Louis blew the budget on the DMA'S and didn't have much left for the other two acts. The Illiterati are still running the account.

Dang, @toringo and his DMA/Curt au... dang....
I love this au, this is my second fic for it and I don't intend on stopping. Funny that Szol just posted a comic for a similar idea for this, great minds think alike I guess? (It was brought up in the SAF server art channel). Anyways, love this au, pls read? or don't I don't know

Screw it headcanons I have for Owen Carvour based on my own experiences as a Lefty because it's my turn on the "project onto your hyperfixation" talking stick.
He hates round doorknobs. I'm sure he probably doesn't have nearly the same hellish experiences I do with them but they still are the least effective type of doorknob, especially for lefties because of the weird way you have to turn your hand to open them. (Seriously, I've been stuck standing infront of doors with them for 5 minutes at some occasions because they don't have clear indicators of how far you need to turn them and it's very awkward to do with your left hand. Why do they exist. Stop making them.)
I really like the headcanons that Owen isn't religious, and I'd like to add onto this. Being left handed was very stigmatized against prior to the 70s, and this was especially the case within the Church, even today. A lot of naturally born lefties I know are ambidextrous or right handed today because of family ties to the church when they were younger that forced that on them. I was told by some of the caretakers when I was about 7 that I'd "never go to heaven because I was a left handed spawn of the devil." I can see Owen being raised religious and leaving it in his adulthood and it's why he's able to use his right hand fairly well on spy missions (and subsequently DMA), or attempting to outright refuse going because of this sort of normalized treatment and stigma.
Owen absolutely has a favorite brand of ballpoint pen because it's ink dries quickly so it doesnt smudge and get all over his hand and clothes when he writes. And he absolutely carries around multiple of these pens everywhere he goes and only uses them. You might think "oh its so people can't take fingerprints or something from the pen" but no its cause he doesn't like how smeared ink looks because it feels unprofessional. After Curt figured it out I feel like he'd probably carry around a box of it in his own go bag incase Owen's ever ran out but insisted it was because he liked the grip or something. (it was such a rarity he completely forgot he had them. Guess what he finds 4 years later among his things when he decides to get back into being a spy again.)
Continuing the headcanon that Owen draws and has his own sketchbook, and at a glance it's not difficult for Curt to tell among casual clothes which ones are his and which ones are Owen's, because Owen's have a bit of a shiny sheen to the left wrist sleeve from all the graphite and charcoal that gets absorbed into it. Owen hates it because of how difficult it is to get those stains out and Curt finds it funny when he fusses about it.
Owen hates it when people point out he's left handed, even in jest. Not only because hes a spy and does not need the added attention, but because it makes him feel like a zoo animal for people to gawk at, or some strange oddity on display. The only exception to this is if it's a kid pointing this out, especially if the child is Lefty too and excited about not being the only one. He won't outwardly show it, but he melts inside because he didn't get a lot of those interactions growing up either (if at all) and if it helps a kid feel a bit more normal then so be it.
There's probably more I'll add onto this but for now have these hehe.

Do you have any more things you wanna talk about with that EF!verse inspired universe? I'm excited to hear more!
For context for any newcomers, this is referencing the project in this post, which is inspired by the content over at @efverse! Check the inspiration out!
As for some things I'd like to talk about with the project— I've mostly been developing the Legends, so I'll talk about that!
Legendary pokemon operate similarly to how they do in my Pokemon Mystery Dungeon AU, The Present is a Gift.
Lugia and Ho-oh are ancient sweethearts engaged in a millenia-long courtship. They're sickeningly sweet and sappily romantic in their relationship.
Lugia governs the Bird Trio, which were gifts from Ho-oh. Ho-oh governs the Beast Trio, which were gifts from Lugia.
Lugia is feathery, as opposed to the more dolphin-like skin her species is usually depicted with in the source media.
Mew and Regigigas are close friends. Mew gets parenting advice from her after learning of Mewtwo's creation.
Alto Mare is the coastal town called home by the Eon Duo, and has a defense mechanism called the DMA that could be catastrophically dangerous if used incorrectly. The DMA is guarded by the firstborn child of each generation in a particular family. This guardian associates closely with Latios and Latias. A new guardian has recently been appointed, and Latias befriended the replacement right away. Latios, who was extremely close with the previous guardian, is much slower to warm.
The Lunar Duo are actually a single entity known by many names. She undergoes a grotesque transformation with the phases of the moon where she shifts between Darkrai and Cresselia's appearances. She tends to isolate herself, as when the moon turns dark her powers become uncontrollable and dangerous.
Heatran's body is constantly reforming underneath stoney armor due to its lavalike, impossible to contain nature.
There's a specific Legend responsible for our main character's friend disappearing along with everyone's memories of him.

I haven't watched saf from start to finish for like a week now, so I put it on while working on my sign project. I just got to the DMA reveal and I'm already about to cry and bracing myself, fuck why do I watch this show?? My heart is about to fracture into a thousand pieces and I'm just waiting around for it. Absolutely wild that this show is funny, funny, funny and then suddenly stabs you in the heart in such a big, unfunny way

Good morning,
So, so happy for you and all of those who attended. Watching online was also breathtaking. The band was so good. Louis was wonderful and in his feels. The crowd looked so joyful. Dancing, singing, smiling, crying - so totally in the moment. Beautiful to watch Louis loving Mexico and Mexico loving Louis.
Weather wise it seemed like a nice evening. Yes? How were the openers? What are some of your top moments? What lyric got to you? Gave you chills? Made you think/say "Oh my"? Could you see the screens? What tattoo made you think "Oh this is real"?
Wishing you a wonderful Sunday, Funday, glad it is not Monday as you dance in the memories. Take care. W
Hi W!!Thanks for sharing your perspective 😭🤧🤧🤧😭. I love this quote you said "Beautiful to watch Louis loving Mexico and Mexico loving Louis." So true. I think is more easy for me to answer your questions right now that doing a recap so thank you for this:
Weather wise it seemed like a nice evening. Yes? Ok so it was nice until like 7-8 that the started to look a lot of clouds on top of us and they started to souns like a warning. I was worried but suddenly (Louis the Sun doing his magic) there was no cloud and the sky look clear again. It wasn't cold it was fresh I didn't wear a sweater, probably why Louis choose that perfect outfit.
How were the openers? Omg Giant Rooks were so freaking good. Is a shame that not a lot of people were there when they open (they were the first and play it at 7) and not a lot of people know them, but I hope they gained some fans, they said they will be back. For DMA'S I think they were amazing, I'm still not that familiar with his music, I listened to them before the show and really like them, but I do think the crowd need it more energy sadly they were yelling and clapping at some point but not enough, I hope they still felt some love.
What are some of your top moments? Gosh I think first was the Greatest intro, the screens, the band saying the ohohoh and then the Faith In the Future writing of Louis in the screen I almost lose it right there, I was going to cry I really couldn't believe I was there.
KMM was iconic, and it just felt that Louis was waiting for the traditional iconic fan project created by the fans in Chile. When he says here we go and we all started to doing the lights was magical. And I saw a video for feqw we were so many and look incredible, I can't believe I was part of that.
I mean all the songs had something special, we were so loud in btm, hoth, chicago, night changes, 505, all of them. I love every aecond of each song.
I think being part of the fans projects was something special for me. I always love seeing the fan projects and going from seeing them on livestreams or videos to being part of them in person was so special and the fact that Louis love them make me so happy. There were 3 fan projects the SIBWAWC that for a clip I saw it work 😭🤧 and Louis love it, also the Walls project with the lights of the mexican flag and fan signs that says Mexico Loves You (I don't know if this work out haven't see videoa with the lights). Same for Saturdays it was with white and red lights look really beautiful for the clip I saw.
What lyric got to you? The one of Angels fly "You'll be okay, we can talk tomorrow I'm on my way with some time to borrow" and Saturdays "My heart might be broken But I won't be broken down"
Gave you chills? Made you think/say "Oh my"? Probably Out Of My System Louis and the band were so freaking incredible.
Could you see the screens? The screns is the only thing I could saw ☹️. Before Louis the people in front of me were in an angle where I can saw the stage but then they move and it was only the screens for me sadly. Only saw once Louis silouette.
What tattoo made you think "Oh this is real"? You meam like a moment that make me realize thia ia real? Or a tattoo from Louis? I don't get that question but. If ia the first one besides the greatest intro probably when Louis started speaking. If is the second one uhm I couldn't see a tattoo of him in the screens.
Thank you for your questions W. I hope you have a lovely day.

Maestro!Sigma headcanons
Did you ask for these? Absolutely not. Will I make some anyway? Absolutely. I'm obsessed with Maestro!Sigma.
He has a DMA - Doctorate of Musical Arts - with a concentration in Conducting and Piano as his primary instrument [I'm not just projecting - hear me out: he has big hands]
During undergrad, he double-minored in Music History and Astrophysics. [Okay, I am projecting]
Dr. Siebren de Kuiper... one of those pianist-conductor freaks that can conduct during a piano concerto. The eyebrows help. For example, Leonard Bernstein: https://youtu.be/cTO77dwm6uk
He also plays cello and a whole gamut of percussion instruments.
He's also pretty good at drumset actually, and believes that many orchestral pieces would be improved with the inclusion of a discerning and knowledgeable improvising drummer.
He's autistic! 100% He has synesthesia. He has figured out how to use the synesthesia to keep track of the orchestra.
He unfortunately, also, has a little bit of tinnitus.
He prefers to conduct without a stick, he prefers the freedom and flexibility of using all hand gestures, but he does keep a stick handy for clarity when coordinating tricky sections with his ensembles or when he's a guest conductor and he finds they aren't quite following.
Part of the way he compels attention is by unintentional intimidation - his sheer size [I mean height!], sometimes his conversational tone is off, sometimes he gets snappy if he doesn't realize that some sensory thing is bothering him [flourescent lights, electrical hum, a new dress shirt has Slightly Wrong Texture], and well, sometimes he gets snappy if you aren't trying to fix what he told you to do the first time.
There are definitely people that don't like him for that last part - you can't hide behind the rest of your section if he's conducting.
Part of the way he compels attention is the fact that there are a ton of musicians crushing on him at some level or another. What? He's gorgeous, and intoxicating to watch this behemoth of a man exercise such fluidity when he conducts.
[He is deeply oblivious to how he flusters some of his musicians as he does not make direct eye contact any longer than necessary to identify who he needs to assist, he's actually usually fixing his eyes on the musicians' hands for technique - another intimidation factor.]
Unlike most conductors, he's not amazing at metaphors unless he's prepared them ahead of time.
Whenever he was employed as a conductor/orchestral director in a University, and after he retired, he would usually also audit a high level Astronomy or Physics class every semester.
If he goes on a tangent during rehearsal, there's a 50% chance it's about space.
Big Star Trek fan. He couldn't pick a favorite series, though, his opinions are too nuanced to rank any entire shows. He'd find something to appreciate about each series. Even Enterprise, even if the theme song makes him want to vomit.

"WISTERIA MAIDEN"
by Juuri
Tokyo-born Juuri commonly uses Japanese patterns, motifs, and flora to enhance her portrayals of delicate beauty. In 2020 Juuri painted this well known kabuki character in Tullahoma, Tennessee—site of of one of the WW2 internment sites for those of Japanese descent—for the Walls for Women project. Walls for Women was created by DMA to celebrate the centenary of Tennessee's role as the final state to ratify the 19th Ammendment, and to facilitate the ongoing conversation concerning the rights of women "in all facets of life."

Body Harvest
Tumblr media Tumblr media
PAL release: 30th September 1998
NA release: 20th October 1998
JP release: N/A
Developer: DMA Design
Publisher: Gremlin (PAL), Midway (NA)
N64 Magazine Score: 91%
Tumblr media
Body Harvest was originally going to be a large collaboration between DMA Design and Nintendo, but Nintendo ended up pulling out, leaving DMA to work it all out on their own. Despite this, DMA turned out something impressive in size and scope.
This game was the birth of the current open world modern-day open world games – many people associate it with GTA 3 on PS2, but many aspects of that can be found in Body Harvest. Of course, both were made by DMA Design (now known as Rockstar North), but it’s amazing how much of what they did started on the N64.
Tumblr media
Alien bugs keep harvesting humans and, as humanity are on their last legs, the hero Adam and his assistants (a woman in a skimpy outfit and a robot) are sent back in time to stop multiple invasions to save humanity.
Roaming out of your time ship, the game feels like a 3rd person shooter – the controls are pretty good for the time, with a big help from autoaim. However, before you encounter your first enemies, you’ll come across a car, that you can hop in.
Tumblr media
The vehicles are very odd to control by today’s standards, but you can get used to them. There are a massive amount of vehicles in the game – and not just cars, but tanks, planes, boats, helicopters and more. Some have their own weapons and special abilities, while all essentially act as armour for you – you don’t lose your health while in a vehicle, becoming vulnerable once they blow up.
The vehicles aren’t just for getting to places, ether, they’re all part of the “puzzle” of each area. The open world isn’t just a backdrop for the game, but is integral to the design of the game. You’ll encounter many roadblock and will need to figure out how to get past. It’s something that I feel a lot of open world games lack and you’re constantly thinking about how to get about the landscape.
Tumblr media
The first area itself is impressive in size and scope, and that’s just one of the maps. There are four main areas – Greece 1916, Java 1941, America 1966, Siberia 1991 – that have unique looks and vehicles, all with its own puzzle to figure out. There’s also a final mission that takes place on the alien comet, but it’s a more straightforward combat mission.
I did find some parts of Java and America a bit too difficult to navigate, and sometimes a harvest will happen in an inconvenient location – as humans are eaten by the large harvester bugs (one of many different types of bug aliens), a bar will go up and losing too many humans will result in failure -and every so often a mutant will be created to hunt you down.
Tumblr media
The difficulty of the game is very unfair, especially due to how the game saves. Each location has 3 or 4 alien processors and you can only save at beacons placed after these have been destroyed. This means that there can be a very long time between saves and messing up a fight can cost you hours of time.
On top of that, the game unfortunately has technical issues. Vehicles can sometimes get stuck, and some are required for progressing. Making a wrong turn when exploring can also lead you to a place where you can’t return, meaning you have to reset. These issues make it a pain to play the original version of it, so I highly encourage playing in a way that utilises save states.
Tumblr media
While it certainly shows its age, Body Harvest is a phenomenal game. It’s simple, yet expansive at the same time, and the open world is designed around the gameplay. This game gets overlooked a lot, yet it was definitely an important step in the evolution of video games.
I also do wonder how different Rockstar would have been if Nintendo properly supported this project – would GTA3 had become a GameCube exclusive?
Body Harvest is magnificent. In many ways, it’s the ultimate 3D shoot-’em-up: packed-to-bursting with aliens, peppered with explosions, awash with blood and innards and rollicking good fun. Get it in.
- Tim Weaver, N64 Magazine #22
Remake or remaster?
Body Harvest is perfect for a remake. there are four amazing levels to recreate in higher detail, sort out the issues with saving, add some bonus challenges (perhaps let people return to previous levels to explore fully), better driving mechanics. The game’s world is wonderful, it just needs updating.
Official ways to get the game.
There is no official way to get Body Harvest

Arduino Due vs. Mega: A Comprehensive Comparison
What is Arduino Due and Mega?
The Arduino platform has revolutionized the world of DIY electronics, providing hobbyists and professionals alike with versatile and powerful microcontroller boards. Among the myriad of options, the Arduino Due and Arduino Mega stand out for their advanced features and robust performance. The Arduino Due, introduced in 2012, is the first Arduino board based on a 32-bit ARM core microcontroller, the Atmel SAM3X8E. In contrast, the Arduino Mega, built around the 8-bit ATmega2560 microcontroller, is known for its abundant I/O pins and memory. Understanding the differences between these two boards can help in selecting the right one for specific projects, enhancing both functionality and efficiency.
Processing Power and Performance
The processing capabilities of the Arduino Due and Mega are distinctly different, primarily due to their core microcontrollers. The Arduino Due, with its 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor running at 84 MHz, offers significantly higher processing power compared to the Arduino Mega's 8-bit ATmega2560, which operates at 16 MHz. This difference in architecture and clock speed means that the Due can handle more complex calculations and tasks faster and more efficiently than the Mega. For projects requiring high computational power, such as real-time data processing or handling multiple sensors simultaneously, the Due is the superior choice. However, for simpler tasks, the Mega's processing power may suffice.
Memory and Storage Capabilities
Memory is another critical aspect where the Arduino Due and Mega diverge. The Arduino Due is equipped with 512 KB of flash memory for code storage and 96 KB of SRAM for data. On the other hand, the Arduino Mega has 256 KB of flash memory and 8 KB of SRAM. Additionally, the Due features a Direct Memory Access (DMA) controller, which allows for efficient memory operations, freeing up the CPU to handle other tasks. These memory enhancements make the Due more suitable for applications requiring large codebases and significant data handling, such as advanced robotics or sophisticated control systems. The Mega, with its more modest memory, is ideal for less demanding applications.
Input/Output Capabilities and Expansion
Both the Arduino Due and Mega are renowned for their extensive input/output (I/O) capabilities, yet they cater to different needs. The Mega boasts a whopping 54 digital I/O pins, 16 analog inputs, and 4 UARTs, making it ideal for projects that require multiple sensors, actuators, or communication interfaces. The Due, while offering fewer digital I/O pins at 54, includes 12 analog inputs and 4 UARTs, along with additional features like two DAC outputs for analog signal generation and enhanced PWM capabilities. These features provide the Due with superior analog output capabilities, making it suitable for applications like audio processing or advanced signal generation.
Power Consumption and Compatibility
Power consumption and compatibility are practical considerations when choosing between the Arduino Due and Mega. The Due operates at 3.3V logic levels, which makes it more power-efficient than the Mega, which uses 5V logic levels. This lower voltage operation is beneficial for battery-powered projects where energy efficiency is crucial. However, the 3.3V logic also means that the Due is not directly compatible with 5V components without level shifters. The Mega, with its 5V logic, offers broader compatibility with existing Arduino shields and components, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of projects. Understanding these power and compatibility nuances can help in making an informed decision based on the project's specific requirements.

Coming soon - Pixel Trinkey!
We were taking a look at the new Windows 11 HID Dynamic Lighting protocol (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/component-guidelines/dynamic-lighting-devices) and i thought this would be a good excuse to design a small NeoPixel or DotStar driver board. like many of our other Trinkeys (https://www.adafruit.com/search?q=Trinkey) it is running a SAM21E18, which is a small chip, but the 32KB of SRAM can drive nearly 10,000 pixels! we put a 5V level shifter on a SPI peripheral so they could be used as data/clock or, if you want, two NeoPixel strands. this isn't a super-fancy driver: it isn't NeoPXL8 (https://www.adafruit.com/search?q=neopxl8) where you get dithering and DMA, but it's probably just fine for the vast amount of lighting projects.

Pseudo-historical project about 1912 unit record equipment computation aka the "Symbolic Analyst Processor" full stack!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(above pictures emulate the looks of what this tech stack documentation and actual use may look like, still very early in the process though)
It is still coming together by my head as I write infodump notes and research various aspects of the whole time, (including the WIMP & MERN/MEAN stack) but yk, things are coming together nicely to give some milestone project mid-way between my current phase in life and the next where I go develop a fully alternative INTJ lively stack of tools. Explanations, history dives, lively reaction studies and a couple more content suggestions related to it are on the way.
Behold, the infodumps
"Top-bottom and back up workflow" 1910 / 1912 Unit Record Equipment Tabulator Computation "Bundle" Project (Pflaumen & Utalics' SymbolicAnalystProcessor)
Information Processing Language / LISP 1.5 / Bel, A-BASIC / DIBOL, Spreadsheets, Cellular Automaton, COS-310, magnetic tape storage too, TECO / VIM, Assembly, Wirebox, Tabulator, Alphanumeric Interpreter, Printer, RTTY device, Data Recording, Bulk Data Processing Indexed Cards, 60-64 entries Deque, 4K Direct-use RAM, 12K * 24 storage devices, Phonebook, Timeclock, DateTime Calendar, Programmable, Statistics, Demographics, Voting, Ledger, Journal, Logging, Rolodex, 12 Generic-use Registers & 4 Special Registers, Catalog, ~16 Keys Pad, Customized Hexadecimal Numeric Representation for "MachineCode" Hexdumps, 4*12 bits per page of data, Macros, Paracosm, may be useful for Military & Civilian Uses, Electrical Energy (and possibly incorporates some mechanical energy too), Nouns & Verbs, "Vector" XY plotter, Lambda Calculus / Panini Grammar / Universal Turing Machine Thesis, Rotors, Ural TriodeVaccumTube "Mainframe", Interactive-Use, Hypertext Interactive Video Terminal, Memex, Modem, Electric + Radio Telegraphy, Document-processing, Word-processing, Orange Plasma Touchscreen Terminal, Time-sharing, Cash Register, Bank, Automatic Teller Machine, Vending Machine, Oracle, Typewriter / Selectric, IBM 701, IBM 1440, IBM 403, IBM System/360, OpenPOWER, F#, IBM Tellum, MUD, TextWorld, solo text-adventures, Email, AIX, z/OS, Linux for IBM mainframes, Symbolic Processing System, Autocoder, modular, IBM Lotus Suite, interface with KDE or CDE, paper handling equipment, Addventure, 12-bit basic data unit as designated word, Distributed Interactive System, VeneraFS (cladogram Parade+DolDoc), GNU Hurd / MINIX3-style Microkernel, either permissive FLOSS license or public domain waiver, extensive documentation, printed illustrated booklets, music-playback, emulator / compiler / bytecode / interpreter, analog media-friendly, mostly for didactic tinkering educational uses, multilingual reconfigurable programming, HTML+CSS, Markdown, Argdown, DMA, hardware-friendly, software development environment for direct-access programmers and aesthetic designers, sub-version control system like Git, various hardware & software implementations, museum / observatory Toymaker story, constructed languages / imaginative paracosm influences around the immersive in-world lore of the "16^12" pseudo-historical setting…
Back to the point
The list is far from exhaustive or finished, as life is so much more than meets the eye. But this should be a good start to remind myself what I am working towards, a full revamp of the last ~120 years of history with much attention and care put into making it as satisfying to me as possible, despite the very probable scenario where people take the ideas and incorporate only some of such "modules" in their own workflows. Which is fine but not taking the whole package (and only specific modules) is eventually gonna be a major learning experience for me considering the reason I revamp it all beyond control freak stuff is literally to provide less exclusive / less invasive tools that anyone can learn and customize despite being very... idiosyncratic yk.
Still welcoming suggestions and constructive criticism for such big time, I hope those textual infodumps I do every so often don't bother you too much... Cya soon!
