There is more to the gaze he graces you with than the people around you dare to see.

You are his weak spot; among all the people who try to hunt him and yourself down, you are the one mafia!Kyungsoo trusts with no regret. You became what he enjoys to see at work every day, no matter how tough it sometimes gets. Simply tired or covered in blood and sweat, he feels a quiet relief whenever he spots your face in the crowd of the organization’s workers waiting for him and others at the HQ. It means that everything is okay, that you’re both still alive, that nobody took you away from him yet, even though it’s him who is in more danger as the days pass by.

Others see just regular people in love – nothing out of ordinary, really, almost everyone has gone through this in their lives.

But to Kyungsoo, it’s like his whole existence orbits around you, the center of his being, the sun of his universe.

You’re in wonder, truly, how much he cherishes you, how much he could worship you, give away all of himself just for you.

It’s almost as painful to you when the day comes and your hand holds the blade of a small knife in his chest, watching the life slowly slip out of him, with every second that brings him closer and closer to the inevitable.

But there is no sense of revelation, of dread or hate in him. No sense of betrayal, of having his life torn away by the one he loves the most.

There is only calm, silent acceptance.

You might have only pretended to love him, but it makes you realize that no one will ever love you as much as he truly did.
