DECEMBER 2017 DIMENSIONS ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULES & REVIEW

Note: As always, individual schedules are up to roleplayers within reason. Any major individual schedules, especially those related to points claims, should be cleared with the main first. These schedules may be updated throughout the month if new information needs to be added.

*This will be updated as more items are announced.

Overall company

With Dimensions Entertainment hosting two nights of Dimensions United concerts this month, as well as a 15th anniversary gala, the goal for December is to promote intra-company closeness by having their artists make frequent schedule and supervised appearances together. Inter-company closeness will also be promoted by inviting all artists from both BC Entertainment and Gold Star Media to both concerts and the gala.

The new girl group is currently finishing debut preparations with hopes of debut in Q1 of 2018.

December Company Schedules:

December 15 & 16: Dimensions United Concerts.

December 17: Dimensions 15th Anniversary Gala.

Gal.actic

Dimensions continues to push individual music/acting/modeling/variety schedules, as well as a new plan to pursue a public bond between Gal.actic and the company’s junior groups. No word on their next comeback yet.

December 3 & 4: Filming for Dimensions United Concert VCR (one solo, one with Alien, one with entire company).

December 10: Morning radio show appearance to promote Dimensions United Concert.

December 12: Special guests on 7ROPHY’s group V Live.

December 20: Photoshoot with 7ROPHY, Dimensions Soloist 2, and Dimensions Soloist 3 for spread in February issue of Elle Girl.

Alien

As they wrap promotions for this comeback, which did better than expected, they will enter meetings about their next album-the first under Choi Dongwook’s creative direction, which Dimensions hope to release in the first quarter of 2018. Alien is currently the company’s most active group, as they’ve had a recent resurgence of fans as the lawsuit begins to be forgotten by new fans who weren’t following them at the time. Dimensions views a success story for Alien as the number one way to repair the company’s image and may be willing to redirect their focus from MARS to Alien should their success continue.

December 14: Member Daeyeol releases Dimensions Portal song “Instant Love”.

December 18: Release of (non-promoted song) “That Christmas”.

December 21: Special guests on 7ROPHY’s group V Live.

December 26: Fansign in Busan.

December 31: MBC Gayo Daejejeon at Ilsan Dream Center.

MARS

The album for MARS’s next comeback is in its final stages, despite an unclear 2018 comeback date. The title track has been decided and the tracklist is being finalized.

7ROPHY

Dimensions continues to push fan interaction and group unity with their regular V Lives, but this month, in the spirit of the Dimensions United concert and gala, they will be featuring other Dimensions artists as guests on each one.

December 7: Scheduled group V Live with special guest MARS.

December 8: Member Bobo ends “Beautiful” promotions.

December 8: Member Yenny releases non-promoted pre-release single “Sunday” featuring Knight’s Taeyong.

December 12: Scheduled group V Live with special guest Gal.actic.

December 15: Member Yenny releases debut solo album + music video for title track “Mystery” + has album showcase, solo promotions continue until January 15.

December 16: Scheduled group V Live with special guests Dimensions Soloist 1, Dimensions Soloist 2, and Dimensions Soloist 3.

December 20: Photoshoot with 7ROPHY, Dimensions Soloist 2, and Dimensions Soloist 3 for February issue of Elle Girl.

December 21: Scheduled group V Live with special guest Alien.

December 26: Scheduled group V Live with special guest Unity.

December 27: Member Yenny releases music video for b-side track “Trick or Treat” off of solo album.

December 31: Scheduled group New Year’s Eve V Live.

Unity

Unity’s comeback continues to be delayed. Choi Dongwook has prioritized the new girl group and hopes to debut them before Unity has their comeback. They continue working in the studio and are still in the process of picking their next title track. The potential reality show has also pushed back so that the new girl group can hopefully make cameos in it.

Soloist 1

He’s being allowed to work on his music at his own pace, as an artistic and public asset to the company.

Soloist 2

Dimensions Entertainment is currently brainstorming how to give her a comeback that will match, or preferably, exceed her success this year with “Gashina”.

She’s still mostly on a break artistically, but she’s being encouraged to branch out into many avenues to keep her face out there.

NOVEMBER 2017 DIMENSIONS ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULES & REVIEW

*Some schedules are more model artist-based than others this month due to needing to get them done quickly, but let me know if you have any questions.

Overall company

Inter-company relations are at their peak following the Hallyu Triple Fantasy concerts in Japan. All concerts sold out and all companies have agree to another event of the nature. They’re currently in the process of booking venues and arranging dates. The artists are aware of this, although the details have not made it down to them at this time. Dimensions Entertainment would especially like to push relations with BC Entertainment, in order to gain more mainstream recognition for their individual artists.

The CEO’s nephew, Choi Dongwook continues to take on an even larger role in the company. With the current creative director of the company stepping down, it has been announced that Dongwook will be the new creative director of the company, leaving him largely in charge of concepts and development of comebacks within the company from now on. He plans to work more closely with the artists themselves for his directing than the former creative director.

Artists are aware of a new girl group in the final stages of preparations for debut with a concept different from both Gal.actic and 7ROPHY. They're Choi Dongwook’s first official project as creative director.

November Company Schedules:

All groups and soloists begin preparations and rehearsals for Dimensions United concert, which is slated for the end of the year.

2017 MAMA on November 25 & 29 (& December 1).

Gal.actic

Gal.actic was unable to earn production costs back with their last album, so Dimensions would like to push them into individual music/acting/modeling/variety schedules depending on what they’re marketable in. Any executive preparations for another album are in their early stages as management brainstorms a way to get a profit from Gal.actic again.

November 22 & 23: Photoshoot for men’s cosmetic brand EXCEED.

Alien

Coming up on their fifth comeback of the year, fans of Alien are getting suspicious that Dimensions is overworking the group. Dimensions wants to counter this by giving the group a more relaxed schedule for this comeback than the others this year, although many would say fans concerns about overworking are not unfounded.

November 1: Performance at Pyeongchang Winter Olympics G-100 Concert alongside Knight, Unity, Origin, and WISH.

November 4: Performance at Dream Concert Pyeongchang alongside White Knight, MARS, 7ROPHY, Dimensions Soloist 2 and Silhouette.

November 7: Release of The Code & album Show-Con at Jangchung Arena, group promotions continue until December 7 with variety show and music show appearances.

November 10: Fansign in Yangcheon, Seoul.

November 12: Fansign in Hongdae, Seoul.

November 13: Rehearsal for MBC Fall Cover Song Festival.

November 15: 2017 Asia Artist Awards at Jamsil Indoor Stadium.

November 16: MBC Fall Cover Song Festival. (Mini-event)

November 20: Radio show appearance.

November 28: Fansign in Sinchon, Seoul.

November 29: MAMA in Japan.

MARS

MARS originally had a comeback scheduled for the end of the year, but it was pushed back after the old creative director resigned from his position. The comeback will likely be released in early 2018, but for now, the group is focused on their two fanmeeting concerts in mid-November that were scheduled last minute to replace the comeback.

November 4: Performance at Dream Concert Pyeongchang alongside Alien, White Knight, 7ROPHY, Dimensions Soloist 2 and Silhouette.

November 13: Rehearsal for MBC Fall Cover Song Festival.

November 18 & 19: MARS hosts 2017 MARS Live Super NovaMEET Fan-meeting concert in Seoul at Jamsil Indoor Stadium.

November 28: Member Mark releases debut solo album Mirror + music video for title track “Eyes, Nose, Lips” + has album showcase, solo promotions continue until December 28.

7ROPHY

Dimensions wants to focus on strengthening 7ROPHY’s fanbase so that they can maintain their changing concepts concept. All of Dimensions’ other groups have passionate fanbases, even if they’re niche, and 7ROPHY hasn’t obtained that yet. To focus on connecting with fans, the members will do a V Live every week for the entirety of November, as well as do a fansign and mini-fanmeeting. Members will encouraged to do individual fan outreach as well.

November 27: Scheduled group V Live.

Unity

Like MARS, Unity’s comeback has been delayed due to the change in creative director, but they are working in the studio some for their eventual comeback. Dimensions is being particularly careful with how they promote Unity now since they see them as their best investment at this time and they want to strike a careful balance between keeping them in the public eye and not over-saturating the market with them. A reality show is in the works for the group, but has not begun filming yet.

Soloist 1

As usual, he is being given a lot of artistic and personal freedom. The change of creative director doesn’t affect him nearly as much as most since he has such a large say in his own creative direction under the company and Dongwook has shown no sign of changing that.

Soloist 2

Dimensions Entertainment is extremely pleased with the success of her latest single “Gashina” and consider her their most valuable act at the moment. They don’t want accusations of overworking to soil her spotlight at the moment, so her schedule is relatively light for the month.

Soloist 3

None of her singles have sold as well as her debut single “Fly”, but she still sells better than either of Dimensions’ current female groups, so she isn’t on the company’s bad side. As they brainstorm ways to garner her more publicity, she’s on a break to be allowed to pursue activities that interest her most.
