Management Responsibilities?

Today I learned about the college definition of “What a managers responsibilities are”?

Sometimes depending on the business the manager may have to be all of these things OR there’s multiple managers who are set with specified task from this list. What’s your opinion?

Is there anything that’s missing from those of you with experience?

I’d love to hear what you have to say.

1.) Strategic planning and development 2.) Evaluate ➡️ Take corrective necessary BUT PROFESSIONAL action 3.)Notice changes in the business environment. 4.) OVERSEE 5.) Coordinate 6.)Direct contact with both customers and POTENTIAL customers. 7.)Contact must be maintained AND nurtured with representatives and various constituencies outside the company, including state and federal agencies. 8.) Solve internal problems/organize change and development 9.) Planning, scheduling, monitoring.

Great #fantasy #landscape #illustration by @dustybrockway of a tiered waterfall, cascading down a series of forested floating isles. Where is the source of the mystical water? And where does it go? I believe these questions are best left for discussions over drinks with good friends and ice-breaking topica with new acquaintances. Love that framing of the drawing, with the masses of island favoring the right side of the sketch and the disappearing waterfall flowing down the center of the frame. It creates a more interesting scene. Love those trees, too... especially the lone tree flying on its own little island. Employee To Be Or Not To Be?

Hypotheticals: You find yourself having lack of motivation to show up to work. Maybe you're snoozing that alarm a few too many times.? Maybe your kids kept you up all night? Perhaps, a life event happened and you're struggling to be that golden employee you always have been? Your boss begins to notice your repetitive tardiness. They call you into the office after your shift and you know "the talk" is coming. Having this job means a lot to you and you don't want to lose it. In fact you cant afford to lose it and rather love this job. Life is just being life. From an employees perspective, how would you hope this talk would go with your boss?
