You wake up, again. It almost feels like a chore having your alarm ruin your perfect dream and having to get out of your lovers embrace. The sun's rays escape through the curtain, almost blinding you. Your about to sit up when a hand draped around your waist stops you in your tracks.

"Dont go.." Your boyfriend muttered sleepily. You smiled softly, you could easily push his hand away but you don't. You lean back resting your head on the pillows.

"You actually listened?" He questioned slightly awake now, you'd usually refuse his antics and go to work anyways even though his pout would make you want to run back into his arms.

"I had to, no? Seeing you pout like that every morning is doing something to me." You say, slightly protesting but you don't mean it. Dokeyeom smiles softly to your response, a smile that reaches his eyes. Suddenly the suns rays don't seem so blinding anymore.

You find yourself running in the rain. You don't know why, don't know who you're running to. All you know is that you can't afford to stop, your legs need to keep running. Every step you take burns, you can feel your breath catching in your throat but you keep running. To someone, perhaps away from someone? You run until your legs give out until you fall to your knees. Until your knees form scrapes from the harsh cement. The rain continues on relentlessly, pit pat pit pat. The sound doesn't stop, it never stops. Who are you even running to? "hey kid, it's rainin', better find some shelter" You heard a middle-aged man say before leaving. Shelter. What was shelter? The bookshop on the other side of the street? The convenience store further down? Or was it the run-down cinema right beside her? What was shelter, and who was shelter? Was shelter Lee Seokmin? Fuck, you think to yourself. Everything always leads to one person, Lee Seokmin. Now you remember, you wanted to forget, to experience ecstasy once again, so you ran. It was midnight, you were rolling around because you couldn’t fall asleep. You grabbed your phone from the bed-side table and started scrolling on tiktok. It was somehow therapeutic. You were watching a tik tok when you suddenly heard something coming out of your husband's mouth. Was that a.. Snore? 

“Hansol are you snoring?” You couldn’t help but giggle as your husband woke up clearly confused.

“Hmm, huh, er, yeah?”  He said, still in a daze from being woken up.

“I never knew you snored.” You said half-shocked but amused. 

He ran a hand through his brown locks almost shrugging as he replied “Well I guess I never told you.”

“Well I can’t believe I never noticed.” You confessed, well you were a deep sleeper and you probably could sleep through an earthquake was what one of your friends said. 

“Darling you always sleep before me and you sleep like a log. Of course you would never notice.” He mumbled jokingly looking at your offended face which was definitely over-exaggerated. 

“Hey! I don’t sleep like a log.” You protested only to be met with a small affectionate kiss to your lips to shut you up.

“Sure, keep saying that.” He snickered before cupping your cheeks. 

“Dokewyeom would agwee with me.” You argued but your words came out slurred. You were only met with a hearty chuckle from vernon.

“That's because Dokeyeom agrees with everyone sweetheart.” He said lovingly before you admitted defeat because you couldn’t argue with that. Dokeyeom was really a ray of sunshine.
