Robotic Dolphin Land Suit
Dolphins are really fucking smart. The obvious thing to do with that knowledge is to stop all of the awful dolphin slaughtering going on all over the world. Hayden Pentierre is totally on top of that, so I've decided to take a different approach. I think the next best thing we could do for dolphins is to enable them to integrate into our society. How to do that? Well, I think it's pretty obvious. Dolphins need robotic suits that allow them to live among us. I'm clearly not the first person to have thought of this, but I'm going to present the idea nonetheless.
See the basic sketch below.

First, the dolphin will be upright instead of its normal horizontal position. I can see some complications around this since it's entire body has evolved to function underwater and horizontally, so I don't know what the impact being held up vertically and living on land will have on their organs, etc. I think having several padded braces up and down the body of the dolphin will even out the pressure needed to keep the animal upright. I wouldn't advise that the dolphin spend more than a few hours a day in their rig for fear of organ damage.
Second, the dolphin usually looks forward when it is horizontal and it can't turn it's head. For this I have put some mirrors around it's eyes so it can see forward. These could articulate much like your car's side mirrors in order to give the dolphin the ability to look to the left or right.
Third, the dolphin needs to be able to move. I've added some large treads to the bottom similar to tank treads. I'm open on the design of this part of the suit. From looking at different robots with treads on the Internet I see that there are several different ways of doing this.
Fourth, the dolphin needs some arms. How else is it supposed to pay for things, open doors, etc? I've attached arms with robotic hands to the dolphin's flippers.
Fifth, the dolphin needs to be able to control all of the elements of the suit. I can see two ways of doing this: (1) mouth controls using the tongue as a mouse (2) tap right into the brain a la Johnny Mnemonic.
So let's do it already! I, for one, would really like to incorporate a dolphin into my friend group.
