They had their issues, but they were still a mark on internet entertainment that won't ever be replicated ever again. There's going to be a hole in internet culture and entertainment because of their absence.

Why I don't like the scene of Pyrrha's statue

I decided to analyze and give my opinion about a scene from RWBY. I'm talking about a scene that made a lot of fans and reactors cry but not me. Of course i'm talking about the scene where Jaune founds out the statue of Pyrrha. I don't like this scene for several reasons that I'll be glad to share with you:

1. I think it makes little sense that they made her an statue. I get that she was famous but the last thing the world saw from her was how she ripped apart another student. I don't think anyone but the main cast knows that she died fighting Cinder since she was turned into literal dust. Besides I think it's a little bit disrespectful that she gets an statue while the other students doesn't get any recognition.

2. It kind of goes against the character of Pyrrha. She didn't liked how the people put her on a pedestal so I don't think she would have liked this.

3. I don't get the unknown red haired woman's purpose. Who is she? Her mother? Sister? Her spirit watching over Jaune? We don't know since the writters didn't give us any name. What was the intention of the writters by doing that? Give mysticism to the scene? I think it makes it funny since we see a random woman talking to Jaune.

4. This scene proves that sometimes Jaune "steals screen time" from other characters. This episode should have been focused on Oscar who just found that soon or later his soul is going to be merged with the soul of Ozpin. Do we see how he faces it? No. He develops off-screen and gets a new outfit, great.

The only things I liked about this scene was the music and how Ren and Nora confronted Jaune about his self destructive nature. Once again I wanna make clear this is just my opinion. Don't forget to leave your thoughts about this.

You couldn't handle Connie Maheswaran setting healthy (and much-needed) boundaries with her best friend. You freaking called her toxic and abusive. While season 3 of Amphibia is a hot mess Sasha Waybright being upset with Marcy isn't the problem! It makes sense she'd be pissed that she found out her friend borderline kidnapped her! Even if she can be read as kind of hypocritical, I think she has every reason to be upset! She's like what 14 at the oldest? In a terrifying situation?

It's always "set healthy boundaries" until they set boundaries with your favorite baby and don't spend 100% of their time supporting them/don't forgive their friends for their actions that hurt others

I'm sorry that Steven is your woobie child and Marcy is your comfort character but Connie and Sasha have a right to their feelings and a right to focus on their needs! It's always 'don't feel guilty about focusing on your needs' except not really because apparently focusing on yourself is actually selfish and it's morally wrong to feel certain ways about people! Connie isn't toxic- she acted really mature about the whole situation and while Sasha definitely is toxic- I think she has the right to be mad her friend borderline kidnapped her and broke her trust.

I am a firm believer in setting healthy boundaries and never letting anyone decide your boundaries for you especially when it comes to being supportive. Even if the person you are helping is a good person going through a rough patch you should still have boundaries with them- you can be supportive if you want but you should be your main priority in the need and as callous as it sounds it's not mandatory to give support to everyone especially if your being worn thin

Y'know… I thought I'd hate the Jaune episode.

But it's just… I don't know.

Now that the whole show is ending because zaslav had to be a greedy-ass motherfucking zionist animation-hating kkkunt, I just…

I'm going to miss this.

What WB is doing to RT is heinous. I've seen too many shows that ended without a proper finale, and it was hard. But with RWBY… It really feels like I grew up with it.

Yeah, it had its ups and downs, the company as well, but the whole thing was a pillar of internet culture and entertainment. A lot of animators, artists, writers, gamers, and so many more people who brought us the culture of internet entertainment were inspired by Rooster Teeth.

And it's really not fair that they're getting wiped out like this.

In all honesty, I thought that it would have been bankruptcy that would have done them in, not some greedy company whose stocks are going down, but whose CEO is profiting off of all the destruction of entertainment.

It truly feels like these are the end times. And that nothing else is really going to be here at the end.

Even if people were inspired because they wanted to one-up RT in terms of how to write a racism subplot, or because they wanted a show that actually knew how to write trauma, or because they wanted to spite them in some form… They were still inspired in a way.

And then there are the people who wanted to make something that emulated what they made. Something with fantastic adventures. Something with a fun cast. Or even just something that had a lot of action to it…

Rooster Teeth, for better or for worse, was an inspiration to a lot of people. I doubt we would have gotten a resurgence of internet sketches if it weren't for them. Podcasts wouldn't be as accessible without them.

And most of all… I wouldn't have really been able to articulate my thoughts here if it weren't for them.

My problem with Emerald Sustrai

First of all, I wanna say that I like many things about Emerald: her design, weapon, semblance and her relationship with Mercury. But the reason she's not on my top of favorite characters is because I think her character development/journey... doesn't make sense. I'm saying this because in each volume she has a 180° change of personallity:

- In volume 3 we see her having doubts after watching the fall of Beacon.

- In volume 5 she says to Ruby that she doesn't care about anything but Cinder.

- In volume 6 she's having doubts again and shares them with Mercury.

- In volume 8 we see her happily helping Cinder to kill Penny, knowing that she's going against Salem's orders. And then BOOM, she joins the good guys.

This is gonna be a not very conventional critic post about rwby, but it’s one that I wanna talk about. This is specifically about how much the trains suck in rwby.

Starting off with the forever fall train, this is bad.

The wheels aren’t even on the rails ffs, how can it run then? What’s the point of having rails and wheels if they’re not even gonna touch.

The subway train also suffers from this but at least some of the wheels are on the tracks

Next is the Argus train… dear lord. This thing is so ugly, this thing looks less like an actual train and more like you asked an AI to generate a futuristic train. Now there are armoured trains in real life, they were used in WW2, but this doesn’t seem to replicate that at all, and looks so awkward and it doesn’t even look like it functions properly.

Finally the mistral train.

Oh boy, first of all the wheels are the biggest issue. The wheels are so fucked up, on real trains they have wheel flanges (the parts of the wheels that guide on the rails) they have them on the inside of the rails. In the mistral one they have flanges both on the inside and out. This would cause excessive friction on the tracks and would cause the train to move slower. Incredibly inefficient.

Secondly the cab and boiler are separated from each other. That would usually be where the firebox is. The point of a steam engine is that the firebox heats up the water in the boiler to make steam that creates pressure and moves the cylinders. The firebox being removed defeats the purpose. Also the cow catcher on the front it too high to be able to do it’s purpose which is to not run over any livestock that may stumble onto the rails. It defeats the purpose of having it.

I know this stuff doesn’t matter in the long run but as someone who’s special interest is trains, this kinda thing is important to me and I just want to talk about it
