Out today on all platforms. 📷me. Phewa Lake, Pokhara, Nepal. I stood here thinking "what if Biggie was was from here?" and then took the shot. The Lake was peaceful and there's a temple a little further down. I miss this view and my stay @templetreepokhara the idea for Distant Wavves was to pick images that made me feel at peace and then compose instrumentals to them. 11.20.20/20. Distant Wavves. The Rona has had me going through photos of bodies of water. I love the sea. I'm most peaceful near water/in water. I miss traveling and have been fiendin' to dip out of this country for sunnier shores and clear water. I took inspiration from photos I've taken over the years in different space throughout the globe and created 12 instrumental pieces to accompany those images, imaginings of being back in those spaces. My brother @substantialmusic served as A&R/EP/Ear providing both candor and encouragement. The homie @sainteezekiel provides tasteful riffs on the song Wavves. My family provided the agency to complete these works in granting me space/time when creating or kirking out. I appreciate all of the aforementioned not only for what they have given but for being willing participants in the creation of art in this time. This is dedicated to Bean (I miss you slim).
