btw regarding the discord thing: there are also other issues coming up with how people already try to monopolize usersnames they don’t intend for financial gain (see: kinnies on tumblr selling urls for upwards of 200 usd) which may result in an excess of throwaway accounts to hoard these usernames. additionally, without the number discriminator, there is also the issue of random people being able to identify & add you -- which, sure! you can change security so no one can send you frqs unless you share a server, but would you really turn that off every time an irl asks for your discord to contact you? or you may need to change your username... but quite honestly you shouldn’t have to change your username just to avoid harassment or unknown people suddenly contacting you. it’s ridiculous.

#jestersvaguely #there's also more to say about the caps being entirely a nonissue as long as you keep the number discriminators when people are searching #for a particular person (there should be no way that someone has the exact same number denominator as someone else w differing caps)#but... blehhh... no energy to delve all into that.#basically. be constructive in your reports. talk about what they haven't yet realized. don't just complain ''because it's new''#or else they won't listen...! they may not listen anyhow #but still.

the anons on MXRP are getting worse. in the main group chat i frequent over the past few days they have:

- spam requested username exchanges to multiple members of the chat

- when asked why been annoyingly cryptic

- attempted to impersonate a mod

- set up a message in a way that tricked you into thinking it was a message request and clicking either confirm nor deny would send you to their pm

- have gotten ahold of my discord

- are using sasori usersnames to try and get me baited specifically??? which is fucking weird dude i’m not stupid

Multiple chats have been having this problem and most of them, including the one I frequent, are on autosilence now. We ban them, but every time they come back. We had a real site staff come into the chat last night and took care of one from then, but they’re still coming back. we have no idea what these anons want or why they’re doing this

@ sus anon: In the case of truly inaccessible dA account, uh, it's pretty easy to verify on discord that you indeed own both accounts. It's unlikely you'd get your dA and discord account both deactivated at the same time. Past that, a lot of people don't want to transfer from completely dead accounts, but to move to different accounts for sake of ARPG organization, new usersnames without core, parents or exes knowing their old usernames, etc.
