Take wing with these dragon-inspired reading recommendations!
A Language of Dragons by S.F. Williamson
London, 1923. Dragons soar through the skies and protests erupt on the streets, but Vivian isn’t worried. She’s going to follow the rules, study dragon languages, and protect her little sister. By midnight, however, Viv has started a civil war. So when a lifeline is offered in the form of a mysterious ‘job’, she grabs it. Arriving at Bletchley Park, Viv discovers that she has been recruited as a codebreaker helping the war effort.
I'm Afraid You've Got Dragons by Peter S. Beagle
Dragons are common in the backwater kingdom of Bellemontagne. Gaius Aurelius Constantine Heliogabalus Thrax (who would much rather people call him Robert) has recently inherited his deceased father's job as a dragon exterminator, a career he detests with all his heart. Things turn from bad to worse when Robert is hired by the royal family to disinfest the entire castle.
When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill
Alex Green is a young girl in a world much like ours, except for its most seminal event: the Mass Dragoning of 1955, when hundreds of thousands of ordinary wives and mothers sprouted wings, scales, and talons; left a trail of fiery destruction in their path; and took to the skies. Was it their choice? Why did Alex’s beloved aunt Marla transform but her mother did not? Alex must face the consequences of this astonishing event.
The Rage of Dragons by Evan Winter
The Omehi people have been fighting an unwinnable fight for almost 200 years. Their society has been built around war and only war. The lucky ones are born gifted. One in every 2,000 women has the power to call down dragons, while one in every 100 men is able to transform himself into a stronger killing machine. Everyone else is fodder, destined to fight and die. Young, gift-less Tau knows all this, but when those closest to him are brutally murdered, he dedicates himself to an unthinkable path, fixated on revenge.
This is the first volume of the "Burning" series.

Sorry I’m still thinking about that one vague post I made about post fight make outs and I’m currently thinking too much about Togame and I just…
I’m imagining it’s after fighting some dickhead and his little lame group because you wouldn’t give them any of your time. Just trying to get to your boyfriend before your boyfriend gets to them so you could avoid the drama of a fight on your date.
But clearly that doesn’t happen and now you’re back at your place seated on his. You really should be treating his wounds, because as strong as he is, a 4 on 1 fight isn’t easy when they fight dirty and use items around them as weapons.
You were just trying to disinfest a cut on his lip, but something in his brain just flips when you’re sat on his lap. Now you’re shuddering at the groan that leaves him as your tongue instinctively drags over his cut lower lip when he tries pulling away from the kiss he initiated.
You look at him for a moment, assessing his bruised up face and contemplating your next actions. Dragged it out for as long as he could stand before he makes the decision for you and drags you closer by your hips, mumbling about not wasting his time with pretending that you weren’t going to give in.
You giggle at him, earning a little spank and a set of teeth in your neck, giving you a wound of your own to deal with later

Mold and mildew growth in your washing machine can cause foul odors, dirty clothes, and even health issues. If not treated, they can also impact the functioning of your washer, necessitating professional assistance from a washing machine service center in Kozhikode. Here's how to maintain your washing machine mold-free.
Leave the Door Open After Washing
Trapped moisture within the drum provides the ideal conditions for mold to develop. Leave the door slightly ajar after every wash to provide proper ventilation and drying.

Clean the Rubber Gasket Frequently
Front-load washers come equipped with a rubber gasket that holds water, detergent residue, and lint, providing an ideal location for mold. Clean it with a cloth and a solution of vinegar and water at least weekly.
Utilize the Appropriate Quantity of Detergent
Too much detergent forms deposits within the hoses and drum, giving rise to mildew breeding grounds. Make sure to utilize the suggested amount and utilize high-efficiency detergent.
Clean Every Month
For clearing mold deposits, perform an empty hot water cycle with a mixture of baking soda and vinegar every month. It disinfests the drum as well as drives away bad smell.
Take Off Wet Clothes Right Away
Drying clothes in the washer for too long promotes mold buildup. Always take the laundry out of the washer and into the dryer or drying rack as soon as the cycle is complete.
Wash the Detergent Dispenser and Filter
Soap residue and lint may build up in the dispenser and drain filter. Take off and wash these components every several weeks to inhibit mold growth.

E in effetti non è vero. Sarebbe come se la Derry dei romanzi di Stephen King avesse consegnato le chiavi della città a Pennywise, evocando così ufficialmente il terrificante genius loci che dimora nel sottosuolo

Movie Review | Escape From The Bronx (Castellari, 1983)

If the politics in the last one were somewhat implicit, they are definitely more overt here. In the last one, the Bronx had been cordoned off and allowed to collapse into a crumbling, crime-infested hellhole. In this one, the powers that be have set their sights on the borough for redevelopment, and are enacting a policy of gentrification by force. Those who don’t leave voluntarily are flushed out by death squads executing a program of “disinfestation”, or in the less charitable phrasing used by another character, “genocide”. (But lest you think an entirely palatable political read can be applied to this, I should remind you that the protagonists over again sport some very questionable insignia.)
The death squads are dressed in aluminum uniforms, looking like fascists descended from space, and their weapon of choice is the flamethrower, which we see used over and over again in graphic detail. The violence isn’t quite as bloody as the last movie, but there’s a lot more of it, with the heroes more or less constantly on the run, punctuated by a steady stream of gunfire and explosions as they weave in and out of the ruins of the Bronx.
I don’t think the locales are captured as arrestingly as in the previous movie, but what we do see is effectively cramped and crumbling. And while certain cast members are missed, I think Mark Gregory gives a more assured performance this time around, and we also get a devious and steely Henry Silva as the head of the death squads. So this is the more consistently entertaining film of the two, although for maximum enjoyment I’d recommend a double feature.
