Today was a big day. After years of working shit hotel jobs, being abused by guests and managers alike, forced to clean up mess after mess (both literally and figuratively) left by coworkers - he’s finally done it. Eric has escaped the clutches of the hospitality industry! @strangeouterspace has landed a full-time graphic design job for a Fortune 50 company near our home. You all probably know this by now since it’s literally all I have talked about for two weeks. This is HUGE for Eric and I am so proud of him. This was the missing piece from our fully realized “adult life” and goddamn we deserve it. Constantly being told you must “pay your dues” gets frustrating, and today, I think we can say our dues have been paid in full. Today feels like a “first day of the rest of our lives” kinda day and I couldn’t be more excited about the direction our lives are headed. This is why he isn’t my boyfriend - he’s my partner.
