Just Confess Already! Part 2
Drabbles about Genshin men (or you) confessing with the help of a wingman. This is pure fluff.
Characters: Kazuha, Kinich, Ororon, Wanderer, and Cyno.
Part 1 here.
I apologize if the endings sound abrupt, I've edited and rewritten this many times, and at this point I just want to get this finally posted. I also apologize for the length, my writing style has changed since part 1.
🍁 Kazuha
Everyone and their mother at The Crux could tell you and Kazuha had a thing for each other. The way you guys spent most of your free time in each other’s company discussing poetry or music, the way Kazuha always volunteered to help you with your tasks, how you took care of Kazuha when he got drunk, and just the overall subtle romantic tension about your pair tipped off pretty much everyone.
Though Beidou didn’t want to pry into the love lives of her crew, she’d sometimes catch glimpses of you and Kazuha chatting up in the crow’s nest of the ship and noted that the way you smiled at each other was endearing. Otherwise, she paid little attention to it, thinking it was only a matter of time until one of you confessed and you guys became an official couple.
However, that time never came. The two of you pussyfooted around the topic of laying bare your feelings, and everyone at The Crux was getting a little annoyed that you were stuck in the pining phase. There was a limit to how long Beidou could tolerate watching you give each other pining glances without snapping and telling you two to get together already.
One time when you were out on an errand, Beidou and her crew invited Kazuha for a drink. The friendly and cheerful atmosphere prompted some members to share their life stories, and the topic breached romance. Someone asked Kazuha why he hadn’t confessed to you yet, and the drunken ronin answered that he treasured your friendship and didn’t want to jeopardize it in case you didn’t feel the same way.
Beidou could only scoff at his excuse. It was so obvious that you liked him back, and since when was Kazuha such a coward? He could go up against the Raiden Shogun’s deadly Musou no Hitotachi, but had his tail between his legs at the prospect of admitting he loved you to your face? Preposterous! Moreover, she had to tell her crew to settle down because they were creating a spectacle out of your crushes on each other and making bets on which one of you would confess first (she betted on you).
If Kazuha was too much of a coward, Beidou thought, then maybe you’d be braver.
That same evening, she happened to find you alone in your cabin and took the opportunity to bring up the issue of your longtime crush on Kazuha. Though she was no expert on romance, Beidou wanted to help you. She got you to open up and confide in her, patiently listening while you expressed your fears about confessing to Kazuha. You also didn’t want to ruin the friendship you had with him, so Beidou stated outright that he returned your feelings. If you didn’t believe her, then see for yourself.
With that, she pried open a window in the cabin. Over the gentle lapping of the waves, you heard the crew’s laughter up on the deck, and the faint sound of Kazuha’s familiar voice. It was a little difficult to hear what he was saying over the crew’s chatter, and his speech was slightly slurred, but you made out a few words. He frequently spoke your name while reciting a few clumsy haikus. But they weren’t just any random poems about the sea or sky—they were love haikus.
Beidou patted your shoulder and told you to have courage instead of wasting your life wondering about what-ifs and regretting not doing anything.
Over the following days, Beidou sent you and Kazuha out on joint errands in Liyue Harbour. The errands themselves weren’t all that important, but they served as good excuses to give you two some alone time. Kazuha was no fool and quickly deduced that Beidou was setting you two up on purpose, but he wasn’t about to turn down an opportunity to spend more time with you.
Beidou hoped something would finally change by the time you returned, and sure enough, when she spotted you and Kazuha walking back to the ship, she smiled. The two of you were holding hands and smiling warmly at each other, a good sign that your once-suppressed feelings were now in the open. Naturally, the rest of the crew noticed the change as well and grew excited when you confirmed that you and Kazuha were now in a romantic relationship.
That night, they brought out the good wine and food to congratulate you and Kazuha on finally getting together. Most of the Crux’s crew joined on the festivities, with some members being nosy and asking you for details on how it happened and who confessed first.
When you admitted to confessing first, Beidou smugly accepted her winnings and took a big swig of her drink before yelling out a cheer. Her crew followed suit in toasting and cheering much to your and Kazuha’s embarrassment, but it was all in good fun. Beidou made sure to make it up to you by distracting the crew with a drinking game and sending you a wink as she allowed you and Kazuha to make a quiet escape from the party. The Crux gang would have plenty of time to tease you in the future—for now, you and Kazuha deserved to enjoy this newfound relationship without others poking their noses where they don’t belong. Beidou would make sure of it.
🟩 Kinich
Kinich’s relationship with you perplexed K’uhul Ajaw. The Almighty Dragonlord couldn’t pinpoint when it happened, but something between you two changed. Recently, Kinich had been giving you discounts whenever you asked for his help, and sometimes even did things for you for free. Kinich the Malipo giving someone special treatment? Unheard of! And on top of all that, his servant had been visiting you more frequently during downtime, and there was also that strange glint in Kinich’s eyes whenever he looked at you, something akin to endearment—
Oh.
Kinich liked you.
Oh, this was going to be good!
Ajaw’s diabolical nature wouldn’t let him keep Kinich’s feelings for you a secret. The next time you came to hang out with their duo, the saurian waved his little stubby arms and ran his mouth as soon as you were within earshot. “Hey, human! Our lowly servant has developed romantic feelings for you like some sort of prepubescent schoolboy! Isn’t that a riot?” and cackled, thinking Kinich would be thoroughly humiliated and put in his place.
To Ajaw’s dismay, instead of looking disgusted by the news, you appeared… hopeful? A tad surprised by his outburst, but was that hope shining in your eyes? To Ajaw’s even greater dismay, Kinich lacked any sort of outward reaction to having his crush on you vocalized so brazenly. Instead, the saurian hunter told you to ignore Ajaw’s nonsensical words in his usual calm manner, before smacking the pixelated menace away for a timeout. Right before he got locked away, Ajaw managed to catch a glimpse of disappointment in your eyes when Kinich brushed the situation aside as if it were nothing.
That day, K’uhul Ajaw realized that Kinich’s feelings were not one-sided like he originally thought. You liked Kinich too. The mere thought of you two acting all lovey-dovey with each other was sickening, but the saurian figured poking fun at you and Kinich would be a good source of entertainment.
After that day, Ajaw became even more insufferable. Every chance he got, he’d swoop in with a taunting remark and make fun either you, Kinich, or both.
One time while accompanying Kinich through a dense forest, you slipped on a wet tree root and were sent falling towards the ground. However, Kinich swiftly caught you and pulled you to his chest to help stabilize you. Ajaw had a field day laughing and crowing about how scandalous you were for practically throwing yourself at Kinich like that. Were you that desperate to be in his arms? Disgusting!
The saurian also used every opportunity he could find to reveal all of Kinich’s secrets to you. Did you know Kinich gave you special treatment? No? Are you blind?! Can’t you tell he does stuff for you for free? Why do you think he brings you game and wild berries free of charge every once in a while--to show off how good he is at hunting?! Have you at least noticed Kinich smiled more and acted softer towards you, or are you really that blind? He doesn’t treat anyone else that way, you know! …And so on and so forth, though most of his attempts to out Kinich are interrupted by the man himself locking Ajaw away before the dragon reveals too much.
As fun as it was to watch your pair’s awkward attempts at showing signs of affection for each other, Ajaw eventually grew frustrated with standing witness to the mutual pining that never progressed anywhere. It made the little saurian’s blood boil with annoyance.
Whenever he and Kinich were alone, Ajaw would complain that the hunter should stop being a dimwit and a coward and just confess to you already! How could he not see that you obviously liked him back?! Seriously, how bad was his luck to end up with such an imbecile for a servant?!
Kinich coolly rejected Ajaw’s insistence for confessing his feelings. It was not in his nature to recklessly rush into the unknown—he needed to carefully analyze and weigh his options before coming to a sound decision. As such, his relationship with you was not to be rushed. This didn’t sit well with Ajaw, but no matter what he said, Kinich stubbornly refused to listen.
The Dragonlord’s patience reached a breaking point during one fateful day. It was getting dark, and Kinich had offered to escort you home. Once you were safely at your doorstep, you made the bold move of kissing Kinich’s cheek in thanks. For a split moment, Ajaw swore there was palpable romantic tension between you as your and Kinich’s eyes met (gross). Kinich glanced at your lips, looking as if he wanted to lean in and kiss you (doubly gross) and Ajaw prepared himself to make disgusted gagging noises, except… nothing happened. With a seldom seen blush on his cheeks, Kinich awkwardly cleared his throat and bid you goodnight, preparing to leave.
Ajaw exploded.
“This is painful to watch! You two were clearly made for each other—both equally cowardly and blind to each other’s feelings! Just admit you like each other already; you’re not fooling anyone! Kinich, you cowardly, brainless, insufferable insect—just lean in for that kiss, you obviously want to! And you! Stop waffling and just spit out that you like Kinich already! Agh, watching you two is torture! What did the great K’uhul Ajaw do to deserve this fate?!” he yelled, turning red in the face.
Kinich promptly locked Ajaw away, for which the saurian would later chew him out once he was free, but not before interrogating you and the hunter about whether you finally confessed. Once Kinich revealed that yes, you had talked it out and admitted your mutual feelings for each other and were now in a relationship, Ajaw could finally feel some sense of peace regarding the situation.
Feeling proud of his contributions, Ajaw puffed out his chest and told you and Kinich to pucker up and kiss his feet in worship, for only with the help of the Almighty Dragonlord K’uhul Ajaw has your relationship progressed instead of stagnating like swamp water.
Though the saurian relic continued to be an annoyance, even Kinich had to admit that Ajaw played a part in getting you together. Though not in the form of worship or foot kissing, Kinich did repay the favor by procuring some quenepa berries and other fruits that Ajaw liked, hosting a small feast as a thank you. Though Ajaw complained about being scammed, the snacks did the trick of improving his mood and keeping him occupied while you and Kinich had some precious time to yourselves.
🦇 Ororon
Ever since you and Ororon were children, Citlali observed that the two of you got along well. So well, in fact, that Ororon had developed a little crush on you. He would pluck flowers from a nearby meadow to give you, follow you around like a loyal puppy, and one time, Ororon told Citlali that he hoped to marry you one day.
Citlali couldn’t help but find Ororon’s crush on you adorable, and a part of her anticipated the day when you both grew up and got married. She had no doubt you would make the sweetest couple among the Masters of the Night-Wind.
Ororon’s attraction to you persisted into adulthood. At that point, Citlali could no longer call it a cute little crush— “Love” was a more apt description for how Ororon felt towards you, even if he tried to hide the depth of his attachment to you. He was content to stay as just your friend and not risk ruining the close bond you had in case you didn’t return his feelings. Citlali was a little frustrated that Ororon continued to pine for you without doing anything about it, but she knew better than to force the stubborn boy to do something he didn’t want to. If you were both happy with the way things were, then why change them?
However, during one of her rare trips to the market for some divination supplies, Citlali overheard a conversation between two tribespeople. The topic of conversation was about love, and one of the men bashfully admitted that he thought you were pretty and that he hoped to ask you out on a date soon. This news washed over Citlali like a bucket of cold water as worry seized her heart.
This wasn’t the first time others had expressed romantic interest in you. After all, you’ve always had a bit of a reputation among the Masters of the Night-Wind for being attractive, so it wasn’t surprising others had an eye on you. However, now that you were an independent adult, it wouldn’t be strange for you to look for a partner to settle down with, right? Knowing Ororon, the dimwit wouldn’t ever think to confess, and what if someone else confessed before he did and stole your heart?
Citlali didn’t want to force you to choose Ororon, but she didn’t want things to end without her beloved grandson at least taking a shot at winning you over. The last thing she wanted was for Ororon to be left heartbroken and disappointed all because he let the chance to be with you slip from his fingers.
With these troubled thoughts, Citlali sought out Ororon and announced that he needed to stop dawdling and actively pursue you unless he wanted to watch your heart get stolen by somebody else. Citlali’s sudden proclamation confused Ororon, so she explained that he’s not the only one who is in love with you and that there’s a risk of you choosing someone else to spend your life with.
As she expected, Ororon stubbornly refused to go along with her urging, saying that who you wanted to end up with was your choice and he would respect it. Though he said that, Citlali could see it on Ororon’s face that the mere thought of you falling for someone else hurt him, and she couldn’t help but feel bad for her grandson.
After much convincing and reassurance, Citlali got Ororon to agree to court you and promised to come up with a plan to help him in this endeavour. There was, however, one major problem: how were two socially awkward outcasts supposed to win someone’s heart? Having never been courted herself, Citlali had no past experiences to draw from when designing her plan, but it shouldn’t be too hard, right? She’d read a lot of romance novels imported from Inazuma, so maybe if she got Ororon to do some of the same things the male leads did, then it would curry your favour? Regardless, it was worth a shot.
The plan was for Ororon to prove his worth as a suitable partner by giving you gifts, compliments, and always being there for you no matter what it was. In Ororon’s opinion, he was already doing all of these things for you as a friend, but Citlali insisted that his actions needed to be infused with romance to distinguish them from gestures of friendship. Her grandson was still reluctant to actively court you, but he had promised to try and try he did. Except, his approach subverted Citlali’s expectations.
When it came to giving gifts, instead of presenting jewellery, woven scrolls, or useful gadgets, the young man gifted you game he had caught in the wild and the best selection of produce from his garden. Citlali could only facepalm when Ororon told her which gifts he planned to give you, but she also knew he put genuine thought into them. Ororon handpicked the nicest veggies he could find in his garden and personally delivered them to your doorstep instead of sending Ifa like he normally would. Citlali told him that giving gifts in person held more meaning, and Ororon appeared to have taken her words to heart.
Ororon also gifted you flowers much like he did when you were little. However, this time he didn’t give you flowers plucked from the wild. Instead, he gifted you potted plants that he had also grown in his garden. “They will live and look pretty for longer,” he told you, then received a flick to the forehead once Citlali found out what he did.
His compliments were no better. Saying things like his vegetables grew better whenever you visited his home and spoke to his plants or your presence being calming for the aphids, was the best Ororon could do. Citlali admonished him for these strange compliments, but to Ororon, that was the highest praise anyone could receive. After all, you were an amazing person, and even his plants and aphids sensed it.
Ororon’s courtship was unconventional to say the least, and granny Itztli worried whether her grandson made a favorable impression on you. To help improve Ororon’s image in your eyes, Citlali sought you out more often to put in a good word for her grandson and get you to see him as a man. She highlighted Ororon’s good points to you, commenting how Ororon is a bit peculiar, but he’s also kind, resourceful, accepting, gentle, and so much more. A truly good kid. He would make an excellent romantic partner, wouldn’t you agree?
Her pushiness flustered you, but it also allowed Citlali to gauge how you felt about Ororon, and she had to contain her excitement when she pieced together that you loved him back. In her giddiness, she urged Ororon to confess.
When the day of the confession came, Citlali hid among some trees while keeping an eye on you and Ororon. She didn’t intent to spy, but the anxiety over how the confession would go made her antsy and she couldn’t sit still at home. She watched as Ororon offered you a basket of his finest produce and finally professed his love. The confession came out awkward because he tried to recite what he practiced with Citlali a few days prior, and he seemed to realize this because Ororon then took your hand and placed it against his chest. Using his own words this time, Ororon explained that he genuinely did love you, and the racing of his heart should be proof enough that you were more than just a friend in his eyes. However, it was alright if you didn’t feel the same way about him.
Citlali had to clamp her hands over her mouth to hold back from squealing in giddiness as she watched you reciprocate Ororon’s feelings. She would later apologize for spying since she knew it was wrong, but it filled her with joy to witness the blossoming of love between you. In some ways, this was better than any romance novel she had read in all her years of living, and it warmed her heart to see you both so happy.
Even if it was a childhood fantasy, perhaps Ororon’s wish of marrying you was not that far off now? Citlali certainly hoped so.
☂️ Wanderer
Nahida was no expert on romance, but she had observed enough couples during her 500-year-long imprisonment to know what romantic attraction looked like. The strange air surrounding you and Wanderer must have been that, she speculated, as she watched Wanderer hand you a box of your favorite foods with the flimsy excuse of having made too much. For your part, you seemed genuinely touched by the gesture despite Wanderer’s grumbling, much to Nahida’s delight. Wanderer’s prickly personality pushed some people away, but not you. You stayed by his side and gave him the companionship he needed, helping Wanderer open up and heal from his trauma.
It was clear you deeply cared for the young man, and a little peek into your mind confirmed to Nahida that yes, you did love him romantically. She couldn’t read Wanderer’s mind since he blocked all her attempts to do so, but she didn’t need mindreading to conclude that he loved you too.
When she next spoke with Wanderer, she carefully asked if he loved you. Wanderer’s response was a gruff “No” and “Stop asking”, however Nahida could tell he wasn’t being honest with his feelings. If he didn’t love you, then why did he treat you differently compared to everyone else? His manner of speech is gentler when with you, and despite all his grumbling he still complies with all your requests no matter how irritating he may find them. Not to mention, he spends most of his free time in your company, goes out of his way to make you little gifts and cook your favorite dishes. Surely all these behaviours were proof that you were someone special to him?
Being effectively cornered, the puppet had no choice except to come clean about his hidden feelings. With scowl and a blush on his cheeks, Wanderer reluctantly admitted that yes, he likes you, but it was none of Nahida’s business and she’d better stay out of it.
Despite Wanderer’s warning, the Dendro Archon wanted to help get you together. She felt confident that if both of you put in a little effort, a beautiful romance could blossom between you. Still, she didn’t want to outright reveal your feelings for each other. She believed that each of you should relay these intimate feelings yourselves. All Nahida would do is give you a gentle nudge in the right direction.
To help her with this task, Nahida sought help from a few Aranara and asked them to keep an eye on you and Wanderer and report any meaningful details that could help her bring you together. Through her little helpers, Nahida learned the full extent of Wanderer’s affections for you, and she couldn’t help but smile at how sweet he was, especially when it came to you.
Using this acquired knowledge, the Dendro Archon frequently brought up Wanderer in your conversations with her to explain the thoughtfulness behind some of his gifts and words. For as frank as he usually was with people, Wanderer was more close-lipped about the true extent of his feelings, so Nahida had some work cut out for her in making you realize how much he truly cared about you.
For example, the next time Wanderer gave you your favorite food with the excuse that he’d made too much, Nahida revealed to you that he actually spent several days perfecting the recipe before finally giving the dish to you.
That hand-made bracelet he gifted you, saying he got it for free during an arts and crafts event he visited? Wanderer actually made it himself during that event and used beads of your favorite colors. The Aranara watched him spend a lot of time crafting that bracelet with the greatest care, but Nahida left that part out.
In addition, she would subtly drop hints for you to invite Wanderer to hang out more often. For example, the Zubayr Theater was hosting a play and Nahida heard there was a discount if you bought two tickets. Why don’t you go and invite Wanderer to come with you?
As for Wanderer, she discreetly told him that you once mentioned wanting to try out a new drink at Puspa Cafe but had nobody to go with, so why not be a good friend and take you there himself? Wanderer initially objected, but ultimately caved in and invited you to the Café while commenting that a certain annoying sprout said you wanted to try a new drink there, though deep down he glad for the opportunity to spend more time with you. Nahida could tell by the way Wanderer went out of his way to spoil you that day, buying you anything you wanted and keeping you company until the sun set.
Little by little, Nahida softened Wanderer towards the possibility of being in a romantic relationship with you, and helped you gather the courage to confess. Wanderer was unlikely to ever confess first, so the responsibility rested on your shoulders. She could tell you were nervous about laying bare your feelings, but she reassured you that things would go well. You only needed to take that leap of faith.
When you finally confessed, Nahida and the Aranara secretly observed the scene from behind a nearby corner, curious to see how things would go while also quietly cheering you on (not that you knew). When a flustered Wanderer accepted your confession, Nahida was overjoyed. She had fun guiding both of you towards this moment, but the satisfaction of knowing you could finally be together the way you always wished was rewarding in its own way. Even when Wanderer later confronted her about spying on you during your confession and scolded her for it, the little Archon’s happiness didn’t wane. She looked forward to seeing what your newfound relationship would blossom into, and had no doubt it would be something beautiful and pure, just like your love for each other.
👁️🗨️ Cyno
It was no secret to Tighnari that you and Cyno liked each other. He had known about your mutual crushes as far back as your student days at the Akademiya where you first met. You became fast friends with him and Cyno, but Tighnari couldn’t help but think Cyno was a bit more special to you than you let on. After all, you were one of the few who wasn’t intimidated by Cyno’s perpetual stern facial expressions and actively sought him out, and who actually laughed at his lame jokes.
Tighnari also knew about Cyno’s crush on you since his friend confided about it to him. Not that Cyno needed to say anything because Tighnari could see his attraction to you clear as day. Cyno’s eyes lit up whenever he saw you in the distance, he tried to act “cooler” in your presence in an attempt to impress you, and Tighnari swore that if Cyno had a tail, it would have wagged like a dog’s every time you laughed at his jokes.
Though he knew about your mutual romantic attraction to each other, Tighnari didn’t want to stick his nose into your love lives. He figured you guys would resolve everything yourselves in due time.
However, nothing changed even after you guys graduated. Your group remained close friends and saw each other regularly, but Tighnari was starting to lose his patience with how you and Cyno hopelessly pined for each other. He had already lost count of the number of times each of you came to him for advice on how to win the other over.
Cyno asked Tighnari’s opinion on a lot of things: Would you like his newest joke? Would you be okay with Cyno volunteering to be your bodyguard for your upcoming desert excursion? Which of his limited edition TCG cards best represented you? Cyno wanted to express how much you meant to him by giving you a card that reminded him of you.
You were no better. Tighnari had lost count of the number of times you approached him with questions about Cyno’s work schedule. Your excuse was that you wanted to plan hangouts with him, Collei, and Cyno during their days off, but Tighnari knew there was another reason why you asked about Cyno’s schedule in particular. He had half a mind to tell you to ask Cyno yourself because it was obvious that you just wanted to spend more time with the General Mahamatra. You also pestered Tighnari with questions about Cyno’s TCG deck. Much like his friend, you wanted to express your appreciation for Cyno by giving him cards he didn’t have yet.
Seriously, you two were a match made in heaven…
Tighnari would have found your mutual crushes on each other endearing, if only he wasn’t stuck being the middleman. As it stood, Tighnari wanted nothing more than to throttle both of you for pussyfooting around your feelings and getting him caught up in being your messenger. He was on the brink of snapping and sitting you both down to explain that your feelings were mutual, so just hurry up and get together already.
That’s why the next time Cyno approached him with another question about you, Tighnari took the opportunity to convince his friend to confess. He and Collei assured Cyno that you liked him a lot, and urged him to tell you his feelings. Cyno was hesitant but did seem to want some closure about whether you liked him back or not, so Tighnari gave him an incentive. How about the next time he played TCG with you, you guys set some stakes? Why not have a rule that the loser must tell the winner a secret? If Cyno lost, he would have to confess.
Cyno wasn’t fond of the idea initially, but agreed after some contemplation, acknowledging that this method would be effective in giving him that necessary push. Still, Tighnari could tell Cyno was nervous about confessing, so he volunteered to come along as moral support, much to Cyno’s gratitude.
That was how Tighnari and Collei found themselves at Puspa Cafe, sitting a few tables away from you and Cyno, hidden from your line of sight. Tighnari tutored Collei while Cyno played that fateful round of TCG against you, but the Forest Ranger kept a close eye on his friend. Though he didn’t want to get too invested in Cyno’s love life, even he couldn’t help but grow anxious as he watched the TCG match end with Cyno’s loss.
Although Tighnari was too far away to hear what Cyno was saying, he could tell the moment of confession had come. Now, the ball was in your court.
You looked stunned by whatever Cyno said, but soon smiled and said something that made Cyno mirror the happy expression on your face and reach out to hold your hand. Though he couldn’t hear, Tighnari knew you had reciprocated his feelings. Even Collei quietly fawned over how cute you both looked. It had been a long journey, but he was truly happy for his friend. Out of everyone, Cyno was happiest with you, and Tighnari hoped you would continue to make him happy for many years to come.
With everything ending well, Tighnari beckoned Collei and discreetly left the cafe before you or Cyno noticed. As happy as he was for you guys, he dreaded the possibility of Cyno coercing them into a TCG match. With how elated his friend must be right now, it was only a matter of time until Cyno called him and Collei over for a new game to celebrate you accepting his feelings. In Tighnari’s opinion, you guys deserved to have some proper time to yourselves to explore your feelings and new relationship without him and Collei serving as thirdwheels. That, and he just really didn’t want to sit through another hour of watching Cyno show off for you.

When you get back to your on-campus apartment, you went straight into your room to take down the photos you had up of you and Zach, pulling a random old shipping box out from your recycled area to shove things into.
The drive back to campus was pretty smooth. You blasted Gracie Abrams and Maisie Peters on repeat, and your mind went into autopilot.
So, Zoey Miller was his girlfriend. That was pretty rich, considering you didn’t even realize when you stopped being his girlfriend. Didn’t even realize a guy as soft as Zach MacLaren had a mean bone in his body to be able to do something like this to you. You went to his house that morning half ready to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe something came up, maybe he lost his phone, maybe last minute his parents decided for it to be a family-only trip and took his phone from him in the name of “reconnecting with nature” and so he was never given the chance to inform you.
But then his mother said those words, she said that Zoey Miller was Zach’s girlfriend.
You had pulled most of his sweaters that you’d had from your closet, throwing them into the box, by the time there was obnoxiously loud knocking at your front door. You had no plans, no one who was supposed to be coming over, so you paused for a moment to see if maybe your roommate, Bree, was home or not. When you didn’t hear any movement from her side of the apartment and the knocking persisted, you let out a frustrated sigh, walking over to the peephole.
You rolled your eyes at the sight of him. What, he felt bad that he got caught and drove himself all the way back to school to finally have that talk with you in person. Between the few moments it took for you to open the door, your mind raced with all the different cliche breakup lines he could give you.
“I’m sorry, I just wasn’t feeling the spark between us anymore.”
“Let me explain…”
“I didn’t mean for this to be how you found out.”
“It’s not what it looks like.” Yeah, as if his mother confirming that Zoey Miller was Zach’s girlfriend wasn’t exactly what it looked like.
And more and more, until you finally wrapped your hand around the doorknob, unlocking the top latch, and swinging it open to look at him. He towered over you, guilt etched into his face and a small cut on his lip where you could only imagine he had bit over and over as he contemplated how to let you down softly on his ride over.
You peered out into the hallway, half expecting Zoey Miller to be outside, looking at you with those same eyes of remorse, but you only saw Zach’s luggage by your door and redness under his blue eyes.
“What?” you asked, your voice coming out in a hushed, annoyed whisper, holding the door open just enough so that he can see you.
“Let me explain,” he pleaded, his voice raspy. So, we were going with the scripted breakup line number 2.
He paused for a second, but when he saw that you weren’t going to step back to let him inside of your apartment, he locked eyes with you. One thing about Zach MacLaren? He was very good at making intense eye contact. He licked his lips and sighed, as if searching for what else to say with his excuse.
As you waited for his lips to continue moving, you thought of what he could say next.
“...it just sort of happened.”
“...I didn’t mean to fall for her.”
“...can we stay friends?”
But instead, what came out of his mouth was, “I got hit by a car.”
Your annoyed facial expressions dropped into a confused one, squinting at him in reaction to his words. Your chin moved closer to your neck as your head moved backwards in confusion. Your lips curled upwards, not in a smile, but in a bewildered grimace.
“I’m sorry, you got what by a what?” you asked, baffled.
He was staring back at you, so so so serious. He pulled a folded up paper out of his pocket, holding it out in your direction.
“My after visit summary from the emergency room on Friday,” he mumbled.
He got hit by a car on Friday? you thought to yourself, wondering how he was going to use his, “I got hit by a car” as reasoning for taking another girl as his girlfriend to a family ski trip that he had invited you on, first.
“Patient Zachary MacLaren is a 21 year old male who was brought in after a collision of a moving car with his bicycle occurred. At onset, he did lose consciousness for a few minutes, before regaining consciousness before the paramedics arrived. No sprains or broken limbs or joints have been sustained in the incident. Patient has some swelling to the left side of his skull. Tests and examinations are concurrent with a diagnosis of a concussion and anterograde amnesia.”
Anterograde amnesia, you learned that in one of her psychology courses last semester. Short term memory loss.
“Are you telling me you have amnesia?” you asked him, holding the paper up after you’re done reading it.
“Yes—No, had. I had amnesia,” he stuttered out while nodding his head.
“So you don’t have amnesia right now?” you asked to clarify.
He shook his head and rounded his lips in a pucker and put his hands behind his back, swaying a little. “No amnesia right now.”
You blink a few times, still lost on what and how this was connecting to him bringing a different girlfriend on his family ski trip.
“And did this amnesia make you lose your goddamn mind and bring some random girl with you to a ski trip?” you asked, trying to find the connection here.
Though, you do feel really bad he got hit by a freaking car, and then he got amnesia, that sucks. You wished you had been there to help him with that.
“No, no, see, what had happened,” he started to explain, putting his hands out to grab onto your upper arms and crouch a little down to your level so he could stare you in the eyes again. “I thought she was you.”
“Excuse me?”
He licked his lips, turning his head to the side as if to say, “I know.” He sighed and continued with his story, “After I got hit with the car, she was there.”
“Zoey was there with you when you got hit by this car? Why was Zoey with you?” you questioned.
“She works at the bookstore.”
“The bookstore,” you repeat after him with a nod, trying to keep track of all the different ways this story was branching out. “The one with the book on Battletoads.”
“Well, no,” he shook his head. “I had to get her to order me a book on Battletoads for Idiots because they didn’t have any in stock.” Then, he shook his head again when he realized you two were getting off track. He let go over her, using his hands to motion around and talk. “Point is, I left my credit card.” He points to his side to emphasize leaving his credit card. “She came outside to give it to me, I turned around to look at her,” and he mimicked how he looked at her, peering over his shoulder. “And a car didn’t see me, I didn’t see the car,” he pointed to himself and then down, before making a hitting motion with his palm, “and bam! I go flying onto the pavement.”
You’re just nodding along with his entire story, waiting for him to finally give you that missing puzzle piece that could make it all make sense.
“And then when I woke up, she was there crouching in front of me. My brain was all mushy,” he made circular motions around his head. “And I knew her name was Zoey, and I somehow could remember that I called you Zoey a few times… and I… uh…” he looked more sheepish as he got to this part of the story. “In my moment of anterograde amnesia—that means short term memory loss by the way—”
“I know,” you said, and if this was any other time, you may have laughed at the way he over pronounced “anterograde amnesia” and looked so proud of himself for knowing the term, a small smile on his face.
“—I may have thought she was.. you,” he trailed off as he said this part, looking guilty. “I just… I don’t know how,” he put his hands up and them down in exasperation, practically breathing out his words. “I don’t know how I thought she was you, baby, I don’t. But then you came to my parents’ house, and I saw you drive away, and it all… I knew she wasn’t you.”
You just nod as you process the information. This sounded like some cheaply made romance plot, that one look at you and his amnesia would wear off. There was a lot of information processing that was happening at this point.
You were pulled from your thoughts at the sound of footsteps, seeing a group of girls walking through the hallway, some of your various neighbors. They looked over at you and Zach, and you knew how this looked. The serious look on your face, the luggage, the pleading one on his. They probably thought they were watching a breakup between a tutor girl and the college’s soccer star.
You opened the door wider, not wanting anyone to somehow overhear the conversation. You stepped aside for him. “Come in.”
He smiled, hopeful, and rolled his luggage and walked himself into your apartment.
You two went straight for the kitchen, him just following you as you said nothing back to his explanation. You went straight to the coffee machine, and as you brewed yourself some espresso, Zach went to your fridge, pulling out the creamer he knew was yours and not your roommates, you know, since he didn’t have amnesia anymore.
You stood there in silence for a little while, leaning against the kitchen counter as you sipped your latte, having made one for him after yours.
“So… you thought she was me…” you finally talk, and he’s standing across from you with a guilty nod. “Do we really look alike?”
“No! No! You’re like… a superstar, and she’s… not you,” he said with a nervous laugh, unable to insult Zoey Miller just to bring you up.
And that was fine with you. You didn’t need or want him insulting her. Just wanted to know if you two looked similar enough that he could mix you guys up in an amnesia concussion haze.
“So it was just because her first name is also my middle name?” you questioned.
“I know, it sounds stupid, I don’t… I don’t really know how to explain it.”
You nodded your lips forming a line.
“So… she just… pretended to be me?” you questioned, thinking about how insane that sounded. “For what? Revenge for hitting her in the end with that soccer ball?”
He laughed at your questions, the way you sounded so irritated at not being able to understand Zoey Miller.
You continued with your little rant, “I mean, I heard that girl is anti-romantic, so what? Did she have some secret crush on you or something? Had to strike while I wasn’t around, and you didn’t know any better?”
“She had a crush on Miles, actually,” he said with raised eyebrows. “Kissed him in the pool while I was sleeping and everything.”
Your eyes widened, and you let out an unbelievable laugh.
“And Miles just… let her? Thinking she was you girlfriend? And wait, what about Emily?” you asked, putting the cup down on the counter. Loving Zach was knowing about all of the people he loved, too, which meant knowing his cousin Miles was dating a nice girl named Emily. “Sorry, but your cousin’s an asshole! Cheating on her with the girl he thought was cheating on you while she was pretending to be me!”
Your voice kept raising as you got riled up on his behalf, and he couldn’t help but let a small smile stay on his face because of it.
The more information you got, the more insane this whole story sounded. But he smiled at your reaction, the way your facial features were showing less and less that you were mad at him. He really hoped you weren’t mad at him.
“Apparently, they’re poly.”
“Doesn’t mean you are,” you retort back, walking to where he was to stand next to him.
You let out a deep exhale, leaning your head against his arm as you two stood against the kitchen island.
“It felt wrong, the entire time,” he said softly, squatting down a little bit so he could lean his head on top of yours as well. “Like I knew deep down she didn’t really like me. Like she didn’t even know me, and that I didn’t really know her. She said she was a computer science major and that made no sense to me, since we met because you were my English tutor. She had all these hobbies I don’t remember you ever liking. Wouldn’t let me hold her hand, spent most of her time with Miles instead of me since they could go out on the slopes and I couldn’t because, ya know, mushy brains,” he sighed. “And then, she found out about Emily and got mad at him. Then, she finally spent the day with me.”
Despite being upset that some other girl went on the MacLaren ski trip instead of you, you couldn’t help but feel bad that Zach spent the entire weekend with an inkling feeling that his girlfriend—or who he thought was his girlfriend—didn’t even like him.
He keeps talking, just expressing how the weekend felt and how things had gone.
“And it was sad coming back, you know?” he sighed. “I mean, I spent all of yesterday thinking I was having so much fun re-getting to know her, feeling like we were finally having a connection, feeling really good about it… just for it all to be a lie.”
You frowned and took your head off of his arm, making him move straight as well.
“You felt like you and Zoey had a connection?” you asked softly.
His face contorted in concern at his misstep.
“Wha—No. No, baby, no,” he moved to turn in front of you, his arms going to hold yours. “It wasn’t real. It’s not real.”
“But a part of you really liked getting to spend time with her,” you point out softly, looking away. “So much so that it was disappointing when you came home and it was… me that’s your girlfriend, and not her.”
“Don’t put words in my mouth,” Zach said softly, shaking his head, trying to lead down closer to you to get you to look at him. “I’m not disappointed that I came home and there was you.”
“But you were disappointed that your weekend with Zoey was built on a fake premise,” you said back. “And not entirely because she lied to you, but because you felt a connection to her.”
“No!”
“Zach.”
“Okay, fine, yes. I admit that I was… feeling something towards her on this trip, but baby, I thought she was my girlfriend.”
“So, you’d date her?” you hated yourself for somehow twisting it the way you were, but a part of you was just hurt that this happened, hurt to know he spent the weekend falling for someone else, regardless of why and how. “In a different world where I don’t exist to you, you’d fall for her. Because you did. This weekend.”
A permanent frown etched into his face at your words.
“But you do exist in this world,” he whispered, pleading.
“Did you kiss her?”
It’s not fair, you know it’s not fair to be jealous or upset. Zoey practically catfished and scammed and lied and pretended to be someone she wasn’t. But she didn’t pretend to be you in the sense of your personality. Zach said it himself, she sounded so unlike you, with a different major, different personality, different hobbies. And despite that, he liked her.
“I thought she was you,” he reiterated, saying “yes” to your question without the word itself.
“You thought she was your girlfriend, not that she was me,” you denied, shaking your head and moving from your spot trapped between Zach and the kitchen island.
The pleading in his eyes could haunt you.
“You didn’t think she was me personally. You just thought you were with her. And you liked being with her, for her personality and her hobbies and just her,” you said softly.
Every part of you was screaming at you to take your words back, to stop yourself from talking. You knew it was irrational to be upset at him for something he had no control over. He had amnesia for crying out loud. But there was no rationalizing this situation.
There was no rulebook telling you how to react and respond to finding out some girl pretended to be your amnesia patient of a boyfriend’s girlfriend. There was no guide on how to take in and process him openly admitting that while she was so drastically different from you, he was starting to really like her.
“I’m sorry this happened, Zach,” you said softly, your bottom lip wobbling. “It’s not fair, and it really really sucks.”
He just stared at you, tears forming in his eyes as if he knew what you were about to say. His chin wobbled, and it pushed you over the edge, too. A string of tears fell from your own eyes.
“But I’m really hurt right now, and I don’t mean to be upset with you because I know… I know it’s not your fault. I know you didn’t mean for this to happen,” you admit, wiping your tears on the back of your wrists.
He steps forward to try and comfort you. You step back.
“But I need time to…” you suck in a breathe and lick your lips as you try to figure out what it was that you needed from him. “I need time to process this all… process that you were starting to fall for someone else.”
“Baby…” he begged you not to do this with one single word.
“Please,” you pleaded back. “Just… please.”
And how could he deny you, the one he loved so much, the one thing you were asking of him right now?
“Okay,” he whispered and nodded, a singular tear falling down his face as he forced himself to listen to you.
And that look on his face really felt like it could haunt you.

a/n: so i realized i have messed up the movie’s timeline, remembering that it started on valentine’s day, not december LOL, but soccer season for college is august-november for actual competitions and spring time for non-competition training and games… and I’m also from California so while I knew some schools have like “ski week” breaks in february (we always just called it president’s week break), it absolutely skipped my mind that that is a thing LOL. in this story it is a few weeks before holiday break lol.

#golden classic #i wonder if this is why their ship was called timecock at some point #<- genuine question btw. why? #this post looks like the culprit [ @schwirrymartz ]
Hello to you, and I'm going to tag in the probably-5-time-reblogger of this post @roxannepolice too! Here I am, a ghost from Doctor/Master livejournal c. 2007-2011, bringing you news about Historic Shitposting! I'm also going to tag in @nostalgia-tblr whose images these originally are.
Short answer: the name came from a bunch of Doctor/Master shippers on livejournal in summer 2007, shortly after Utopia/Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords aired. Ten and Simm specifically were "Team Timecock," as the last two time lords in existence, linked sexily and tragically by their boners for each other. The shitpost above is from one of many, many shitposts that summer that used the name for the two of them.
Shorter answer: Nos thinks it was probably Snowgrouse, specifically, and that sounds right to me too.
The name "Team Timecock" is highly post-s3 relevant, fandom-wise, because Ten/Simm were ~the only ones left~ and one of the immediate and obvious fix-its for the season was "the Master lives, they really do travel together." Or "they were alone on the Valiant all year, properly cocking it up, overly self-importantly, time lord-style." Either way, it's just the two of them and, you know, they're touching tips. Or having buttsecks, since it's 2007, and also shut up, their anuses might as well be self-lubricating because we get to use alien powers to do it.

citations:
First, a caveat: I came to the game a few months late, was not personally interacting with a lot of the people and communities I've cited; certainly I wasn't IMing people or emailing them (which is how you did it. back then). I was at the shallowest level for a lot of this, "leaving some comments." But my memory is good, and I know how to use LJ still. My handle was srevans back then.
Poking around LJ is hard as hell these days: the site is sloww while it's scraping your data/selling it to the highest ad bidder (and the ad provider isn't google! your adblockers aren't helping much!); and LJ hides so much from you on an entry-by-entry basis if you're not logged in. If you want to poke around to see what fandom looked like there and then, I'd suggest the following communities. I've linked to their June 2007 archives pages since the s3 finale aired June 16th, 23rd, and 30th.
slash_lords
sizeofthatthing – the general Doctor Who kinkmeme
best_enemies (my once and forever home)
and its specifically Doctor/Master kinkmeme, which is all versions of the pairing, not just Ten/Simm
new_who, who-daily – general communities
slash communities which are gone, gone, deleted from internet history: dw_slash, dw_yaoi, timecock, timeslash
ihasatardis – THE context for this image. The community was for lolspeak image macros from any and all episodes of Doctor Who. you know, because You Can Has Cheezburger.
The earliest public entry I can find for the word "timecock" specifically is a couple LJ icons snowgrouse created: (1) "twice the timecock" over a promo photo of Ten+Simm looking very srs biz and (2) a blue background with subtle Gallifreyan spiral writing whose text is merely "Timecock tiem."
///
And that's all she knows. If you're on this post and I can find anything else on LJ for you, please let me know! And anybody in the wild who knows more and wants to add on, please do.
just a reminder that nos wins at shipping.

Wow. 500 of you. That number feels surreal, especially after everything these past few months. (Don't scroll away there's a surprise at the bottom of the post.)
In July, I faced harassment over a rumor about being hired as a TSAMS writer. In August and September, it escalated—stalking, harassment, and widespread slander over SolarNexus, a ship I don’t even ship. October brought betrayal as someone I trusted turned out to be a predator, slandering our friend group, faking their death, and running away upon confrontation. Last month, I had to take a stand against someone sharing NSFW with minors, leading to more slander and harassment.
Now it’s December, and honestly, fandom discourse feels inevitable. But you know what? I don’t care.
This community has been so supportive to me throughout this. I have grown close with friends, made new ones, and gained so many supporters and I don't know how to say thank you enough. I've reached so many of my goals for this year, and there's always going to be more work to do.
I'm starting a new fic. I'm updating my old ones. I'm making art for a voice actor. I'm a mod in the community server. And I'm finally working on a project again that I started in August.
I’ve been really hesitant to show this project off on main, beyond reblogging things here and there. I won’t reveal which character I specifically play—though it probably wouldn’t be hard to guess.
This project started as a way to support the mod who plays Lunar, who was receiving harassment simply for enforcing their boundaries. Yes, you read that right—they were harassed because they didn’t want to post negative confessions. When we saw that happening, my friends and I got together, and I said, “Haha, wouldn’t it be so cool if we just made a bunch of confession blogs to dunk on the haters and roleplay and shit?”
Within 24 hours, two new blogs popped up. One hasn’t done anything to hurt me, so I won’t name them, but we all know who they are. The second? Biased-tsams-confessions—a blog that was one of the leading forces behind the harassment I faced in August. They would flip their lid if they knew I was the leading force behind TSBS CVAU and remain its head administrator and manager. Honestly? That makes me even prouder of this project.
Of course, I couldn’t do this alone. A huge thank you to my partner in crime, @lyrical-hue, who has been my rock throughout this journey. They’ve helped smooth out the bumps along the way, making sure I don’t handle everything solo.
I’m so excited to finally share this project with my fanbase publicly. We’re expanding our world and currently looking for new members to join the group! If you’re interested, you can apply here:
Okay so now the real question. How am I celebrating this milestone? The past two times I made a post like this I did a raffle (one of which I'm still finishing the artwork for). This time I'd like to do something different.
I want to make some free emotes for the community. My community. To give back some of the support I've been given.
To be applicable for this, reblog this post with references of your character designs, AU designs, OCs, or sonas. As many as you want. They can be your own characters, or personal designs for preexisting characters. Or even just. Characters. I will literally just take canon designs of characters too. I'll even take requests for my own designs. As you can see there are a LOT of emotes there, so I need a LOT of characters from the community.
RULES:
Characters must be submitted through REBLOGS
You do not get to choose which emote is made, I do, I'm doing this for free after all
You HAVE to be following me, this is an event to celebrate my followers after all.
And uh, yeah that's kinda it. If you want to join the discord you can join here:

⇢ word count: 37.8k total (22.7k & 15.1k) ⇢ genre: sci-fi/science fantasy au, soulmate au, alien!jungwoo, human!reader, slow burn, fluff and angst ⇢ warnings: blood/injury mentions, a couple needle/injection mentions, if u get secondhand embarrassment this one might hurt in places ⇢ extra info: this is the second part of a two-part fic, you need to read the first part to know what’s going on! this was released in two parts bc of tumblr’s 1000-block limit that was put in place to hurt me personally :)) ⇢ author’s note: and here’s part two! ⇢ part one
“What did I say before, hm? Finders keepers,” you declared, grabbing his other hand. “You’re not going to die as long as I have something to say about it.”
The screen of your phone lit up from where it sat on the dashboard of Jungwoo’s spaceship, and you immediately grabbed it. It was Donghyuck, and at this point, you would’ve taken your bestie ‘SPAM LIKELY’ to get you out of here.
“Hey, it’s Hyuck, you got it here?” You asked Jungwoo, already on your feet.
“Yes, I’ll be okay,” Jungwoo confirmed, eyes momentarily leaving the screen to meet yours.
You clambered out of the hatch with haste, taking off into the trees. Hastily sending Donghyuck a text that you’d call him back in a minute, you practically bolted back up the cliffside to get to the road before doing just that.
Hyuck picked up before it could even ring once, not wasting any time, “Hey, how’s our pet alien?”
“He has a name,” you retorted, still out of breath.
“He doesn’t seem to mind when I call him that.”
“He probably doesn’t understand how derogatory it could be. His language might not have a direct equivalent for the concept.”
“Yeah, whatever, how is he?”
“Fine. All of his wounds have healed.”
Your friend’s tone immediately shifted. “You sound weird. What’s going on?”
“Nothing!” You insisted.
“Y/N.”
“Promise not to tell anyone?”
“Sure.”
And so after explaining your situation to Donghyuck to the best of your ability, you waited with bated breath for his response.
“Oh my God, he’s going to lay his eggs in you,” he gasped.
“Hyuck! Gross!” You hissed, half-ready to hang up right then.
“I’ve seen enough alien movies to know where this is going.”
“Or watched too much weird porn.”
“You didn’t laugh at my joke, clearly you’re in crisis, sorry.” His apology sounded sincere.
You sighed, staring down into the trees below you that you knew contained a spaceship and spaceman that weren’t from here, that didn’t belong here. “I mean, he’s still fixing his ship to leave…”
“What if he plans on abducting you and taking you with him?”
“Stop it!” You scolded him again. “Jungwoo wouldn’t do that.”
“You seriously think he’ll just leave his mate behind?”
“You are way too comfortable saying that word.”
“This is not about my nighttime proclivities.”
“If I told him to, yeah, I think he would. He’s been super respectful, all things considered.”
“Okay… whatever…”
You were worried. Jungwoo had continued fixing his ship, but with each passing day, you swore he was looking worse again. He said his wounds had completely healed inside and out, but the pallor of his skin didn’t look right, he was moving slower again, and he didn’t eat as much at meals. You took a risk and took him there during the day today, not wanting to risk drawing out his stay on Earth any longer than necessary.
Just getting him down to the ship today was perilous, as he tripped going down the last of the hillside. A rock had cut his arm, thankfully not very deep, but the sight of the deep blue blood did nothing to calm your anxious mind. He let you take a second to use a first aid kit in the ship on him, but then was right back to business as usual, fixing his ship.
“How’s it coming along?” You asked, hovering over him worriedly as he sat on the floor, working on a panel under the control console.
“It’s almost done,” he informed you quietly.
“Jungwoo, you don’t look okay.”
“I’m fine.”
“Is it the hydrogen? Or something else that you can’t get on Earth?” You went to press the back of your hand to his forehead. It was sticky with sweat, but simultaneously cold and clammy. “Shit, dude, you feel awful.”
“I’m—I’ll be fine.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I just need to get back to-to Galaria.”
“Okay, yeah,” you nodded. “Let’s get you back. You said it’s almost done. What else do you need?”
“One of your friends is a mechanic?”
“Yeah, Yuta. He fixes cars.” You were slightly alarmed that he apparently couldn’t remember which one.
Jungwoo held out a long, thin black tube to you. “Could you ask him if he has something like this? Twice as long?”
“Of course! I'll go right now!” You took the tube from him. “You stay right here. Rest, okay?”
He nodded, leaning against the panel and shutting his eyes.
You ran into Yuta’s auto shop, skidding to a stop and nearly crashing into a bench and toolbox, drawing the attention of everyone in the shop. Every head whipped over to look at you, and Yuta pushed himself out from under a truck on the far side of the shop.
“Yuta!” You dashed over to him, ignoring the attempts at conversation from his coworkers as you ran by them.
“Off-limits, assholes!” Yuta yelled back at them before focusing on you again, grabbing a rag to wipe his hands off. “Y/N, what are you doing here?”
“It’s Jungwoo, he needs something like this, but double the length.” You held the tube out to him. “Do you have anything like it? I’ll pay for it.”
Yuta inspected it with a furrowed brow, and you dropped your voice even lower as the sounds of the auto shop rose again.
“Please, he’s-he’s really not doing well. I don’t know how much longer he can be here, Yuta. Something about Earth, it’s not good for him. I’m really worried.”
“Yeah, I would be if I were you.” Yuta handed the tube back to you, then crossed his arms over his chest. “I gave him a part just like that two days ago. He said it was the last piece he needed.”
“What?!” Your heart fell to the pit of your stomach.
“I gave him a new brake hose two days ago. Unless he blew it up again, this isn’t it.”
“I’ve got to go.” You took off towards the door of the garage. “Bye, Yuta! Thanks!”
“See you around!”
Something wasn’t right. You could feel it in the pit of your stomach as you looked down at the brake hose in your hands. You could feel it in the deep rumble of the pavement under your feet as you ran down the shoulder of the highway back towards the ship. You could feel it in your lungs as you sucked in air that smelled oddly smoky. There was no caution in your movements as you took the familiar path down into the trees. Sirens followed behind you from all directions, converging on the same place as you. But you had gotten there before them.
The ship pulsated with an energy you had never seen before, no longer dull dark metal, but thrumming with power, colorful bursts of light jumping from panel to panel. The reactors at the back that you had watched Jungwoo rebuild with his own two hands roared to life.
No friends to grab you and hold you back now. It was only you.
You lunged for the button that you knew would extend the ladder, throwing the hose to the ground so you could have two free hands to scramble up the side of the ship. At the cockpit, you held onto the top rung of the ladder as the ship jerked and lifted off the ground. You desperately hit the other button to open the glass hatch, dropping into the cockpit and pulling the dome shut with you.
Jungwoo was crumpled in a heap on the ground in front of the controls, not even in a seat. Thankfully, he took a small, shallow breath. The ship accelerated, throwing the both of you across the cockpit. You swore as your head impacted with the wall, and Jungwoo grunted as he hit another panel.
“What the hell is your problem, Jungwoo?” You chastised him as you rolled him over. “You tell me you’ve imprinted on me, then send me off on a wild goose chase so that you can leave without saying goodbye? And then you fucking pass out?”
“Y/N?” He mumbled, slowly blinking a couple times as he looked up at you. “That’s… you?”
“Yes, you dumbass,” you scoffed, pulling his head onto your lap as you were truly just relieved to see his eyes open again. “Now come on, don’t fall asleep on me again.”
“Mm… yes… it’ll be nice… I think… to die in your arms.”
“Christ, you’re so dramatic,” you rolled your eyes to not give away how fast your heart was beating, how sweaty your palms were, or that your hands were shaking with nerves. “You’re not going to die. You hear me? It looks like you’ve already put in directions back home, right? To Galaria? Please tell me this thing has autopilot.”
“Yes. Provided… there are no… unexpected emergencies…” He took several uneven, short breaths. “The ship… will take care of it…”
“Awesome. How often are there unexpected emergencies in intergalactic travel?”
Jungwoo was out cold.
You hung your head, letting out a deep sigh. “Cool. Great. Nice one, Y/N. Stuck on a spaceship that you don’t know how to fly. In space. With a half-dead alien. Stellar life choices, as always.”
You had no clue how much time had passed since you’d left Earth. There were no clocks—at least not ones that you could read—in Jungwoo’s ship, and your spaceman stayed knocked out, never coming close to consciousness. You got hungry at some point, but you couldn’t find any food, or least anything that you would risk eating this early. Maybe if it really felt dire. You hadn’t stocked Jungwoo up with supplies yet, you thought you had more time. Was he really planning on leaving like that?
A pleasant dinging came over the speakers of the ship eventually, reminding you of the sound that played over plane intercoms when an announcement was made. A computerized voice said something, but you realized you couldn’t understand it. You couldn’t make out a single word or syllable. It must be speaking Galarii. Nothing was flashing red, hopefully it wasn’t anything that required your assistance.
It felt like the ship was slowing down. You held onto Jungwoo’s lifeless body tightly to brace the two of you. He was still warm, and you took a small comfort in that.
With another jerk and cacophonous rattle, the ship touched down. You were pretty sure. The hum of the reactors died down, and it felt like the ship had finally stopped. Jungwoo let out a weak sound of pain in your arms, and you were on your feet.
You slammed your hand against the button to open the hatch with none of the grace that you’d seen Jungwoo use dozens of times. Tugging the transcoder off his neck, you put it on yourself before wedging your shoulder under his, planting your foot on a seat cushion, and heaving upwards with as much force as you could. Either the gravity on Galaria was different, you were having an adrenaline rush, or both, as Jungwoo’s body actually moved with you. You jerked both of you up onto the ladder, yelling in between deep breaths.
“Help!” Shove. “Help us!” Heave. “Help! Somebody!” Push. “Help!”
After the next jump, your head poked out of the cockpit. Immediately, you were met with winds that whipped your hair around and chilled you to the bone. You took as deep of a breath that you could, the frosty air feeling like knives in your lungs, to let out another cry, “Help!”
The lilac sky was barely visible through the snow that flurried around your face, sticking to your skin and hair. Two figures appeared through the snowstorm, approaching the spaceship, and you readjusted your hold on Jungwoo to lean his weight back on you to free up one arm to wave at them fervently.
“Over here!” You screamed. “Help us! Please!”
Jungwoo coughed, blue blood dribbling out of his mouth.
“Oh god…” You cupped his cerulean-stained cheek, panic flooding your heart as you saw the two figures stop in their tracks.
Heaving the two of you over the side in the quickest way you knew to get down, you slid down the ship, the fresh snow that had piled up breaking your fall about as well as Donghyuck had before. The impact rattled up your feet and knees, and you swore under your breath as you definitely heard something pop that had never popped before. Wrapping Jungwoo’s arm around your shoulders, you started dragging him towards the two figures.
“Hey!” You yelled out at them, glaring against the snow and wind. Tears streamed down your face as the wind battered your eyes, and your teeth were already chattering. “What the hell are you doing? He’s fucking dying! Help him!”
This finally spurred them into moving again, the figures rushing towards you once more. As they got closer, you could see that they were human-like—Galarii, presumably. They were bundled up for the weather, goggles and cloth masks obscuring much of their faces from you, but as they reached to take Jungwoo from you, a sudden fear seized you, and you jerked back from them at the last second, tightening your hold on him.
They must have been able to guess what spooked you, as one lifted up his goggles and pulled down his mask to let you see his face as he addressed you.
“I’m Kun. That’s my aide, Dejun,” he indicated to himself, then to the other Galarii. “I’m Jungwoo’s brother. Please.”
You looked between them for a moment, then nodded. They moved to each take one of his arms and loop it around their shoulders. You stayed close as they trudged through the snowstorm with him, your worried eyes staying on Jungwoo. Your feet were entirely numb, and you didn’t register when one of the caught on something under the snow until you were already catapulting forward face-first. Your hands were tucked under your arms, and you couldn’t get them out fast enough to break your fall. Kun thankfully had faster reflexes than you, and managed to catch you by the arm, leaving you suspended above the snowbank for a perilous moment. He jerked you back until you got your feet under you again, and you mumbled out a thank you that was muted by the winds. Looking over your shoulder, your knees nearly gave out again when you saw the trail of blue drops that Jungwoo was leaving behind.
Kun once again grabbed your arm, and you looked at him inquisitively, coming to a stop as they did. You were in front of a cliffside by the ocean, which was in fact a cotton candy pink, no buildings in sight. The sea spray stung your eyes, made them water up, and you did your best to cover them without entirely obscuring your vision.
Dejun approached the rock wall as Kun took on all of Jungwoo’s weight. You heard a faint groan, and you weren’t sure which of them it came from, but you moved to take over where Dejun had just been. Jungwoo was no longer warm.
Dejun touched his own pendant to part of the stone, and you swore you saw something glow, but that could’ve been the refraction of light off the waves into your pupils, you couldn’t be sure. An opening formed in the cliffside, and Dejun ushered the three of you in. As soon as you stepped in, it didn’t feel like you were underground, or inside a cliff. It just seemed like you were indoors. Sure, it was dim, but pleasantly so, like it was evening. It was also warm, which you were glad for. You readjusted your hold on Jungwoo, pressing your hand against his chest for some stability, the right side of his chest, desperately hoping that maybe you could feel his heartbeat finally. You couldn’t.
Dejun didn’t request to take Jungwoo back from you though his hands hovered around you uncertainly, as if he were about to. You weren’t sure if you would’ve let him this time. Instead, he simply led the way through the sprawling home you had found yourself in. You didn’t pay attention much to your surroundings, only enough to make sure you weren’t going to trip while you carried Jungwoo. Finally, you made it to a bedroom of some kind, and Kun motioned for you to put him down on the bed there.
Kun took off some of his outer layers, letting you see his face again for the first time since he found the two of you at the ship. Dejun reentered the room—you didn’t realize he had left—also no longer in his thick parka and carrying what must be a first aid kit, handing it off to Kun.
“What’s your name?” Kun asked, his eyes focused on the materials in his hands.
At first, you couldn’t talk, your throat too dry from the cold air outside. You desperately swallowed and coughed, then hoarsely said, “Y/N.”
Dejun poured you a glass of something from a jug in the corner, and you looked it over. It looked like water to you, and you remembered that Jungwoo didn’t seem put off by what water looked like on Earth. You took a tentative sip. Tasted like nothing. It soothed your raw throat a little bit, and you drank some more.
“My name’s Y/N,” you reiterated, then faltered as you looked at Jungwoo. “I’m… Jungwoo’s friend. He crashed on Earth, we were helping him get back. But then he started getting like this. You can help him, right?”
Kun gently tilted his brother’s head back and forth, the prevalent frown on his features only deepening. “Dejun, some help?”
The aide came over, and the two of them lifted Jungwoo’s shirt up over his head. You gasped when you saw some bruising on his back and side, presumably from when he hit the wall when you took off from Earth. But the two Galarii didn’t focus on that. Their attention was on his shoulders instead, having a hushed conversation between themselves.
“Is his shoulder okay?” You asked. “Is it broken or something?”
“His joint is fine,” Dejun reassured you.
“Oh, good.”
“Y/N,” he said your name quietly, eyes focused on your leg. “You’re bleeding. I think.”
You looked down at your still-numb extremities, registering for the first time that you had apparently been cut by something outside. Bright red dripped down the side of your left leg, and you held back the instinct to touch it in disbelief.
“Oh. Sorry.” You apologized, as you noticed a spot on the floor. “Uhm, do you have a band-aid?”
“Follow me, we’ll get it cleaned up and give you some new clothes.”
You looked at Jungwoo anxiously, where Kun was still tending to him. “I’m fine.”
“He’ll still be here, Y/N,” Kun promised. “I’m sure my brother would want us to take care of his friend too.”
Reluctantly, you went with Dejun into an adjoining room. After getting your cut washed out and a bandage applied, he fetched you some warmer clothes.
“Thanks, Dejun.” You wrapped your arms around yourself. “Can I go back?”
“Sure. I’ll bring you some food.”
Stepping back into the room, you saw Kun cleaning up Jungwoo’s face and chest where his blood had begun drying.
“Can I help?” You offered tentatively.
Kun waved you over. “His head keeps lolling around. Can you keep him still?”
“Of course.” You sat on the corner of the bed, gently rearranging Jungwoo to cradle the back of his head with both your hands in your lap. Brushing some of his hair from his face, you took comfort in watching the shallow but steady rise and fall of his chest. “Is that better?”
“Yeah, thanks.”
“His iridophores don’t look right.” You stated, able to see the reflective patches on his cheeks and shoulders from this angle. “That’s what you’re worried about, right?”
Kun nodded. “Yes.”
“They’re… dull.” You kept your hands where they were. The realization did nothing to soothe you. “What does that mean?”
“I can’t say.”
“What can it mean?” You asked insistently, eye boring holes into the top of Kun’s head as he was bent over focusing rather intently on one spot. “On Earth, one symptom can mean a lot of things. What can dull iridophores be a symptom of?”
“We won’t know anything until he wakes up,” Kun reiterated, soaking and wringing out the washcloth one final time. His eyes met yours, his own iridophores glinting in the lights. “Please, I don’t want to speculate before then.”
“Fine. Okay,” you relented for now.
The Galarii’s gaze fell to the pendant around your neck. “That’s Jungwoo’s transcoder.”
You looked down at it as well. “Yeah. I figured I needed it more than him right now. You know, considering…”
“Has he explained to you how it works?”
“Telepathy. Which he told me is apparently very scientific to you all, and definitely not witchcraft,” you snorted.
Dejun entered, a plate of food in his hand. Kun nodded towards it for you. “Eat.”
You sighed, pressing your hand to Jungwoo’s cheek once more. He wasn’t ice cold anymore, but still felt clammy to the touch. Maneuvering his head back to the pillow, you moved over to the table where Dejun had set the food for you. It all seemed food-like, and if your attention wasn’t so focused on your spaceman, you were sure you would be much more enthralled by eating alien food right now. But you could barely even taste it as you wolfed down a few bites, then a few more when Kun was still carefully watching you. When he seemed satisfied that you were fed, you pushed the plate away.
“Full,” you mumbled. “Thank you.”
Dejun and Kun exchanged a look, but didn’t say anything.
“Do you know when he’ll wake up?” You asked. “Don’t you guys have like, doctors or something? Healers? I don’t know, any sort of healthcare?”
“His iridophores… doctors can’t help with that,” Kun explained, obviously choosing his words very carefully. “We have to see if Jungwoo will pull through on his own.”
“That’s it?!” You spat back, wide-eyed. Maybe your tone was a bit harsh, but you couldn’t believe that they apparently didn’t even need a real doctor to examine him to give a diagnosis like that.
“Y/N—”
“But he’s—He was fine just a few days ago…” You stared at him in disbelief. “We got ice cream…”
“I’ll have Dejun make a room up for you, Y/N,” Kun said, gently patting your shoulder as they moved towards the exit.
“Kun.” You grabbed his arm before he got too far. He turned around to look at you inquisitively. “I’m sorry. He’s your brother, this must be painful for you too. Really, I’m so sorry.”
He offered a melancholy smile, nodding. “Thank you.”
You couldn’t sleep that night, kept up thinking about Jungwoo. Finally, after too much restless tossing and turning, you got out of bed. Wandering down the halls of whatever cave house you were in, you turned your phone on. Of course you didn’t have service inside a cliff in another galaxy. Coming to a stop in some sort of open living space, you sat down onto something that you were going to call a loveseat, which overlooked a small pool of water that seemed to glow on its own. You stared at your zero bars, thought about Jungwoo dying, being on a planet in a galaxy far away from your friends and family, and for possibly the first time in your entire life, felt so lonely you could cry.
Pulling your knees to your chest, you buried your face in them, feeling so small and wanting nothing more than someone bigger than you to come in and make everything okay again. You dialed Johnny’s contact on your phone, just to hear the dial tone as the call didn’t connect, then dropped and hung up on its own.
You got the feeling that somebody else was there, and turned around towards the entrance. It was Kun, and he ducked his head sheepishly.
“You couldn’t sleep either?” He surmised.
“No.” You scooted to one end of the seat, offering up the empty space for him to join you.
“I can alter your device, to communicate with Earth,” he offered, gesturing to your phone, the screen of which was still lit up in your hand.
“You think so?” You asked hopefully.
“Yes. It will keep my mind busy, too.”
You placed it in his waiting palm. “Thank you!”
He looked at the glowing pond in front of the two of you. “Do you have places like this on Earth?”
“Kind of?” You said. “I think? Maybe? Is it some kind of uh, bioluminescence? Some bacteria or something that glow?”
Kun smiled. “Yes, exactly.”
“Cool. Funny, we have pink oceans too. Like, our whole ocean isn’t pink, but there’s small lakes and stuff that are pink like yours.”
“What color are your oceans, then?” He tilted his head curiously.
“Blue, like our sky,” you informed him with a grin. “Or, sometimes a greenish blue.”
“A blue sky…” He muttered, clearly trying to picture that. “I’m sure that fascinated Jungwoo.”
“Hey.” You looked at him inquisitively. “Is it really true that you don’t know who’s older?”
Kun chuckled. “It’s different on Earth, then?”
“Very.”
“Yes, Galarii children aren’t raised being called the older or younger child. Most families have their children very close together, so unless you remember your sibling being born, you typically won’t know which of you is older.”
“And school isn’t organized by age either.”
“No.”
“Huh.”
“Do you have a sibling?”
“An older brother, kind of,” you said fondly. “That’s who I was trying to call.”
Kun furrowed his brow. “He’s ‘kind of’ older, or ‘kind of’ your brother?”
“‘Kind of’ my brother.” You laughed. “Definitely older. We know that on Earth. And even if we didn’t, he remembers me being born, so…”
“Ah, you’ve known him for a while?”
“Friends for my whole life, yeah. He always knows what to do. Which is usually pretty annoying, but this time, I really need that.”
The Galarii with you nodded in understanding. “I don’t know everything, but I will do my best to let you speak with him.”
Kun rose to his feet.
“Kun.” You stopped him from leaving. “When humans are in comas, people say that they can still hear you. Is Jungwoo like that right now?”
“I think it will benefit him for you to spend time with him,” he agreed. “I’ll bring you your communicator once it’s ready. You should try to sleep tonight, Y/N.”
You offered him a smile. “Thank you, Kun. For everything.”
“Thank you for bringing him home.”
When you woke up, you couldn’t be sure if it was morning, but it was definitely brighter in the hallway outside your room. You were sure they had the lights set to mimic whatever the rhythm of Galarian days were like.
Jungwoo looked the same as when you left him yesterday, which was both comforting and disconcerting. He hadn’t gotten any worse overnight, but he wasn’t getting better. You pulled up a chair next to the bed, wringing your hands over your lap.
Feeling a little silly as you looked around the otherwise empty room, you said quietly, “Uh, hey, Jungwoo…”
He didn’t stir, and you poked your tongue against the inside of your cheek as you contemplated continuing. Eventually, you did. “I don’t… know what to say. My grandpa died when I was seven and when my mom took me to his headstone after, I never knew what I was supposed to say to it. Not that you’re dead, obviously… I-I was kind of relieved when I got older and my mom stopped taking me with her to visit him. I think that’s bad. But it felt like I always had to pretend to be as sad as her, which didn’t feel right to her.”
You readjusted how the covers settled on Jungwoo. “I wish you were awake, so I could ask you what sort of funeral traditions you have on Galaria, or if your grandparents are alive, or about your mom. I guess I could ask Kun that kind of stuff, but it wouldn’t be the same. I-I want to know about you.”
Time passed like that, you having a one-sided conversation with Jungwoo. Dejun sometimes stopped in to bring you meals and check on Jungwoo. After your second meal of the day, Kun entered the room, holding your phone out towards you. It looked the exact same as before, and you went to pocket it.
“It’s fine, Kun, don’t worry about—”
“Try it,” he urged you.
“Wait, you fixed it?” You took it back out, looking down at the screen. It looked normal, except you realized that that now it indicated that you had full bars. Honestly, you were expecting some kind of alien technology to be appended to it, and for the endeavor to take much longer. “That was fast.”
You once again tried to call Johnny, entirely unsure and uncaring of what time it was on Earth. This time, it rang.
“Y/N?!” His voice was a mixture of disbelief and fear when he picked up. You gave Kun a thumbs-up and darted from the room to properly take the call.
“Hey, Johnny…” You were already braced for the scolding of a lifetime, certain that he was well aware of where you were. Somehow, he always knew. Who knew how long you have been gone from home at this point.
“Y/N…” He took a deep breath. “Just come home safe.”
“I will, I will!” You promised hurriedly.
“I sprinkled into conversation with your parents your destination bachelorette trip already. So when you get back, you’ve got to figure out which one of your friends is getting married.”
Not if, when.
“Thank you, thank you.”
“Put Jungwoo on, I need to talk to him,” he demanded sternly.
Your throat nearly closed up as you thought of the scene you had just left, Jungwoo still passed out, his iridophores fading, untreatable even by Galarii doctors. “I can’t, he’s-he’s really bad. I don’t know what—I don’t know.”
“Hey, Y/N, it’s okay. Deep breaths with me now, alright, kid?” Johnny’s tone immediately softened, and he led you through a few deep breaths over the call. Once he seemed satisfied that you were a little calmer, he continued with the same soothing voice, “He’ll be alright. He’s back where he belongs, where people who know how to treat him can treat him. He’ll be fine.”
Tears spilled over your cheeks as you shook your head desperately. “They can’t, John. They can’t treat him. He’s—He’ll either get better or he won’t.”
“What?!” He asked incredulously. “He’s not a lame horse that needs to be put down. Who told you that? Put them on the phone.”
“I—” You sniffed and wiped your eyes. “Why do you care so much?”
Johnny sighed again, lowering his voice. “Look. You are stranded God fucking knows where. And as far as I’m concerned, Jungwoo is the only alien there that is going to want to get you home. So he can’t fucking die.”
You shuffled back into the room, thankfully spotting Kun still in there. “Do you have a transcoder?”
“Yes, is there something wrong with yours? I can understand you just fine.”
“No, uhm, Johnny wants to talk to you.” You indicated to your phone.
Kun raised his eyebrows, gesturing to himself. “Your brother wishes to speak with me?”
“Yeah. He’s a… doctor,” you half-fibbed. “He helped take care of Jungwoo when he crashed before. He wants to know how he’s doing. Will it work over the phone? The transcoder?”
Kun gestured for you to wait, then left the room for a moment, returning with a necklace similar to yours around his neck. The pendant was of a similar construction, but a slightly different shape and angles.
You quickly informed Johnny, “Okay, uhm, this is Kun, Jungwoo’s brother.”
The Galarii accepted the phone, and you helped him hold it correctly before he stepped out to take the call like you had. You kept your ears peeled for the worst, hoping Johnny stayed on his best behavior.
“Jungwoo, I hate this,” you kept talking to your spaceman in the meantime. “I hate not being able to do anything for you. I hate just having to wait, feeling useless.”
After some time, you heard footsteps outside the room, and quieted down before Kun reentered, holding your phone out to you.
“So… what did you guys talk about?” You asked hopefully.
“There may be one more thing we can try for Jungwoo,” Kun said, and you immediately got to your feet.
“Well let’s do it!”
He held out a hand to calm you. “It’ll have to wait until nighttime, I’m afraid.”
“What? What is—?”
“In the meantime, Johnny did mention that human bodies don’t naturally make the same painkillers that Galarii do. I apologize for not being aware of that.” Kun bowed his head apologetically. “Are you in any pain?”
“It’s fine.”
“He said you would do that as well, and to ask again. Are you certain you are not in pain? You cut your leg yesterday.”
You sighed, refraining from rolling your eyes at the man who really was just trying to be kind. “Fine. My head hurts a little, and my leg. And sort of everything.”
“Come with me, I can prepare you an injection. Johnny explained proper dosage and administration for humans.”
Reluctantly, you left and followed Kun to another room in the house. It appeared to be another bedroom, and he gestured for you to take a seat at a small desk. Papers were in neat stacks, and you looked around with both interest and eagerness to get this over with so you could get back to Jungwoo.
“Is this your room?” You asked as Kun pulled up a chair and opened a first aid kit of some kind.
“Yes.”
“Is that Jungwoo’s room that you have him in?” You watched him roll up your sleeve to wipe down your arm first. “Does he live with you?”
“When he’s on Galaria, yes.” Kun then brought out a small, clear bottle and syringe that looked remarkably like the ones back on Earth. “His ship is more-so his home.”
“His actual ship, right? The one he took this time was yours.”
The Galarii filled the syringe with a very small amount of medicine. “Yes. He doesn’t spend enough time here to necessitate having his own place.”
“So did you finish your paperwork?”
He nodded to the stacks on the desk next to you. “Does it look like I did?”
You laughed, and he reached for your upper arm. “Just let me know when you’re going to do it. My friend Yuta wanted to be a piercer in high school before he was a mechanic, so I have a lot of practice being stuck.”
“I already did it,” Kun informed you, holding a small piece of gauze to the site.
You looked down in disbelief. “Seriously?” And sure enough, there was an empty syringe on the table too. “Damn, I didn’t feel a thing. You’re good.”
Kun took the gauze off the injection site, a small drop of red blood on it. “You know, has anybody ever said that is a very alarming color?”
“I think that’s the point,” you chuckled. “To get your attention.”
“I see…”
“So what’s the other thing to help Jungwoo?”
“I have some work to get done before it.” He gestured to the papers again with a remorseful look. “How about you sit with him for now? I’ll let you know once we can get started.”
You bit your tongue to not take your frustration at the situation out on your host. “Alright. Thanks, Kun.”
Back in Jungwoo’s room, you froze when you were greeted by two big brown eyes blinking at you from the bed. Jungwoo seemed equally in shock as he rubbed his eyes, squinting at you uncertainly.
“Hey, you’re awake,” you breathed out in relief, feet finally coming unstuck so you could dart over to his bedside.
“Y/N?” He groaned and tried to push himself up into a sitting position.
“Easy, easy,” you murmured, urging him back down.
“That’s… really you?”
You offered him a smile, hoping he couldn’t tell how nervous you were. “Yeah. Crazy déjà vu, huh?”
Jungwoo looked down at his own hands. “I’m alive?”
“Yeah, you are. It was uhm… kind of scary for a while there,” you admitted quietly, taking his hand. Putting some pep into your tone, you added, “But I told you, remember? I said you weren’t going to die.”
“I thought I was hallucinating and dying,” he deadpanned.
“When? On the ship? You could’ve been, I don’t know. What did you see?”
“You. I thought I was hallucinating when I saw you.”
“Oh. No, I’m real.”
His mouth was set into a hard line as he asked, “Why are you here?”
“Because your ship’s autopilot worked and didn’t crash us into the ocean,” you teased.
But he didn’t even smile. “What…? Why would you do that?”
The smile dropped from your face as you turned confused. “Because I didn’t want you to die? Why are you… pissed at me? Is that it? You’re pissed?”
All the happiness that was bubbling in your chest had been soured with the unexpectedly hostile reaction you’d received from Jungwoo.
“You’ve never been in space— I—” He took a deep breath, once again trying to push himself up and succeeding this time as you didn’t stop him. You dropped his hand, crossing your arms over your chest as you watched him carefully, still concerned with how weak he’d be after not eating or drinking for so long. “What if the ship had crashed? Exploded? What if it flew at speeds unsafe for humans? What if my ship didn’t protect you against radiation deadly to humans because it was built for Galarii? What if Galarii had much longer lifespans than humans and something that was a short trip for me was longer than your entire life? What if we made it here and you couldn’t breathe our air? What if—”
“None of that happened,” you insisted.
“There were any billions of things that could have gone wrong, that you didn’t know and you—”
“They didn’t,” you reiterated emphatically.
“What if they did? Because of a choice you made for me?”
You rolled your eyes and stood up, putting some distance between the two of you as you felt anger start simmering under your skin. “It wasn’t really a choice. It was… I don’t know, I just did it. But it was fine, so just stop, alright?”
“Why did you come with me?” Jungwoo asked knowingly.
“Why did you try to leave me like that?” You shot back.
He suddenly couldn’t look you in the eye. “I was dying, I had to get back home.”
“I know, I was trying to help you get back home,” you scoffed. “I mean, why did you trick me into going to ask Yuta for a part that you already had, so that you could leave me without saying goodbye? I was ready to let you go, Jungwoo—”
“Because hearing you say that would’ve actually killed me!” His chest heaved after his outburst, his eyes were a watery red as he continued, “And you… that would’ve hurt you. And I couldn’t stick around just to selfishly enjoy another moment of your time if it meant doing that to you. I figured the confusion wouldn’t have been as bad as watching me die.”
The two of you stared at each other for several tense, choking seconds as his words hung in the air. You clenched your jaw, chewing on your next words, ruminating on them, before you swallowed them back down, sharp and bitter.
“I need to take a walk, because if I stay in here, I’m going to say something nasty that I don’t mean,” you spat out instead.
Kun found you by the bioluminescent pond again, a normal-looking water feature by day. You were crouched by the water’s edge, listlessly watching the water lap at the cold stone floor you were sitting on.
“Jungwoo’s awake,” Kun said, standing just behind and to your right side.
“Yeah.” You swallowed. “You heard us fighting, I’m guessing.”
“I didn’t hear what was said, only his voice. The only way I could get him to stay in bed was by promising that I would check on you.”
“Jungwoo’s been out for a while, he should get something to eat, and drink—”
“Dejun is getting him food and water now.”
“Good,” you croaked, wiping at a tear that had collected at the corner of your eye. “God damn it…”
Kun sat down beside you. “You’re more than his friend, aren’t you?”
“Oh, I guess. I don’t know.” You picked at your fingernails to avoid looking at him. “He… you know…”
“Imprinted? On you?” The Galarii’s voice betrayed his awe.
“Yeah. I know it’s a big deal, like the big deal for you guys… but I don’t do that, so…”
“It’s been awkward.”
“That’s one word for it.”
“Do you have a… partner on your planet?” He asked sympathetically.
“Oh, no, it’s not that bad, thankfully,” you sniffled and laughed. “It’s not that I don’t like Jungwoo, or that I can’t see myself, you know… falling in love with him or whatever. It just feels like I’m at Point A and he’s already at Point X waiting for me to catch up. Like there’s this huge gap.”
“He’s not in love with you, if that helps,” Kun informed you.
You stared at him blankly. “Huh?”
“Ah, exactly what I thought. Jungwoo didn’t explain imprinting very well.” Kun nodded to himself. “It’s not… instant infatuation, or love, or anything like that. You’re aware, in the back of your mind, that theoretically anybody in the universe could be the person you spend the rest of your life with, right? There may be near infinite numbers of people that you could be attracted to? Hypothetically?”
“I haven’t really thought of it like that, but I guess, yeah.” Without Donghyuck here unhelpfully joking about eggs, you found the conversation much easier to process. Or maybe you were just becoming desensitized to the idea, you couldn’t tell.
“Jungwoo doesn’t feel that endlessness anymore. His infinity is just you now. He’s not in love with you, because he doesn’t know you very well, but he knows that the only person he could ever fall in love with for the rest of his life is you.”
“So I’m at Point A and he’s at like, Point G, not Point X.”
“If your analogy is translating correctly, yes.”
You chewed on your bottom lip, mind turning over one part of his explanation. “‘Could.’ You used the word could, unless the transcoder is being liberal with nuance here.”
“Well, yes. I don’t think this is getting muddied in translation. It’s not definite that he’s going to fall in love with you.” He tilted his head. “I think that’s what is making you anxious, right? Feeling as though you have no choice, something has already plotted your life for you?”
You nodded. “Yeah… I think it brings some people peace, doesn’t it? On my planet, a lot of people have a god of some kind that they think has a divine plan for them and their life. That… freaks me the fuck out.” You let out a breathy, nervous chuckle, wringing your hands. “I’ve never liked feeling trapped.”
“You could leave the planet. If Jungwoo knew it was your choice to leave him, I don’t think he would follow you. He would let you go,” Kun offered. “We have more ships. I would go with you, personally guarantee your safety.”
“Do Galarii have religion?” You avoided answering his question, the intensity of his gaze, looking up at whatever was creating false light in the cavern, unable to pinpoint its exact origin past the hazy glow above you. “Jungwoo never mentioned any sort of religious figure, or prayed or anything when he was injured… That’s kind of when humans would’ve. Prayed for their God to give them strength.”
He took your conversation shift in stride, “We have enduring superstitions, traditions, but no sort of organized religion, no.”
“So this imprinting, it’s not any sort of divine plan, or divine will? To you all? It just… is?”
“One of the superstitions we do have is that of the finder’s intuition.”
“What’s that?”
“If you’ve found something, whether you realize it or not, you found it for a reason.”
“Jungwoo said something kind of like that about imprinting,” you recalled. “He said that humans choose their partners, but Galarii find them.”
“Yes. So for him to have been in that ship in the first place, which was not his, so far from home, and crashed due to circumstances outside of his control, on your planet, only to meet you, and it just happens that he imprints on you…”
“I found him.” You let out a choked laugh, covering your face at the insanity of it all. Of course Jungwoo had no reason to doubt why he had imprinted on you. You practically told him it was meant to be without even realizing it.
“I’m sorry?” Kun obviously had no context as for why you were laughing.
“I found his ship after he crashed and pulled him out of it. I found him,” you were still laughing as you explained, wiping at a stray tear that eked out. You didn’t know if it was from humor or misery at this point. “I literally told him ‘finders keepers’ talking about why he was staying at my apartment.”
His eyebrows shot up. “Oh…”
“Why was Jungwoo… so bad? When I brought him back?” You still needed some kind of answer. “You made it sound like you weren’t going to be able to help him at all.”
“Do you want to leave?”
“No.” You answered immediately. It was the same thing that made you get into his ship when it was taking off. Not imprinting, and not love… yet.
“I thought he was dying of a failed imprint,” Kun answered without hesitation.
“He can die from that?! And you were going to just let me leave?! Not just that, personally escort me out of the galaxy?! He’s your brother!” You shot to your feet, once again in utter disbelief at the conversation you were having.
“I never believed that you wanted to leave,” Kun replied simply. “I understand this is not entirely fair to you. But I do believe that you should understand the gravity of your situation. Again, he seems to be fine now.”
You ran a hand through your hair. “I mean—What the hell?! If we were to even like, be together in the future, if we had a fight he could die?! That’s fucking crazy!”
“No,” he reassured you. “The initial phases of an imprint are the rockiest. If it doesn’t take, a Galarii can die.”
“What causes it to… not… take?”
“Emotional turmoil, physical distance from the person they imprinted on, stress, any number of things.”
“But he’s fine now? You said he’s fine now?” You double-checked.
“Yes.”
“So it… took?”
“I believe so.”
“Okay, good.” You let out a sigh of relief.
Kun looked conflicted as he added, “I have a confession.”
You blinked at him. “…What now?”
“The injection I gave you, it wasn’t just for you,” he admitted. “I of course didn’t want you to be in pain, but for Galarii that have imprinted on non-Galarii, it’s been known for their physiology to sometimes mimic their non-Galarii partners. Johnny described to me how Jungwoo healed while on Earth and reacted differently to substances than he would have on Galaria. More human-like, from my understanding. And when he returned with a human…”
“That made you suspect that he had imprinted on me,” you finished. “But you injected me, not Jungwoo—And Jungwoo hates needles, and always knows where I am, so you thought he would’ve sensed me being in danger in his coma and woken up to protect me? Is that even how this thing works?”
“It’s not exact, what Jungwoo can sense… I doubt if I even injected you now, that he would know. Just, the feeling that something wasn’t right. An instinctual need to check on you.” Kun rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, his ears flushing red. “I wasn’t sure if he had told you, and if I was wrong about the imprint, that would’ve been—”
“A horrible situation for all of us to be in, yeah, I understand.” You stared out at the water, thinking about how the one that you were in didn’t seem much better in that moment.
“You two have both been through a lot. I’m sure you’ll come to understand each other.” The Galarii stood up. “I’m going to check on my brother. Take your time, Y/N.”
“Y/N?” Dejun found you by the water again later in the day. He was carrying a tray of food, meaning that it must be dinnertime already. You hadn’t budged from your spot after your conversation with Kun earlier, thinking way too much about everything.
“Dejun, hey.” You held your chin up with the palm of your hand, still staring out at the water. “Nobody’s looking for me, are they?”
You didn’t specify who would be looking for you.
The aide approached, handing you a plate of food. “Jungwoo asked if you’re alright.”
“I wanted to give him and Kun time alone,” you fibbed. “You know, they’re brothers, it’s been a while since they’ve seen each other.”
“Kun had state matters to attend to, he took his dinner to his room.”
“Of course, right.” You nodded. “Dejun, can I ask you something? And feel free to tell me if it’s way too personal by Galarii standards.”
He arched an eyebrow curiously, but acquiesced nevertheless. “Sure.”
“Are you… Have you… imprinted on someone?”
He smiled just the tiniest bit, and shook his head. “No, not yet.”
“Okay, thanks.”
With that, Dejun nodded his head politely and took leave of the room. You could only eat a couple bites of the food before you let out a deep sigh and stood up. You found your way back to Jungwoo’s room easily, knocking at the open doorway hesitantly. He was sitting at the table eating, and you were happy to see that he was well enough to get out of bed.
Jungwoo looked over from his food, sitting up straighter when he saw that it was you. “Y/N.”
“Hey.” You gestured to the table with your full plate of food. “Mind if I join you?”
“Of course not.” He motioned to the chair across from him hurriedly.
You sat down, studying him under the lights as he went back to eating. “You look a lot better. Your iridophores… You look better.”
“Thanks.” He wiped his mouth. “I’m sorry for getting so upset earlier. I could’ve expressed my concerns in a more… productive way.”
“You just woke up from a coma, it’s understandable you weren’t all there,” you replied graciously. “Thank you.”
“Thank you for making sure I got back safe,” he said strongly, putting a hand on your forearm. “Kun told me what he knows, and I believe I’d be dead without you. Their sensors recognized that something that wasn’t Galarii had landed on the planet without permission, so they went out to investigate and found us. We landed in a snowstorm, and I was unconscious. If you weren’t with me, not only would they not have found us at all, but I would’ve frozen to death out there.”
“I was why you were dying in the first place, though,” you pointed out. He seemed to be at a loss for words, and you added, “You should have told me, Jungwoo. Back on Earth, you should’ve told me what was going on.”
“You’re right. You kept talking about wanting me to leave with good memories of Earth, I wanted to do the same, leave you with only good memories of me.”
“If you had really left me like that, I would’ve been worried sick for the rest of my life not knowing what happened to you,” you told him harshly. “And now that I know that you apparently were doing that knowing that you were just going to die… I don’t get it. I don’t get you, and I’m really trying to.”
“I’m sorry. I was wrong. You’re not so… careless. I don’t know how I could have ever thought that.”
You took another bite of food, listening to the sounds of both your breaths in the quiet air. “Could you hear me? When you were out? I-I was talking to you, I couldn’t do anything else, and it’s supposed to help humans who are in comas, so…”
“Nothing in particular, at least not that I can remember now.” Jungwoo shook his head, but there was still a pleased smile on his face. “But I don’t doubt that having you nearby helped.”
“So you also don’t know why you woke up?” You asked tepidly. “It wasn’t a… choice somehow?”
“I remember being on the ship on Earth with you, and then I woke up here. Everything in between… I don’t recall.”
“That’s okay.” You both had finished your meals, and you stood up from the table. “I should let you rest some more.”
Jungwoo surprisingly agreed to this, the exhaustion visible in his features. “I wish we could talk more…”
“Tomorrow,” you promised, offering your hand out for him to take. “We can eat breakfast together again.”
He stood up on shaky feet, and you shuffled back over to the bed with him, helping him back under the covers.
“Could you sit with me? Until I go to sleep?” He requested, gently grasping your hand.
“Of course.” You sat down on the edge of the bed, brushing a few stray pieces of hair out of his eyes.
“Your hands are even colder on Galaria, I think,” he commented, smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
“Well shit, maybe it’s the frozen tundra outside,” you retorted.
“I… don’t mind…” he hummed, his eyes fluttering shut.
“Sleep well, Jungwoo,” you murmured, stroking your thumb over the back of his hand.
You ate breakfast with Jungwoo as promised, happy to take part in this one little thing with him again.
“How are you feeling?” You asked, sitting with him at the table. He was already there with two places set when you entered.
“Better than yesterday, not as good as tomorrow,” he told you brightly. “How did you sleep?”
“Good, good.” You continued watching him carefully as he ate. “You really feel better?”
“Yes, I do.”
“Then do you think… do you think it took?” You pushed some food around on your plate awkwardly. “Would you even know that?”
Jungwoo set his utensil down, easing back in his chair slowly. “Yes, I think it took. How does that make you feel?”
“I’m happy you’re okay,” you answered honestly. “The rest… Like I said, I’m trying to understand you, but I just don’t get it.”
“Ask me anything you’d like. Please.”
“I mean, doesn’t it seem unfair? That I’m apparently your soulmate, but you’re not mine?”
“Unfair to who? You or me?”
You faltered. “What?”
“I do understand how this would seem unfair to you—That I know that you’re my soulmate, but you don’t have that certainty about me,” he shook his head sorrowfully. “Yes, that must be terrible.”
“No, I meant unfair to you. You’re stuck with me. You don’t get a choice. But I do, I don’t have that sort of obligation to you,” you pointed out, shifting forward in your chair. “Doesn’t that make you… anxious?”
“Ah, I get it now.” Jungwoo nodded, a thoughtful look on his face as he too sat up. “Galarii find, humans pick. I wouldn’t want to take that choice away from you. I… understand now, how important it is to you. So, if you do pick me, that’ll be the happiest day of my life. And every day after that that you wake up and pick me again, will be the new happiest day of my life.”
He held his hand out on the tabletop between the two of you, palm up, a soft smile on his face as he looked at you. Not urging, not impatient. You knew he would withdraw it if you turned away.
“You’re really…” You kept looking between him and his hand, keeping your tone curious. “Finding was good enough for you?”
“Good enough?” He chuckled, not derisively but fondly. “It was even better than I imagined.”
“You were half-dead, when I pulled you out of that ship,” you reminded him.
“Yeah, I was.”
“Galarii find, humans pick,” you repeated. “Just like you wouldn’t want to take my choice away from me, it would be wrong to force a choice like that onto you… But isn’t inaction just as much of a decision?”
Jungwoo’s smile only grew. “If it is, it’s one that I already made. I hope you can respect that, just as I’ll respect whatever you choose to do.”
You placed your hand atop his, offering him a hesitant smile. “This is me choosing to try this out. Does that make sense?”
“Yes.” He squeezed your hand gently. “Thank you. Once I’m better I’ll take you home and take you on real dates there. I promise.”
“So Galarii date too? I thought you guys would’ve just gone straight to moving in,” you joked, taking a bite of your food.
“No. I watched movies with Taeyong and Doyoung,” he explained. “Galarii spend quality time with their mate, yes, but the concept of going on ‘dates’ like humans to figure out if you’re compatible… we don’t have anything quite like that.”
“Of course those two took you to some sappy romantic movies,” you snickered. “I don’t need any big romantic public gestures, Jungwoo. Falling out of the sky and almost dying twice was plenty, I swear.”
“Your friends all said something similar.”
“They were giving you tips on how to flirt with me?”
“Yes. It seemed they were aware that I cared for you in some way…”
You burst out laughing, covering your face in embarrassment. “Oh God, I’m so sorry about them. Forget everything they said, whatever it was.”
“So, carnations aren’t your favorite flower?”
“Hold on, that’s real advice, who told you that?”
“Taeyong.”
“Okay, you can trust whatever Taeyong told you, and probably Doyoung, and maybe Jaehyun,” you counted them off on your fingers. “But forget everything that anybody else told you.”
“I will,” he agreed with a chuckle. “Some of it didn’t seem like very sound advice anyway.”
A couple days later, and Jungwoo was well enough to leave his room finally. The two of you walked around the house arm in arm, chatting about this or that.
“This is the longest I’ve been on Galaria in quite some time,” he mused.
“Kun said that you don’t stay for very long, so you don’t have your own place,” you said. “Don’t you get lonely? Not being around your friends or family?”
“Have you seen either of us have any visitors while you’ve been here? Aside from Dejun?”
“Well, no.”
“We don’t see other Galarii much during snow season,” he explained. “It’s less lonely out doing runs, actually. Interacting with customers, going to markets, busy cities… crash-landing on planets and being pulled from the wreckage by a beautiful human and her friends.”
“Smooth,” you giggled, bumping your shoulder into his as he smiled down at you. “But seriously, you guys don’t have tunnels connecting your homes or something?”
“Galaria’s crust is very thin compared to other rocky planets. We wouldn’t have the depth to build an elaborate system like that. At least not a very efficient one. Any transport that happens needs to be on the surface.”
“How do you all communicate during snow season then? Do you have phones too?”
“We have similar communication devices, yes.”
“How long is snow season?”
“Approximately half a Galarian year.”
You looked up at him curiously. “So what do you call the other half of the year, then?”
“We have two more seasons: Snowmelt, and newgreen.”
“I think I can guess what happens in each of those…” You joked.
“Do tell.”
“I think the snow melts, and then new green stuff grows.”
He chuckled fondly. “That’s the basics, yes.”
“But do you not have something between newgreen and snow season? Like a-a fall of some kind?” You were having a hard time wrapping your head around it. “We have four seasons for the most part: Spring, everything grows, kind of like newgreen I think; then in summer, it gets hotter but pretty much everything stays alive; then in fall it starts getter colder and things start dying off; then we have winter, and everything is dead or hibernating. Then it’s spring again and everything starts all over.”
Jungwoo listened with interest to your explanation before answering. “Snow season comes very rapidly each year. All the plants freeze at once in the first blizzard. There’s no time for a gradual decay like you’ve described.”
Your eyes widened. “Are you able to predict when the first blizzard is? Do you have like, meteorologists or something?”
“Yes, we’re able to narrow it down rather precisely and prepare.”
“And do most Galarii live alone like Kun?” You asked quietly. “I feel like if I was going to be stuck underground for half the year, unable to visit anybody, I might live with more than just one or two people.”
Jungwoo put a finger over his mouth, then nodded towards his room that the two of you had unwittingly looped back around to. He shut the door behind you, and you sat at the table together before he continued with your conversation, “Do you remember how I said my brother is controversial, not for any policies, but for something in his personal life?”
It felt like a lifetime ago, the first conversation you ever had. You nodded. “Yes.”
“Kun is very dedicated to his job.”
“I’ve noticed.”
“He doesn’t take many breaks, or attend social functions that are not required by his job, or, as you’ve pointed out, live with anybody except his aide and me, sometimes. Galarii typically do live in larger social centers during snow season. There’re no tunnels connecting these niches to each other, like I said before, but some can fit up to twenty or thirty people.”
“And you, Kun, and Dejun just have your own house,” you reiterated. “How would that make him so controversial that somebody would want to kill him?”
“Some Galarii see him as isolationist. Refusing to allow opportunities to find things. They believe it reflects poorly on his ability to lead.”
Your face screwed up with confusion. “But if you’re looking to find something, that’s no longer serendipity, that’s choice. That’s action. I thought the whole point was the inaction. Of you finding something when you weren’t looking?”
“Galarii have different interpretations of finder’s intuition, and what it means to ‘find’ something,” he sighed. “It’s a very small minority that see this as a flaw of his, but those that do feel very strongly about it.”
“Strong enough to try to kill him?” You felt like you were losing your mind trying to comprehend this.
“Apparently.”
You pinched the bridge of your nose before giving up. “You know what? Humans have definitely killed for much less; I don’t have any ground to stand on here.”
“That reminds me—I believe I’ll be well enough to take you home in two more days. I’m excited to show you my ship.”
“Really?” You focused him with a doubtful gaze. “I don’t want you pushing yourself for my sake, Jungwoo. I can wait.”
“Thank you. I assure you I’m being sincere. If I’m not at my best, that can pose a hazard to your safety.”
You sighed and put your head on his shoulder. “While I wish the reasons were a little more concerned for your wellbeing too, I appreciate the honesty.”
Jungwoo gently rested his head against yours. “Thank you.”
“For what?”
“Wanting me to live,” he said softly. “When you found me on Earth, when you brought me back to Galaria… Thank you.”
You picked your head back up to look at him incredulously. “What? Why would I want anything else? Why would I want you to die?”
“It’s very rare for Galarii to imprint on other species. And those who do, there haven’t been very many that take…”
“They died?”
“Yes.” He looked down at his hands, fidgeting with the material over his lap. “It’s even a common subject of Galarian stories. It’s… tragically romantic, to die so your mate can be happy with whoever they’re really in love with.”
You could feel the deep frown on your face as you listened to this. “But those are just stories. Characters live or die to explore narrative themes and emotions and societal concepts, not to be an example for real life.”
Jungwoo chuckled lightly, tracing a fingertip over one of the lines on your forehead, encouraging you to relax your face again. “That’s why I’m thanking you. You chose a different fate for me than the one I had accepted.”
“What did I say before, hm? Finders keepers,” you declared, grabbing his other hand. “You’re not going to die as long as I have something to say about it.”
“Immortality here I come,” he joked, caressing your cheek with the back of his fingers, then even lower, your jawline, your neck, until he picked up the transcoder from where it rested on your chest. He stared at it in wonder, as if it wasn’t his own piece of technology.
“You don’t mind, right?” You looked down at the pendant as well. “That I took your transcoder? I figured it would be easier for me to wear one than expect everyone else to…”
“No, of course not.” He dropped the jewelry again. “I’m just… very happy that it works for you.”
“Why wouldn’t it?”
“They have to be specially made for the Galarii who is going to wear it. Galarii can’t borrow each other’s transcoders.”
“Does it have something to do with the telepathy?”
“Yes.” He nodded. “I’ve never seen someone be able to wear someone else’s transcoder successfully.”
“Not even Galarii that imprint on each other?” You asked curiously, habitually gracing your own fingertips over the device.
“No, not even then.”
“Maybe it’s a human thing.”
“Maybe,” Jungwoo hummed noncommittally.
Two Galarian days later, and you and Jungwoo were ready to go back to Earth.
“Thank you so much, Kun,” you hugged your host goodbye. “Please stay safe.”
He looked confused as he released you from the hug. “Aren’t I supposed to be telling you that?”
You patted his arm. “I mean it.”
“Very well,” he relented with a smile. “Thank you, and the same for you.”
After you and Dejun had exchanged your goodbyes, you saw that Kun and Jungwoo were still embracing, and stood off to the side to wait patiently. Kun seemed to be half-hugging and half-lecturing Jungwoo, cuffing him by the ear to pull him down to his height as he spoke on and on seriously, and Jungwoo nodded or gave a joking whine every so often.
“Kun’s older,” you leaned over to whisper to Dejun.
“You’re guessing?” The aide whispered back.
“You can call it a hunch, yeah.”
Finally, Kun let Jungwoo go, and he straightened up, fixing his clothes with the help of his brother. You and Jungwoo didn’t have very much in terms of luggage to take—Jungwoo kept his personal belongings on his ship, and you came with nothing but your clothes and your phone. Kun and Dejun had given you more appropriate outer layers for the tundra outside, as well as food and supplies for the flight back to Earth, but really your only souvenir was your now extraterrestrially-modified cellphone.
“Ready?” Jungwoo asked you, carrying the small knapsack of supplies on his back.
You pulled your goggles down over your face and gave him the best thumbs-up you could with the thick gloves you had on. “Ready!”
You caught just a glimpse of his eyes crinkling with a smile before he too put his goggles on. Jungwoo clasped your hand as Dejun reached out towards the smooth face of the front door. This time you were able to properly see as he touched his necklace to a small panel that reminded you of the buttons on their spaceships, and a small yellow glow emanated from where they connected. Then, the door slid aside, into the cavern wall. You and Jungwoo stepped out together, the door shutting silently behind you.
Keeping a tight hold to Jungwoo’s hand and arm, you followed him through the snow that had continued building up. There was none actively falling now, giving you a much clearer view of the lilac expanse above. Despite the sameness of the landscape, Jungwoo seemed to know exactly where he was going. You didn’t realize you had arrived anywhere specific until Jungwoo suddenly stopped at one specific hill, brushing aside some snow on a post. You couldn’t read the writing on it, but he seemed satisfied, pulling it down. A small hatch opened in the snow in front of you, and he quickly ushered you over to it. Gesturing for you to wait a moment, he dropped the pack down first, then climbed down after it. From the bottom, he waved you down. You slowly started lowering yourself down as well, Jungwoo waiting right there for you.
Buried under who knows how much snow, your eyes had to acclimate to the darkness again. You had found yourself in the rear of Jungwoo’s ship, and he closed the hatch back up after you before pulling you towards the cockpit at the front. It was a two-seater like the one that he had borrowed from Kun, but you could immediately tell there was a lot more of a personal touch to this one. It was sleeker, the controls looking newer than the other, and you saw the occasional knickknack, notepad, or even piece of clothing strewn about the cockpit. He moved a jacket that had been hanging off the co-pilot seat then gestured to it for you.
You sat down as Jungwoo started preparing the ship for takeoff, still thinking about the mounds of snow atop you. Taking your goggles and mask off like he had, you asked, “What about all the snow?”
“The energy generated from the ship’s reactors melts it by the time we take off,” he explained, continuing to flip switches and push buttons.
“Wow.” You watched him work with a practiced ease and focus.
Finally, he turned back around to you, leaning in close as he dug around in the seat for your seatbelt. He grinned as he buckled it up and tightened it for you. “Can’t forget—Precious cargo.”
You just shook your head and smiled as he laughed and sat in his own seat. After getting himself situated, you two were ready for takeoff.
Jungwoo looked over at you, offering his hand out to you. “Ready?”
You grabbed it, squeezing it tightly as you nodded. “Ready.”
“Let’s go!” He cheered, joyfully slamming his hand down on a button. A countdown started on the monitors and from the speakers, and this time you could understand the announcement. It counted down from 10, and on 1, the reactors changed from a thrum to a full-on blast, and like when you took off from Earth, the ground lurched out from under you again. You couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment when you left Galaria, though, only when the reactors cooled back down to a hum.
You looked back over to Jungwoo expectantly. He unbuckled himself, a bright grin on his face. “We’re out of Galarian space.”
“Cool,” you breathed out, looking around the ship with wide eyes.
The Galarii started unbuckling you as well, pulling you to your feet. “Come on, I’ve got to show you around my ship!”
Maybe it was because you were in a different ship, maybe it was because you were no longer fearing for Jungwoo’s life, you couldn’t be sure, but the trip back to Earth felt a lot shorter than the trip to Galaria. This time, you directed Jungwoo to land on Johnny’s family farm just outside the city. Johnny’s parents were older and no longer kept livestock in one of the barns on the property, making it the perfect place to hide Jungwoo’s ship while it was there.
It was nighttime when you arrived, and Jungwoo effortlessly landed in the far-off field that you had been to many times when visiting Johnny’s grandparents growing up. He maneuvered into the open barn, and you were buzzing with excitement as he powered down the ship.
This time, he let you exit the hatch first, and you looked around eagerly, immediately spotting your two friends by the now-closed doors. You waved to Johnny and Jaehyun, sliding off the side of the ship to land easily on both feet.
“Johnny!” You exclaimed, throwing your arms around him first.
“Y/N, oh my God,” Johnny breathed out, crushing you to him so tightly the air was knocked from your lungs. “God damn it, kid, don’t do that again. Okay?”
“Okay, okay,” you coughed out your agreement, rubbing his back reassuringly.
“You’re late, you know that?” He continued scolding you even as he cradled the back of your head. “You said five days, we’ve been waiting here for two more days. I tried to call.”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I tried to guess as best I could. The days must be more different than I thought,” you mumbled into his shirt. “My phone died when we were coming back. I’m sorry for worrying you. Thank you for waiting, John. Thank you.”
When he finally let you go, you were grabbed in a bear hug by Jaehyun. “I’m glad you’re okay, Y/N. We both are.”
“Thanks, Jae,” you let out a sigh of relief at being able to breathe a little better. “I missed you guys.”
“How are you doing, Jungwoo?” Jaehyun turned to the Galarii next. “Johnny said it sounded pretty bad, but you’re looking alright to me.”
Jungwoo nodded, the transcoder now dangling from his neck. “I’m healed now. Thank you, Jaehyun.”
“Good to hear, dude.” Jaehyun hugged him too. “Good to hear.”
“Thanks, Jungwoo.” Johnny offered his hand out for Jungwoo to shake. “I’m glad you pulled through. Really.”
“What did you tell your parents?” You asked Johnny nervously. “About the barn?”
“I said one of my friends was going to keep a boat here for a few days. Their knees aren’t good enough to come all the way out here, they won’t come looking.” He then looked at you pointedly, “You should make an appearance, Y/N. While you’re here.”
“Are they up now?”
He looked at his watch. “Yeah. Your parents are actually over right now.”
You grimaced. “Really?”
“Really.”
“So I get back from my destination bachelorette trip that I didn’t bother telling them about and have enough time to help move a boat into storage but not see my parents—Daughter of the year,” you muttered regretfully.
“You did this to yourself, kid.” Johnny patted you on the head.
“I know, I know.”
Entering the Suhs’ living room where your parents were playing a game of cards, you went around to give everyone hellos, your parents first, then Johnny’s. Jungwoo was introduced as a friend of Johnny and Jaehyun’s, and lingered in the darkness by the doorway. Jaehyun had provided him a ballcap to help hide his iridophores in the shadows as much as he could as you tried to keep your conversations with your families short and quaint.
“When did you get back, Y/N?” Your mom asked.
“Earlier today—It’s been crazy, sorry I didn’t text you, Mom,” you immediately apologized, kissing her head quickly.
“We picked Y/N up from the airport and got distracted with the boat,” Jaehyun rescued you, flashing a charmingly dimpled smile at the parents. “Our bad, sorry, Mrs. Y/L/N.”
“Who is getting married?”
“Uhm, Chaeyoung.” You quickly picked a friend that you had met in college to guarantee that your mom didn’t know their parents and therefore wouldn’t try to congratulate anybody behind your back.
She nodded. “Ahh…”
“Whose boat did you say it was, Johnny?” Mr. Suh questioned his son next. “It’s not Yuta’s, is it?”
“Oh, he’s been talking about getting one since high school, hasn’t he?” Johnny’s mom laughed.
“Yep, it’s his,” Johnny nodded along.
Your dad appraised the four of you. “And he couldn’t even help you all?”
“Well, it’s mine too,” Jaehyun once again came in for the save. “We went in halfsies on it after my promotion. He was busy tonight, so I just went ahead and moved it.”
“Jungwoo, isn’t it?” Mr. Suh called out to the Galarii.
“Yes, sir.” He hastily gave a polite bow, fidgeting with the ballcap under the older man’s gaze.
“How did you get roped into their three-ring circus?”
“Yes, it’s better to stay out of the line of fire, especially where our kids are concerned,” your dad chuckled.
“I don’t mind helping, really,” Jungwoo replied, gaze hesitantly skittering over to you. You gave him an encouraging smile.
Johnny’s mom patted your cheek then. “I’m sure our Y/N must be tired after that trip. We’ll let you all go.”
“Thank you, Auntie,” you said appreciatively, giving her a kiss on the cheek as well as you tried to escape with the other guys.
Before you could fully retreat from the room, however, your mom caught your hand. The two mothers exchanged a look as they gestured for you to stoop down to their level. You obliged.
“Keep an eye on that new one, sweetie,” Mrs. Suh rather obviously pointed to Jungwoo even as she whispered.
“He couldn’t take his eyes off you this whole time,” your mom added, just as hushed as her friend.
“Goodbye, Auntie.” you purposefully ignored their statements, giving them final hugs and kisses goodbye. “Goodbye, Mom.”
As the four of you walked from the front door to Johnny’s waiting car far down the dirt driveway, Jungwoo sidled up to you.
“May I uh… May I know what that was about?” He asked quietly. “When they pointed at me?”
You giggled, stopping to pull on his shoulder and bring his ear down to you. “They were warning me about you. Said you couldn’t take your eyes off me.”
Jungwoo chuckled breathily. “An acute observation.”
“They said I should keep an eye on you.”
“That makes me sound dangerous.”
“Well—”
“Hey!” Johnny called out from the end of the drive, standing at his car and spinning his keys around his finger. “Are you done?”
“I’ve got class tomorrow!” Jaehyun added, though the teasing was apparent in his tone.
“Coming!” You chirped back, starting down the driveway again.
Johnny easily navigated back to your apartment, drumming his thumbs on the steering wheel to the melody playing over his speakers. He finally broke the peaceful quiet in the car as your building was approaching.
“So how long are my parents going to be housing the boat?” He asked dryly.
“Oh, uhm,” you and Jungwoo looked at each other uncertainly. “I’m not sure yet. A few days, maybe more. Is that okay?”
“That’s fine. Just let me know when he’s going back.”
“Right. Yeah.”
He put the car in park and got out to give you one more hug on the sidewalk in front of your building. Your friend let out a deep breath with you still in his arms. “I’m really glad you’re back, Y/N. I’m serious.”
“I know, John,” you replied, hugging him back. “Thank you.”
Waving to Jaehyun through the window, you and Jungwoo headed inside. Thankfully, you hadn’t missed your rent payment while you were gone, so you still had an apartment to go back to. Looking at the day on your phone, you realized that you’d normally have work tomorrow.
“I wonder if I’ve been fired,” you snickered to yourself, closing your front door behind Jungwoo. He looked back at you, clearly worried, but you waved his concern off. “I hated that job anyway.”
The Galarii peered out past your curtains at the full moon in the sky. “It’s late. You should get some rest.”
“I’m not tired,” you admitted. “I think Galarian days are longer or something.”
“Do you remember what you were going to say? In the driveway at Johnny’s parents’ home?”
“Hm? Oh, when you were asking me about what our moms said?” You stretched your arms above your head. “You were confused because they made your interest in me sound dangerous. You almost died because of it, why are you confused about that?”
“I understand how it can be dangerous to me, but that doesn’t happen to you.” He stepped closer to you, cocking his head in confusion.
You sat down on your couch, gesturing for him to sit with you. “To humans, it still can be. Falling in love with the wrong person, exposing yourself like that. It can get you hurt, physically or emotionally. Sometimes they’re a bad person, or sometimes you’re both good people with the right intentions, but it still goes wrong.”
Jungwoo’s eyes widened. “And you still choose to do this? Over and over?”
“Yes, we do,” you laughed. “What other choice do we have?”
In the late afternoon, after you and Jungwoo had finally woken up and eaten breakfast, you went out for a walk at the seaside. Taking a deep breath in, you reveled in the feeling of the warm rays of sun on your skin again.
“Look at that blue sky,” you beamed up appreciatively. “Actually, I think I’m just happy to see any sky again.”
“Really?” Jungwoo prompted you.
“After being underground for so long? Yeah, being in a wide-open space feels good.” You did a big spin with your arms open. The beach was relatively empty in the middle of the week with most everyone at work. “Don’t get me wrong, it was cool to see where you’re from.”
“I like it here too,” he agreed with a smile as you returned to his side, lacing your fingers with his.
“The guys want to get dinner later, by the way,” you informed him. “They’re also happy you’re not dead.”
“That’s kind of them.”
Up ahead was a familiar area of damaged palm trees and brush, slowly beginning to grow back. You pointed to it with a grin, “Look, it’s where we met.”
Jungwoo squinted against the sun, looking at the foliage with interest. “It is?”
“Yep. Looks a bit different in the daytime, huh? And without a spaceship in it?”
“And I don’t think we ever approached it from this side.”
“And there’s no cops.” You pointed out a nearby firepit as you passed it. “That’s where we were all hanging out when you crashed. We thought you were a shooting star at first. Hyuck told everyone to make a wish.”
“Is that a human custom?”
“Superstition, yeah. You’re supposed to make a wish on a shooting star.”
“What did you wish for?”
You grinned. “If you tell, your wish isn’t going to come true.”
“Ah, I see. My apologies.”
“But mine already came true, so there’s no harm in saying, I think.”
Jungwoo looked at you curiously as you continued.
“I wished for something interesting to happen,” you admitted with a knowing smirk. “And the interesting things haven’t stopped since.”
He burst into laughter, halting your leisurely stroll as he clutched his stomach. “S-Seriously?”
“Seriously.” You began listing them off on your fingers, “Alien spaceship crashing right next to us, alien inside spaceship being almost dead, alien declaring I’m his soulmate, alien almost dying again, going to alien’s home planet to keep him from dying, alien getting better and taking me back to Earth. Been pretty interesting.”
He was still laughing, squatting down to try to compose himself.
“So maybe it wasn’t an assassination attempt that made you crash,” you said humorously. “Maybe it was my super powerful wish.”
“But-But I was already crashing when you made that wish,” he pointed out through giggles. “You used my-my crashing spaceship to make your wish.”
“Ah, technicalities.”
Jungwoo stood up on shaky feet, and you offered him your hand to steady him. “I’m starting to think that human choice is a more powerful force than gravity.”
“Really?”
“Or at least your choices.”
You sighed, grabbing his face with two hands to look him in the eye. “Jungwoo, you can’t just say shit like that.”
“Why not?” He asked, eyes carefully watching your expression.
“Because you just called me a cosmic force and that’s definitely the most romantic thing anybody’s ever said to me.”
“What’s wrong with that?”
“Because it makes me want to kiss you stupid on this public beach.”
His breaths trembled in the space between you. “There’s nobody here.”
“You make some good points.” You wrapped your arms around his neck, stopping before your lips met. “Jungwoo.”
“Hm?” His hands had settled on your waist, where they had been when you were dancing together.
“Is this okay? Can I kiss you?”
He swallowed, his eyes on yours as he hurriedly nodded. “Yes.”
You didn’t need to be told twice, slotting your mouths together finally. Jungwoo let out a hum of delight in the back of his throat, the curl at the corner of his lip apparent. His smile only continued to grow with each passing moment as you made good on your promise, bringing a hand around to cup his cheek.
When you dropped back onto flat feet again, he was standing there with a dazed, content smile on his face. His iridophores were no longer just glinting in the sun, they were fully pulsing with a soft, glowing light from under his skin, like a little heartbeat. You reached a hand up towards his cheek, and he stayed still as you traced over them in fascination. After a few moments, the glow faded away, and they were back to their normal reflective state.
“What was that?” You whispered breathlessly. “Are you okay—”
“I’m great,” he promised, taking one of your hands and kissing the back of it. “They’ll do that sometimes. When I’m really happy.”
“God, okay,” you relaxed. “It was like I really did have a fallen star in my hands.”
“If you say something romantic back, does that mean I get to kiss you stupid?”
“This is a concerning precedent I’ve set, isn’t it?”
“It’d only be fair.” He pouted.
You looked around, finding the beach still vacant of other patrons. “Alright, alright.”
After getting dinner with your friends, you and Jungwoo declined any rides offered, taking the long way back to your apartment.
“The guys were happy to hang out with you again,” you said brightly.
“Yes, it was nice to see them all,” Jungwoo replied.
“I can’t believe Hyuck asked you if you had tentacles though, honestly,” you shook your head. “He needs to keep that between him and incognito mode.”
“I take it he wasn’t being scientifically rigorous?”
You snorted, “No.”
You looked up at the navy blue sky, dotted with so few stars.
“What does the night sky look like on Galaria?” You asked Jungwoo. “I didn’t see it while we were there.”
“Many more stars,” he answered quietly. “I think because we don’t have any permanent light fixtures on our surface.”
“Ah, no light pollution. Must be nice.”
“It is.”
There was a comfortable lull in conversation, cars passing by and the distant sounds of city life continuing around you.
“You said once that you wouldn’t be happy behind a desk now that you knew that aliens existed,” Jungwoo recalled. “Since you’ve been to space and have come back home… Do you feel the same? Do you want to stay here?”
You tilted your head back and forth as you thought, still looking up at the stars. Finally, you answered, “While I was on Galaria, I needed to come home, to make sure everyone knew I was okay. And now that I’ve done that, I keep thinking about what we could’ve done on that trip if you hadn’t been, you know, dying.”
His voice was guarded as he prompted, “So you…”
“So if you’re asking me to come with you, Jungwoo, the answer is yes.” You looked over at him knowingly.
“Oh!” His iridophores were glowing again as he wrapped his arms around you tightly, vibrating with energy. “There’s so many places I can take you! You’ll love Irwon, and the lagoons in Til-Wyn, and I need to check that the Nightbringer’s Festival hasn’t happened yet!”
“Sounds like a date,” you grinned, hugging him back. “Several, actually.”
“And we’ll come back to Earth whenever you want. Say the word, and we’ll come right back for you to stay and see your loved ones for as long as you wish.”
“Thank you.” You took his hands as he let you go, catching his eye to tell him sincerely, “And I want to learn Galarii, too. So we can actually communicate, without one of us wearing your transcoder. Even if I speak with a silly human accent because I’m missing a flap or whatever.”
On top of the pulsing iridophores, you saw Jungwoo’s eyes get misty, a tear spilling over on one cheek as he was absolutely beaming down at you.
“Jungwoo are you crying?” You asked in disbelief, wiping at it with your thumb as another fell from his other eye.
“I think I am, yes,” he nodded, feeling at his damp undereyes.
“Tears of joy, I hope?” You continued dabbing at his cheeks as you tried to comfort him through his apparently bewildering situation.
“Do humans do that?”
“Sometimes, yeah.”
He smiled and nodded. “Then yes, that must be it.”
“Oh God, come here.” You pulled him back into your arms. “Seriously, what am I going to do with you?”
He sniffled, then supplemented, “Keep me?”
You giggled and pressed a kiss to cheek, right on his glowing iridophores. “I guess so. Finders keepers, after all.”

KINGDOM HEARTS [ daisuke / reader ]
sneaking contraband on the tulpar was totally worth it, especially when you got to share it with the person you’ve been pining for.
tags / pre-crash | reader & daisuke are the same age & she is also swansea’s intern (original i know). | not connected to the past daisuke fics | heavy mentions of weed but more specifically weed pens. i know it’s not accurate to the timeline nor the job, but if you’re looking for complete accuracy in a smutfic i don’t know what to tell you | weed sex | sloppy oral sex | fingering | daisuke is heavily ooc. this is done purposely given he’s literally smoking. if that’s an issue i’m sorry | soft-dom daisuke | hes very mouthy & kind of desperate | mutual pining | coworkers to more?.. | unrealistic descriptions of weed & sex | etc
notes / given it was mentioned daisuke liked to party back home (and also drink) i thought him smoking was right up his alley. also i feel like with weed or alcohol he definitely isn’t as insecure? idk how to word it but yeah that was my thought process. as always please excuse any typos & grammar mistakes
You never thought you would be ontop of a freighter, dedicating time to listening to some old man drone about machinery whilst in the middle of space. But alas, here you were; inside a ship known as the Tulpar, under the watchful gaze of Pony Express. You should be thankful, not everyone has the same opportunities as you. Back home, you could name quite a few people that would kill for your position.
You couldn’t resist your reluctance, though. Leaving everything behind for several months was more stressful than people believed. A constant routine, consistently having to be proper given this wasn’t home— it was work. Not having your usual comforts of tv, the outside, hell even your vibrator.
At least you remembered the most important thing of all— your weed pen.
It wasn’t a hard task, as you were given the most natural hiding place above the waist; and you were able to sneak extra cartridges between your clothes. A full-proof plan, really. The only issue was finding places to smoke it.
You couldn’t always hole up in your room, duties called after all. So usually you took a few hits in the bathroom, using the excuse of steam to mask the smoke. Or other times you would take a quick hit when the living room was free; the blown up screen a perfect trance for your little high.
No one seemed the wiser, not even your fellow intern; Daisuke, someone you’ve grown to enjoy being around. Despite being the same age you simply weren’t so sure he would be into that type of thing. He looked far too.. innocent. Surely an annoying term to use for a grown man, but still— what else could you say?
Like any other day it was packed with chores, tasks stacking on-top of each other with no end in sight. You tried to be as friendly as possible, but with your secret craving and exhaustion playing at the back of your mind you were sure you came off a little snappy at times.
You would apologize later, possibly blaming it on the stuffy feeling of the ship or worse — your period.
Either way, much to your pleasure, the day had ended; leaving you in the comfort of your bedroom. Sitting on-top of the plush sheets you leaned over to sift through your nightstand, fingers soon coming into contact with a slender, metallic piece. You rose, bringing your pen with you and looking at the contraption with such love.
Your last piece of sanity. As dramatic as it seemed.
Routinely you brought the mouthpiece to your lips, forming around it and taking a slow hit whilst your thumb pressed against the button. Pulling it away, you allowed the smoke to sit— eyes closing to really take it in.
So focused on your relaxation you hadn’t even realized footsteps were approaching your bedroom until it was too late.
“Hey [Name] you wanna play this board game? Anya do—“ The door was opening before you could even respond, causing panic to rush towards your chest. In the midst you began to cough, throat straining as ugly wails escaped; struggling to catch your breath.
Through a blurry gaze, your eyes landed on the culprit of your chaos; spotting Daisuke glancing at you oddly for a moment.
“Are you uh… Do I smell weed?”
“No!”
You managed to let out, followed by wet gasps. Very, very convincing. Your attention turned to the water bottle on-top of your nightstand, snatching it quickly and taking a swig. The cool liquid soothed your throat just a bit, allowing you to relax from the attack.
Slowly you calmed down, taking a deep breath and releasing; all under the gaze of Daisuke, who sported a small grin.
“I know what weed smells like [Name]. And how weed coughs sound.”
You slowly set your water bottle back down, eyes taking the other in with a harsh squint. For a moment the two of you stared at each other silently before you sucked your teeth, letting out a whisper-yell of close the door!
Daisuke was quick to listen, shutting the door closed and crossing your bedroom in record time. He found a spot on the edge of your bed, watching in awe as you pulled a thin device from underneath your sheets. He giggled gently, as if already riding the cloud; leaning his head onto his shoulder.
“How did you even sneak that in?”
“I have my ways Daisuke.” You winked, attention turning to your beloved weed pen. It was a simple white color with a pink rim around the actual button. Small but deadly, given the amount that was inside the device. Plus it didn’t help you had switched cartridges recently.
Your focus then turned to the man, “Wanna hit?”
Daisuke’s eyebrows rose, a nervous laugh escaping him before nodding.
“Hell yeah.”
He leaned over, grasping the pen from your fingers delicately and glancing at it. The intern spun it between his fingers for a moment, gaze turning back to you the moment you spoke;
“You know how to take it, right? Don’t waste my weed.”
“Watch..,” Daisuke brought the piece up to his mouth, lips wrapping around it gently as his thumb pressed against the circular button. With ease he was breathing it in, pulling the pen back— holding the smoke for a moment, before releasing it.
“..— See? I know what I’m doing.”
He certainly does.. You thought to yourself, suddenly growing a bit hot. You sat up, legs crossing as you reached for your pen.
“I’m impressed, didn’t take you for a smoker.”
Daisuke shrugged, a lazy smile on his face as he laid across your bed. His elbow dug into the plush mattress, a soft cheek resting to his palm.
“I only did it recreationally, at parties and stuff.”
You hummed in response, slightly entertained by the reveal of such information. Daisuke had subtly mentioned before his activities but you didn’t always believe him. He just didn’t seem like the type. More like a little fawn desperate to gain the approval of his superior, not some party animal. But, looks were deceiving after all.
Especially when said fawn was hitting your pen way better than you did.
You pressed your lips to the pen, tapping it there for a moment before a question crept from your throat;
“You know any tricks?”
Daisuke pursed his lips a bit, slowly shaking his head. You were quick to smile, bringing your finger up.
“I know this one, watch.”
With that you were taking a hit, bringing the pen down to your lap. Daisuke focused on you, watching intently as you.. mouthed? He hadn’t a clue what you were attempting to do, nor was he sure you did either— given you suddenly pushed the smoke from your mouth, quick coughs escaping you.
The man was quick to laugh, grinning ear to ear as a flush of red spread across tanned skin. You struggled for breath, little tears threatening to spill as you held your finger back up.
“I got it, I got it!”
You were desperate to show off, even if it risked getting far too high. You lifted the pen back up, taking another strong hit before dropping it back to your lap. You started off strong, breathing the smoke in— struggling not to giggle when you heard Daisuke small sounds of encouragement.
Yet as strong as you started you failed all the same, doubling over to cough into your blankets; cheeks hot the moment you noticed Daisuke practically falling off your bed with laughter.
“How were you worried about me wasting it?”
“Shut up!” You huffed, though snorting. You could nearly curse yourself for not sharing your little secret sooner. As much as smoking was a delight, it was even better doing it with someone else. Especially someone as fun as Daisuke.
You slowly rose from your position, taking deep breaths to relax as you glanced at the man who was currently doing the same.
“Okay, so.. I don’t know a trick.”
Daisuke gave a really? expression, quickly raising his hands when you tossed a pillow in his direction. Pulling the plush item down to his lap with a playful huff, the man watched as you lifted the pen again.
“But.. I do know this one thing.”
“Yeah? What’s that?”
You gave a playful smile, “Shotgunning. You know, passing smoke back and forth.”
His shoulders seemed to straighten, sitting up tall and laying his hands onto the pillow in his lap. An unreadable expression crossed his features, hands crossing to allow his fingers to glide across his silver rings.
“I know what that is.”
Your eyebrow rose, though silently taking in the information. Whether a buzz of jealousy or excitement trickled down your spine, you will never known; as it was quickly washed away with warmth. One such sensation that collected at the pit of your stomach the moment Daisuke reached over for the pen.
“It’ll be better if I do it first.”
The man softly explained, to your puzzled expression. You slowly nodded in turn, watching as he brought the pen to his mouth. A single moment passed before he even took a hit, maybe allowing you time to back out. But you didn’t, watching intently as the man sucked in the smoke— eyes flicking to you with slightly puffed cheeks.
That was your cue. You shuffled from your spot at the head of your bed, coming close enough that your knees were practically touching. You pressed down on the bed to steady yourself, lips parting carefully. Daisuke drew closer, just a breaths away, yet lips not touching. His eyes glanced from your own to your lips, a soft grumble of disapproval rolling at the back of his throat.
Before you could think you felt his fingers tracing your chin, a thumb pressing against the space.
“Like this..” He said rather tight lipped, widening your mouth carefully. Once satisfied Daisuke blew the smoke from his mouth to your own, watching as the white cloud rolled in flowing tendrils, filling your senses the moment it made contact.
You sucked it in, shivering at the sensation and rather heated exchange. You’ve always imagined shotgunning to be rather.. intimate. You were sharing smoke with someone, after all. But, intimate just didn’t seem like a fitting word. At all. This was something beyond it, completely.
As the moment the smoke was touching your tongue, it was as if you could spot Daisuke’s thoughts sprawled across his forehead. Never mind the way those pretty, almond— slowly reddening eyes took you in far too intently.
You backed away a little, releasing a heavy breath straight from your chest. You glanced down before allowing your gaze to land upon the other intern, spotting his eyes already fixated upon you.
“You wanna go again?”
You tried not to nod so excitedly, but with the smoke clouding your focus and the absolute want running through your body— you were sure you looked like an idiotic bobble head. Daisuke either was too high to notice or decided against it anyway, as he was passing your pen back in record time, sitting up and watching.
You took the pen, mirroring his previous movements. Allowing the pen to fall in your lap after, you leaned a bit closer— just as Daisuke did the same. Only this time it was far too close. Your lips briefly touched, only for a moment almost unrecognizable. Yet, you both knew the other felt it.
You decided to ignore it. It meant nothing, right? Simply an accident bound to happen.
You parted your lips, a soft sound escaping as you blew the smoke into his mouth, watching Daisuke consume it eagerly. Sucking up each puffy white cloud under your watchful gaze, he allowed it to dance upon his tongue for a moment before blowing it right back into your mouth.
Just as he closed the distance between the two of you.
You groaned softly, eyes pinched closed as the high of the weed and his lips ran through your entire body. You felt it all the way from your head, to your toes; nerves on fire, as if ready to burst. You were quick to grab him, needing an anchor as the bold kiss quickly muddled your brain. Your fingers curled into his half-dyed hair, twirling soft tresses between the digits and tugging.
Daisuke whimpered right into your mouth, a sound that caused your legs to squeeze and eyebrows to furrow. You felt him moving for a moment before his hands were tracing your body; one finding your waist while the other gently grasped the back of your neck. There, with a tiny push, the man deepened the kiss— tugging you even closer by the waist.
Your arms stretched out, linking around his neck and meeting his eagerness wholeheartedly. You were pleasantly surprised by the sudden 180 of his personality. You especially didn’t take such a clueless, seemingly naive man to be such a good kisser.
But here you were, under his mercy— barely able to keep up with the sloppy lip locking. And with each squeeze of your waist, your mind was spiraling further and further. Again, you could only curse yourself for withholding the weed for this long.
“Wa..wanna touch you..” The words were pushed against your lips so messily you nearly hadn’t heard. Except, they fell from Daisuke’s mouth again; only this time not as muffled given he was pulling away from your lips. His forehead pressed against your own, alternating squeezes on your neck and waist, heavy breaths causing his chest to rise and fall.
“You wanna touch me?”
“So..so bad. I have for a while.” The words came out in drawl as if he was drunk rather than high, red eyes lifting from your lap to your own. “Please, let me?”
He was so desperate, Daisuke’s usual personality peeking through his high facade. The only thing missing was his hands clasped together and whimpers. It was a sight you enjoyed, devouring it greedily with your eyes.
Instead of speaking you slammed your lips back to his own, hands reaching to find his wrists. Once doing so you made his hands drag from your shoulders, down your tummy, hips, and thighs— back and forth, back and forth.. teasing him. It seemed to work as the kiss got even more desperate, his fingers twitching under your hold.
And the moment you released his wrists, Daisuke was all over you— only this time he had full control. The man made quick work of fitting his fingers underneath the shirt you wore, warm digits spanning across your soft stomach. They then rose, flinching the moment they came into contact with your naked breasts— yet eagerly grasping them; cold silver rings digging into your hot flesh.
You sighed into his mouth, grasping his arms and slowly lowering yourself onto your back, pulling him on-top of you. Little sparks of pleasure danced down your spine as he squeezed your breasts, pushing up your shirt to reveal your chest to the muddy air.
The two of you parted, a sticky string connecting your bottom lips together— which broke the moment his head lowered, lips finding a breast. A sloppy kiss was stamped right against your nipple, the swollen bud soon being enveloped by his warm mouth. You stifled a sweet moan, hands finding its place back in his hair, tugging as his tongue swept and circled your areola.
You felt spit trickle at the corner of his mouth from all the attention, sucks only becoming more ferocious as time passed. Caught up in the pleasure you hadn’t realized a hand was descending down your body, not until two fingers were tugging your pants enough that his hand fit through.
Daisuke’s fingers spread across your clothed cunt, finding the edge of your panties and tugging it to the side. There, he was free to spread you, revealing your sopping bud to his finger. He dragged his digit up and down for a moment before running little circles onto your clit.
“Dai..daisuke..—“ You whined softly, nails dragging against his scalp as your thighs twitched. “T—take my pants off, please!”
The man smiled right against your chest, though obliged and with your help, pushed your pants and underwear off your body and down to the bottom of the bed. Now free your legs were spreading easily, hissing as his thumb dragged across your clit whilst another digit circled your wet hole.
Daisuke lifted from your chest, watching with reddened eyes as his finger sunk in all the way to the knuckle. Your walls were warm, enveloping and sucking him in greedily. With each breath you were squeezing, making it just a bit hard for him to move. But, Daisuke didn’t plan to give up now, seeing as — with some effort — he was curling the finger, eyes flicking to your face the moment the prettiest moan fell from your lips.
“That felt good..?” The words fell out as a question more to himself rather than you and instead of waiting, the man repeated his action; only this time a little more confident. And once he received the reaction he was looking for — another breathy moan — Daisuke was more than happy to continue.
Your gasps quickly mixed in with the sounds of your wetness, spongy sounds that echoed with each push of his finger. Curling and fingering, you groaned the moment another digit crept, scissoring inside you. Your thighs were closing at this point, getting overwhelmed with pleasure. You’ve touched yourself while high and as fun as it was, this experience was completely different.
You were sensitive, every sensation on hundred with no chance of coming down. Daisuke’s only been playing with you for a moment and already you felt that familiar band deep in your stomach.
In the midst of your pleasure you hadn’t even realized your thighs were nearly shut until Daisuke quickly slid his free hand to your thigh, pushing and spreading you open.
“I wanna see.”
He said far too calmly, eyes flicking from your face and back to your pretty cunt. Daisuke couldn’t helped but be entranced, watching his fingers disappear and reappear, coated in your arousal. The man swore under his breath, nails dragging against your thigh. He wondered if.. you would let him get a taste? The thought alone nearly made him come in his pants, eating you out just seemed like the second best thing to sharing that weed with you.
Without thinking Daisuke’s face was lowering to your cunt, mouth parted as bated breath fanned against your slick slit. With no warning his tongue was stretching, licking at your bud— quickly glancing at your face for a reaction. He was pleased to see your glossy red eyes and swollen lips open as a pretty gasp escaped your throat. Your fingers tugged at his hair so desperately, back arching as the man’s tongue swiped against you once again— only dragging the thick muscle, allowing you to feel its entire length.
“Please, please..!” You hadn’t a clue why you were pleading, but it seemed Daisuke did— given he repeated that action once more, circling the tip of his tongue along your clit. Little tears threatened to spill from your eyes, hips lifting and grinding into his face; which only resulted in an encouraging squeeze on your thigh.
Moments of this intense pleasure passed before you were practically sitting up, struggling to stifle the harsh moan that escaped you. With a squeeze around his fingers you were coming undone, coating his face with your mess. Daisuke was far too happy to lap you up, cleaning you throughly and refusing to waste a single drop.
Eventually you had to push at his forehead to get him away, groaning as the sensitivity playing at your aching cunt. Reluctantly the man pulled away, pulling his fingers from within you and rubbing his hand across your thigh— soothing you.
“Hopefully you didn’t wake the others.” Daisuke hummed with a small grin, chuckling at the frown you sent his way. He moved to hover above you, leaning onto his forearm and planting a wet kiss to your lips. You mewled from your own taste; hands trailing to tickle the back of his neck.
“We should have done this a long time ago..”
You murmured softly, hearing his own grumble of approval. The kiss continued until you pulled away, hands trekking down to cover his cheeks.
“Daisuke.. as much as I want to continue.. I’m really, really hungry.”
Taking your words in for a moment, the man couldn’t help but release a short laugh, patting the side of your thigh as he sat up from his hovering.
“I’ll be right back. Don’t move.”
With that promise, Daisuke was adjusting his clothes before waltzing towards your bedroom door, opening and exiting — probably off to snatch something from the Tulpar’s kitchen.
You certainly hopped no one was awake to notice his red eyes and extremely wet face.

AND IT FITS SO WELL COS IVE ALWAYS SEEN EVAN AS THIS SORT OF MASC(KINDA SCARY TO PEOPLE HE DOESNT KNOW) ACE GUY BUT LIKE AT THE SAME TIME HE'LL GO TO MARDI GRAS AND WEAR A BRIGHT PINK G-STRING ON HIS HEAD AND ALSO HAS THE CUTEST SMILE AND LOVES HIS GRANDMA(I THINK HE GOT KICKED OUT BY HIS DAD AND MOVED IN WITH HIS GRAN LIKE DARCY IN HEART STOPPER. THE FANDOM CROSSOVERS IN MY HC ARE CRAZY)
WHEREAS BARTY IS THIS(ALSO KINDA SCARY) MORE ANDROGYNOUS GUY(IK DARRENS NB BTW BUT I STAN FTM BARTY WHOS SO FUCKING PETTY HE NAMES HIMSELF AFTER HIS TRANSPHOBIC FATHER) IN THE WAY HE ACTS AND DRESSES ETC ETC BARTY WEARS SKIRTS. BUT ALSO ITS BEEN PRETTY WIDELY AGREED UPON IN THE FANDOM THAT BARTY IS A VERY SEXUAL PERSON(*COUGH COUGH DARREN*) WHO NOBODY WOULD EXPECT TO GO OUT WITH AN ACE PERSON. IN FACT I DOUBT HE HAD ACTUALLY HAD ANY REAL RELATIONSHIPS BEFORE, WETHER IT WAS BECAUSE HE ONLY WANTED SEX FROM THEM BC HE WASNT, UNBEKNOWNST TO HIM, IN LOVE WITH EVAN(OR IS DEMIROMANTIC AND NEVER WAS ABLE TO KNOW PEOPLE LONG ENOUGH TO REALLY FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT THEM. < I STAN DEMIROMANTIC BARTY SO HARD)
OR(THIS IS IMPORTANT IT NEEDS ITS OWN PARAGRAPH) BECAUSE OF HIS REPUTATION AS SOMEONE WHO SLEEPS AROUND(SINCE HE WOULD NEVER INITIALLY HAVE FEELINGS PEOPLE ASSUMED A RELATIONSHIP WASNT WHAT HE WANTED WHEN REALLY IT WAS BUT HE NEEDED TO GET TO KNOW THE PERSON MORE TO LIKE THEM THAT WAY BUT THEY WERE GONE BEFORE HE COULD) PEOPLE WOULDNT REALLY ASK HIM OUT OR EVEN TRY TO GET TO KNOW HIM, EVEN IF HE SUGGESTED GOING ON DATES OR SAID HE WANTED MORE THAN JS SEX BUT HE WANTED TO GET TO KNOW THEM FIRST. AND THEYD JS USE HIM FOR SEX.
OBVIOUSLY IN THE 70S THEY DIDNT HAVE LABELS FOR THESE THINGS(HELL IVE WATCHED 2000S SHOWS WHERE PEOPLE ARENT EVEN AWARE OF BI PEOPLE EXISTING) SO BARTY WOULD THINK THAT SINCE HE DIDNT INITIALLY HAVE FEELINGS THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIM(SIMILARLY TO EVAN IN YOUR MICROFIC) AND HE WOULD LISTEN TO DORCAS TALK ABOUT THE GRYFFINDOR BEATER WHO SHES ONLY TALKED TO A COUPLE TIMES, SAYING HOW MUCH SHE HATES HER(WHEN ITS CLEAR THAT SHE DOESNT). AND HED SEE PANDORA PRACTICALLY WORSHIPPING THIS PERSON SHES HAD ONE CONVERSATION WITH(XENOPHILIUS OR LILY, TAKE YOUR PICK). AND REGULUS, TALKING ABOUT JAMES; "WHY DOES HE HAVE TO BE SO FUCKING CONSIDERATE". AND SURE, THEY TALK ABOUT HOW HOT THESE PEOPLE ARE(DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY) BUT MORE OFTEN THAN NOT THEY PREFER TO SWOON OVER THEIR PERSONALITIES AND THE THINGS THEY DO AND HOW THEY TREAT OTHER PEOPLE.
SO HE THINKS THERES SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIM UNTIL HE REALISES HE FEELS THAT WAY ABOUT EVAN AND EVERYTHING FALLS INTO PLACE.
to be clear i dont think darren is demiromantic i js got carried away from comparing rosekiller to... da$h? idk their ship name.
i literally just woke up i wrote so much oml

“Barty! I’m not wired that way! I can’t make you happy”
“I don’t need sex to be happy, Ev! I want you for who you are!” Barty yelled, trying to get Evan to believe him.
Evan’s hands flew above his head. “Why?! I’m a freak. I’m a- a monster!”
“Evan, no. That is not true” except Evan still had his doubts.
“Rosie… I love you, and I’ll love you even if you are a monster. We can be monsters together”
“But you love sex”
“I do, but not enough that it’s gonna stop me from being with the person I love” sitting next to Evan on the bed, Barty put an arm around him. “Trust me, I can live without it”
“How long have you ever gone without… having sex?”
“I don’t know. Like, four months” he answered truthfully.
“Right. And so you’d be totally fine if we never did it at all?”
“How many times do I have to say that I don’t need sex to be happy?” He said with a chuckle.
Evan had an unsure smile on his face. Barty needed him to know that he loved him no matter what.
“Evan, you mean the world to me. You have accepted and loved me despite all my shit. Let me do the same for you”
Evan’s hands made their way to Barty’s thighs and pulled him into his lap to straddle him.
“Geez, Bee… you are an angel sent from fucking heaven. You know that?”
“More like a demon from hell” Barty replied, wrapping his arms around the other boys neck.
“Demons were all once angels”
“Well, you seem to be feeling a bit better” Barty said with a light giggle, running his hands through Evan’s hair.
“Yeah. A little”
“I love you, Rosie”
“I know” he said, pressing a kiss to Barty’s lips. “I love you too, Bat”
Evan was truly grateful to have Barty. No one was like him. No one was as accepting and understanding. He really was an angel, despite what others thought of him, and especially what Barty thought of himself.
They were both fucked up, yes. But they had each other. They were made for each other. Evan had always known that but now… now it was clearer. Now, he knew he and Barty would be together forever, no matter what they were, or what they went through.
Evan sighed with his forehead pressed to Barty’s and whispered “Je t'aime tellement, mon ange”

I just love them so much, though Twilight has always been my favorite. Sunset is too, but Twilight is the number one.
I love this ship so much.
They're so different, yet so similar.
They both have matching color palettes, sky names, were a student of Celestia, are both smart, both interested in magic, share both ex boyfriends, they are so cute together.
I genuinely don't understand why this ship isn't that popular, especially when there's so much lore we have and what we can do with them :)
I hc Twilight as book smart, and Sunset as street smart. They're both in their own ways.
Twilight is a night owl, while Sunset is more of an early bird.

i loved the sort of gritty but beautiful realism of tavullia radio + was seeing your marc and alex siblinghood thoughts earlier today, and i was wondering if you had any thought about how you would explore the brothers marquez dynamic or any moment between them in the tavullia radio universe or like, in that style...
Thank youuuu <3 <3 More tavullia radio! I love this verse haha. Follows directly from here, but can be read alone. CW for some nausea i guess.
“No, I don’t know,” Marc says into the phone. He is drinking a warm cola because some old man seems to have once told Valentino that that is good for an upset stomach. “Do they have Buscapidol here?”
“Hold on, I’ll look it up,” Alex says down the line, fuzzy through his shit airpods. They’re not facetiming because Marc has had enough being looked at today. The ranch on a silent Sunday is a strange place to be ill. The ranch building itself, the old farmhouse part, is homey, but if you go out into the repurposed barn it’s all white linoleum and rows of bikes, stacks of merchandise, receipts on the floor of the shipping station.
“I don’t think so,” Alex is saying apologetically. “But I guess it’s just peppermint oil. Does he have peppermint oil?”
“I don’t know. It’s Sunday, is anything even open here?”
“You’re thinking of Austria. The pharmacy should be open, just limited hours,” Alex said. “Maybe you can just order Buscapidol, like, overnight it?”
Marc burped.
“Gross,” Alex added.
“It’s just the cola making me burp,” Marc complained. “He gave me warm cola.”
Alex seemed to pause. There was shuffling on the other end of the line, and the sound of Alex closing their medicine cabinet, where he had been reading off names of things because Marc couldn’t remember what he usually wanted: Toshedra syrup, Diarfin Flas, Voltadol — no, it’s the dressing, Marc — Cola de Caballo, Ibudol, three different types of Dolovanz Forte next to the prescriptions.
“Cola?” he said, “Like soda?”
“Yeah.”
“Is it helping?”
“Yeah,” Marc said thoughtfully, and burped again.
“I’ll start burping at you too,” Alex threatened.
“Hey, I’m sick,” Marc said.
“Is it….”
“It’s okay, yeah. It’s really quiet here when no one is around. Or—no, someone’s in the yard, I think. Looks like Franky?”
He leans forward and squints out the window. The movement doesn’t throw him back into nausea, which is very nice.
“Are you outside?” Alex asks, surprised.
“No, the living room. There’s a fireplace.” He’d been worried that the smell would set him off, but the cola seems to be helping with that too. “Want me to say hi to Franky for you?”
He hears Alex swallow. “Nah, don’t get up,” he says. “Where is he?”
“Franky?”
“No.”
Marc leans back on the sofa, sighs, eyes closed. “I told him I wanted an hour in the quiet. He gave me the house for it, I guess.”
Alex almost laughs, though Marc's not sure at which part. Small win.
“You know, this was a pretty weird call to get,” Alex says, not bothering to be very faux-casual about it.
“Uh huh,” Marc grunts, pretty sure where this is going. He looks out the window again. Franky is pulling along one of the training bikes, gesturing at something that is wrong with it. Maybe the front suspension. Presumably, around the windy corner of the house is Valentino, talking back. The house is quiet, settling. For a room designed to cater to something like forty teenage boys, this corner sofa by the fireplace is pretty nice.
“Because I thought you were still doing filming in—”
“Yes, yes, I just came for a few days. I was supposed to fly back tonight.”
A pause. It’s a relief, actually, to clear the air a little.
“Ask at the pharmacy if they have any peppermint drops or whatever. That’s all Buscapidol is,” Alex tells him. He is not exactly forgiven.
“It’s not the same,” Marc says, listening to Alex wander through rooms of their house, shutting doors.
“Better yet, tell him to go get it,” Alex says. “And when you get back, open your mail, Jesus—” the sound of scattered packages on the kitchen island. “Yeah, once he’s done giving you cola and the house or whatever.”
“Yes, yes,” Marc says, laughing. He doesn’t feel so good. Probably time to go hide in Valentino’s bathroom again. “Okay, I should go.”
“Okay,” Alex says, “Okay, okay—don’t forget about the mail.” The call cuts.

To say you loved your life was a criminal understatement. You lived in a life of luxury that few could ever even conceive possible. You had the finest foods, a soft warm bed, and the knowledge that you were probably the safest person in the entire universe. All you had to do was be the best little pet for the head of the ship, Jago Sevatarion. He was a dominating figure both in and out of your shared room with his pitch-black eyes and scar that split his face eye to upper lip. But once you two were alone together, he was more than attentive.
You roused from your little nap at the sound of familiar footsteps echo down the hall towards your room. Rolling into your side to face the door, you cozy into the little nest of pillows, sinfully soft blankets, and stuffed animals from all the planets your floating world in the cage Sev had provided for you. Your favorite stuffie was a large teddy bear that was almost as big as you that you would cuddle during the nights Sev was planet side. Your own safe space in the dark ship for when he wasn’t around to protect you, saying once he didn’t trust his brothers that shared the ship with you sending warmth through your body at the thought that he cared for you so much that he gave you this wonderful spot.
Knowing the rules for when your Master entered the room, you lazily dug yourself out of the pile of fluff sitting on your knees and straightened the collar so that the tag with Sev’s name sat perfectly between your collar bones. You wore it with pride and loved when you were let out to walk the ship with him and his brothers and the serfs could see who you belonged to, who controlled your entire world. It is the only thing you were allowed to wear along with the cuffs on both of your ankles with their little bells.
The chill of the room sent a shiver down your spine, causing your nipples to harden. The heavy door opened, and your heart skipped a beat as it always did when Sev came into the room, if you had a tail, it would have been going crazy at the sight of him. Letting the door close and lock behind him, Jago walked over to the table that held the tools and supplies to maintenance his weapons and armor. You watched him longing as he slowly removed each piece of his heavy armor. You could see new scratches and dents from his latest time on the surface of the planet he was currently in charge of.
You didn’t know exactly what he did there, simply telling you that it was no concern of pets what their Masters did. All you knew is that sometimes it was a hard job he did, sometimes coming back and leaving you in your cage for days as he would sleep and leave again. Somedays he would let you out just to lick him clean of the dark metallic substance that would cover his boots, hands, and face. One those days he would fuck you for his release only just to lock you away again. Yelling if he caught you trying to get yourself off. You feared today would be one of those days. He hadn’t spoken to you, let alone touched you for what felt like a week and the ache in your sex grew each day you watched him leave.
Once Jago had finished, he stripped himself out of the skintight black suit that provided insulation. Your mouth watered as you saw his heavy cock for the first time that day. A needy whine involuntarily escaped your throat as you watched him lazily stroke it, trying to return some blood flow to it after being held in by the tight undersuit. Jagos eyes looked over at you slowly, the warning clear. You weren’t allowed to make any sounds until he permits you. He took that privilege away from you some months ago when you kept bombarding him with questions about his time off the ship. You had only forgotten that rule once and it had taken the bruises on your ass a week to fade from the punishment. Snapping your mouth shut and turning your eyes down, you tried to pull yourself together as to not annoy your Master again.
A few moments of silence passed until you could hear the dull thuds of his bare feet walking toward you. Once they stopped, he lightly kicked the cage to grab your attention. With a jump from the sudden sound of the kick drew your eyes up to meet him. He stood just inches from the cage, still lazily stroking his now half hard cock. Your eyes grew wide, pleading with them to let you touch it, to taste it, to feel its weight pressed on your tongue. This little trick would work on occasion but on this day, Sev was not feeling so kind. He just continued to stroke himself until you could see the veins that deliciously start to bulge out. His other hand coming down to play with his balls as high breathing started to quicken. All the while all you could do was watch longingly at his cock as the first few drops of pre cum dribbled out, wishing to run your tongue against the tip of the head to taste him.
After a few more quick pumps, he was cumming on the bars of the cage. Some of it making it onto your face and chest. Feeling the warm liquid drip down your skin sent a rush of slick out of your needy pussy. Once he was done, he turned and walked toward the shower in the adjoining bathroom, calling over your shoulder, “Clean it up before I return.” The command punctuated with the closing of the bathroom door.
You sat there, half stunned, half desperate for a moment. It wasn’t unusual for Sav to cover you in his cum, sometimes he would even make you walk the halls of the ship with it dripping down your face and chest, but never had he denied you from helping. The sound of the shower turning on and the muffled hum of Sev brought you back to reality and you began to clean his mess. Deciding to start with the cage bars, you began collecting his seed with your fingers, curling them around each bar to make sure every drop is dealt with. After each pass, you brought your fingers to your mouth, savoring the slight salty flavor of his cum. The flavor coated your tongue with each new cleaning of your fingers. You could feel as it slipped to the back of your throat and down into your belly, causing you to double your efforts with pathetic desperation. All you could think about was his cum. When the bars were almost clean you began to use your tongue, curling the muscle around each cold bar, imagining you were given the honor of cleaning off the cold metal of his power armor.
With the bars clean, you turned to clean yourself. Dragging your hand over your chest to collect the slowly cooling seed, letting it cover your nipples in a little act of defiance of being denied some sort of pleasure. Bringing your hand back to your mouth to clean it, you finish by cleaning your face just as you hear the water stop. Looking around you decided that you had done the best that you could and waited for your Master to return to you so he could see how good of a job you had done.
Sev returned to the main room in a cloud of steam, a towel loosely wrapped around his waist. He walked over to your cage and inspected it for a long moment before looking at you, a slight smile turning up the damaged part of his face. “What a good girl,” he said while bending slightly to finally let you out of your cage. A smile tearing across your face as his praise washes over you. Once the door is opened, you crawl out, stretching out your limbs, enjoying the slight soreness from being confined in the small space for so long.
Sev walked over and sat on the bed, reaching into the drawer of the bedside table to pull out the brush he had bought for you. You watched him patiently until he was ready for you. “Come now pet, its time to brush you out,” he called to you.
You obediently crawled over on your hands and knees to him the bells on your ankle cuffs jingling lightly with each movement, a sweet reminder that your wonderful Master would always be able to find you no matter where you went off to. At his feet Sev patted his legs and you carefully climbed up onto him, sitting with your back to him, he began softly brushing your hair. It had been a few months since he brushed it for you. Recently you had to get yourself ready for anytime he wanted you, too tired to do it. Whatever changed this day you didn’t care. You loved the feeling of his large hands holding you, moving you where he needed you. You bathed in the affection he gave you when he tenderly detangled your hair, he hated if he got tangled in it when he would pull your hair.
“You may speak now, little one,” he said as he worked the soft brush down through the ends of your hair.
“Thank you, Sir. I have missed you,” your voice harsh with disuse.
He only hummed his response as he reached back into the drawer for a ribbon to tie your hair back. “You will accompany me today on the deck. You will be on your best behavior and do whatever I tell you,” He told you as he tied it into a bow, “We will be having guests.”
It wasn’t common for guests to come aboard but it was an even rarer case for you to be allowed to join Sev as he entertained them. “Where will I be, Sir?” curiosity overcoming you. “You will kneel by my feet at the captain’s chair. If the meeting runs longer than expected I may allow you nap at my feet,” he told you as he finished with your hair and put away the brush. Pulling you closer to his chest, causing your legs to slide to the outside of his, opening you, “First we must take care of something here,” he purred into your ear as he brought one of his large hands to cup your sex. “My my, little pet you are so wet.”
Your eyes closed on their own as you felt his fingers start to slip between your lower lips, spreading your wetness over your cunt. “Y-yes Sir. I was a good girl, and I waited,” it came out as a shudder as Sev started to slowly roll your sensitive clit between his fingers.
“Yes, you have been my sweetling and as a treat I will give you a gift,” Sev kept working your clit, tightening the coil in your lower belly, moving his other hand down to begin to finger you. A moan fell from your gaping mouth as your hole stretched around two of his large fingers. Pumping them in and out of you at a steady pace causing your slick to begin to drip down his hand.
He began nipping at your neck, “You take my fingers so well. That’s it, work yourself open for me.”
His teeth biting into your neck shot fire through you, his sharp teeth leaving marks on your skin. Humping back onto his fingers doubling your efforts, bracing your hands on his knees so you wouldn’t lose your balance. Your needy and pathetic moans echo around the room mixing with the obscene squelching of Sev’s fingers in your sopping pussy. Your muscles tightening around him as your climax built up in you.
Feeling your pussy pull him deeper in, Sev let out a groan and pulled both of his hands away from you. Leaving you on the brink of an orgasm. You let out a cry at the loss of stimulation. Your cunt feeling painfully empty. Before you could ask why, Sev lifted you up easily and set you down on his cock. Not giving you any moment to adjust to the sheer size of him, his fingers being little help to work you open. He began fucking into you with his own desperation for release now.
“So tight, so warm. My pet perfect just for me,” Sev growled into your neck. “A little toy just for me, to use and fill as I want. Isn’t that right pet?”
“Y-yes!” was all you could get out as he pushed himself deeper into you, feeling him push against your womb.
“Yes what?” he said, bringing a hand up to pull painfully at your nipple. His displeasure in your pathetic answer clear.
“Yes Sir! I am your good pet! So good! My cunt made just for you,” you began to cry as your orgasm built back up, the rough thrusting of his cock in you becoming almost too much to bear.
“Good girl. Yes, your pussy is just for me,” taking his hand from your nipple back down to your clit, pinching it between his fingers. A scream mixed with a moan leave you at the new sensation. “Would you like your gift now?” he said in between his thrusts into you.
“Please! Yes, Sir please. I’ve been good,” your head was starting to spin with the overwhelming pleasure coursing through your body.
Moaning into you, he quickened his pace, bringing his other hand to rest just below your belly button. You knew he could feel himself just below your skin. “My good girl deserves her treat. I’m going to cum in you. Fill you up till your belly bulges. How does that sound?” You could only nod your head, unable to form words. The only sound your body could produce was your desperate moans.
“I’ll fuck my cum into your pretty womb. Fill it with my seed till your round with my sons,” his rhythm skipping as he approached his climax, “Keep you fat with my children. Let everyone see that my pet was a greedy whore for my cum.” Weak pleas fell from your lips, trying to let your Master know that you wanted nothing more than to show off your devotion to him by carrying his sons.
A few more thrusts and he was filling you, his cum warming your belly. True to his word he filled you until a little bulged formed just under his hand on your belly. You followed him soon after feeling his cum in you. Your pussy gripping down onto his cock, milking him empty. Falling back against him as your body went limp with the power of your orgasm. Sev slowly rubbing your middle, nuzzling his nose into your hair. “You took me so well, sweetling. We must go now though. Our guests will be arriving soon, and I don’t want to be the last to show,” he said as he slowly pulled out of you. Some of his cum leaked out and he placed a hand over your hole. “No no, be a good girl and keep it in you. I don’t want my gift to go to waste.”
Too tired to speak, you weakly nod, trying your best to tighten your abused hole to keep his seed inside of you. He let you catch your breath a moment longer before pushing you off his lap and onto your feet, steading you as you regained your balance. Grabbing your hand, he led you over to the table with his armor so that you would be able to put it back on him. Trying your hardest to focus on the task as the after glow of your orgasm radiated through you.
Once he was redressed and armored, he turned to you, lifting your chin up with one of his fingers so that he could place the tenderest kiss against your lips. You melted into his touch as a purr came from your chest. Sev pulled back, a small smile on his lips as he tidied your hair back up. Taking a golden chain that sat on the edge of the table, he hooked one end onto your collar and the other to a ring on his hip, connecting you to him.
Leading you out of the room you fell into step behind him, as you both walked toward the helm. Your head held high as the other occupants of the ship averted their eyes as you and your Master walked past. You could feel his cum slowly leak out with every step you took, one of your hands coming to rest where your womb would be. Pride filling you as you thought about becoming pregnant with his sons and wishing that this time will be the one that does it.

My Sweetest Obsession
Twice Sana!Sub x Female Reader!Dom
5k Words
Content Warning: smut, fingering, oral, pussy slapping, praise, edging, use of toys, situation-ship, little bit of angst
Minors DNI
A/N: I wrote this one to honor what is potientially one of my favorite songs this year. I watch their performance of sweetest obsession daily and not just because of the hilarious sanayeon kiss. The song is so good and it sounds like pure, authentic TWICE, can't wait to have it on my playlist Friday.
Like I said, i'm not too confident in my writing or my creativity when it comes to writing more plot based fics. I hope it makes sense to everyone reading!!!
On another note I got a really good request and I'll be posting that very soon. (Yes it will be fem reader)
Anyways, enjoy this one! It has more plot.
-
"I really fucking hate you"
-
"I think we should stop seeing each other"
It's the first thing that comes out of Sana's mouth the moment you open the door. You stand there for a moment, hand on your doorknob when your eyes immediately notice her appearance. She was nothing short of breathtaking, like always. "You came all dressed up just to see me?" a smile grows on your face as you purposely fail to process or acknowledge her words.
Sana rolls her eyes, pushing past you to enter your apartment "I had a few errands to run before I came here" She kicks her shoes off and takes a seat on your couch.
You close the door, "And you just figured you'd stop by to what? break up with me?" Your tone is sarcastic and it causes Sana to scoff.
"For me to break up with you, you'd have to be my girlfriend" You walk into your kitchen, deciding that now would be a better time than any to knock back a drink or two as she tries to end things with you. Again. "Beer?" You offer, opening the fridge and taking out two after hearing her hum in response. You walk to the couch and hand her a drink before sitting next to her.
"So let me get this straight" You open the bottle and take a sip "You don't think were basically a couple by now?" She nods "We fuck maybe five times a week" you mention and she just nods again "You have an entire drawer here with your clothes in it" You gesture in the direction of your bedroom and she nods "You also call me babe and baby among other cute pet names" You mock her tone which makes her laugh a bit and you watch the moment as she drinks from the bottle. How her lips come into contact with the rim, smushing a bit against the hard glass surface and the way her eyes squint at the first taste of the bitter substance.
"The bottom line is that we never made anything official Y/n, so all that stuff doesn't matter" She looks a bit more serious about what she's about to say "We just can't be together"
"But you like me" You say and a hum escapes her lips "And I like you so..."
"So?"
"Then why can't you just be my girlfriend?"
Sana gives you a look, it isn't her usual annoyance or the subtle eye roll or even a huff. You observe that it's kind of serious and you should probably listen to what she has to say next. "That's what I came here to tell you Y/n, were not good for each other--i'm not good for you--" She continues to speak, going on and on about why the two of you would quite literally never work. Sana mentions the fact that she's always busy and she can't make time for a relationship right now. Then she's explaining to you how much emotional baggage she has and her tendency to push people away and maybe say and do hurtful things. Blah.. Blah.. Blah.
You weren't at all focused on any of it, you've heard it all before, the irrelevant excuses she makes all because she's afraid of commitment. That should probably be a red flag in and of itself but there was no such thing as a "red flag" when it came to Minatozaki Sana. You were in love with her, head over heels and you'd do literally anything for the chance to call her your girlfriend but Sana was too afraid, terrified even, of opening her heart to someone new. So now she's here trying to end things because she can feel herself falling for you.
Fuck that
Sana stops her long tangent which you stopped listening to midway because something else caught your eye "Did you dye your hair darker?" You asked, noticing the slight difference in hue.
"What- Did you even listen to anything I just said?"
"I didn't have to, this is the third time you've come over here in an attempt to push me away when we both know that you'll just end up in my bed sooner or later" You don't mean for it to come out as harshly as it did and of course she gets upset, lips parting idly as she tries to find a reasonable rebuttal. You wait, taking a longer swig at the drink in your hand before swallowing. "What?" You ask, observing the look of pure shock and anger on her face "I'm just saying the quiet part out loud"
"You're a fucking asshole" She puts her beer down on the coffee table, without a coaster you notice, but before you can say anything about that she's getting up probably to stomp out of your door angrily. If that happens who knows when she'll be back, so of obviously you got up and went after her.
"Sana wait" You grab her arm and she snatches it away from you, her dark eyes warning you not to test her. But you note that she's still standing there in front of you, waiting for you, silently hoping that you'll say something to make her stay. Girls are confusing that way. You want to say something--you try to--but you get distracted again, fixated on her hair and the way it's tucked behind her ears. It showed off her perfect facial structure, her sharp jawline and high cheekbones which had a cute shade of pink blush blotted on them. A few strands of hair deviated, sitting gently by her eyes, probably obstructing her vision a little.
You can't bring yourself to form words because you're so affected by her beauty even after all this time. Some may say its crazy, you've seen and touched almost every part of her body by now and you're still getting flustered by her appearance. Get a grip. It takes a moment of staring for Sana to speak up "What?" She questions you, pursing her lips with her eyebrows pinned together and a growing impatience in the quickened tapping of her foot against the floor.
"Look, I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't have said that but come on Sana. If you're falling for me then you should just let it happen. I know you think you're not perfect.." True, she's more than perfect. "but who says you have to be perfect to love someone and be loved?"
She bites her lip, it's something she does when she's nervous or thinking really hard about something. You've picked up on that by now as you have with every single one of her little mannerisms. She steps back, placing a hand on the doorknob as if she wants to leave and you feel her slipping, like she's trying her hardest to get out of that door but somethings holding her here. "Y/n, if you really want it.. the truth is that I'm just not as obsessed with you as you are with me. I mean we have good sex but that's it, in fact it's really the only reason I keep you around"
Sana says it expecting you to be hurt, expecting for you to maybe call her a bitch and tell her to leave so what? It'd be easier for her? Instead you just tilt your head and quirk your eyebrow. "but somehow it's always you who shows up to my at my door. Often unannounced might I add." You chuckle a bit at the irony catching the way her demeanor subtly weakens. So you take a step forwards and an idea pops into your head, seeing the way she's looking up at you.
Hoping you won't regret it later, you reach your hand out to touch hers which is on the doorknob and you push it off. Then you open the door all the way, she steps out of the way so the door could fully swing open without hitting her and now she's standing in front of you facing the wide open door. She's so close you catch a whiff of her shampoo. It smells so divine, so her. "Look, the doors open. If you really feel that way, then you can go because I'm not stopping you"
Sana just stands there, staring out the door and into the empty hallway. Before she even realizes it, your hands are on her shoulders feeling the soft material of her knitted wood sweater. She sucks in a breath through her teeth as you step closer, unable to take any steps away from you. Sana knows she should leave, you've just presented the opportunity to her but you're magnetic and it's fucking impossible to get away. Your hands eventually slide down her arms slowly then you close the gap and your front is flush to her back.
At this point, theres blood rushing to places it shouldn't and Sana's forgetting how to breathe. You lean down a bit so you're level with her ear and by this point your hands have found their way to her waist. "Sana, baby it's your choice" You whisper and your voice is so sexy and smooth flowing into her ears, just the perfect balance of husky and feminine which always drove her crazy. You knew exactly what you were doing, you were proving a point. The point being that she indeed feels the same way that you do about her. The point that she needs you.
Sana turns around in your arms kicking the door shut with her foot "I really fucking hate you" she mutters and she's pulling your shirt, stretching the cheap fabric as she gets your head down to her level. She kisses you, hard, like she's been thinking about it all day, like it's all she's wanted to do the moment you let her into your apartment. You don't hesitate to kiss back at all, in fact you were actually aching to get her lips on yours as soon as you saw her looking so beautiful with her newly dyed dark brown hair and those beautiful eyes. It's like an addiction, if there was anything correct she said about you, it's the obsession.
You were obsessed with Sana in ways that were probably really unhealthy. It was evident in the ways you'd worship her body when you had it on display in front of you, only for you to have.
Now you're pulling at each others clothes and in the midst of this heated kiss you reach for her belt, she reaches for the hem of your top. When her belt is off and somewhere across the room, your shirt is being pulled up and Sana breaks the kiss so she can take it off of you. The only sound that could be heard is your heavy, inconsistent breaths as your shirt falls to the ground. Sana stares at your breasts for a moment, the way they're sitting in your bra and you can hear her breath hitch. Before she even knows it you've got her pressed against the door. You unzip her jeans as she takes the initiative to take her sweater off.
Sana's loose jeans fall to her ankles and she kicks them off her feet. You press your body against hers, already obsessed with the way her warm, soft skin feels against yours and you're kissing her again. It's slower this time, softer. You wrap your arms around her body, unclipping her bra in one swift movement. Sana's heaving and you're lifting her off of the floor her legs immediately wrapping around your waist. Her body is high enough and her full, perfectly round breasts are now in reach, waiting to be appreciated.
You take your lips off of Sana's and dip your head, first into her neck where you can suck and lick as much as you want. She would never protest about marks or bruises. There was a particular thrill she got from letting you decide whether or not you'd leave your imprint on her, like a brand that claims her as yours. Either way she's enjoying it, enjoying it way more than she should. Biting her bottom lip, head thrown back against the door, soft moans leaving her lips. Theres a few red spots on her sensitive skin when you're done and you move on to her collar bone. Her skin smells and tastes so fresh, so sweet, so Sana. You have to stop yourself from groaning when you get to her breasts.
In, no time there's a nipple in your mouth and a small "Oh fuck" leaving her lips. She loves it when you suck on her nipples, swirling your tongue around the bud, taking it between your lips and maybe even biting it lightly. The erotic passion of it all is what always gets her going and you could bet everything you owned that she's absolutely dripping right now. You switch to her other nipple, treating it with the pure care and affection you gave to the other one until its covered in your saliva, your marks.
You get a good grip under Sana's thighs and you're carrying her towards your bedroom and you silently thank God that the door is already cracked open. You kick it closed, hearing the lock click before you're laying her on the bed. She looks up at you, bottom lip tucked between her lips and she pulls you down by your neck eager to get you lips back where they belonged--literally anywhere on her body. Now you're kissing her harder, sliding your hands down her body and in between her legs. You just rest it there, feeling the warm heat exude through the damp fabric.
Sana's hips buck and she moans in your mouth, even muffled it's still so soft and pretty. She breaks away from the kiss for a moment "Please" she's already begging and you, craving your touch just as much as you crave hers. You begin kissing her neck some more, right over the red marks you just left there "Please - mm - touch me" she's struggling to speak, grinding into your still hand to achieve just that little bit of friction, anything.
So you do. You slip your hands underneath the waistband of her panties and she's wet, like really fucking wet. Yeah, there was the expectation that the teasing would've turned her on but the first feel of it never failed to surprise you each time. You gasp, leaning upwards to see her face. "You're soaked, baby" You say it with a slight smile on your face, using your fingers to circle her clit. Her sticky arousal coats your fingers immediately and she's whining--writhing on your fingers for more pressure.
Insatiable
You drag your middle finger up and down her slit, prodding the hole directly before slipping it in and it goes in so fucking easy. She's so relaxed for you. "M-more please" The words escape her lips almost too beautifully and you just have to comply. You watch her face the exact moment you slip your ring finger inside, her eyes shut and her lips part. "So fucking.. good" She mumbles, pulling your body down onto hers again. It's hot, the way she enjoys feeling all of your weight on her as you pump your fingers in and out, keeping them curled just the way she likes it.
She's moaning in your mouth now and it's louder, letting you know just how good you're doing. You're smiling in the kiss, noticing how she's struggling to keep up with it because she's really falling apart on your fingers. "You're so pretty" You compliment her, almost getting lost in her squinted eyes when you pull away. Then you begin pounding your fingers into her, hard and fast. Her reaction is priceless. The way her jaw drops, how her eyes widen then roll back even the way she presses her hips deeper into your bed in an attempt to minimize the overwhelming pleasure.
"W-wait baby.." She squeals and reaches down to grab your wrists because everything you're doing is too much and her grip is tight, but not tighter than how she is inside. Seriously, the way her hot walls squeezed you always managed to throw you for a loop. "God" She groans and it's guttural, her legs already beginning to shiver as her body arches into yours. Unfortunately for Sana, you weren't ready to send her over the edge just yet so right as she's beginning to get close you slide your fingers out "Fuck" She sighs an unsteady breath.
Sana has a love-hate relationship with edging, on one hand it's frustrating and it makes her hate you. On the other hand, the thought of you deciding when and how she cums is the hottest thing in the world. So she allows her breathing to steady, observing the slight smile on your face "You were right there, weren't you?" You ask and Sana just swallows, nodding tiredly in response. You grab the waistband of her panties and you slide them down her perfect thighs, then her legs and around her ankles. "These are drenched" You observe before tossing them elsewhere.
You go back to the position you were in before, laying beside her with one hand in between her legs and you plant a kiss on her lips. Unexpectedly, you slap her cunt and a loud almost splashing noise comes out. Sana yelps and her legs clamp shut around your hand that's now rubbing up it and down. She whines as you force her legs back open with your hand and you do it again, harder this time. Sana moans' but keeps her legs where they are "Good girl" You mutter.
Then you're slapping her cunt again, one time, two times, three times, four... and by the looks of it she's fucking loving it. The way her body jolts and she winces just a bit with each blow. "Ah - baby" She's stopped mid sentence with another slap and it makes her squeal. You hum in response, soothing the area with some slow, soft rubs "I could.. cum like this..." You slap again "Fuck.. if you're not careful" She tries to warn and you chuckle, leaning down to leave a short peck on her lips.
Another blow follows the kiss and she gasps "But you won't, because you'll be good for me, right?"
"Mm-hm" Sana hums hesitantly.
You slap her down there, and it's a bit harder "Words, baby"
"Fuck - Yeah, I'll be good" She looks into your eyes, saying it with a little more conviction in her tone.
You smile and then you're shuffling down, all the way to her belly. You suck and lick on the skin, tasting the flavorful sweat that sits on the surface. There's a low groan that escapes your lips and it's driving Sana insane. She loved how primal you get when whenever you have her like this in front of you. How you're just unable to control your urge to just get your mouth on every part of her body and nearly eat her alive. Sana fucking lives for your obsession.
"You're so perfect" You mumble softly on her skin and Sana feels butterflies so strong, her entire body jerks subtly. It was completely true. In your eyes, everything about her just made so much sense. Instead of merely just meeting every impossible beauty standard that society puts on women, she was the beauty standard. With her dainty legs, her plump and soft thighs and a waist so thin you'd think she had some kind of surgery done. Not to mention her porcelain like skin or her striking eyes.
Pure perfection
Now that almost every inch of her body was littered in your kisses, you kneel in between her legs and grab her thighs. You squeezed them lightly first then you spread them and push them back "Hold them here, princess" You ask her with a certain softness in your tone that still maintained your dominance.
Sana does as you say, holding her legs open for you and you're just staring. She looks so picture perfect here "I wish you would let me take a picture" You mumble, realizing that you kind of pushed your luck with the glare she gives you. So you only take a few seconds to admire her body some more, taking in this wonderful sight before you continue on. Then you get your head in between her legs and you're face to face with Sana's slippery cunt. It was everywhere, even some dripping down and staining your bedsheets.
You breathe in her musky scent before sticking your tongue out and then you're lapping at the wetness lathered between her lips, swiping over her clit at some points. Sana's watching the entire show biting her lip so hard it'll probably leave a mark just to stifle her moans. You notice the grip she has on her thighs tightening and her nails are digging into them which'll likely leave tiny crescent marks in her perfect skin. You take her clit in between your lips and you suck, tasting more of her tangy arousal, swallowing it completely. "Fuck baby that's so good--you're so good" She whines, feeling her legs slipping out of her hands.
You bring two fingers up as you notice, plunging them in "Keep your legs where they are" You take your mouth off of her for a moment as you begin to fuck her. Sana keens, pulling her legs back farther than they were because it's getting hard to keep the position. Her palms are sweating and it's causing her grip to loosen but she holds strong anyway. You just watch as she struggles to be good for you, another thing you love about Sana.
"H-Harder.. please" Sana pleads so you lean your head down and start planting quick kisses on her clit, providing enough stimulation to have her cumming in no time. Sana's breathing heavily now, lips quivering when you start fucking her harder as deep as your fingers will allow you to go. "Just like that - fuck!" Her thighs almost clamp shut with a small stutter, but she keeps them open anyway.
Sana's pulsing inside, looking at you with those big brown eyes and her pupils are absolutely blown. You're still kissing, the sound filling the room as you stimulate the sensitive girl below you.
"Gonna - fuck - gonna cum if you keep~" She sobs, squeezing her thighs so hard that they're red. You slip your fingers out and Sana wants to cry, but she doesn't complain, she just sighs again "Shit" A shaky whisper escapes her lips.
You crawl forwards and you kiss her slowly, gently, like her lips are fragile. Then you pull away and bring your fingers up, you don't have to tell her to open her mouth either. Sana just pulls her head up a bit, takes them into her mouth and sucks them, sucking every bit of the sticky substance off of your fingers. You watch her, your lips parting from how erotic this is and she's looking into your eyes as she sucks. It goes straight to your pussy. It's when you begin to long for her mouth, to feel it all over your body but that can't happen yet, not until she's satisfied.
So you pull your fingers out of her mouth and you get off of the bed, she's still in position, holding her legs up for you as you grab something from underneath the bed. It's a small box with a bunch of your toys in it. You open it and grab a vibrator, arguably one of her favorite toys. It's subtle, but you can see the way Sana's eyes light up when she spots it in your hand. You crawl back onto the bed "You've been so good for me tonight, princess" Sana just whimpers, acknowledging the praise.
You turn the vibrator on to the lowest setting, the low hum filling your ears. You put it directly to her clit and press down, rubbing the toy around in tight circles. Your eyes dart up to meet hers but you only catch the moment her head falls backwards. Sana moans softly "Baby~" A pretty whine escapes her lips.
The look in your eyes is pure adoration, her body, her voice, her small actions and reactions to the vibrations. You flick the vibrator up to a higher setting and she moans louder, her head falling forwards, a look of genuine devastation on her face. Her body's shaking and so are her legs, threatening to fall out of her grip again. "You're so perfect" You tell her again, feeling your heart flutter.
She falls apart so beautifully
Your fingers find the highest setting on the vibrator and you flick it on. "I want you to cum for me, baby" You mumble.
"Fuck" She huffs "Right now?" She nods
"Right now, sweetheart" You nod back
Her hair's everywhere now, disheveled brown strands stuck to her face. Sana chokes a little bit as her orgasm begins to hit her. "Fuck... fuck, fuck!" She moans and you've gotten all the signs down like it's a science. First she freezes, then her moans go silent, her jaw goes slack and her body falls back into the bed. You're watching intently as it happens, her moans come back after a bit and they're high pitched and sweet. You smile, watching the way her back arches as she stops breathing for a moment.
"Jesus... good fucking girl" You mutter, shutting the toy off and tossing it to the side. "You can drop your legs now" You say as you crawl over Sana. She lets go of her thighs and you kiss her lips again, she holds your face kissing you back like you're the only girl in the world, kissing you like you earned it, like she loves you.
"I think I might actually love you" Sana sighs. You watch as she covers her face, a frustrated groan leaving her lips as if there was something wrong with loving you. Your lips part and your eyes furrow as you try to process her words, process the fact that she actually said them. Like they really came out of her mouth. Sana loves you.
It takes you a moment for you to finally get some words out. This is the moment you've been waiting for, she feels comfortable enough to say it to you, that's a step. "Sana... that's not a bad thing" You decide to get off of her to give her some space.
"No, you're right, it's a horrible thing"
"and why's that?"
"Cause I have major commitment issues, see? I admit it, I can't commit!" Sana sits up and looks around the room "where are my clothes?"
"By the door"
She gets up and walks out of your room, picking her panties up from off of the floor on the way. You follow her and she's already putting on her clothes presumably to leave, like actually leave this time. "The first step is admitting it" You mutter, figuring that you might as well put your shirt on as well. "I can help you commit, i can fix you" You immediately regret saying it like that, because the face she makes is pure disdain. "I mean fuck.. not like that. Like... I can help you get over that if you'll just let me in"
"I'm not going to open up my heart to you just so you can destroy it, it's already broken enough" Sana mutters the last part as she pulls her sweater over her head.
"Is that how you're gonna go through life? Pushing away everyone who loves you?"
Sana gives you a look, "You don't love me. You're obsessed with me"
"Isn't it the same?"
"No! It's not the fucking same! You only love the idea of me. You tell me i'm perfect as if i'm not a train wreck, as if i'm some fucking barbie doll. Once you see me--the real me--you're just gonna leave" She grits, her tone harsh but she's just trying to push you away, you know it. It's not gonna be that easy though, not when you love her this much.
"But you love the way I treat you, Sana. Just face it, you like when someone is actually being good to you. What? Are you rejecting me because i'm too nice?"
She rolls her eyes again "You're so fucking full of yourself."
"I know you think you do, but you don't deserve to be treated like shit. Whatever you've done or whatever has happened to you in the past doesn't define you. I love you and I think you deserve to be treated like a fucking queen and I can do that but only if you'll let me"
Sana doesn't say anything, you see a flicker of vulnerability in her eyes but it goes away in a flash. Sana grabs the door knob but as soon as she goes to open it, you press on the door and slam it shut. Now you're closer to her, too close. She turns to face you, her back against the door. There's a look of shock on her face "Just let me in" You're pleading now, trying to hold yourself together.
It's so obvious that someone's hurt Sana beyond repair in the past. They took her heart and shattered it into maybe a million pieces so badly that it was fucking hurting you—stabbing you in your attempts to pick them up. That isn't going to stop you though, nothing will. Maybe it'd be better for you to let her go and never come back but your heart won't let you. You need her.
"Y/n, please" Sana closes her eyes, tears threatening to fall from them. "Just let me go... I don't deserve someone like you" The way she says it almost fucking breaks you but somehow you manage to stay composed.
You swallow "Sana, I love you. How many times do you need me to say it? I love you, I love you... I-"
You're completely stopped in your tracks when Sana kisses you, she kisses you and this time it doesn't feel like she's holding back, nor does it feel like she's only trying to get your clothes off. It's pure love, the way you move your lips together, it's so slow and affectionate. You feel like you're on cloud nine, like nothing else in the world exists but the two of you. You pull away after God knows how long. Now you're both breathing heavily, foreheads pressed together as you're hoping her heart is beating just as fast as yours. Soon you pull back just a bit and your faces are just inches apart "Just.. stay tonight, please?" You whisper.
"Okay" There's a single tear rolling down her cheek when she sniffles. "and by the way.. I love you too"

Hi it's me again. TMA/POKÉMON AU??? YES HELLO PARDON ME I NEED TO THROW MYSELF AT THIS OCCULUS AU YOU'VE GOT GOING ON IF YOU DONT MIND
*BUSTS DOWN THE DOOR* I’M SO GLAD YOU ASKED
I’ve had this AU simmering away for a while and but haven’t posted that much about it, so thank you for the excuse to scream about my extremely self indulgent Pokémon x The Magnus Archives AU
*ahem*
Introducing:
POKÉMON OCULUS
(Here’s an illustration I did after getting your ask - Champion Jonathan and his ace Pokémon, Vigitera!)
This AU is set in the Ervenis Region, a relatively small island region off the coast of Galar. It closed its borders two years prior to the main storyline, shortly after its Champion went missing during a series of attacks in its major cities and his predecessor was found murdered. Since then, an acting Champion has been instated and the borders have been reopened, but the Champion still has not been found. Most Ervenisans believe he is dead.
However, the Ervenis Champion isn’t as dead as everyone thinks, and his disappearance is only the first in long chain of events that will shake Ervenis to its very core, orchestrated by a man who aims to rule over a ruined world governed by nothing but his own will and the fear of people and Pokémon alike, and who will stop at nothing to bring that goal into reality.
More lore under the cut!
(Some of the AU-specific names and terms might be placeholders in that I haven’t been able to come up with anything better lmao)
(Also some of the art might be a bit old)
General Lore Stuff
Jon is the Champion who went missing, and Gertrude is his murdered predecessor.
Martin is Ervenis’ Pokémon Professor
Martin being the Professor is literally perfect.
Be. Because.
All of the Pokemon Professors (except for the newest ones) are named after trees.
And Martin’s last name is BLACKWOOD. Which is an ACTUAL TREE.
(My first rough attempt at drawing Jmart in the Pokémon art style)
Also jmart are extremely married
They’re Ervenis’ favorite power couple
(Professor Blackwood for half of the main plot: *sighs.* …I miss my husband. I miss him a lot. I’ll be back.)
Their Pokémon ship name would be Londonfogshipping
Martin has a Galvantula (most likely a regional form), a Sinistea, a Frosslass, and a Togekiss
Jon, in addition to AU-specific Fakemon, has a Gardevoir and a Luxray
Jon also has a shiny Appletun on his team and Martin has a Flapple. Make of that what you will :D
Also yes there are Fakemon in this thing
I have never designed any Fakemon before except for one thirty-minute period of time from when I was ten but I’m not going to let that stop me
(Initial Fakemon sketches! Three guesses as to which characters get Sqwyrm and Manickregus and the first two don’t count)
(Also Ervenisan Yamask has another form, which evolves into Ervenisan Cofagrigus which is inspired by the Do Not Open coffin)
(I have a whole list of Fakemon designs I want to make but 90% of them aren’t fleshed out at all)
Tim and Sasha are Professors in their own right, and also Martin’s assistants/fellow researchers
Tim has a Houndoom because I saw another TMA Pokémon AU that gave him one and I really liked the idea, he also has a Ludicolo because I lost a debate with my friend who is also into both TMA and Pokémon
Sasha has a Dartrix and a Meowstic
Most of the Avatars are gym leaders
(Yippee gym leader designs!)
(Not pictured because I ran out of steam before I could draw them: Michael and Helen, who run a double Electric-type gym; Daisy, who runs a Dragon-type gym; Karolina, who runs a Ground-type gym; and Jared, who runs a Normal-type gym)
Elias is the acting Champion in Jon’s absence and the secret leader of Team Chrysalis
The current Elite Four consists of Peter, Simon, Maxwell, and Annabelle
You might have noticed that Jon and the gym leaders are all wearing (mostly) black pendants/brooches
This is part of the Ervenis’ region’s “gimmick:”
Metafestation (which is. Almost definitely a placeholder name)
Skilled trainers can use special items called Metalenses to tap into the psyches of Pokemon and Trainer to manifest the shape of their desires and the power of their emotions in reality.
You basically give the Pokémon a JoJo Stand
Each Metalens must be specially shaped and cut to suit unique trainers and Pokémon, and since using poorly made Metalenses may have disastrous consequences on its users, only a handful of people have the qualifications and legal authorization to do so
(Gerard Keay is one of these people!)
Metalenses are usually worn as pendants or brooches so they’re close to the user’s heart
For the Metafestation power-up to be strongest, the trainer and Pokémon must have a shared goal/desire and a deep bond
(This bond does not have to be a positive one. It just needs to be strong.)
These Metafestations have their own typing system, though no one’s been able to figure out exactly what it is yet.
It’s the Fears. The Fears are the typing system.
Though most users of this system aren’t aware of it, Metafestation comes from achieving a delicate balance of both desire and fear.
When I first came up with this idea, it was JUST Fear, but I felt like that was a bit dark for frickin POKÉMON so I added the desire aspect
After all, what we fear and and what we desire often go hand in hand
You desire safety because you fear its absence, you desire light because you fear the dark, you desire freedom because you fear being confined, etc.
For example, Professor Blackwood desires companionship, and fears being forgotten. Most of the Metafestations he and his Pokémon create are foggy and cold, but in a way soothing at the same time.
Though a small handful of them are spindly and laced with puppet strings and reflect his desire to wield his cunning for good.
(However, he hasn’t been able to properly use his Metalens in years. The first and only time he tried after his husband vanished, it backfired horribly, consuming both him and his Pokémon in a chilling fog and sending them spiraling into unconsciousness. It took weeks for them to recover, and Professor Blackwood bears a physical scar of the incident in the streaks of stark white in his hair.)
Of course, most people don’t have just one desire/fear. The Metalens just channels the strongest ones, and most users don’t achieve more than three separate tertiary types of power-ups.
One of the biggest exceptions is Jon.
He desires many things: Safety, love, knowledge. He also fears many things: Being manipulated and controlled, abandonment, the unknown.
When he was a child, something happened to him that scarred his psyche in such a way that he could channel all of his desires and fears.
It’s what makes him such a potent conduit for the power-up system, and what makes him a prime target for:
Team Chrysalis
Team Chrysalis is a criminal organization/sort of cult disguised as something innocent: The Magnus Institute, the region’s main research institution that Professor Blackwood works at
The AU’s main plot gets kicked off when Professor Blackwood finds evidence that his husband, the missing Champion, is still alive
If this were a real game, the main story on the side of doing the gym challenge would be helping Professor Blackwood look for clues about Jon’s whereabouts and about The Magnus Institute’s hidden goals
Professor Blackwood also figures out that it’s very likely that Elias had a hand in Jon’s disappearance
(Professor Blackwood for the other half of the main plot: *slams down the Do Not Open coffin in front of Elias* It’s a coffin. There’s a name engraved on it. “WHORE!” IT’S EMPTY!! *grabs Elias by the collar* AND YOU’RE GOING IN IT!!!)
The Elite Four are also part of Team Chrysalis and fully on board with its plan
Though Annabelle might have her own machinations going on
Team Chrysalis plans to reshape the world as they see fit by summoning a Legendary Pokémon that’s a warped physical manifestation of the fears and desires of all living creatures, and simultaneously embodies and feeds on those fears and desires
(It’s basically all the Fears mashed into one eldritch monstrosity)
(I’m mildly worried this sounds too similar to some existing legendaries but at the same time I’m just spitballing and having fun here)
To summon this Legendary, they need a lynchpin capable of channeling all of those fears and desires
This lynchpin is Jon because of course it is.
Team Chrysalis’ whole plan actually only serves to grant Elias immortality and make him king of a ruined world but shhh none of the team members know that
I have zero idea what the Legendary would look like, I just have the fact I want it to have “Pan” in its name
The climax of the story comes when Team Chrysalis starts their ritual and the end of the world. In order to stop them, their Vessel and the Legendary must be defeated.
You are challenged by The Archivist!
The Really Self Indulgent Part
I started working on this at the same time that my friend was watching through XY for the first time
So at some point when coming up with all of the story stuff my brain went “what if I stuck Ash Ketchum into the story?”
So Ash is there now. For some reason lol
He’s 19 now and is just doing his thing and traveling the world
As usual, he takes on the player’s role, challenging gyms and helping Professor Blackwood in his investigation and eventually helping him take on Team Chrysalis
(I made this shitpost in like. Less than an hour lmao)
Ash is so done with these evil team leaders trying to destroy the world
Greninja is also there because tHIS IS MY AU AND I DO WHAT I WANT *MANIACAL LAUGHTER*
And I think that’s it for an overview of Pokémon Oculus!
I have a bunch more stuff for this AU, mostly spitballs and WIP writing snippets, and I do plan on making more art and Fakemon designs eventually (especially now that I’m getting better at emulating the Pokémon art style)
Thank you for reading this far, and feel free to ask me anything about this AU! :D

I think some ppl forget that byler not being endgame would be the greatest waste of time EVER, specially for Will’s arc. Now let me explain.
Ofc Will is one of the most (if not the most) complex character of the show, his connection to the upside down is essential for the plot and in s5 we’ll discover many more things. His character is not defined by his sexuality only, ofc, but it is an important thing, specifically if we’re talking about the 80’s. Which leads us to the main point of this post: his love interest.
Him being the only character who hasn’t had any love interest/crush, or that actually avoids talking about love is something that they remind us every season.
S1: didn’t care that the pretty girl (don’t remember her name srry) was crying at his funeral.
- also, foreshadowing that he might be gay (lonnie called him slurs, the bullies at school doing the same…)
S2: he didn’t want to dance with the girl at the SB
S3: “it’s not my fault you don’t like girls” “i’m not gonna fall in love…”
S4: “i think there’s someone he likes”
But we never get an actual answer. What we expect at the end of the show is seeing him with someone, to be in love, to show that he can also find someone to love just like everyone.
Him being gay adds more depth to his character, bc now we know why he wasn’t interested in girls at all, and also why he’s so scared to fall in love: bc it would be with a man, and he knows he wouldn’t be accepted.
The Duffers choosing Mike to be not only his love interest, but THE ONLY ONE, is a wild take. It’s not a simple crush.. it’s pure LOVE, he’s been in love for years. They could’ve chosen anyone, ANYONE, but they wanted Mike to play that part. Now tell me, why would they do that if it would be a simple “no, i dont like u back lmao, i care ab my gf” at the end? Why would they choose to waste 1 out of the 2 queer characters’ love story?
“It’s so vecna has something to torment him with” that’s one of the most stupid shit i’ve ever heard.
Vecna has plenty of things to torment him with: his ab*siv3 dad, the bullying he’s dealt with since he was a kid, everything he went through in the UD, him being gay, etc etc
They could’ve kept it platonic: will doesn’t want vecna to “tell” mike he’s gay bc that’s his best friend and he doesn’t want him to hate him for that. Or simply ANYONE ELSE. Mike didn’t have to be part of that trauma yk.
They could’ve added a character to be his love interest, maybe in s3, then a little scene with him in s4 to remind us that he’ll be present in s5 and then that’s it, happy ending.
Why did they choose to write mileven in such a poor way compared to other canon ships in the show, and on the other hand give us emotional, tender and intimate moments with byler if they didn’t intend to make them endgame?
When you make scenes be so easily misinterpreted you are not being clear. If mileven was clearly endgame there would be no “ship war”, bc it would be obvious. The reason why there are plenty of analysis and byler proof is bc they wanted us to notice those things. Bc guess what: if we have proof is bc there is something to prove.
They would’ve avoided any type of hint that could lead us to believe that Mike could be in love with him as well, or that he’s very queer coded.
Things like “the closet” (official soundtrack), the one way sign, him looking at will’s lips constantly, and other things, all that would be GONE.
Plus, they would wanna promote mileven and make us believe that they are THE main couple. For example, that final take? Why tf are will and mike together, alongside with other two canon couples, and then El at the front? Why isn’t Mike with her? They will defeat the evil with the power of love, right? They’ll be the powerful couple of the show… right? Doesn’t seem like it.
If Will gets rejected, not only everything they’ve been building since the beginning will be for absolutely NOTHING, but also things will be even WORSE than before.
Will, after getting rejected by Mike, will not be able to even look at him in the eyes. Not only he got rejected, not only Mike is his best friend, but also he’s a BOY. So, not only he confessed his feelings which “are not mutual” but also he just came out of the closet. How great is that? Even if they tried to play it cool afterwards I know that Will would be way too embarrassed to ignore it, so they would end up not talking to each other.
So not only they wasted a great part of Will’s character but also one of the main friendships of the show. All for what? To keep on going with mileven? To use a queer character’s feelings for their own good? After making so many people get bored of it or losing hope after season 4? After letting us see that she works better on herself without mike? What kind of shitty promo is this?
To sum up, byler/mike’s internalized homophobia would make Mike’s character even deeper and would explain some things that he’s done/said. If it wasn’t that and he was just being an idiot, then wow, they definitely nailed it……..
#hope this clears someone’s byler doubt#byler#will byers#mike wheeler#byler nation#stranger things#st5#byler endgame

Reasons why Jinx is alive– A fully comprehensive evidence analysis
Right. So I've seen a lot of people with conflicting views on if Jimx survived at the end of Arcane season 2, and I have been itching to do a meta post on the subject, so here it goes!
The first piece of evidence that I found particularly noteworthy was the explosion itself. By going frame by frame it was possible to see this:
It's a blink and you miss it kind of scene, but this is right after the explosion, and you can see the clear pink line going into one of the vents. Now why is this important? Well, it's simple, it's the shimmer effect that happens when Jinx is moving very fast! I know that Warwick was holding onto Jinx, but in a explosion its perfectly plausible for her to get out of that grip using the explosion of her monkey bomb.
Then we have the scene where Caitlyn is inspecting the plans for the Hexgates.
There is literally no reason for her to look at these plans. Not unless she thought there was something she missed...
There's no dialogue here, so it's really just based on what she does and how she reacts. Most notably what she's holding.
It's the head of one of Jinx's notorious monkey bombs. What's more, it's clearly damaged and singed. So likely this is the very same monkey bomb Jinx used in the Hexgates. This also suggests that Caitlyn might have been searching for evidence of Jinx's dead body... and clearly didn't find it for her to be holding Jinx's bomb head and then searching on the plans. Which brings me to the focus changing to this:
The vents we see the streak of pink shimmer light go inside correlate to the plans as shown above. The vents connect to the air ducts which connect to the outside. After this, the camera goes back to Caitlyn and we see her look at the monkey bomb head and then smile.
Then we get to the most telling piece of evidence that Jinx survived and left Zaun and Piltover behind, which is definitely a controversial choice on the writers part and does come across that they just want the option to bring in Jinx whenever they want in later stories taking place in Noxus, Ionia and Demacia. Which is very Marvel like lol. This is namely the air blimp at the end shot of the show.
What I find interesting is the fact it mirrors exactly the very first time we see Powder in episode 1 of Arcane season 1 when we see one of these air blimps.
The difference in these shots is that the one from season one is going TOWARDS Piltover, and the one from end of season 2 is going AWAY across the sea. The only difference in the ships themselves is the streak of blue you can just about see on the side of the hull. Maybe a further hint that Jinx is indeed on board that blimp.
Obviously it is what Powder says about the air blimp in season one that truly gives some solid evidence Jinx escaped on the air blimp heading for the sea:
Well, it seems Powder was right about that... the shots being so similar is clearly not a coincidence.
This is made all the more evident with the very last seconds of screen time of the show. It ends with Jinx's signature scribbles taking over the screen for three seconds with the words 'The end' written across.
Some people I've seen commenting on the fact the letter E on 'the' is reversed, but I think that's just a style choice in line with Jinx's graffiti so far. What is significant here is the fact it's so evidently Jinx's mark straight after the air blimp that resembeled the one in the first episode of Arcane season one.
Annnnd there's just one more thing now. I promise I'm almost done lol.
The lyrics to the song Wasteland that plays during episode 8, when Jinx is about to try and end her life are as follows:
This world is a wasteland where nothing can grow
I used to have strength but I ran out of hope
I know it’s my fault that I'm here all alone
This world is a wasteland
Please let me go, go, go, go, go, go, go
But then the lyrics change in the last chorus, they go from Jinx preparing to end her life for good, to THIS:
This world is a wasteland where nothing can grow
If it weren’t for you I’d be here all alone
I know in my heart this is where we belong
This world is a wasteland
Don’t let me go, go, go, go, go, go, go
Don't let me go
I feel it's likely that the line 'if it weren't for you I'd be here all alone' is referring to Ekko. Because it's Ekko who stopped Jinx from killing herself. And then of course the biggest change, from 'please let me go' to 'don't let me go' Jinx isn't ready to say goodbye. She wants to stay living. And I think it's this that plays in her 'sacrifice' scene with Warwick. It's not her giving up on life, it's her accepting that her life has changed and she needs to break the cycle by moving on. Not for anyone else, but for herself.
Let me know in the comments or reblogs your thoughts on this! And thank you for reading if you got this far lol.
#oof#didn't think a meta post would take my energy so much lol#sorry for the word vomit too...#long post#meta analysis#arcane#jinx#caitlyn kiramman#powder#ive been preparing to write this post for ages#just took a while to get all the evidence collected#tell me if I've missed any references too!#I'm also up for alternative takes#but yeah i don't entirely agree with the writers taking this path#i think it would have been nice to see ekko or Vi or even Sevika's reaction to Jinx being alive and her decision to leave...#not sure if its still somewhat self destructive Jinx leaving her remaining support system to go off alone#it would admittedly been a stronger take having Jinx fully becoming that revolutionary figure we were teased and helping to rebuild Zaun#poor Sevika being the only zaunite on the council. 😭#anyway. hope this isnt too convulted of a analysis

9 Fandom Peeps to Get to Know Better
Thank you for the tag @soup-du-silence !!
3 ships I like: JamiKali/KaliJami (TWST), LouWill (Metaphor Re:Fantazio), AtsuKita (Haikyuu!!)
First Ship: I can’t remember…? It may have been Sonic related like Sonic/Amy or Sonic/Tails or Phineas/Isabella from Phineas and Ferb-; now that I think about it I may have shipped Shadow with Rouge or Silver (ironically i know nothing about sonic now other than through a friend or if my brother wants to watch the movies)
Last Song: Get Him Back by Fiona Apple (I’m cycling through the album rn; I’ve been listening to 4 of her albums + the ost for Metaphor on repeat for weeks-)
Favorite Childhood Book: Hibi Chouchou (or Like a Butterfly); I used to read a lot of shoujo manga and I just found out while searching for it that it was made by the same mangaka as A Sign of Affection what-
Currently Reading: Metaphor Re:Fantazio fics! I’m specifically looking for LouWill; I’ve been watching the amount of fics for the game update for the past few days, and I just read a Chinese fic thats currently at 97k words via my phone translator. Read another Chinese fic for LouWill and was surprised by the dynamic, I’m cheering so loudly- (I also felt like writing for the ship, so I have two Google docs, one for stray ideas and another I’m working on slowly, but I forgot that it then stirs my want to make a fanbook and illustrate all of it, this isn’t good-)
Currently watching: Brooklyn Nine-Nine on repeat; sometimes I like to put myself in a type of purgatory where I become not that bored but not that entertained from the repetitiveness that I’m stirred into action. I also recently finished watching House M.D.
Currently consuming: a bright yellow soup with fish in it. My mom made it for me but because she told me the name of it in Vietnamese, I do Not know what I consumed. It was pretty good though!
Currently craving: x2 Buldak noodles. I’m stressed by a bunch of tasks, things I want to do, and the concept of time. Plus my tolerance grew from the frequency I’ve been eating them due to stress this is not a good combo who told me spice was good for stress-
Tagging: @pointy-spiral, @kobanzme, plus anyone who wants to do this! (No pressure if you don’t want to btw)
#yeo-uch#fun fact I haven’t stopped getting my twst dailies and now have 6 SSR Kalim’s and Jamil’s dorm card on my eng acct#I think I’m missing one more birthday card…?#I saw the new theme for the twst birthday cards. I’m actually not ready to see Kalim's are you kidding me#just the preview image alone is going to make me pop out of my mortal coil#the rupture is going to shatter my spine as it stacks on top of itself like Jenga pieces

Still thinking about AU where the twins are Aamon's kids and Daemon's age. As much as I'd love to see Aamon alive, it would be interesting to see a "there are 4 young adults left of the ruling family" scenario. Because. They really don't have any of the older Targaryens left around to help. Vaegon and Viserra (if they're alive) aren't around, maybe Alysanna if she survived Jaehaerys? Sure, Jaehaerys himself sat on the throne at a young age, but 1) he had at least a mother as who ruled as regent 2) he didn't have 3 relatives in charge, one of whom (Daemon) could throw something out at any moment.
I'm also wondering where Otto is in this AU. Was he also the hand in the later years of Jaehaerys? Or was it Jon/Baelon? What happens to him after the king dies? It's clear Jon won't trust him, but you have to give Otto credit - he ruled pretty effectively while Viserys 1 was feasting, so throwing out a useful man would be wasteful. Will Otto try to turn Jon against Daemon like he did in canon? Daemon would be furious, I can see how he would adore his cousin he grew up with together. Will he try to bring Jon and Alicent closer together in the future? Or switch to Rhaegar?
If they're around Daemon's age, they'd be 22 when Jaehaerys dies at last, which isn't all that young by ASOIAF standards, honestly. Even if they're a few years younger, 20 would be considered more than mature enough to reign. Viserys would be the eldest, at 26.
Jon's quite savvy, especially with Rhaegar's aid (I think I have them as Aerion = Jon, Valerion = Rhaegar for this AU), so he likely chooses his council and advisors in such a way to maximize/consolidate support. Award Daemon with a position that keeps him happy and demonstrates trust; if need be, grant him his desired annulment from Rhea and give him leave to seek a match to a highborn woman of his choice. He makes Rhaegar his Hand, finds a position that is suitable for Viserys. Corlys is definitely made master of ships if he isn't already, because that's their brother-in-law.
From there, it's a matter of filling other positions with capable men from houses whose favor it would benefit them to court.
I am not sure what Jon decides to do with Otto. Given the twins' age when Baelon dies (20), I could see Jaehaerys being persuaded to let him or Rhaegar serve as Hand rather than Otto.
("Fun" fact: I got Baelon's dates as Hand wrong in Regnal. Apparently Jaehaerys waited until 100 AC to name Baelon Hand, meaning he served in that office for all of one year before his death! WTF Jaehaerys? Especially considering that the man Baelon replaced was also serving as Kingsguard at the time! We'll say that Regnal!Jaehaerys came to his senses and made Baelon his Hand a few years after Aemon's death.)
The thing about Otto is that his talent and ambition make him dangerous. If Daemon's marriage to Rhea is annulled, perhaps he goes after Daemon with Alicent instead? Depending on if Jon or Rhaegar have any heirs from their own marriages yet, he's not that far down the line of succession and Aemma doesn't seem like she's going to be having a successful childbirth anytime soon.
Obviously if one or both of the twins are not yet married, he'd be jumping all over that. One thing I could see is Jon perhaps downplaying Otto's role in the Dance too much, since it was one of scheming rather than a military one. I do know that he's not going to be very successful turning Jon or Rhaegar against beloved family members (of which Daemon certainly qualifies). Their biggest challenge with Daemon will finding the appropriate Daemon-enrichment. I could see them approving a Stepstones war that is properly funded and supported with dragons, so that Daemon gets to live his mini-Conquest dreams. And then, a bit like Viserys, they hope he has a kid or two that can help him settle down.
