10000% 😌 my hc is that they started using corny nicknames for each other as a joke, until it became not-a-joke anymore and they start unironically calling each other that, lmao

my personal favorite is jean calling pieck "pieckachu" (which is also her name on his phone), and pieck calling jean "jean-jean" whenever she's in a playful or teasy mood (no one else is allowed to call him that but her 😌)
