the post in question
i'm overall happy and grateful to my physical functionality etc etc but recently i've noticed some decreased optimality in healing speed and also random minor physical stuff cropping up. like i'd be fairly content to stop the clock at my current 'body age' or some not-too-many-years before my current age. but i've seen others go through significant physical/health struggles that are just part of the inevitable wear and tear of surviving the decades. i guess it's more of a fear of future difficulties. (knee replacements seem like a pain, etc.)
so idk maybe i'd freeze it at [moments before i beborked my knee]. or maybe [1 year before the hand eczema activated]. just as examples.
it's funny cuz i do feel my most Me at my current age and body. i get a lot of enjoyment out of my current embodiment. but if i'm going to cash in on the minor physical conveniences of Youth, I might as well grab the magic benefit of: "immune system not waning."
#cyborg lifeblogging#biologically it's kind of a fascinating magic premise#because i start to ask like how does it even work#does this magic age-freeze prevent cancer for example?#even if it doesn't stop cancer because you can't stop cell division and not die...#it probably still decreases your cancer risk a little because a 'younger' immune system is a stronger defense against cancer
