Kirby sales numbers are actually kind of insane when you look at them:

Kirby's Pinball Land outsold Return to Dream Land by ~400,000 copies

Squeak Squad outsold Adventure, Super Star, Crystal Shards, Amazing Mirror, RTDL, and Robobot

Dreamland 3 doesn't have accurate sales data because it sold so little that it wasn't even reported publicly (under 1mil copies)

The worst selling mainline Kirby games are DL3, Super Star, and Robobot in that order

SSU sold almost double what the original did

The top five bestselling Kirby games, in order, are DL1, FL, KSA, SSU, and TDX (with Squeak Squad right behind)

i guess my favourite character has to be kirby, if i had to choose just one! the cast is filled with all sorts of characters that easily steal my heart but kirby’s at the top because playing as him fulfills my need to have godlike powers and beat-up everyone who's ever wronged me as a child

marx. i don’t hate him or anything but he scares me a little. drawing him is a pain because the product is so heavily distorted—it looks like something out of resident evil instead. i’m working on it, though.

gosh. diddly. darn. miracle matter. i love miracle matter so much. they're my scrimblo. my mipy. i would double tap the when.

it took me many attempts to defeat them, but despite the heavy challenge, the requirement of having to employ a hefty amount of strategy and precision to so do just. i love it so much. boss fights are so poggers when they're more than "uh just run up and punch them i guess"

dark matters can transform themselves to mimic things they've seen and experienced!

this is how dark matter swordsman...well, turns into a swordsman; and how miracle matter harnesses multiple copy abilities; and how dark matter swordsman's clone harnesses the power of the rainbow sword without the real deal.

i love all of the puzzles that require you to think outside the box and use your character's abilities to the fullest...

...but i can imagine without any guides to help those puzzles could become frustrating quickly if you don't get it. i think the most jackass puzzle in the franchise is the pick heart-star level in dream land 3.

in no manuals anywhere does it say you can climb up walls with rick, yet in pick's heart star level you have you complete the entire level with rick, utilising his wall-climb ability by making several precise inputs to avoid hitting gordos as you jump from wall-to-wall.

i can imagine a 90s kid getting frustrated at not being able to get the pick heart-star because, even if they were to know that they needed to bring rick to the end of the level they probably wouldn't know beforehand that rick had a wall-climb move, nor would they probably be able to pull off the precise inputs required to safely escort rick the end.
