i was listening to the doctor who podcast latest ep and one of the hosts comments she wanted to find the rock they are on. and i like to play on google maps so i went looking

i started looking at some of the different rocks formation on the park selected a general area, then looked up more shots so i could get more details

this one clearly shows both essex hotel and hamphire house behind them (and fairly close)

nwhen i went on 2013 to nyc i remember having my picture taken on some rocks. so i went looking. didn't find that shot but i did find others from 2019

a place called umpire rock, next to idk pools?

but that's not the only shot they use

on this one you can see the plaza behind them and the stone bridge

the stone bridge seems to be gapstow bridge

which is bordered by a rock formation and looks directly onto the plaza

from here you can also see essex hotel and hampshire house but they do look further away

so anyway if you want to recreate that scene this is where you gotta go
