As a thank you to 10k followers .. Keep the link at: www.fb.com/deejaytheory I used to make some crazy mixtapes back in the day .. Known as (the original) DJ Theory I spent countless hours cutting and mixing records in my parents basement in Western Massachusetts all throughout high school .. During that time a few classic CD's were dropped, slanged at hip hop parties and events throughout the Northeast .. A few were sold at record stores and online, and of course graced the halls of MySpace. It was an era I was spending a good deal of time in Brooklyn and was equally inspired by the West Coast, especially the Bay Area where I'm now humbled to call home. As we proceed 10 years later I decided to re-up some of these mixes to give the folks a listen to where it all began "Classics & Customs" was recorded during one full year in 2004 using strictly vinyl, two 1200's, a Rane 56, Kaoss Pad, and Roland VS 1880 digital multitracker If you're a lover of classic hip hop, drum breaks, reggae, soul, excessive scratching, vinyl noise, juggles and nonstop cutting and blending, this one is for you ..
