Your shoulder became burdened with the heaviness of Law’s weary head. The two of you had been sitting on the couch in his room, reading. Well, had been reading. Law had been studying texts on gene splicing and you had been reading that book you’d been meaning to read but kept putting off because you never had the time.

It finally had its moment. It’s perfectly unbent spine had been creased while you read the first 10 chapters when Law had fallen asleep. With a quiet sigh, you folded the corner of the page and set the book aside.

Leaning back more comfortably, Law’s hat became displaced and you took it off. Your fingers brushed against his silky, black locks when you moved the puffy white hat, and you couldn’t help but touch them again, carefully running your fingers and weaving them between his strands.

Law let out a content sigh and his breathing deepened, and you took it as permission to continue at a slower pace.

If you were honest with yourself, it’s the first time you’ve seen Law look so at ease. Or so tired that he promptly passed out. Either way, his face looked free of conflict, free of scowling. The lines on his forehead gone, the tight clenching of his jaw also gone.

Your fingers ran down his face, grazing against the unshaven stubble along his jawline. Fingertips gently pressed against his chin as you eyed his lips. Pressed in a thin line like always, you smirked to yourself.

You’ve been with Law a few years now and it seemed like the only time he looked rested was when he was with you, and not just because he got actual sleep. You liked to think to yourself that you brought the chronically introverted man some peace. Always planning, always researching, Law worked surprisingly hard for a Worst Generation pirate that wasn’t busy conquering territories or otherwise naming himself King.

He wouldn’t tell you the whole truth of what he was presently trying to figure out – but that’s expected. Law’s a doctor, a man who respected science and all the steps involved. He wouldn’t reveal anything until he tested his theories and hypothesis and found conclusions. Good or bad results.

His lithe body gently stretched before he leaned into you some more. You turned your body towards his so he could settle into you at an incline that was better for his neck and spine alignment. Tucking his head where your shoulder and neck met, his hair lightly tickled you as he settled comfortably in your embrace.

Your chin sat on his head as you ruminated in the memories of your time together. The day you joined his crew, the length of time it took for him to open up to you, the day you confessed your feelings towards each other. So deep in your nostalgia you didn’t realize your arm moved to rest across his tattooed chest, fingers partially under the v-cut of his cotton t-shirt, hugging the man to your body.

You didn’t notice the sly smile on his face either. And you wouldn’t for another 8 minutes as you replayed memories, daydreamed of new ones, all the while stroking his scalp and tightening your hold on him almost reflexively from time to time.

Law didn’t say anything, not wanting to break the spell of tranquility the two of you were in. He was perfectly aware of how absent he’d been recently, and he wasn’t one to state the obvious so instead he chose to give in to his deepest desire. To rest with you. To be at ease, not interrupted, to live in a state of blissful quiet.

Damn the near inaudible groan he let out when your fingers slowly grazed his scalp in a delightful way.

“How long have you been up?” you asked him.

He scrunched his eyes, half hoping he could pretend but he was never that good an actor, “Never went to sleep actually. I just wanted to rest my eyes.”

He wakes up to you clinging onto him.

You've both taken a nap after he had at least managed to get some cereal and a bottle of water into you, but right now, he knows the next wave of your fever has started again. If he looks at your behavior and body language, he'd say you're in the deepest phase now - completely oblivious to anything that might've held you back until now. You'd always seemed to keep his boundaries in mind, having remembered his limits, and it had impressed him in a way he can't quite describe properly.

But he also can't deny that he had gotten confused with himself as well.

Domestic things aren't his personal liking. He doesn't like gestures like that, as they had become completely meaningless over the course of the years- shattering his innocent dreams of love and pure affection after realizing that nothing was ever done without intentions. He's become to hate romance in general at this point - annoyed at valentines Day or other people's anniversary parties he'd get invited to.

He never actually shows up, always makes up excuses.

But as you grind your naked body against him, hands gripping the sheets and eyes closed in bliss, he can't help but imagine what it would be like to just stop and stare for a little bit. He'd already caught himself a few nights prior, offering to hold your hand after all - a gesture he's deemed childish and stupid until now, before he'd met you. You've talked, just a little, in between breaks- and while you don't seem to have many friends, you do seem to adore the one's you have with a pure and beautiful form of love.

It upsets him that he knows one day you'll regret being this kind.

But right now, he moves his focus on you again. As soon as you seem to notice his response to your actions, you turn around and straddle his waist, eyes hazy as you watch him move a bit to grab another condom from the bedside table, his gaze focused solely on your hands as they take it from him to put it on yourself.

And although he might not show it much on the outside, he's not been aroused from a simple sight like this in ages- if ever at all.

💐 What’s their favorite “domestic bliss” moment? Do they cook/clean together? Do they like to go out shopping together?

Domestic bliss: They love lazy weekend mornings where there’s no errands to be ran and they can just chill out in bed, soft sunlight coming in through the blinds, music playing quietly. Maybe they’re discussing the music that’s playing, their taste is very similar on the first sight but on the second, they actually have many different opinions or ideas about it and they just love to lead long conversations about it.

They’re both bad cooks. No joke, they’ve been close to burning down their kitchen many times. I wouldn’t say they love to cook together, it’s more like, it’s probably less likely going to end in a disaster if they’re looking out for one another. (But I suppose in a way they love it, yeah.) As for cleaning, I'd say Sharon is a bit more inclined to start cleaning even if she hates it and then Tyler joins her...it doesn't go without complaining though :D

Shopping, I guess it depends. They enjoy music stores, of course, or even shopping for clothes (though that's better if done online). Going to the supermarket for some regular grocery shopping though? Both hate it. Boring and overwhelming and in one way or another a sensory hell for both of them.

This got me thinking about a very specific scene in the old scrapped story so I’m gonna say hugs in bed. Lying down together, intertwined and talking out the struggles. Maybe it’ll end in taking off clothes. Maybe. Or maybe it was just that one scene that just came back to me :D
