the term 'friends' doesn't seem to encompass all that gilgamesh and enkidu are to each other and I don't even mean that just in a way where I think they were in love I also wish they used (or that english had) had a more intense and intimate and deeper word for that than just 'friends' bc not to diminish friendship but there is something INTENSE going on here
