When excited or agitated, Weather Report tends to shock himself and others, and you may even see small lightning bolts crackling from his fingertips and under his steps.

I'm half way through part 6 and I LOVE Weather Report and your last post reminded me how little I see anything for him. I'm really bad at thinking of requests but do you have any domestic hcs for him?
Oh geez this took a while to answer, sorry about that!I am happy you liked my interpretation of him though ♡
This is my first time with domestic headcanons but I hope it's good enough!
•He actually loves staying at home with his s/o,it's nice and people, and they can just cuddle in the sofa together
•Can you blame him though? After all that time in prison,he is just glad to have a place of his own where he feels comfortable. And his s/o is there too!It couldn't get any better!
•He loves cuddling with his s/o under the blankets on rainy or cold days to keep other warm.He may not admit it,but he loves hugs and anything that involves being close to his s/o
•Let's just say he isn't exactly the best at cooking. But he tries his best for his s/o and is always looking to learn from them so he can make dinner or breakfast for them sometimes
•He may not show it but cooking with his s/o's has proven to be quite fun, even if he needs a lot of help from them
•He can be very tidy when needed. He usually doesn't care much, but he has to share the house with his s/o so he makes sure not to make a mess and does a lot of house chores
•Weather usually stays up really late, watching TV,reading or whatever. He doesn't approve of his s/o doing it though, and tells them to go to sleep instead.Sometimes he will even join them right away if they agree. He just wants the best for them

hey there stranger, part 16
a/n: ahahah im literally publishing this to get it out of the way and hope that i will have motivation to write soon.........my life is a shitshow :)
warnings: violence, fighting, bisexuality(?), jotaro and wes being dumb
Tumblr media
You nodded, hissing between your teeth. Wes said, “Hey, asshole. I was talking to you.”
Jotaro straightened up, his eyes blazing with anger, and that’s when Wes punched him in the mouth.
You stood still for a moment, gaping. Jotaro was in no such shock. He reeled back, then rushed Wes, landing an uppercut to his ribs that had the breath whooshing from his lungs. Wes staggered, gasping, and Jotaro took the opportunity to shuck off his hat and coat. “Come on, dick.”
Wes growled, regaining his feet. “You think you can just take her?”
Jotaro wiped blood from his lip. “You shouldn’t make promises you can’t keep.”
You shook yourself, shock giving way to anger. “Both of you. Out. Now.”
They looked at you, and Wes said, “What?”
You were furious by now. “Out. Get the fuck out. I tried my best to keep this civil, and you two are acting like children. So. Get. Out.”
Jotaro blinked. “He-”
You slammed your hands on the counter. “Out! I wanted a nice fucking evening with you two, where you could actually get along, even if you faked it, and you couldn’t even do that! Out!”
They looked at you in shock. Jotaro turned to go first, and Wes followed.
Outside, they both sat on the steps to your building. The same steps Jotaro had first kissed you on. Jotaro put his head in his hands. Wes put his elbows on his knees, thinking for a moment. “You’re right.”
Jotaro looked up. “What?”
Wes scoffed. “I shouldn’t have told her to do that. I can’t keep that promise, but I have to now.”
Jotaro looked down. “I can’t say it’s exciting to me, either. But we need to do it for her.”
Wes nodded. “For her.”
Jotaro straightened up, grunting softly. He touched his split lip. “You’ve got a hell of a right hook.”
Wes just sighed, leaning back against the wall and putting one hand on his ribs. “I could say the same for your uppercut. Nearly killed me.”
Jotaro closed his eyes. “She loves you.”
Wes swallowed. “So? She loves you, too. That doesn’t mean shit, and you know it. I’m fucking up bad, and I can’t stop.”
Jotaro touched the scar running down his face. “Why are you so jealous of me? You really think she’d want…This?”
Wes chuckled bitterly. “She kissed you.”
Jotaro’s heart dropped. “She was sad, and hurt. I took advantage of that.”
Wes gritted his teeth. “As much as I want to believe that, I don’t. It doesn’t explain her asking me to… To share.”
He spat the word like it was a razor blade lodged in his tongue. “You fucked her. She fucked you. She wouldn’t do that- She wouldn’t do that if- If she didn’t really want you.”
Jotaro put a hand on Wes’s shoulder. “She still loves you. She loves you more than me. You can still have her. Just enjoy it.”
Wes clenched his fists. “Get your fucking hand off me before I bust your lip back open.”
Jotaro squeezed Wes’s shoulder. “Then do it. I deserve it. I fucked my daughter’s friend.”
Wes squeezed his eyes shut. He felt tears trickling down his face. ”She’s going to kill me.”
Jotaro chuckled softly. “I’m dreading her coming back outside. She’s gonna kill both of us.”
Wes wiped his face. “You’re so experienced and distinguished. I spent my twenties and thirties in a jail cell, with murderers. I got my degrees, but I never got to hold another woman after Perla. Not until Y/N. I never got to see the ocean or swim with sharks or discover a fucking new species of starfish.”
Jotaro inhaled. “You’ve done your research on me.”
Wes tipped his head back. “Of course I did.”
Jotaro swallowed. “For what it’s worth, Y/N is the first woman I’ve touched since Jolyne’s mom divorced me.”
Wes blinked. “What?”
Jotaro put his face in his hands. “It’s pathetic. I love her. I’ve fallen for her so slowly, I never realized how deep I was. How absolutely fucked I am.”
Wes swallowed, his stomach clenching. “You’re just as hopeless as I am.”
Jotaro chuckled softly, sadly. “Yeah. Yeah, I am.”
The two men looked at each other for a moment longer, something between them that neither understood. A tug in the pit of their stomachs, a need that both had taken as jealousy. Jotaro swallowed, his lips parting. Wes wet his lips nervously, his eyes searching Jotaro’s gaze.
Wes broke first. He looked down and said softly, “I shouldn’t have started this. I should have talked to her.”
Jotaro shrugged. “Can’t take back my split lip now.”
Wes chuckled. Jotaro laughed quietly. Before long, both men were laughing out loud, holding their sides and leaning on each other.
You sat down inside, holding your head in your hands. What the fuck. What the fuck?
Just then, Jolyne and Hermes walked in. She smiled at you. “Hey, fatherfucker. Why are your boyfriends outside on the step laughing like maniacs?”
You looked up. “Huh? They just had a fight.”
Jolyne shrugged. “Didn’t look it. Looked like they were having fun.”
You sighed and put your head in your hands. “Leave it to them to suddenly become friends.”
Jolyne sat down at the bar. “Why were they fighting?”
You shrugged. “Too much testosterone.”
Hermes snorted, standing behind Jolyne. “I figured.”
You hiked yourself up to sit on the counter. “They’re just not built for this.”
Hermes rolled her eyes. “You knew that.”
You nodded, thinking. “I’m gonna go talk to them.”
You hopped down off the counter. Jolyne and Hermes watched as you padded to the door and put on flip flops. You reached for the door, and it opened. You swallowed, looking up at Wes and Jotaro, both looking inscrutable and stoic as usual. You crossed your arms. “You boys done?”
Wes cracked a small smile. “Yeah. We’re good.”
He looked at Jotaro, who nodded. You smiled and held out your arms. They both hugged you, and the press of their broad chests was the safest you’d felt in a long time.

hey there stranger, pt 9
a/n: im not sorry. yall are gonna be sad
warnings: jealousy, domestic fighting, infidelity
Tumblr media
You got up and walked after him, slipping out of your shirt and skirt. The bathroom was as open and airy as his bedroom, with the same floor-to-ceiling windows next to a huge tub.
Wes was sitting on the edge, running his fingers under the water. He was naked, and moonlight was shining off the planes of his muscles. You ran your finger up the curve of his spine, and he shivered. “Shit, scared me.”
You smiled. “Is the water warm?”
He nodded and stood, kissing you gently. “I figured we could keep the lights off. The moon is bright.”
You smiled and slipped into the warm water. “Sounds good.”
He slipped in beside you, and you leaned into him with a soft hum. You glanced down into the water, putting one hand on his leg. “What are the scars on your calves from?”
He shifted a little and coughed softly. “My brother cut off my legs when I was trying to get him to see reason.”
You nodded. “And who-”
He smiled. “Jolyne sewed them back on.”
You sat up, frowning. “Jolyne isn’t a nurse. How-”
He looked away. “It- It was temporary. Until we saw a doctor.”
You sighed softly. It still didn’t seem right, but who were you to question it?
The next few weeks were blissful. You slept over at his house whenever you could, and he gave you your space when you wanted it. He was a frequent customer at your work, and always visited you on your breaks to bring you lunch or buy you coffee. You had only been dating a month, but your heart was full enough to burst.
Jotaro was back in town, and he was over at the apartment frequently to help Jolyne. She was working on a Physics degree, and she needed help with math. Jotaro was the only one she’d let help her, even though the rest of you had science degrees. You were still working on your doctorate in oceanography, but you’d had to pause due to lack of funding.
But you’d taken calculus courses, so it was easy to shout answers at Jolyne. You usually did it faster than Jotaro, who preferred to let her find her own way. You also enjoyed how irritated it made Jotaro, who usually shot you a dirty look. He still scared Hermes, but he didn’t scare you.
You noticed it first when you’d come over to help them solve a particularly tricky derivative. Wes was in the kitchen, making fried chicken, and you’d been helping him until Jolyne called you. She was hunched over her textbook, Jotaro sprawled next to her on the couch. He was taking up the whole couch, and she was in the corner. It was a small couch, but still. You nudged his leg. “Hey, big boy. Let me sit.”
He sat up and pulled his legs in, one hand tipping his hat down. “Sure.”
You sat next to him and reached across for Jolyne’s textbook. She set it in her father’s lap, and you both leaned over to it. You rambled for a bit about the different aspects of the book, until you gestured too far and brushed your hand over Jotaro’s thigh.
He tensed a little and looked down at you, and you noticed his cheeks were flushed. You swallowed and kept talking, but Wes had seen it. The room felt colder suddenly. Jolyne swallowed, and winced. “My ears keep popping.”
You looked up. “Weird.”
Wes called to you, “Y/N, can you come make the sauce you always do?”
You nodded and got up. “Jolyne, you got it?”
She nodded back, grinning. Jotaro didn’t react as you left. When you got over to Wes, he pulled you into a rough kiss. You giggled and kissed back, and Jolyne shouted, “Get a room!”
You pulled back, gasping a little. “What was that for?”
He chuckled. “Just because I love you.”
His hands lingered on your waist as you got out the ingredients for your sauce.
Jotaro was over at your place frequently, and you got to talking with him several times about his projects. When he told you about the starfish that had won him his own doctorate, you joked, “Should I call you Doctor Kujo instead?”
His cheeks turned faintly pink, and he swallowed. “Just Jotaro.”
You’d nodded. “Have you ever done any oceanographic surveying?”
Just as Jotaro began to answer, Wes had walked in the door to pick you up. You jumped up and kissed his cheek. “Jotaro was telling me about the coolest shit.”
Wes grinned, kissing you back and straightening his suit. “Oh. Cool.”
Wes was jealous of Jotaro. You knew that. You never considered how he’d deal with it, but it seemed like he’d about reached his breaking point. He dropped heavily into a chair, pulling you down into his lap. “So, Doctor Kujo.”
You settled onto his thighs, swallowing a little. This was too intimate for an everyday conversation. Jotaro looked between you two, his blind eye moving with his sighted one. Wes groaned. “The new scar is cool, but the eye is creepy.”
You gasped. “Wes, you can’t just-”
Jotaro chuckled. “He’s right.”
Wes’s jaw was set. He knew what he’d said was insensitive, but he couldn’t stop himself. “So, can’t the Speedwagon Foundation fix it?”
Jotaro shook his head. “No, they can’t. My eye was split, and they didn’t want to take it. It clouded over like this from scar tissue.”
You tried to shift, but Wes’s grip on you was strong. You pulled away from him. “Wes, what the fuck do you think you’re doing?”
He blinked. “Sitting with my girl.”
You pushed on his chest. “No, this is some fucked up power play. Let me go, you fucking prick.”
He did as you asked, but he looked angry. “It’s not my fault you’ve been flirting with him. Or that he’s been making eyes at you for as long as we’ve been together!”
You gritted your teeth, standing over him. “And you never thought to, I don’t know, talk to me about it? Rather than pulling this shit? He’s my friend’s dad! I couldn’t do that to her.”
Wes stood too, his eyes hard. “You’re not saying you weren’t flirting.”
You clenched your hands into fists. “You don’t trust me.”
Wes sighed loudly. “I didn’t say-”
You shook your head. “Don’t.”
You walked out, fuming.
You sat on the steps in front of your building, the humid air hanging still and hot around you. You heard the door open and sighed. “Go home, Wes-”
A voice with slightly more bass cut you off. “I’m not Wes.”
Jotaro dropped onto the step next to you. “I’m sorry.”
You sighed. “I appreciate it, but believe me, it’s not your fault.”
He swallowed. “It is, I think. I-”
You turned to look at him. He was staring down at the pavement. You frowned. “What?”
He turned to look at you. “I know you said you couldn’t do that to Jolyne, but- Wes wasn’t wrong.”
You blinked, and he sighed. “I’m bad at this. I think you’re gorgeous. I always have.”
You flushed, too shocked to speak. He took off his hat, running his fingers through graying black hair. You breathed, “Your hair looks so soft.”
He flushed and looked back down. “I really do like you. You’re-”
You touched his cheek. “Jotaro, don’t. You know I- You know we can’t.”
He swallowed, and suddenly he was very close. His lips were inches from yours, and you could feel his hot breath. He bit his lip, his eyes flicking down to your lips and back up to your eyes. “I know, but-”
You kissed him before he could finish, holding his face in your hands. He grunted softly and kissed back. He was clumsy, but you could feel the need surging in him. His hands pulled you closer by your waist, closer until you were on his lap. You felt his cock against you, hot and hard in his pants, and you pulled back. “I can’t. You know I can’t.”
You got up and put your hand on the door handle back into your apartment. “I’m sorry.”
You went back inside, and started climbing the stairs. Wes met you on the stairwell. “Y/N, I’m so sorry. I don’t- I don’t know what I was thinking. I was so angry, and i was dumb. I-”
You sighed softly and kissed him. “It’s okay.”
He hugged you tight. “Okay.”
You put your head on his shoulder, your mind swirling. Things had just gotten a lot more complicated.

hey there stranger(pt 4)
a/n: lol uh its a little short but....yeah i hope yall like it
warnings: none tbh this is just kinda cute
word count: 1.4k
Tumblr media
The next day, you were working a nine-hour shift at the diner down the block. You dreaded it a little, but the money was worth it, and you generally enjoyed your customers. When you walked in at nine, your manager tossed you an apple. “Eat something, you look skinny.”
You laughed and bit into it. She was right, you hadn’t eaten breakfast. You munched on the apple as you clocked in, then threw out the core before you walked out behind the bar.
This was your main job: serving coffee and food to the people at the bar. The cook, a large man with a loud laugh named Rodney, grabbed your elbow before you could leave. “Who’s the asshole at the bar? An ex or something?”
You glanced out. It was Wes. You flushed. “That’s my-“
What was he? Shit.
You swallowed, and decided to commit. “That’s my boyfriend.”
Rodney frowned. “You? With a boyfriend? He looks old for you.”
You sighed. “Quit it. I like him.”
The cook nudged you. “Whipped already, huh?”
You stuck your tongue out, and walked out of the kitchen. “Good morning.”
Wes smiled at you. He was your only customer. “It is a good morning, when I get to see you.”
You blushed. “I’m not allowed to flirt with customers, sir.”
He sighed. “Not even one as handsome as me?”
You rolled your eyes a bit. “Would you like some coffee?”
He shrugged and leaned back. “If you make it.”
You shook your head and went into the kitchen, putting a pot of coffee on. One of the other waitresses, a redheaded girl named Allie, walked in and started gushing. “That guy at the bar is so hot. Kind of like a silver fox. And he said he was waiting for you to get here. Is he your boyfriend?”
You sighed softly and kept making the coffee. “Yes. That’s my new boy.”
Allie gasped. “Oh my god. He’s so hot! His eyes are so intense.”
You nodded along, waiting for the coffee pot to fill as she bubbled up about Wes’s various physical features. She said, “I bet his dick is big. Is it?”
You glanced over at her, hiding a grin. “Yeah. He’s huge.”
She gasped. “Wow, he’s perfect! And so romantic! I’d die if the guy I was dating came to my work to hang out with me.”
You bit your lip. “Thanks, Allie.”
You pulled the fresh pot of coffee off the pot and walked out. Wes was waiting, and you filled his cup. “How did you find out where I worked?”
He shrugged. “Jolyne told me. I wanted to surprise you. You’re not angry, are you?”
He looked up at you, and you sighed, touching his hand. “No, I’m glad you’re here.”
He smiled. “Good.”
He smirked a little. “You’re sure you can’t flirt with customers?”
You laughed and nodded. “I’m sure.”
He shrugged and drank from his mug. He smiled. “This is the best coffee I’ve ever had.”
You shook your head at him. “You’re such a flirt.”
He said playfully, “But what if I’m not kidding?”
You just shook your head again, walking off.
Wes was your best customer the whole day, paying for his coffees in big bills and telling you to keep the change. He intervened with a few rude people for you, and never demanded your attention. You were grateful for his presence.
When you took off your apron to leave, he got up silently and waited outside for you. You walked into the warm evening, the sun still setting slowly.
He was leaning against the wall, and looked over at you when you left. “Hey there.”
You leaned against his shoulder. “You helped me today.”
He nodded. “I thought you could use it.”
You took his hand. “Thank you.”
He looked down at you. “You’re welcome.”
You leaned up and kissed him, and he smiled. “Let me walk you home.”
You nodded. “But you’re not getting any.”
He laughed. “That’s fine.”
You grinned up at him. “Come on. Foo is making dinner.”
He began to walk with you, but he was going the wrong direction. You frowned. “My apartment is the other way.”
He nodded. “I drove here.”
You blinked. “Oh.”
He led you to a dark blue car, parallel parked in front of your diner. It was slung low, and looked powerful and expensive. He opened the passenger side for you and gestured. You got in, and he slid in on the other side. “Do you want to go home, or go for a drive?”
You stretched out on the soft black suede of his seats, and hummed. “Home, then a drive after I shower and put on something cuter than my uniform.”
He nodded and shifted the car into drive. The hum of the engine sent a buzz between your legs, and he smirked at you. “Feels nice, huh?”
You swallowed. “Yeah.”
He pulled out of the parking space and drove down the street, parking in front of your apartment buildings. Before you could get out, he was there, opening the door for you. You took his hand and got up. His hand slid down to your waist, and he pulled you into a gentle kiss. You chuckled. “You don’t get to seduce me with your car.”
He murmured, “And why not?”
You gasped as you felt his wet lips roaming down your neck. “Because I’m covered in grease, and tired.”
He hummed. “I can do all the work.”
You pushed him back gently. “Not here. Let me eat, and then we can do something on the drive.”
He nodded and kissed your cheek. “I don’t mean to push.”
You sighed. “Yes, you do.”
His lips quirked. “Maybe.”
You pushed at his chest playfully. “You just don’t know when to quit, do you?”
He shrugged and pulled you into another long kiss, nipping at your lip gently. You gasped again, and he licked his lips. He murmured, “You have no idea what you do to me.”
You bit your lip. “I have every idea. It’s pressed against my thigh.”
He nipped at your ear gently, whispering, “I want to make you feel better than you ever have. I feel like a teenager again, raring to go at any second. I want you so much-”
His breath caught. You stepped back from him. “Come on, you horny mess. Let’s eat.”
You took his hand and kissed his cheek. “I know.”
He swallowed. “I’ve never been this hungry for anyone before. Is this normal?”
You nodded. “I want you too, I just know how to deal with it better.”
He stuck his tongue out. “I just have to live like this, huh?”
You laughed. “So dramatic.”
You opened the door to your apartment, and the smell of garlic and cheese greeted you. Foo was at the stove, stirring a simmering pan. Hermes was sitting with one arm around Jolyne, and she smiled at you. You nodded back. “Hope you don’t mind one more.”
Foo looked up. “Oh, no, I don’t! I’m making plenty.”
Wes walked in and smiled. Jolyne grinned at him. “Don’t you have your own house?”
Hermes chimed in. “And money?”
Jolyne nudged her. “And food?”
Hermes chuckled, and Wes tried to smile disarmingly. “Maybe I just missed my favorite girl gang.”
Hermes pointed at you. “Don’t you dare have sex with him. Keep him on his toes.”
You shook your head. “Wouldn’t dream of it.”
Wes groaned. “Damn, time for me to go.”
You punched his arm playfully. “Asshole.”
He kissed your head gently. “That’s me.”
He moved over to Foo in the kitchen. “Anything I can help with?”
Foo smiled at him. “Can you watch this while I go chop onions? Don’t let it burn.”
He nodded. “Absolutely.”
You nodded at them. “I’m gonna go shower and change. Don’t wait to eat.”
You went to your room and stripped, then got into the shower. As you washed the grease from your hair, you thought. Wes seemed to like you a lot. Sometimes too much. You hummed softly. You couldn’t deny that his lips and fingers were amazing, not to mention his cock. He was a good guy, you decided.
You turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. You walked into your room and put on a pair of lacy underwear and soft shorts, then pulled on a tank top. You walked out, and Wes was pouring thick cream sauce onto everyone’s plate. Including yours. You smiled at him and padded over to give him a kiss. He hummed. “Hi there.”
You smiled at your roommates. Foo grinned back. “Weather is a good cook. He helped a lot.”
You took his hand, and he smiled at you. You sat down next to each other and ate in companionable silence.

hey there stranger, part 10
a/n: ohoho.....
Tumblr media
Things only continued to get more complicated. Jotaro was colder to you, actively ignoring you unless he had to, and you started to spend more and more time at Wes’s place. You couldn’t deny it, though: you still longed for the passion Jotaro had shown.
Wes was still passionate, and in fact was more so since the fight: He’d started bringing you flowers weekly, and was discussing buying you a car. You’d brushed it off, but he knew you needed one.
Wes could tell something was off, and you knew it: he just thought it was his fault. You felt guilty that he thought of it like that. You knew you had to fix it.
You were sitting with your legs in his lap as you watched TV in his room, when you heard him sigh. You turned to him. “Everything okay?”
He looked away, laying flat on his bed. “I wish you’d tell me what happened.”
You flushed. “What?”
He sighed. “I figured Jotaro had just left, but he came back up after I went to apologize. So he went after you. Why?”
You looked down. “Jotaro does want me.”
Wes cursed under his breath. “I was right.”
You covered your face. “He- I- We kissed.”
Wes shot up. “What?”
You couldn’t look at him. “He told me I was gorgeous, and then he was so close, and I was so angry and sad, and he’s so-”
You dared a glance at Wes. His face was hard and angry. You swallowed. “I’m sorry.”
Wes said quietly, “You kissed him. What kind of kiss was it?”
His voice was flat. You swallowed. “It doesn’t-”
Wes cut you off. “It matters. Did he have his tongue in your mouth? Did he grab your ass?”
You inhaled slowly. “He did tongue me. He pulled me onto his lap, and when I felt- I felt him, and I pushed him away and left.”
Wes nodded. “So that’s why Jotaro has been avoiding us, huh.”
You nodded, and you felt Wes’s hand on your shoulder. “He took advantage of your moment of weakness.”
You leaned into his touch. “I kissed him first. I-”
Wes’s hand tightened. “You wanted him?”
You nodded, and he went silent. You turned to him. “I love you. I didn’t- I wasn’t thinking. I don’t love him. Not like that.”
He nodded, his face twisting. “Can you live without him?”
Your heart dropped, and you nodded slowly. He leaned in and kissed you. You kissed back, feeling Wes’s passion, his anger, his need, and when you pulled away, you breathed, “I’ll find a way.”
He pulled you close, and you spent the rest of the night in silence.
The days strayed into weeks, and you still hadn’t spoken to Jotaro. It was November, and a chill had crept over the little corner of Fort Lauderdale you all lived in: a rare thing for the tropical town. It was still warm enough for a simple jacket to be enough, though.
You hurried back to your apartment, closing the door of your new Mazda 6 behind you. A present from Wes. You climbed the stairs, opened the door, and dumped an armload of groceries onto the counter. The girls were all slumped on the couches, watching TV. The news was on: a live broadcast of the weather. Wes was onscreen, gesturing to cloud formations. “And if I’m not mistaken, we’ve got a storm coming in! It looks like cold rain and sleet right now, but stay tuned. It’ll be a monster either way.”
Jolyne clicked off the tv and jumped up. “Y/N, can you do me a huuuuge favor?”
You sighed. “If you buy my gas.”
Jolyne grinned, holding out an envelope. “Awesome. Take this to my dad.”
You stiffened. “Jolyne-”
She sighed, waving you off. “I know, you offended him somehow, and you’re scared of him now, but he told me he misses talking to you. So just take it to him. Apologize or something.”
You huffed out a breath, and she pouted at you. The tension stayed for a moment, and then you sighed. “Fine. Fine!”
She squealed and hugged you. “Thank you!”
You laughed and hugged back. “You’re too good at convincing me.”
She pulled back. “I owe you one!”
You shook your head and took the envelope. “Tell him it’s me.”
She nodded, still grinning. “Be careful.”
You sighed. “Fine, fine.”
You waved at them and left. The temperature was dropping rapidly. You’d have to make this fast.
You got into your car and started it. Jotaro lived on the opposite side of the city, but apparently, since you were the only one with a car now, it was your job. Ugh. You navigated your way through traffic. The roads were slick, and you were going five under by the time you found Jotaro’s house. When you pulled up, he opened the door. You got out with the envelope and hopped onto the porch, shivering. You pulled your jacket close around you. “Fuck me, it’s cold. Here.”
Jotaro took the envelope. “What is this?”
You sighed. “Fuck if I know. Jolyne told me to give it to you.”
He nodded, glancing at you. “Why don’t you have a coat on?”
You shuddered. “I don’t have one. We live in Florida, Dr. Kujo.”
He nodded and stepped back. “Come in. I’ll make you coffee. And Jotaro is still fine.”
You stepped into the house. It was warm. You shuddered again and closed the door behind you. You toed off your shoes in the front hall, where Jotaro’s shoes were standing. Jotaro was already on his way to the kitchen, and you followed slowly. His house was furnished in dark wood and photos of marine life, with a few pictures of Jolyne here and there. It was meticulously clean, like nobody actually lived there.
His voice jerked you from your reverie. “Milk or not?”
You hurried into the kitchen. “Just sugar.”
He handed you the mug and nodded to the cabinet. “Up there.”
You opened the cabinet. Fuck. The sugar was on the top shelf. And the top shelf was built for someone as tall as Jotaro, who had nearly a foot on you. You cursed under your breath, and then Jotaro pressed up behind you, taking the sugar down. “Yare yare. Ask for help next time.”
His broad form stayed close behind you as you spooned sugar into your coffee, and you swallowed. “Jotaro, can you step back?”
He nodded and moved away, and you swallowed and turned to face him. His face was still stony. He said, “Wes doesn’t want you talking to me now. You told him.”
You nodded quickly, and he sighed. “I’m sorry.”
You did a double-take. Jotaro apologizing? You set your cup down. “I made the first move.”
He shook his head. “I shouldn’t have ever told you.”
You swallowed hard, feeling nervousness coiling in your stomach. “Then what? You would have been stuck.” Jotaro nodded slowly, looking down. You drank down your coffee quickly, then pulled your keys from your pocket. “I should go.”
He closed his eyes and nodded again, and you walked past him to the door. Your heart sank. “It’s snowing.”
Jotaro frowned. “What the fuck?”
He followed you, and you both looked out into sheets of white. You couldn’t see past the porch. The wind howled through the beams, and you shivered. “I don’t think I can leave.”
Your phone rang. It was Wes. You answered it. “Hey.”
His voice was crackly. “Hey, are you okay? Jolyne said she sent you out on an errand, but it’s a whiteout. I’m stuck at the station. Did you make it home?”
You swallowed. “No. I’m stuck at Jotaro’s house.”
Wes breathed a deep sigh. “Of course Jolyne sent you there. Fuck.”
The line was silent, and then he said, “Wait it out. And…”
You swallowed. “What?”
Wes said, “If he makes you happy, you can have him too.”
You blinked. “What???”
Wes growled softly. “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but if he makes you happy, then be with him too. Both of us. Tell him I said that.”
You inhaled. “Wes, I love you.”
He was quiet. “I love you too. And I know that staying away from him hurts. I don’t want you to hurt. I want you to be happy. You have both of us.”
You swallowed hard. “I don’t know if I can-”
Wes chuckled. “Be selfish for once. Let me have this, huh?”
You laughed softly, and said, “Fine. I love you. I love you so much.”
He sighed, crackling into the bad connection. “I love you too. Just come back to me when you can.”
You smiled. “I will.”
You hung up, and Jotaro was standing next to you. “Both of us?”
You nodded, and he took his hands out of his pockets, then took off his hat. “I can do that.”
