the horses tend to be a little skittish from the non-stop rain, darkness, and vampires lurking in every corner - but annelise tries her best to keep ‘em from fussing about. she’s attempting to balance her family relationships, her aspiring 4.0 gpa, ballet practice, an after school job at the morgue, preparing for prom, keeping her horse doelita from escaping and running into to town, communicating with the dead whilst preparing for her dream job as a ghost hunter, and keeping her room clean - oh my!

i was thinking about making her a mischievous and rebellious teen like her half-brother terrence was, but amidst it all she’s coming up to be an anxious overachiever and perfectionist who needs to control absolutely everything she possibly can in this dark and chaotic town she lives in. all she has to help keep her peace for now is her little pink swan-shaped paddle boat she takes out on the black waters of midnight hollow’s bay.

faline decided that her black beauty unicorn, galavant (who she now despises for bucking her off his saddle) needed a friend. this is doelita. she costed a pretty penny, but seeing her angsty galavant take a liking to an doelita so quickly with him being a rather independent most of the time - it was absolutely worth it.

the perfect end to annelise’s day was meeting her mother and finally being able to show off her ballet skills, plus kitty helped her get an A on her history assignment!
