#do i headcanon diavolo wearing as much rings as he does piercings?

                 JEWEL-CRUSTED DIGITS TWITCHED TOWARDS the feeling of a gloved thumb brushing against his knuckles. long lashes fluttered as the prince blinked towards his butler. he retracted his hand slightly, raising it just enough so he could examine the back of his palm. did he have ink smudged on them? he wasn’t messy like how he was as a child, but it didn’t mean accidents didn’t happen when he was buried in the amount of paperwork he had. 

                 tanned lips pulled into a small smile, fangs puckered out as his eyes flicked back towards barbatos. ‘ you startled me a second, you’re not one to touch without reason. ’ his deep laugh filled the emptiness of the large room and diavolo’s hands settled back atop his old desk. ‘ are you trying to tell me something, barbatos? ’ like a break, he hoped. if he worked himself too much, he knew his butler would stop him and tell him to rest . . . but diavolo didn’t feel as if he was working that hard. 

                 though, that always seemed to be the opposite reaction when he thought as such.
