Sometimes I feel that as human we have become too insensitive for people around us and at the same time have become too rational for right and wrong. In Delhi metro, the Lady was standing in rush, no one to support and hold. I looked around for a seat for her, couldn't find. ( Well I was standing too ). Found no faces, who could be asked to give his/ her seat to lady. Seat in front of me was ladies seat and a man with plaster on right feet was sleeping on it. I thought to request him to give the seat to lady, but the lady asked me not to. 2 stations passed, a girl boarded the train, scanned the coach and got focused on the same man. Approached him and abruptly asked him, ""hello, ये लेडीज सीट है, उठो। (hay, it's ladies seat, get up.)." Man pointed to his injured feet, but she refused to comply by saying - तो विक्लांगों की सीट पर बैठो ना। ( go sit on seat for physically challenged). We fellow passengers tried to intervain, but she was not listening at all. Finally a gentleman left his seat to let the injured man seat and girl grabbed the seat. Till the time, I was patience, but then I took a decision and asked the girl, Miss. आपको नहीं लगता कि इस सीट की जरुरत इन अम्मा को आप से ज्यादा है। (don't you think, this seat is being needed by this Old lady more than you. ) Her answer was, find a senior citizen seat for her, and like I was waiting for this answer, I replied, she is a women too, and probably not as healthy as you are. Fellow passengers including ladies around were with me. Finally lady got the seat, at the same time few passengers left their seat to denboard and all got seats. All happened in just 10 mins. But I ask, was it all necessary?
