A monster i designed for my (now finished) DnD campaign, they're called Storm Heralds, a fey/elemental spirit that creates dangerous storms where ever they go. They can take control of an Elder Tempest.
(the left one is an ice variant, and the right is a lightning variant)
(statblock for the lightning variant under cut)

i have dnd tonight and i wanna get some more of my own stuff ( replies, social media channel stuff, etc ) done before work, so this is a flying visit ! i advertised some of our most wanted canons yesterday, and i think i'd like to stay on that roll right now and maybe throw a little spotlight over some of the wanted connections who aren't advertised on our sidebar but are still VERY wanted : matthew goode as arthur & ned weasley's sibling, beste kokdemir as tempest clearwater's codependent teenage best friend turned stranger, pedro pascal as eliza fawley's husband, jaime murray as ezekiel burke's ex wife, jonathan daviss as roshana cresswell's adoptive child, rosamund pike as damien graves' aunt, ayo edebiri as dudley dursley's friend with benefits, miray daner as paxton holloway's ex fiancée, victoria moroles as eliza fawley & oskar catchlove's daughter, tyler posey as marcus flint's teammate or michiel huisman as mikaela & nikolai karkaroff's elder brother all being up there, but only being a teeny tiny fraction of the wcs we have ! you can find the rest over here if you'd like to peruse them, and i'll pop by again before everything gets a bit hectic in case anybody needs anything !

here i answered some of those bg3 character asks on my own 👍 if any of this is inconsistent with Actual dnd lore sorry i dont know shit. my city now ^_^ IO BLAST 💥
1: Where in the Faerûn is your Tav from?
underdark. scary spidery part of it
2: What is your character's alignment?
chaotic good. mostly.
3: Race and subclass?
seldarine drow, tempest domain cleric of selûne
4: If your Tav was a companion, where would they be found?
probably around that temple ruin you discover withers in at orrr at the goblin camp breaking into the selûnite temple lmao. she’s been there before so she just wants to get to a familiar place to sit while she processes wtf is going on
9: Is your Tav from Baldur's Gate? Why are they travelling there?
i dont think so. she doesn’t really live anywhere she just fucks around. she’s going there bc her companions want to and she doesnt have anything else to do. she left the underdark thru that temple in the game so unless she wandered pretty far, shes from around the act 1 area
10: Are they proficient in playing any instruments?
no and she’s actually hilariously awful at it. when she played the spider lyre the drider that showed up was like good fucking lord knock it off
11: Weapon of choice?
i always draw her with the blood of lathander but i think right now she has a deva mace i got from killing a deva after robbing a shrine and getting cursed. so. maces
13: What are their thoughts on killing? Is it a necessary evil or do they enjoy it?
its not really her first choice but it is her second one. like if just being friendly doesnt work out after 2 minutes shes like well gang i guess we just have to kill these guys.
14: What hobbies does your Tav have?
i think she likes sewing and robbing people and breaking into places and stealing
17: Do they enjoy life as an adventurer?
yeah she loves just fucking off doing whatever
18: What would your Tav be doing if they weren't kidnapped on the Nautiloid?
fucking off doing whatever. worshipping selûne and just being loose in the woods i think. maybe breaking into someone’s basement
19: How do you think they'll meet their end?
either trying to forgive someone who does not want to be forgiven OR that assassin that’s hunting her is going to fucking get her. you know how it is with the assassin
21: What is your Tav's favorite spell?
CALL LIGHTNING!!!!!!
22: What languages is your character fluent in?
um. common. drow…? is that a thing. she’s learning the githyanki language also. and apparently she knows infernal
24: Does your character believe in the afterlife?
yepyep since im pretty sure thats a selûne thing right
25: What arcana major best represents your Tav?
ah man i have to think of all of them. major arcana… fuckkk. ill get back to u. whatever the future tense of the tower is. she already burnt everything down and rebuilt from the ashes. her character development at this point is learning not to lace her corset so tight and being really proud if her friends
26: What animal best represents your Tav?
maybe a birdie. cute little bird. or a snake. not a hostile snake though just one of the ones that hangs out and chills
27: What was their life like before the events of BG3?
she was born into house helvindar in the underdark and was raised as a war cleric of lolth (EVIL SPIDER GODDESS!). was a really good one. made a lot of sacrifices and had a looot of potential. people knew of her and were sometimes even impressed by her ruthlessness and devotion. but she started realizing that lolth didnt really have a goal, she just wanted to create chaos. they weren’t working towards anything. there was no purpose for any of this. and as she started doubting her faith she started developing empathy and got resentful of all the things she’d done just for ultimately nothing, not even her goddess’s favor. eventually she discovered that abandoned selûnite temple down there and made up her mind that she was going to flee the underdark. her elder sister found out and followed her there, they fought, but ultimately io escaped into the surface temple and stumbled outside all bloody and disoriented. she saw the moon for the first time and since it was an old selûnite temple that’d granted her escape she sought out others and eventually became a cleric of selûne. her eye was damaged in the fight with her sister, and has been replaced with a moonstone as a gift of recognition from selûne. she’s very devoted but due to her beginnings as a lolth worshipper she doesnt take any issue with whoever serving shitty or people. she’s like well shit happens. I’d like if you stopped torturing people but i believe in freedom and choices so no pressure
28: Is your character the de facto leader of the party? Or do they consider someone else to be the leader?
yeah she is but she does kind of consider lae’zel to be running this shit sometimes since she knows the most about mindflayers and all that. she just happens to be a good influence on everyone by accident by being so chill and accepting of everything
30: What's your favorite thing about your Tav?
i like her kind of like. internal conflict sort of? like she’s very sympathetic and open to forgiving/helping people who are fucked up bc she used to be fucked up like she was ritual sacrificing kids which apparently drow do, crazy shit!!! but she struggles with knowing like, how far to go. she knows not everyone can be helped/saved and she’s ultimately fine with killing them if she’s gotta. but she wonders sometimes if she gave up too early or if she gave the other person too much leeway. like… at what point is it not worth trying to help someone anymore. she also worries that her nonchalance and acceptance of “evil” people is going to put her friends in danger cuz she likes to trust people. she forgets people can and will lie. every betrayal is a surprise for her bc she wants to believe everyone is as upfront and open and honest as she is and then shes like FUCK. which is fun :)
and finally here is the desc for tempest cleric that i love so much for her;
Your faith has made you the very thunder that quakes the black firmament, the lightning coursing through the veins of a terrible storm.

ioril revendran
ioril is a Teen Drow™ from my Out of the Abyss campaign. he’s a wannabe wizard, a rude dweeb, and a political/religious extremist. he’s a busy boy!
he wrote a manifesto calling for change to drow culture and better treatment of men in their matriarchal society, as well as abolishing worship of the cruel goddess Lolth. this went over about as well as one might think and he was sentenced to death.
though he was ready to die “for the cause,” a group of surface-dwellers he shared a cell with convinced him he might be interested in seeing something called “the sun” and asked him to help them escape the underdark.
ioril is also an expy of my morrowind character and has a Dramatic Secret Backstory that’s basically the plot of the game, so wish him luck finding the volcano-dwelling godboyfriend of his dreams. unfortunately, that may be extra difficult to accomplish as he recently passed away in a tragic "blew himself up" accident, but here's hoping he can still pull it off!
rokas
rokas is a wood elf tempest cleric of Kord… or at least she was when she entered Barovia in my Curse of Strahd campaign. she was a brash and idealistic former soldier dedicated to helping as many people as she could in kord’s name, even if she wasn’t always that great at thinking her ideas through.
unfortunately the mists got to her and throughout her time there, she managed to become a werewolf, lose favor with her god and become a necromancy domain cleric, sprout skeletal wings, and became cursed to have to eat a pound of bones or fresh grave dirt every or she would die. though she had the opportunity to go home after slaying the vampire, she elected to stay in barovia instead. if only the dang vampire had stayed dead

So this really depends on your dragon classification. Are we going by the basic "European and Asian dragons are dragons", the ol "Anything snaky and maybe flying, wether a snake with feathered wings, a water serpent, or anything else is a dragon" or the "draconic cousins exist but only if they have 4 legs and a pair of wings it's a dragon"?
For the first one i'd pick Blue or Bronze dragons, which is an impossible choice for me. Both have lightning breath, Blue dragons live in the desert and collect gems (mainly sapphires, my favs), and Bronze dragons live on the coast and sometimes work in wars as SUBMARINE DRAGONS
For the second, i'd go with the Elder Tempest. They're literally everything i want: Huge, snaky, can fly quickly, is a LITERAL STORM with the powers to match, BBEG level power, etc.
For the third i'd go with the Amphithere, which is what you call a dragon with no legs and a pair of wings, but specifically if those wings have a claw each. Otherwise the Zilant, what you call a dragon with a pair of wings and it's front legs, would be my favorite
Overall my favorite is the Elder Tempest, but that's also the one that'd be classified as dragons the least (in dnd it's an elemental, not a dragon, and it's based on Quetzalcoatl, who people don't quite always call a dragon)
Fuck zodiac signs, what's your favorite dragon in all of fiction

Did you get inspiration in some background character to create Corporal Rufen or it just came from making a foil to Iroh's character and arc?
The corporal first came from a conversation @raksha-the-demon and I had after a DnD session where we somehow ended up on "disaster adults to mentor a feral genius storm-child" (I have a Tempest cleric with questionable morals that does have a soft spot for feral genius girl children. If you're wondering how that even led into this in the first place.)
So when I was looking at Iroh's arc, I realized that yeah, I wanted a character that held an equal-weight tragedy in his eyes that was as opposite as possible. So you get the corporal: younger, commoner, enlisted, chasing death doing the hard things instead of hedonism, unpredictable, and female. Raksha was largely responsible for finding her initial voice (which was inspired by a character from the series Bookburners). Although it's probably amusing in retrospect to note that while she always had an elder brother who died at Ba Sing Se, Nezha didn't become Lu Ten's XO/best friend until relatively later.
Once I had that sketch, the rest of the details started filling in themselves.

the investigation team as dnd classes
after sees and the thieves, we’re here now for the final part of this dumb series. thank god the i-team has the smallest cast size so this isn’t as lengthy as the other two, but it’s still going under the read more for reading sake. enjoy!
lets start off with our main lad souji/yu who i vote is a knowledge domain cleric. alternatively, could also be a tempest cleric if you want more zappy zappy, but i’m focusing on his pursuit of knowledge here. as the name implies, these clerics worship gods of knowledge and their temples are typically libraries. they get things such as read thoughts (using their channel divinity to read the thoughts of creatures at a surface level if they fail a saving throw) and visions of the past, which lets them see what happened in the past to a specific item or area. their domain spell list also includes speak with the dead (yikes) and scrying (so he can talk to nanako whenever :) ).
yosuke is 100% a drunken master monk and here’s why: drunken master monks fighting style is entirely based around being agile and essentially moving as if you had the unsteady feet of someone drunk, making yourself light and able to effectively dodge moves while making your opponent undermine you. while yosuke isn’t That ahead of the game in terms of how he tries to portray himself, his actual fighting style of being very acrobatic and airy fits into drunken master nicely especially considering the hit and run tactic the class utilizes. also, since we all now know yosuke is the fastest character in the p4 arena games, here’s some extra tidbit info: monks get extra movement speed every few levels and if you were to make him a wood elf, he’d have the highest speed of anyone, including a certain warforged monk. have fun with that.
so this may be a bit of a controversial take but chie as way of long death monk because of how much she wants to protect other people. their fighting style focuses on understanding how death functions and essentially ensuring they are able to accurately take down opponents by examining the different aspects and fundamentals of death. they can expand ki points to avoid death with “mastery of death” and can frighten enemies with “hour of reaping” due to their skill set. also, they get the main staple of monks which is a normal hit die for using an unarmed strike, so chie can kick as much as she wants.
i feel like yukiko is an evocation wizard since she is both a magic user and also like does put in some dps, as well as it makes sense her highest stat would be intelligence. school of evocation as a subclass is basically the dps subclass for wizard that focuses on blasting spells of most elemental affiliations but it is very commonly associated with fire since that is the most explosive (and also fireball is a very fun spell). you also get the sculpt spells feature which allows you to redirect your spells mid casting them which no other wizard subclass can do, and potent cantrip, which basically forces the enemy to take half the damage of the cantrip even if it succeeded on the saving throw. also yukiko Would threaten to hit people with her giant magic tome she keeps her spells in, don’t lie to me.
kanji’s a paladin because he’s a tanky boy and i felt that giving him barbarian would be a cop out. oath of ancients paladin i feel is the best fit for him since they’re first and foremost considered one of the oldest subclasses as they date around to druids, their essential full class cousin, who are considered ancient divine magic, and this fits as a reminder that kanji comes from an equally traditional family. their tenets essentially stand for protecting the inherent light and creativity of the world rather than a sense of morality; they uphold art and song and the general beauty of life, meaning kanji’s sewing also takes a very important role as they typically don their armor with decorations relating to this concept as a reminder that they are protecting light and life. most of their attacks center around a nature theme, and they even get a new form at 20th level due to elder champion that is almost akin to an ancient force of nature. also, they get speak with animals as an oath spell, i feel like that’s the best selling point.
alright rise’s a bard. we all knew that one. i feel like she’s a valor bard especially given her ability to fight in p4au, since valor bards aren’t exactly melee like their swords cousins but they still can pack a punch and assist their dps in combat. they can provide inspiration mid fight and also use their music to heal some hit points. flavor wise, they’re known for singing about heroes to inspire other heroes and can be considered very classic bards, and since those are typically the most popular kinds of bards, it does parallel nicely to her idol status.
teddie’s an eladrin first and foremost, potentially one that’s sort of mixed between all of the seasons to match his primary color self as well as encapsulate on the fact he would essentially be an off color fey adjacent figure like his harmless-yet-potential-to-be-harmful shadow origins in source. because of this, i think leaning into that would be good and druid circle of dreams may be the best fit for him; these druids pull their power from the feywilds and specifically the dream like state it has since generally being in the feywilds feels unreal to most people not naturally originating from it. they invoke the power of both the summer and the gloaming courts in order to act as essentially a poster child for the hopefully peaceful relations between the feywilds and the material plain, and as such they get “walker in dreams” which allows them to plain hop much like teddie can do between the shadow world and the normal world. also, like all druids can do, he can shapeshift into animals, and he can keep being his beary best self.
okay so like, i know gunslingers are a thing, but also naoto strikes me as an inquisitive rogue because they’re basically the actual detective class and subclass combo of dnd. the big take away is they have a very keen eye and basically amp up their insight and perception skills to the max, with unerring eye even allowing them to see through illusions or other magic designed to deceive one’s senses. naoto can Also have a gun still while in this class regardless and even get bonus damage on it if they get sneak attack, which is pretty neat.
bonus: adachi is a gunslinger fighter bc he literally made a model gun have a functional barrel cause he wanted a gun that badly. alternatively, he could be a fiend warlock or even the artillerist artificer bc he almost definitely has the int stat for it.
#p4#souji seta#yu narukami#yosuke hanamura#chie satonaka#yukiko amagi#teddie#kanji tatsumi#rise kujikawa#naoto shirogane#tohru adachi#investigation team#text tag#dnd au#dnd#its Done finally#i finished it right as cr live from chicago started lmao

By far the best visual in our DnD campaign so far:
Our tiny gnome paladin, suspended by a Fly spell a mile above the ground, in the eye of an Elder Tempest, facing an ancient blue dragon the size of a battleship. Anchoring herself by burying her sword into its side with her first strike, before driving a javelin of dragonslaying into its heart... rolling a nat 20 and casting a third-level Smite for a fatal 137 points of damage.
#i wish i'd taken a photo of the amount of dice she got to roll#it was a *stack*#fern didn't do much in the way of damage this fight#but that's because she was concentrating on the fly spells that stopped us from plummeting to our collective dooms#i'm proud of her for just surviving tbh :' D#sky plays d&d

Okay so I had like four posts blow up and am kinda popular ball of a sudden so some get to know me info you won't really get from this blog:
Storm, Tempeste, and Viktoria are all online pseudonyms and my real name is secret and likely to change in a year or two anyway when I get married. Like I intend to drop my family name. Chances are I will stick to Viktoria.
I'm into cryptozoology and folkloristics and am in the boat of people who would sleep with mothman given a chance.
I may or may not be a vampire. I can't have garlic. Or onion. Or any aliums for that matter. Am anemic. And the sun physically hurts me to the point I wear a big hat and get dark transition lenses, and own 3 bottles of spf 100 (lotion style because spray does nothing.)
I'm on the lower end of obese. About 250lbs. A lot of it is muscle but I'm still in the process for getting bariatric surgery because the Cherokee side of my family kinda survived the trail of tears and well, the Irish is all potato famine... And when you go through hard ship like that it fucks with dna so your ancestors can survive on less. Which makes me have a metabolic issue. If you go back really long ago I used to be slim and muscular because I had very good self control and was 3+ hours of exercise a day level active. I only ate about 1800 cal even then.
The black hair in my rare selfies is dye. I'm a flaming red ginger cause (mostly)Irish american. Okay no I'm mostly German and dutch but have almost equal amount irish. And somewhere between 1/8 and 1/32 Cherokee but we don't know because my grandmother didn't ever really get along with her mom and doesn't know wether great grandma was full or half :/ but it's enough that my brother got dark eyes and medium tone skin when I got such little melanin I have a fucking light sensitive disorder in my eyes as a result. At least I have the high cheek bones 🤷🏻♀️
My mental and physical health are debilitating and I'm fighting to get disability but it's an uphill battle for chronic and mental health disabilities. Especially in my conservative and rural home town.
I'm mostly pescetarian.
My back story made all my therapists cry.
I'm a horror fan and if you follow my weeb/Yan blog you'll find I'm a junji ito fan.
When I first started on tumblr I was all mbti and visual kei. Now I'm cottage/viking core and goth meshed into a barely cohesive pagan witch blog.
My favorite bands and singers are: The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Christian Death, Amon Amarth, Helheim, Gorgoroth, Wardruna, Heilung, Aurelio Voltaire, and Celtic Women + Heather Dale. Cruachan, Eivør, Danheim, and Tuatha de Danann are up there too. And Garmarna.
Literally that eclectic.
I'm an elder scrolls, DND, and lotr+ Hobbit+silm (Tolkien in general) type of high fantasy nerd. I'm obsessed. OBSESSED. with elves. Especially dark elves. Folklore dakkalfur, drow, dunmer, moriquendi, I'm not picky. I just. Love. Dark Elf.

Evening reblog!
The Elder Tempest is a fickle being…
I’m finally out of my drought from uploading art! *Throws a piece of D&D art to the wind*
Yes I’ve completely dived head first into the D&D pit and I don’t think I’m ever climbing out.
The Kenku shown is my character for a friend’s campaign. Her name is Sheerias, she’s a shy but well meaning Storm Sorcerer.

6, 10, 20, 32!! For the dnd asks!!
6. favorite death (monster, player character, npc, etc).
i already answered this but. my other favorite death, although i dont think it stuck unfortunately, was us managing to outsmart (sort of, or at the very least outlast) the political cult leader, azilei, who killed my tempest cleric & then getting her publicly incinerated by an elder red dragon on order of the dwarven king. that was satisfying as hell
10. your favorite enemy and the enemy you hate the most.
hmmm favorite enemy..honestly whatever u have in store for us.. im extremely 👀👀👀. most hated enemy is absolutely azilei i just want her to stay dead at this point
20. how did you get into d&d? how long have you been playing?
i got into it with our campaign! tits out hands held! so since uhh july
32. what role do you like to play the most? (tank/healer/etc?)
in my irl campaign i’ve been playing a tank/healer combination which i love, but if i had to choose one i would say healer/support roles i think. theyre just a lot of fun

Rosa’s Campaign Journal, Session 0
((Why yes, I still exist. I’ve recently gotten into a new DnD campaign playing a Knowledge Cleric who keeps a journal in character. This is a new character so I’ve decided I’m going to actually write that journal as a campaign journal here. The following is the record of my solo introduction session.))
<The journal is written in a tight, efficient script. The handwriting prioritizes efficiency and legibility over all else, void of any flourishes.>
Month of the Tempest 27, 23 P.C.
This morning I intended to go to Swift Solutions to get a task ticket immediately, but I was delayed by the priests posted here full time. The locals perform a fairly elaborate graveyard ritual in Passing and “requested” I assist in weaving a tapestry for the occasion. The ritual is less than a month away and apparently they are dreadfully behind on preparations.
I learned today that I am a terrible weaver. Valuable information, but not to the liking of the, let's diplomatically call them “conservative” local priestesses. After a few hours struggling with the thread they realized they'd move faster without me. One of the older nuns gave me an asinine dressing down about how a proper woman should know how to weave before I was dismissed. I considered pointing out that I can mend tears with a cantrip but I chose to let her expel her hot air. There is little hope for many of these bumpkins. I will save my effort for those who merit it.
The tapestry itself was a very pretty piece of work. I genuinely hope the damage I did to it is hidden. That said, they burn it as part of the ritual. With any luck I’ll be able to move on from here before that happens; watching that work go up in flames for the sake of tradition and superstition would be difficult.
I finally freed myself to get to Swift Solutions. Apparently several tickets were posted today, but by the time I got there all that remained were dregs. One ticket to test an inventor's combat machine, one to deal with a pair of hyenas getting into a farmer's livestock. All the possibilities afforded by mechanics and magic, and an inventor chooses to make another weapon. The lack of imagination depresses me. I decided to deal with the hyenas instead--if the creatures were invading farmland, they were losing their fear of humanoids. Chickens now, but how long until they take people’s pets? Their children? This was clearly the more pressing matter. (It helped that it payed better, truth told.) I was initially in a foul mood about the ticket, as I do not count combat as my greatest strength. Fortunately, that initial concern was misguided.
I met with the farmer who posted the ticket, an old human named Willson Ash. Meeting the man, I immediately admired his fortitude; he looked to be in his seventies, yet there he was in his field, still working hard. He described the situation, that a pair of hyenas separated from their pack had emerged from a thicket and killed many of his chickens. He remarked how odd it was that he was targeted first when there was another farm next door, also with a coop, much closer to the thicket. I was immediately suspicious. He said one of the farmhands from that nearby farm had seen the hyenas wandering in and out.
Inspecting the coop provided little information to work with; it seemed a perfectly normal animal attack to me. There were tracks, but I couldn't follow them far. I chose instead to focus on the witness. Next door I met a gnome man named Wren Fizzleplenty--I do appreciate a good, whimsical gnomish name. He told me that his son Glim saw the beasts and that I should talk to them. He warned me that his two sons were troublemakers though. Apparently the older son, Dimble, was the dominant one, and the two were likely at the tavern wasting their time. Worth noting, at the time it wasn't even noon. Apparently these two start drowning their senses very early.
I headed to the The Chatty Leopard Tavern, stopping at the general store to purchase a cheap bit of smoking weed to use as a bribe for the duo on the way. I found them deep in their cups, and noted that the pair were smoking tobacco outside of the designated smoking area--assholes. I enlisted the assistance of the barkeep--Westfield-- and a waitress, I think her name is Luna. I hoped to separate them while they were shuffling out of their seats. I didn't hear the full conversation but eventually the waitress ended up slapping Dimble and expelling the duo from the tavern entirely. Not the plan, but sufficient. I must remember to give Luna a generous tip as thanks next time I see her.
As the pair were exiting, I got Glim's attention, saying it would only take a moment. Thankfully Dimble either didn't notice or didn't care, exiting the tavern and allowing me to talk to the younger sibling alone. His first story fell apart immediately; I had been to his home and observed that he would not have been able to see the beasts entering the thicket under cover of darkness unless he were actually out in the fields at the time. After some prodding, intimidation, and eventually promising the joint in return, he relented and told the truth; that he and his brother had killed and skinned a pair of starving hyenas months before and used their skins as cover to kill Ash's chickens themselves. As far as I could tell their motive was pure spite; Dimble apparently saw them as competition for his family farm and--pointedly, instead of actually working himself--decided to attack them.
Glim struck me as a complete pushover. I rather doubt he'd had an independent thought for a long time, he was so utterly dominated by his elder brother. I saw hope for redemption in the pathetic gnome, so I decided to usher him to confess the crime himself. It would have been much easier to go into the woods and find the hyena skins out there after Glim told me where they were hidden, but I wanted to make sure he admitted the crime so his punishment would be less harsh--as well as get him away from Dimble.
As we exited the tavern, Dimble confronted me, demanding to know what took so long. I told him forthright that I knew what they'd done, and that I was taking Glim to explain what had happened to the farmers. Dimble moved to pull Glim away from me, but I stood between the two and wouldn't pass. He started making threats, which I answered with proof that I am an able spellcaster and could defend myself. There was a moment where I was expecting him to strike at me, but it passed. The little fool was a coward, all talk. After I told him as much, I walked away with Glim while he deflated like a pricked balloon.
I spoke to the pair's father first. I question how he'd let them get so out of hand without intervention, but I don't know the full details of this family's dealings. Perhaps this was a marked escalation in their delinquency. Regardless, Wren was suitably aghast at his son's behavior. The three of us went to Ash and explained. After getting my ticket signed they asked what I thought should happen. I recommended that Glim be put to work on Ash's farm to repay him for the slain livestock, while Dimble be shut in the town jail for as long as they could possibly keep him there. The two agreed immediately.
I do not think jail will actually move Dimble to change his ways. I worry that, if he meets the wrong people in the jail, he may only escalate to actual criminal behavior. Hopefully that worry is ill-founded; how many people does a small town like this actually incarcerate? Still, I don't know how to actually handle Dimble; he seems rotten to the core. Hopefully the time they are separated will be long enough for Glim to develop a backbone.
Overall, I'm pleased with the result. A successful task grants the credibility I need to move to bigger things; healers are in high demand so with this success behind me I expect I can find my way into a troupe quickly. Perhaps as soon as tomorrow; the secretary at Swift Solutions mentioned a larger job on the horizon and that a group of other adventurers would be gathering there tomorrow to discuss it. I intend to take this opportunity.
The temptation to use a few coins from the reward money on some pipeweed for myself is significant, but I need to save coins for now. I intend to purchase a focus for the Identify spell soon, so I can offer that service to any troupe I end up with. That is normally a wizard's work, but if I can offer both healing and identification I suspect I will be in quite high demand. I will save up, and after I've purchased that I will seek out something with a higher quality and vacate my body for a time.
<The writing here is a bit less neat and compact than the previous entry.>
Month of the Tempest 28, 23 P.C.
Had a strange dream, felt need to record it. Was on an old ship at sea, observing a woman in an elaborate red hood cradling a baby. She walked on deck, which was shrouded in fog. Even through this fog I could see a large city nearby. I heard a man indicate they were landing in Dawnroad soon.
<The writing has righted itself, tightened up to look like the script of the previous entry at this point.>
This dream felt… foreign, almost, like it wasn’t supposed to be mine. I don’t remember anything like this happening, and I was in third person so I couldn’t have been the baby. Presuming dreams make sense, which, point taken. Still, I don’t normally remember my dreams with this sort of clarity. Very strange. It probably means nothing, but I felt the need to record it immediately all the same.
