Audio List part 2

Kill noise:

Now I have looked into a kill noise which I want to be a scream. Again I got a creative commons sound from the freesound website.

This is a good noise but I don’t like the static sound at the end. To change this I am going to put it into adobe audition and cut it out. First I need to put the file into audition.

Here Is the clip in audition. Now it is quite easy to cut the clip. First we need to find where we want to cut from.Once listening to it in audition thought I couldn't hear the static noise at the end so im going to put it into unreal and see what it sounds like.

Once it was put into unreal It sounded fine. Now as the noise will only be played once per level I am not going to be adding a sound cue to it. Now just to test it I am going to add the death noise to after the sword slice sound. In the future hopefully it will be attacked to the AI and linked with the death animation.

I have used the location to be the same as the player location as the player will be killing the person in close range meaning that it can be done on the player location.

Background Music:

Now I am looking into adding some background music into my game. Because my game is only 30 second rounds the background music doesn't need to be long. If we find out it need to be longer in the future we can loop it.Here I have found some Asian background music which has a creative commons license on it.

First we need to download the music file.

Once we have it downloaded because it is an MP3 file I need to make it a WAV file so it can be used inside on unreal.To do this I am going to take the file and put it through a converter.

Once we have this we can then put this into our game.To put this in I am going to make it so when we begin the game it will play the music on the location of the character. This is how I set it up.

The way it works is that when the game starts it will play the sound which I have set to be the background music. It then gets the location of the player character so that it follows the character. We could also of used a play sound 2D. for this. Once this is set up this is how it sounds.
