Next Birmingham show. First time playing The Firehouse. One of our favorite places to see shows. #diybirmingham

This is coming up in a little over a month at the Forge in Birmingham. Awesome, diverse lineup. Reblog and tell a friend.

OCTOBER TOP 5's
HAYLEY
1. The Memories, Colleen Green, & White Fang @ The Spring Street Firehouse - I can't stop listening to the Memories right now and I always have Colleen Green on rotation. I'm so stoked Birmingham is a stop on the Burgerama Tour. Oh yeah, and there will be tacos!
2. Scare Your Face Off Fest @ Bottletree - In its 4th year, this cover fest has become a favorite Birmingham tradition. This year's lineup includes Jesus & Mary Chain, Joy Division, Weezer, Bad Religion, Darkthrone, & Hank Williams Sr. Come in costume and get $2 off the door.
3. Civil Rights Leaders Then & Now @  The Gallery in Bloch Hall - This exhibit will have historic 1960's Civil Rights photographs by Spider Martin and contemporary photographs of the movements leaders by Jonathan Purvis. This will be up until the 24th of October, so go check it out. It will be really special.
4. Jacuzzi Boys, Holy Youth, & Peelander Z @ Bottletree - Miami's Jacuzzi Boys are a current favorite of mine. Catchy, poppy rock & roll, and their new album is groovy. I'm always loving Montevallo's Holy Youth and Peelander Z is described as "Japanese Action Comic Punk. " You might not want to miss this.
5. Diarrhea Planet & The So So Glos @ Bottletree - I haven't seen Brooklyn's So So Glos since I booked a fest with them at Green Cup Books years ago but they are such a good band to see live. Diarrhea Planet definitely doesn't disappoint either - 6 hunks from Nashville playing fun, earnest rock n' roll.
