hello! robyn and i have conferred on this subject and concluded that agatha doesn't think in words or phrases. she is a wonderful creature, driven by impulse. i think her brain is all chaos and feelings and noise. like a toddler.

"Take it," she says, already moving to the ladder and planting her foot two steps up. Ava's hand darts out and grabs her sleeve, and she stops instantly, suddenly rooted to the spot.

"It's your bunk, Beatrice. Come on, I'm not going to kick you out of your bed."

"Too late," she finds herself saying, and reaches for a joke, to ease some of the tension she feels, "although using the halo as part of an elaborate bunk bed land grab was a bit extreme, wouldn't you say?"

It's a poor attempt but Ava laughs, really laughs, for the first time since the Vatican and Adriel. Beatrice feels a warm flush go through her at the sound.

The Sum Total of Living is a loose interpretation of Dante's The Divine Comedy, by way of Wynonna Earp and The Good Place. Set in the established universe of The Good Place, it imagines the crossover between Wynonna Earp's reality and the existence of a good place; a bad place; and a really very bad place—revenant hell. Although the setting is based on both shows, the cast of characters is almost entirely that of Wynonna Earp's world, and the narrative centers around two strands: Nicole Haught, trying to understand the afterlife; and Waverly Earp, trying to get back to her.

There are three parts to this story, with three chapters in each part. The nine chapters is a nod to Dante's structure, but the need to write all the chapters to the same precise word count is my own.

The Sum Total of Living by @doctoruth is my current favourite WIP. It’s just straight up art on the highest level and I have such admiration for it, and now I’m going to be stressed for the next two weeks waiting for another update but it is going to be so worth it

This fic has already made me cry twice, including with the latest update, and I am such a bundle of feelings over it. Regardless of your fandom affiliation you should read it because it is just so so amazing

So, I haven’t really been able to read a lot of fic lately. But I figured that does not mean I can’t support and signal boost! Between my brain being too weird to read or write, or it being on the right track - which is when I focus on writing Moonshine, or maybe something else the muse decides to focus on, I just haven’t been able to keep up. (unfortunately)

But here are some ones that have either updated or new fics that have come out that I’m looking forward to reading!

I’m behind on Mixtape! It’s awful. But here is the latest installment - sometimes love don’t feel like it should (a @piratekane @iamthegaysmurf production) My love for this fic runs deep.

Haught’s History has updated! This is a labor of love for @iamthegaysmurf . It’s so big and immersive it’s just crazy. I can’t even fathom the amount of work that goes into this piece. Be sure to leave lots of love here...

A couple of goodies from @youreagoodliar (AKA Half on ao3) Scars Heal, Glory Fades - those tags - hockey and a bit of soulmate? This looks fun. Just Wanna Be Somebody To Someone - I have read the first chapter here, and I’m excited for this one :)

No War Comes Cheaply by @flyingfanatic I haven’t read this one yet, don’t even know really what it’s about? But - Smurf has given this one her stamp of approval, says that we will love it, and frankly? That’s all I need. I’m excited for when I actually sit down and read this!
