one thing i feel is that andor as a show has a complex line between having a HELL of a lot of white characters for a show about a latino man’s personal rebellion, in fact, arguably too many, and also, absolutely refutes the white saviour trope over and over again with most of them

#luthen maarva mon... none of them are the good white savoiur. none of them. the show i think absolutely pulls this trope out #in ep 3 with luthen as the Guy Here to Save Cassian #and then whomp! in episode 4 he's absolutely an artifacts smuggler trading out the cultural objects and art #of colonised people in order to make moolah for the rebellion. but knowing that art is jsut gonan be some empire lackey's snuffbox #ditto with idk about maarva but i do think she's presented with greater mess than fandom percieves #and then there's mon. mon. mon. snaps at her housekeeper buys that smuggled artifact in opening scene MON
