Crying in my pj’s

I hate when my depression rises up. Especially when I’m already battling major anxiety over having to go back to work tomorrow. I have so much love for the people in my life but sometimes I feel like they don’t even know I exist. Then I go to work surrounded by hate and ignorance and anger. Sometimes I want to just give up, say fuck it, new dealer. But then I know that’s no solution and will just shift my pain to many other people. “Maybe” depression says. Maybe they’ll miss you, maybe they’ll care. Maybe all the good I’ve done and love I’ve shown will make a sliver of a difference. But maybe not. Maybe it would be just my wife and kids in a quiet, empty room waiting for people to come who never will. I hate my depression, I hate my anxiety. Why does my life have to be filled with so much pain?

Give up

When can I give up?

When is it my turn to step aside and let someone else shoulder the load for a change?

When will it be okay for me to be too tired to go on?

To get back up after the next hit, to turn the other other other cheek?

When will someone see I can’t hold the pieces together alone and offer to hold the ones I can’t?

I wake every morning and I ask when and I answer just one more day. I’ve been saying that for years and it when never comes.

Pleas for help go unanswered.

Pleas for support and understanding go unheard.

I don’t think when is ever going to come and I am so so tired of waiting.
