Notes about my House of LeBeau timeline

Based on Earth-616 (the main comic timeline), but I’m willing to write it as a branch if things don’t line up

Rogue and Gambit are older parents, it took a lot of time and planning for them to feel safe having kids of their own. Rory and Reine are about 3 years apart, give or take some months.

I imagine that they had moved to Louisiana to help run a southern branch of the Institute in New Orleans, just so there isn’t just one school for all mutant kids in America

Gambit unofficially opens up his home to foster kids who are orphaned, kicked out, or otherwise can’t live at their own home. He may not consider himself a teacher, but this helps him fulfill that “dad instinct” we all know he has. Rory and Reine potentially have a lot of older foster siblings, they may not technically be Lebeaus but they’re family.

It was during this time that Rogue warmed up to the idea of having kids, but that still didn’t happen until there was finally some peace, i.e., nobody trying to exterminate mutants for a while

Destiny saw this coming, but didn’t say anything too soon to not upset Mystique or put pressure on Rogue. Their baby shower present did come suspiciously soon in the mail after Rogue and Gambit announced it though.

Rory has always been very serious about becoming an X-man, but deep down Rogue and Gambit don’t want to bring their kids into that fight. But it’s better for them to be able to defend themselves at least, right? (Insert drama here)
