Today in small things I belatedly noticed and nobody cares about: the power absorption spell from TOX is slightly different than what we see actually spoken in 3x09. In Tales of Xadia, the spell given is Rewop Rouy Swollaws Eh, Thgim Rouy Swollaws Eh, Dnim Rouy Swollaws Eh (He swallows your mind, he swallows your might, he swallows your power) with the one in the show being slightly different.

Translation courtesy of Cartoon Universe on Youtube. As you can see, mind and power reoccur, but the order is slightly different, as instead of having mind come first, heart is added and comes first, wholly substituting might. Now, there’s two options for this:

1) Exceedingly small continuity error, which is understandable given how much is packed into TOX

2) In universe (for HC purposes maybe) Aaravos was using a variant on the spell in 3x09. 

However, if we have two options, which one is canon? As always, I lean towards the text of the show being canon first and foremost (particularly because this is what was fully recorded). Additionally, dark magic in series seems to be more interested in hearts (the magma titan’s heart as a big example, the emphasis on hearts throughout the series) so I lean more towards the actual spell in 3x09.

And yeah, that’s it: short, simple, but an interesting little nugget for sure!
