The lights were blaring. The beeping was loud to his ears. He doesn't remember what happened at the cliff...

The oversized DJ groaned in pain as he started to wake up. His vision was blurry but he could make out the shape of a heart rate monitor and an IV drip. He heard distant voices talking about him. He could make out his Nori's voice. His beloved Nori was alive.

The door creaked open and in came the doctor and Nori. The smaller octoling ran up to the bed and tightly hugs the oversized Octarian. The doctor, a colossal, aged Inkling that seems to be around the DJ's age, stared at the two Octolings. It clears their throat and spoke in a raspy voice.

"Shōgun sir..."

"Please just call me Octavio."

"My apologies. You should be lucky that you are still alive. Your significant other found you on the jagged rocks at the base of the cliff."

The DJ froze at the news. He didn't crash into the water? No wonder his chest hurt. He beckons the Inkling to come closer and it did. This Inkling reminds the Shōgun of Cuttlefish. He doesn't know if Cuttlefish is still quote on quote alive. It saddens him to think his arch nemesis is gone.

"What is your name?"

"Otsego, sir. Why did you ask?"

"Gyeh... no reason. I just want to thank you for saving my life."

The Shōgun leans back onto the soft bed, groaning in pain. He felt the sedatives kicking in. They were supposed to help with the nerve damage in his left arm. He doesn't mind. He pulled Nori onto him with great difficulty and wrapped his only arm around them. He gave Nori a peck on the cheek before taking a well deserved rest.

LONG LIVE THE OCTARIAN KING

It was on a cliff, a crumbling cliff, water lapping at the base of it. The smoking and semi destroyed reanimate AI standing on the edge of the cliff. It bellowed and screamed at the two agents, an Inkling and Octoling. Wasatavi wasn't there to stop the AI from attacking but it didn't.

THUD!

The oversized DJ jumped down from his slightly destroyed mech. He wore the badges of the reflection of his arch nemesis to remember him if he were to fade away. The Octarian didn't look too good. He was tired, exhausted even! He lost his older daughter. He lost most of his FAMILY. The only member of his family that he was glad its gone is his father. He paid the price of losing Takeshi by being semi infected by the ooze.

He squinted at the machine. A low and deep growl escapes his throat. He wants revenge..

"Maaachine.. you took everything from me... MY CHILDREN, MY BROTHER, MY ARCH NEMESIS..! my mother as well.. I will deliver the final blow on YOU.. Just you wait."

His deep, grumbly voice growled at the AI. He took a step forward before CHARGING at the machine, slamming into it. Causing the both of them to fall off the cliff. The reflection of Craig rushes towards the edge of the cliff, looking down to see if something bad happened to the oversized Octarian.

A heavy splash was heard. The machine sank to the bottom of the ocean. Pained grunts came from the cliff face. The Shōgun was hanging on with his only functioning arm. Just barely. He was slipping down. He can handle staying in the salty sea but if he falls, he will evaporate into mist. His claws ached. He struggled to pull himself up but he slipped further down. Tears started forming in his eyes. If he falls here, no one will run the army. He has to get himself out of this situation.

The cliff started crumbling as the DJ tries to climb up it. He was getting lightheaded. He was losing blood circulation in his functioning arm. He was slipping further and further down the cliff face. Guess this is his fate huh? To die a pitiful death.. of drowning, of slamming into the surface of the ocean. All he has to do is...

Let go.
