record. Who’s to say she’s not going to want to move on from a guy that will always remind her of the child she had to give up, because he wasn’t in a position to take care of them?
He doesn’t say any of that though. He’ll just let her pretend everything is going to be fine if that’s what she needs to get on that train and follow her dreams.
“I love you too.” Logan replies, leaning forward to kiss her. After a few moments, he forces himself to pull away. “I’ll wait with you until your train gets here.” Logan offers, moving to get her luggage from the trunk.
She grips his hand as they walk over, and she takes a seat in his lap when he sits down on a bench on the platform.
They don’t talk much as they wait, both lost in their own thoughts. They do exchange several heated kisses though, both clearly wanting to communicate the depths of their feelings.
Ellie starts crying when the train pulls up. Logan wipes away her tears before engulfing her in a hug. “I love you.” He vows again before letting her go.
“I love you too. See you at Christmas, wherever you are.” Ellie promises.
She turns and waves before she gets on the train, and once everyone has boarded it pulls out of the station.
Logan stays rooted to the platform several minutes after she’s left. He’s knocked out of his stunned state by a text message.
Kaneko: Where are you? I need your help down at the Pavilion.
Logan replies. ‘on my way’, pocketing his phone and making his way out to his car.
A/N: The End! Thanks to the anon that pushed me to finish this up.

Sabrina poked around at the pancakes in front of her, her brow furrowed deeply as her stomach flipped again. She took a deep breath through her mouth to keep the smell of the coffee surrounding her away. Never had she ever thought there would come a day she didn’t like the smell of coffee. Maybe Jax was right... maybe I did come back with some weird virus... she sighed deeply pushing the pancake around her plate.
“Sab,” Megan’s voice cut through her thoughts, forcing her to pull her eyes up to her friend’s gaze. “The pancake didn’t do anything to you, Love.”
“Megan,” she sighed deeply, rolling her eyes. “You know how much I hate when you call me ‘Love’.”
“I know,” Megan grinned, eating a mouthful of her own heaping plate of pancakes. “That’s why I say it. Now, will you please tell me what’s wrong?”
“Nothing is wrong,” she assured her friend, forcing a smile on her face. Megan’s eyes narrowed at her friend.
“Right and I’m the Queen of England,” her bright blue eyes rolled at the woman across the table.
“Your Majesty,” Sabrina bowed laughing. “Honestly, nothing’s wrong. I just haven’t felt like myself.”
“Not like yourself?” Megan reached across the table and squeezed Sabrina’s hand. “Like what, Love?”
“Megan,” she groaned as Megan held up her hand in apology.
“Besides,” Megan’s eyes softened at the blond across the table. “You’re probably just stressed. I mean traveling by itself is hard... but Jesus, Sab, you moved across the world... twice!”
“You’re probably right,” she smiled, placing her napkin on top of the half-eaten plate of food. “And in saying that... it’s time to go home for a nap.”
“There’s no chance you could be pregnant, right?” Megan studied her friend closely as her brow furrowed in concentration.
“No,” Sabrina waved off any concern her friend had. “There is zero possibility that I could be pregnant.”
“Okay...” Megan held up her hands in defense as the blond threw a handful of bills on the table. “Then you should have no issues taking a test...”
“You’re joking,” Sabrina laughed as her friend’s face stayed completely passive. “Ugh... fine... I’ll take a damned pregnancy test. Just to prove you wrong. I guess we’ll stop at Walgreens?”
“God no!” Megan laughed, pulling her phone out of her purse. “That’s what Josh is for.”
—
Leo continued to walk down the street lined with people, shaking hands and having small conversations with his people was his favourite part of the job.
“So, Prince Leo,” an elderly woman smiled brightly as he shook her hand. “Have you chosen your bride?”
“Honestly?” Leo glanced around him before grinning conspiringly at her. “I couldn’t even begin to pick. Maybe you should tell me who?”
“That blond girl...” she nodded absolutely.
“Countess Madeleine?” His smirk remained on his lips but his brain started turning. Could she be the one after everything that happened?
“No, no, no...” the woman waved him off. “The other blond girl. The one with the dog.”
“Sabrina?” The woman nodded wordlessly as Leo chuckled softly. “I’m sorry ma’am, Sabrina was here for Liam, not me. She wasn’t even part of the social season.”
The woman batted the thought out of the air.
“I saw how you looked at her through my television,” she scolded him gently. “We could all see how she looked at you too.”
“Even still,” he shook his head gently at the old woman. “She’s gone home now, back to America.”
The woman gave his arm a soft pat as he began to move to the next person, a knowing look on her face.
—
“Are you sure we should be pushing back the end of the social season for this, Constantine?” Regina questioned as she followed her husband into the room his sons were waiting in.
“Of course I’m sure,” Constantine waved his wife’s concerns off like an annoying fly. “I can’t be everywhere while we’re in New York and Leo has truly started to show some promise in our meetings. It’s time to let him prove he’s ready.”
Liam leaned against couch one leg crossed over the other while Leo continued to study the file in his lap, barely paying attention to what was going on in the rest of the room.
“Leo can handle this on his own, Father,” Liam’s voice cutting through Leo’s concentration, his head raising to watch his father’s reaction.
“You will both attend New York,” Constantine’s voice held no room for compromise from either of his sons.
“What are you expecting from us in New York, Father?” Leo tilted his head towards the older man.
“I will be attending the UN meetings,” Constantine pointed between his two sons. “While you two idiots will be meeting with our business associates.”
Leo’s eyes lit at the thought of running into Sabrina again.
“And neither of you are to have any contact with Sabrina Pierson,” Constantine met each one of his sons’ eyes as he started towards the door. “Do I make myself clear?”
“Crystal...” Leo mumbled staring into his hands.
“Of course, Father,” Liam nodded stoically as the older man left the room to sort their travel arrangements.

Subject: Need to see you
Brina,
It turns out we’re heading to New York.
My father will be tied up in meetings, meaning Liam and I are being paraded around from fancy dinner to fancy dinner.
Listen, we really need to sit down and talk. It’s not something I can just put into an email.
Please write me back. We’ll be in town next week.
-Leo

“Damien’s getting itchy, Boss,” Padraig sat across the heavy oak desk, flipping through a small leather-bound notebook. The book seemingly smaller than it actually was, dwarfed in the large man’s hands. “He needs to be brought in. Two girls quit last week, we’re getting lucky they ain’t pressing charges.”
The red-hot end of a cigarette glowed in the dimly lit room as cold blue eyes stared at the email on the screen in front of them, half listening to the man across the desk.
“Boss?” Padraig pushed again, he’d noticed over the past several weeks that his boss had become more and more distracted as of late. This always meant one of two things.
One – something was up with the girl… And usually, someone was going to pay for it. Poor sucker. Padraig thought.
Two – someone was encroaching on the business territory. This one was less likely as Padraig was usually the bearer of this news to the boss. Sometimes it paid to be the right hand of the man on the top of the pyramid.
Those cold blue eyes moved from the computer screen to meet Padraig’s seafoam green ones.
“What?” He turned his full attention to the man in front of him. “Damien…”
“Right, Damien’s becoming a problem, Boss,” Padraig nodded. “I’ve given him a shakeup, but they don’t seem to be working.”
“Bring him in, Padraig,” his eyes hardened to a pair of blue stones as they narrowed at the man across from him. “I will personally handle this.”
“You got it, Boss,” Padraig nodded.
“How is the rest of our associates?” His thick fingers steeped below his mouth as he leaned back in his deep leather chair, studying his most loyal soldier.
“Everyone’s fallen in line,” Padraig nodded easily towards him. “Dominick’s been surprisingly cooperative.”
“Good… good.” He nodded, his gaze flickering back to the computer, causing Padraig to raise an eyebrow.
“How's things going with Sabrina being home?” The man’s voice was soft, causing the cold blue eyes to harden once again as his attention turned back to him.
“Ná bíodh imní ort faoi mo iníon, Padraig[1].” His voice was low and menacing as the man across the desk held his hands up in apologies.
“Gan aon chion[2], Boss,” Padraig wheeled back quickly. He nodded stiffly before turning back to the computer.
“Fág[3],” he waved at the large man across the desk from him as he re-read the email on the screen.
Not even two minutes after Padraig had left his office a loud knock came to his door.
“Cuir isteach[4],” he called out as Josh poked his head into the office.
“Uhh… Boss,” the young man tentatively called into the room. “We’ve got a bit of a problem…”
The cold blue eyes quickly moved towards the young man in the doorway.
“What kind of problem, Joshua?” He demanded as the young man shuffled nervously.
“Well, Boss…” Josh sighed, not really wanting to tell the older man what the issue was. “It’s about Sabrina…”

I’m sorry if I missed you in the tagging... Please let me know and I’ll add you to the list :)
Her apartment building was old, but well maintained, he noticed as he followed her up the narrow staircase.
“How long have you been here?” His voice was soft, but curious, as they stood in front of her door.
“Oh… I don’t know… 5 years, give or take…” A shadow crossed her face as she pushed the door open. “So, I need to warn you…”
The words were barely out of her mouth as a shape with the density of a brick wall barrelled into him, knocking him into the wall behind them.
“Killer!” Sabrina’s voice filled the empty corridor as the shape stopped moving. Liam’s eyes moved to the shape in front of him, a large Staffordshire Terrier stood in front of him. Her fierce eyes focused directly on him, as a low growl echoed through her throat. “He’s a friend, dumbass.”
The dog’s eyes flit briefly back at the petite blond standing in the doorway before turning her attention to Liam. His lips curled up into a smile as the dog launched herself at him, this time, trying to lick every inch of his face. Sabrina leaned against the doorway for a minute before calling the dog back one more time.
“C’mon, girl… inside.” She nodded to the apartment as the beast trotted in happily.
“Killer?” Liam questioned with a quirked eyebrow.
“It keeps the creeps away.” She shrugged, motioning for him to head in. “Plus she’d live up to her name if I asked her too.”
“Somehow, I don’t doubt that,” his grin grew as he stepped into her large apartment.
The apartment was large, taking up the entire fifth floor of the walk up, and brightly coloured. A bright green wall from the living room transitioned into the kitchen, modern by any standards and accented with a glass tiled backsplash.
“Welcome to my humble abode,” she spun quickly around the room before crossing over to the fridge. “It’s a little early for a beer… but after meeting my beast I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted one…”
“Thank you, but I think I can survive until breakfast,” he chuckled softly.
“Well… Make yourself at home,” She motioned to the overstuffed couch in the living room. “I shouldn’t be too long. And Killer will keep you company. Won’t you, baby?”
The dog in question wagged her non-existent tail as Sabrina scratched her sides roughly.
“Be a good girl for Liam, ok?” Killer nudged at her owner before she disappeared down the hall.
Liam wandered around the large living room, taking note of the photos that Sabrina had out on her fireplace mantel. A beautiful young woman with the same ice blue eyes Sabrina had, but with raven black hair, stared out of the first frame. The next showed the same raven-haired woman with a round-faced child. This must be her mother, his mind concluded as his index finger traced the round cheek of the young girl in the frame.
Picture to picture he noticed two things… One - the photos of the raven-haired woman stopped when the small child in the photos reached the start of adolescence. Two - there was only one photo of the man who was more than likely Sabrina’s father.
While she got her eyes and her nose from her mother, perfectly straight with a tiny button on the end. Her smile and her coloring were her father’s.
Liam settled on the overstuffed couch in the living room, his mind racing with thoughts as to why only one photo of a father figure presented itself on her mantel. Even in that, the photo was of the three of them, laughing together at something off camera. They looked so happy together. A tight-knit family unit. He couldn’t remember a single time his family had a photo like that. Especially since his stepmother had come into the picture.
Regina had made a great wife for his father and an excellent queen for Cordonia, but Liam would never call her a warm mother figure to him or his brother.
His mind continued to drift as Killer curled around his feet, her face resting gently on her paws. Remembering what little memories he had of his mother. Her long blond locks blowing behind her as she chased him through the orchards at Applewood.
Running water pulled him out of his memory. Sabrina was just on the other side of the wall. Her lithe body naked under the stream of water. He shifted uncomfortably on the couch at the thought of her perfectly round breasts soaking under the steady stream. His throat cleared as he heard the water stop pouring, his only thoughts drifting to his hands on her damp skin taking the place of what he assumed was a fluffy towel. The dog raised her head to glare at him for destroying her comfortable resting place at his feet.
“You two look awfully comfy,” the smile in her voice caught his attention well before her words were understood in his head. The dog’s head raised to look at her owner before resting back on her paws with a huff. “Really, Killer? Are you abandoning me so soon?”
He swiftly rose to his feet, startling the dog from her position and earning a snort of derision as she crossed the room to the waiting dog bed. The woman before him had transformed. Gone was the tired, stressed out, sarcastic waitress from the night before; or the sweat covered girl in an oversized hoodie coming home from the gym. Before him, stood an angel in a strapless red sundress, her blond hair pulled into a low ponytail over her shoulder. She paused briefly, sliding a leather jacket onto her bare arms.
“Alright… Let’s go, Blue Eyes,” her eyes flashed with laughter as he continued to stand routed in place. “I was promised pancakes! And I know just the place.”
Pulling himself out of his own head, his thoughts imagining what the pretty red dress would look like pooled on her bedroom floor, he moved towards her apartment door.
“And if I told you I had made reservations for us?” He held his arm out for her to take.
“My city… My pancakes.” Her ice blue eyes crinkled with laughter as she pulled him out of the apartment and down the stairs.
--
Olio e Piu was busier than she expected as they stepped through the door together.
Her eyes widened, stepping away from Liam as a man in a white chef’s jacket enveloped her in a tight embrace.
“Dominick!” She cried wrapping her small arms around his neck. “I figured you wouldn’t be here today!”
“I had a feeling, my favourite customer would be coming in,” Dominick grinned, squeezing her an extra inch tighter. “How’s your pops doing?”
Her shrug was half-hearted as she stepped back from him.
“I could tell you tomorrow, I’m seeing him this afternoon.” She grimaced. Her hand slid into Liam’s large warm one, almost as if she was showing the chef in front of them who she was with. “Dom, this is Liam. I’m showing him around all my favourite places.”
“And you figured you needed your Frittella Alla Banana?” Dominick leaned in conspiratorially to whisper at Liam. “Don’t let her fool you. Order something small. Half of those pancakes are yours.”
“Don’t give away all my secrets,” she grinned, swatting playfully at his arm. “A girl needs an air of mystery.”
“You’re nothing but a mystery, Sabrina,” Dominick chuckled. “C’mon, I’ll show you to your table.”
He brought the couple through the restaurant to a tiny two top tucked in the back corner. Liam took note that the vantage point from the back chair would provide the person seated there a view of the entire floor. Sabrina nodded towards the chair, offering it up to him as she sat with her back to the room.
“You’re very trusting,” Liam commented as he accepted the other chair. She shrugged a shoulder easily, not touching her menu.
“There’s always someone watching my back around here,” his eyes narrowed suspiciously, sweeping his gaze around the room. Not seeing anything out of place he glanced down at his menu as a waiter approached their table.
“Can I start you two off with beverages this morning?” The tall lanky young man asked them.
“Double espresso, please,” Sabrina grinned up at him. Liam could see the effect she was having on the poor kid, not unlike the effect she had on him.
“Just a coffee for me,” Liam nodded. “Cream and sugar as well, please.”
The young man quickly scribbled a note on the pad of paper in his hands before running back into the kitchen.
“So, Liam... Prince of Cordonia... What’s Cordonia like?” Her cheek rested gently on her fist as she watched him. He could feel the interest in his background pour off of her. It was a nice feeling, one he hadn’t felt in a long time... if ever.
“Cordonia?” He cleared his throat gently as the waiter dropped their drinks off.
“Are we ready?” His voice a little stronger this time. Sabrina turned her face on her rest to smile a 100-watt smile. Poor kid didn’t have a hope.
“Fritella Alla Banana for me... extra bananas,” she winked before turning her gaze back to Liam across the table.
“I’ll try the Asparagi,” Liam smiled up at the waiter before passing both menus to him. The young man nodded, scribbled more notes and ran back to the kitchen. “You wanted to know more about Cordonia?”
Her blue eyes widened excited, her entire attention focused directly on the man in front of her.
“Well… It’s a small island off of the cost of Greece in the Ionian Sea.” Her eyes rolled into the back of her head at his words.
“Well… That’s great, Liam. Now I can find it on a map.” Her full lips curled into a soft smile as she leaned into the table towards him. “I want to know about Cordonia… What does it look like? What kind of people live there? What does it smell like...?”
The passion in her eyes cracked like lightning as her questions flew at him rapidly. What does Cordonia smell like? Is this woman insane?
“I’ve never seen a sunset more beautiful than the sunsets overlooking the harbour. The people are the most loyal you could ever find. They’ve been with us through 3 queens, difficult times in the economy, droughts, and floods, and yet still they support our family. And your last question...” he paused, his fingers steepled under his lush lower lip. The only thought in her mind was how soft it felt against her own... on her lips, her jaw... down her neck... she shuddered as his intense dark blue eyes fell back to her, trapping her in her place. “Apples...”
His voice was soft as he spoke. She could almost see his home as he spoke so reverently about it.
“Apples?” She whispered, leaning even closer to him, inches separating them.
“Apples and the ocean,” his smile played softly with the corner of his mouth. “That’s what Cordonia smells like. It’s the best smell in the world.”
“I’d love to see your Cordonia, Liam,” she settled back in her chair as the waiter dropped their orders off in front of them before scampering off again.
“You would always be welcome, Sabrina,” their eyes met over their full plates, his fingers finding hers on the table top. “As long as I’m there, you have a place.”
Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink, his thumb gently tracing over her knuckles. Neither of them looked up as a looming figure approached their table.
“Cé hé an fear seo, Sabrina[1]?” A rough voice broke through the couple’s small world. Liam noticed her blue eyes turn hard as the ice they reminded him of as she turned towards the figure standing in front of them.
“Cuir é amach as do cheann, Padraig[2],” She seethed. “Téigh ar ais chuig m'athair. Díreach dul amach[3].”
Liam’s eyes moved from Sabrina to the stocky man. The man looked like he could easily beat him in a feat of strength. Liam’s eyes moved to the door and the small table housing his own guard casually “reading” a newspaper, his sharp gaze on the situation unfolding.
“Níl mé anseo ar do shon, cailín. Táim anseo chun Dominick a fheiceáil[4],” the stocky man bit the words out in the strange language. “Ach tá a fhios agat caithfidh mé a rá le do athair cad a chonaic mé.[5]”
“Fine,” she sighed, waving him away. “Tell him I’ll be by around 1 this afternoon. But seriously, Padraig, fuck off.”
Padraig nodded turning to Liam briefly.
“Nice to meet you,” the rough voice nodded towards the shocked prince before stalking towards the kitchen.
“Who on earth was that?” Liam’s soft voice pulled her out of her glare towards the kitchen, her brow furrowed with worry.
“An associate of my father’s,” she shook her head softly before turning to look at the man across the table from her. “I’m sorry you had to witness that. My father has a tendency of being slightly overprotective of me.”
“I can understand completely,” he eyes crinkled as his smile grew. His gaze dropped to the giant plate of pancakes. “You’re chef friend wasn’t lying about how large your dish was. Are you sure you’ll be able to finish it all?”
“Why do you think I brought you with me?” She winked playfully at him before digging into her dish.
The meal was quiet as they savoured the delicious food in front of them. Though Liam found that the feeling was anything but uncomfortable. He watched her as she enjoyed her gigantic plate of pancakes. The way she would lick the excess syrup from the tangs on her fork, her eyes closing in pure enjoyment. He cleared his throat softly as he shifted uncomfortably in his chair. Perhaps he should have worn looser pants this morning…
“Do you have plans this evening?” Her eyes twinkled with mischief as she glanced up at his question. Placing her fork on the edge of her plate she tilted her head studying him closely.
“Breakfast and dinner? In one day?” Her grin grew as his cheeks warmed with embarrassment. “Well, aren’t you just spoiling me?”
“Unfortunately, it will not be dinner. I will be tied up with my brother at dinner.” Her eyebrow jumped into her hairline at his words. “However, I have an event I’m required to attend and would love to have you accompany me.”
“I would love to accompany you, Liam,” she grinned. “What time should I be ready for?”
“I’ll have a car at your apartment around 7 if that’s acceptable?” He blue eyes shone with excitement as she nodded. “I should warn you, it is black tie.”
“I promise to be perfectly presentable,” her smile teased the corners of her mouth. “It’s not every day you get to party with a prince.”
Her gaze moved off the side of their table as Dominick appeared at the kitchen door, pointing at his watch as he caught her eyes. Sighing deeply, she glanced down at the oversized watch adorning her wrist. 12:30… Time to face the music.
“I’m so sorry, Liam,” she sighed, pulling herself up from the table. “I have to go. My father is not a patient man.”
“Oh, of course. Please allow me to escort you there.” He pulled himself up next to her, leaving several bills on the table to cover the cost of their meal.
“Thanks, but I think I’ll just catch a cab…” She lifted onto her toes, place a soft kiss on his cheek. “Catch ya later.”
She threw him a wink and a peace sign with her fingers over her shoulder as she floated through the front door. What was it about this woman that kept him wanting more and more from her?

The warehouse seemed cold and dark as the cab pulled up outside the door.
“Thanks, man,” Sabrina smiled brightly, handing him a few bills before climbing out. Taking a deep, solidifying breath she moved towards the door and her fate.
“Sabrina,” a voice from the side of the stairs called to her. “He’s waiting for you.”
“Thanks, Josh,” she gave the man standing at the door a quick pat on the shoulder before heading up the stairs. She stood outside of the heavy wooden door at the top of the stairs gathering her wits before Padraig pushed the door open for her. A lone figure sat behind a large oak desk, surrounded by built-in bookcases filled with rare first editions and 2 wing-backed leather chairs.
“Ar deireadh thiocfaidh mo iníon[1],” the figure greeted her, swinging his arms out wide.
“Hi, Daddy,” she smiled in spite of herself, moving behind the heavy desk to plant a kiss on his weathered and whiskered cheek. “How are you?”
“Fine… fine, Banphrionsa[2],” her father nodded, motioning towards the chair in front of the desk. “Sit. We seem to have much to talk about.”
“We do?” Her face gave nothing away as the man studied his daughter closely. She folded her hands in her lap as she sat across from him. “I’m pretty sure our arrangement says that I actually have nothing to discuss with you.”
“Aye,” he nodded thoughtfully, pressing his steeped index fingers against this lips in thought. “Our arrangement also says you won’t become involved with one of my contacts.”
“And I haven’t,” her head tilted, dismissively. “Dominick was a long time ago, Daddy. You can’t hold him over my head.”
“The Prince of Cordonia, Banphrionsa? You think I wouldn’t find out?” Her eyebrows knit together in confusion as he settled back in his large desk chair. “I would’ve thought you’d be more interested in the older of the Rys boys honestly. He was always more your speed.”
“Leave Liam out of this,” she leaned forward in her chair jabbing a hard finger in his direction. “He’s far too good to be involved with the likes of you. And whatever his father does is none of my business.”
She pushed her chair out before rising to her feet.
“Fan amach as mo shaol[3],” she bit through clenched teeth. “Ní iarrfaidh mé arís, Athair[4].”
“Fan amach as mo ghnó, Banphrionsa, agus fanfaidh mé as do shaol[5],” he sneered. Sabrina spun on her heel, stomping out of the office and down the stairs.
Why the hell was his damned family involved in her father’s mess?
--
“So, brother,” Leo called over the small table at the hotel restaurant at his baby brother. “Where have you been all day?”
Liam pushed more of his food around his plate, distracted. His mind still sitting on the strange conversation Sabrina had with the large man at breakfast.
“Earth to Liam…” Leo tried again, this time flicking a pea at his younger brother off of his spoon. The pea reached its designated target, right between his brother’s eyes. Liam sputtered a few times, blinking as he glanced up at his older brother. “Where. Have you. Been. All day?”
“Are you sure you want me to answer that, Leo?” Liam’s eyebrow arched knowingly at his brother.
“Really, brother? All day?” Leo’s mouth gaped open as Liam smiled softly, a soft pink glow spread across his cheeks. “Did you come home at all last night?”
The blush deepened on the younger man’s cheeks, causing Leo to whoop loudly.
“You dog!” He cheered tossing another pea towards his brother. “Tell me, brother, was it everything you thought it would be? Did she have you seeing stars? The heavens perhaps?”
“Leo!” Liam exclaimed, his face turning as red as a tomato. “Nothing happened. I picked her up this morning for breakfast. However, she will be joining us after dinner.”
Leo’s eyes twinkled with mischief at the thought of an evening entertaining the pretty waitress with the ice blue eyes.
“Leo, you will be on your best behaviour tonight. I can’t have you screwing this up for me.” Liam’s dark blue eyes grew darker as he imploringly stared at his older brother.
“Screw what up, baby brother of mine?” Leo’s grin grew as he finished his last bite of steak and leaned back in his chair.
“I want to ask Sabrina to join us in Cordonia,” he smiled softly at the thought of the gorgeous blond woman in his home... on his arm... in his bed. “And I don’t want anything to go wrong when I ask her.”
Leo straightened his bow tie as he grinned over at his brother.
“Well, this is just perfect!” His hands clapped in front of him. “No woman can resist us if we work together!”
Liam sighed deeply before standing next to the table.
“Just don’t embarrass me tonight,” his hands pulled his tuxedo jacket gently, flattening it against his chest. “Now we better go and pick her up.”
Leo clapped his hand on Liam’s shoulder as they headed out to the car.
—
Sabrina smoothed the fabric down the front of her dress looking at Killer calmly lying on her bed. This was dress number 6 and she was pretty sure the dog was sick of the fashion show by now.
“This one?” She held her hands out at her side, spinning gently. The white fabric floated around her legs gracefully, jeweled ribbons sitting gently on her shoulders. The dog huffed softly, settling in. “Not this one?”
Killer lifted her head, cocking it to one side. She turned to try dress number 7, sighing deeply. Why did she ever agree to go to this stupid event? Why did she have to go and see her stupid father? What the hell did Liam have to do with him and his shady business?
Her phone buzzed letting her know that he was waiting for her downstairs.
“Well... there goes that plan...” she sighed. Killer’s soft ears received a quick rub. “Be a good girl, Killer. Daniel will be by later for your walk.”
She blew the dog a quick kiss as she ran out the door and down the stairs.
Her breath caught in her lungs as she saw him, standing stoically outside of the dark SUV sitting on the road outside of her run-down building. The jacket of his tuxedo pulling against his biceps as his arms crossed over his broad chest. The man could fill out a tux in the best way possible.
Her bottom lip caught between her teeth as her mind drifted to thoughts of what he would look like with that jacket adorning her floor.
“Hey,” She smiled, her voice was soft and breathy as he slowly ran his large hands down her bare arms.
“Hey yourself,” his eyes darkened as he took in her dress. “You look gorgeous.”
A dusting of pink graced her cheeks as he lowered his face to hers. Their lips met in a soft, chaste kiss. His hand slipped from her arm around to her lower back as he pressed her against himself. Her lips curled into a soft smile against his lips before sliding her tongue against them.
He chuckled lowly before letting her deepen the kiss by opening his lips to hers. Her small hands gripped the lapels of his jacket tightly, almost as if she was scared to let him go, while their tongues danced together.
“C’mon, lovebirds!” Leo’s playful voice called out from the back of the car, his head hanging out the window. “We’re going to be late.”
Sighing she pulled back from his lips. She glanced up at him through her eyelashes.
“Did you really need to bring him?” Liam chuckled gently, pulling her into a tight hug against him.
“Unfortunately, yes,” he whispered into her hair, curled softly and pinned back off of her neck. His lips gently pressed against the golden curls. Her sigh was deep against him.
“Well…” she mused, snuggling against his strong chest. “The sooner we get this over with… the sooner we can be alone, right?”
Liam squeezed her tighter at the thought of being alone. If only they didn’t have to go to this wretched event.
Leo threw the door open to the car causing the young couple to separate with a sigh. Liam’s strong, warm hand slid around hers giving it a reassuring squeeze.
She slid into the back of the car, finding herself facing the owner of a pair of bright green eyes.
“Hey there, pretty boy,” she grinned as Liam slid in next to her, his hand finding hers again.
“Beautiful,” Leo’s easy grin lit up his face. “It’s been a while.”
“Yup, less than 24 hours... like forever!” She winked at Leo as the car sped down the road. “Are you going to tell me where we’re going?”
“Nothing more than a charity event,” Liam’s breath felt warm against her bare shoulder. “Casino...”
“Booze...” Leo nodded thoughtfully. “Schmoozing... which is why father dearest has sent us.”
Liam sent a warning glance to his brother over Sabrina’s shoulder.
“You’re being sent to schmooze?” She glanced between the brothers. Leo shrugged easily, crossing an ankle over his thigh. Liam’s lips brushed her shoulder before a heavy sigh exited his lungs.
“Somewhat...” Liam’s deep, smooth voice resonated through her skin and directly into her soul. “We’re there to represent Cordonia. We’re there to help raise money for disaster relief for Japan. Plus our father has some business partners we need to touch base with while we’re here.”
Sabrina nodded silently, her stomach turning at the thought of who their business partners could possibly be. Her mind continuously went back to the conversation she had with her father. She smiled weakly at the brother across from her as she squeezed the hand of the one next to her before watching her city fly by outside the window.
