UNVEIL THE CORE ESSENCE OF YOUR BEING, PERSONALITY, AND PURPOSE WITH TAROT CARDS
Introduction:
We understand all Tarot cards as symbols. They essentially represent different aspects of our lives that reside in our souls and our subconscious minds. When we read Tarot cards, we are reading our energy, we are intuitively looking at our subconscious. We think of them as a mirror that reflects the multiple dimensions of our spirit to help us understand situations much better, and make our life more conscious and meaningful.
What are Tarot birth cards?
Tarot birth cards are symbols that shape our identity and lives from the moment we are born. They are our essence, an energy imprint, or even a map - like a birth chart but for Tarot cards- that can unlock a new understanding of ourselves, and all the potential of our life purpose.
Each of us has a pair of Major Arcana cards that represent our core self, so today I decided to explain all combinations. I explained the cards separately so you can combine them and see intuitively how they play out in your life.
Also, be noted that I only explain the "light" manifestation of each of them. So for example, if it says "selfless" the shadow aspect/backward expression of them is the opposite, "selfish". Or if it says "truth-seeker" its shadow would be "know-it-all". If you are curious about the shadow aspect of your birth cards or anything about them you can send me a question and I'll be happy to help.
Hey, don't forget to check out the awesome video link at the end of the post! It's worth watching if you want to dive deeper into the topic. Have a great time exploring!
Now let´s calculate yours!
and hope you enjoy it *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
How do I calculate mine?
The easiest way for me is to use the same method that we use to calculate our Life path number in numerology:
We add each digit of our birth date
m+m+d+d+y+y+y+y
Example: 11/22/1989
1+1+2+2+1+9+8+9= 33
2. We reduce it
3+3= 6
6 is The Lovers and The Devil (6 and 15).
As you can see, we got a pair of numbers that corresponds to a pair of Major Arcana cards.
important: IF YOU GET A 19, YOU HAVE TO REDUCE IT TWICE AND YOU´LL GET 3 MAJOR ARCANA: 19 (The Sun) -> 1+9=10 (The Wheel of Fortune) -> 1+0=1 (The Magician).
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

1 and 10: The Magician, The Wheel of Fortune
The Magician: This energy has the ability to manifest anything. Your essence is skilled, cunning, tricky, scheming. You posses autonomy and initiative. You are an independent thinker. You have a great potential, but you also put in the work and have a lot of fun in the process. You are diplomatic and you reject bias. Entrepreneur. Self-motivated. You are honest and direct.
The Wheel of Fortune: You are lucky or at least, you know how to feel lucky to attract blessings. You understand the cycles of life and therefore you have the ability to co-create with the Universe intelligently. You often get surprised by the events in your life. You know how to use opportunities in your favor. Manifesting is something that you probably did consciously since young.

19: The Sun (ALSO READ 1 AND 10)!
Adding to 1 and 10 cards, The Sun supplies your soul of creativity, popularity, happiness, honesty, harmony and serenity. You are a good friend. You are loyal and bring harmony, love and satisfaction to everyone´s lives. You are a leader, a celebrity, and people look up to you.

2 and 11: The High Priestess, Justice
The High Priestess: You are sensitive and wise. You are aware of the subtle, small details. You are able to find the point of unity, the basics of the Universe, and you understand how everything is connected. You are intuitive, compassionate, and loving. You excel at anything related to the occult, the mysteries of the Universe and human psyche, and anything related to relationships, unions, and secrets.
Justice: You are unbiased, rational, harmonious. You know what´s right and what´s wrong and trust in natural order and the balance of things. You value truth more than anyone else. You are good with law, philosophy, and karma.

2 and 20: The High Priestess, Judgment
Same qualities above for the High Priestess, combined with Judgment.
Judgment: The Judgment card adds in to the HP themes of awakening, spirituality, renovation. You may be someone who questions the status quo and the established norms and structures. You have the calling to awaken other people so you can rebuild and improve the system. You could connect to different dimensions and be a medium or have psychic abilities. You are otherworldly. You are also highly empathetic and sensitive.

3 and 12: The Empress, The Hanged Man
The Empress: You enjoy helping other people, creating, and giving birth to something. You embody kindness, intelligence, expressiveness, communication and abundance. You are dynamic and could be good at doing many things, you likely do all at the same time. You are good at communicating your ideas with others and you give others creative insights.
The Hanged Man: You are artistic, original, altruistic and idealistic. You see the world from a different perspective and you always contribute with clever ideas. You are witty and have the potential to become a genius. You are generous.

3 and 21: The Empress, The World
Here the qualities of the Empress are combined with those of The World card, so your creativity results in perfection, success, wholeness, finding your place in the world, feeling and being rewarded, self-realization. You are someone generous who help people with their creations and you make them realize their special place in the world as well. You are greatly admired. You are positive about people and life.

4 and 13 : The Emperor, Death
The Emperor: You are gifted with stability, strength, structure and practicality. You are powerful, hard-working and generous. You have integrity and good morals. You protect what needs protection and give structure and functionality to things. You are methodical and pragmatic.
Death: Death combined with the Emperor can reestructure and make radical changes to the world. You know when things need to die and be rebirthed in new forms. You can transform the world with authority, integrity and diligency.
In case you got 4 and 22, The 22 can be considered The Fool. You can either consider the Fool along with The Emperor and Death, or only read the explanation above and dismiss it. If you choose to consider the Fool, read below:
The Fool: I picture it as if you were the Emperor but with a good sense of humor, carefree, crazy, not making sense at times, chaotic, and extravagant. It makes me think of "dad jokes". You do not take anything too seriously. You restructured things spontaneously and the result may not make a lot of sense. Or it could be that you make more of a freedom-oriented restructure/change. You are an innocent and energetic leader. Maybe you don´t even understand why people may see you as a leader or follow you, because you don´t even take yourself seriously and are very disorganized, lol.
(edit): When I was writing about this combo, the new president of Argentina Javier Milei came to my mind. He talks about re-structuring the country, making economic transformations, solving the problems of the economy and poverty, and changing the country for the better. But he also has a silly personality, he's kinda funny and people make fun of him, they call him crazy, they even speculate about him having mental illnesses, and he doesn't make sense to A LOT of people. At that time I was lazy to search for his number but I just did and you know what? He is a 4 and a 22. 😳

5 and 14: The Hierophant, Temperance
The Hierophant: You are a teacher, someone wise who shares their knowledge and wisdom. You are patient, merciful, and modest. You guide others to goodness. You respect religion, tradition and family structures with open-mindedness and flexibility. You see everything as an experience and adventure and you like exploring different philosophies without getting attached.
Temperance: You can adapt to different people, ideas and environments, and you can bring different people together with peace, harmony and respect. You have the ability to solve conflicts. This combo makes a mentor, a guru, or a coach. You are balanced in logic and emotions and you are seen as mature.

6 and 15 (or 33): The Lovers, The Devil
The Lovers: Opposite forces, love, complements. You know how to love, not only other people but the whole Universe. You are a sensual person. You appreciate beauty, art and can excel at many different things. You are a gentle person who is good at making decisions that brings in the frequency of love to your environment. Everything you do is coded with love and passion.
The Devil: You are passionate, magnetic. You border limits. You are highly influential in whatever you do. You can control and manipulate others, which is not necessarily a bad thing, it´s just that you understand human psychology and can easily get the attention of others. With this combo you can captivate, tempt and induce lust and desire in others, so you may be working in art, music, writing, marketing, design, even animation and programming.
I also like to think of The Lovers as oxytocin and The Devil as adrenaline/dopamine. Dopamine and oxytocin together make love and bring new life into the world.

7 and 16: The Chariot, The Tower
The Chariot: You are someone intelligent, energetic, analytic, and introspective, who fights for radical changes and the evolution of society. You are a truth-seeker. You are fearless. You challenge the status quo and strive for spiritual and material progress. You are curious and love to learn new things that can change the world for the better.
The Tower: You mercilessly and strongly destruct what doesn´t serve the evolution of society and humanity. You break the equilibrum to build a better one. You are a rebel. You know that the truth always comes to light, and you also make it happen. You show the world what they couldn´t see and that's why you could be triggering. But it´s for the good. You challenge wrong convictions, judgments and beliefs, and you completely destruct them.

8 and 17: Strength, The Star
Strength: You are someone resilient. You know the importance of controlling your actions, impulses, thoughts, emotions and everything you do with mental strength and intelligence. You know that if you manage your own forces, you can achieve all of your goals and also help others do the same. You are very determined and optimistic. You like to work hard, not only for yourself but for others. You are an example of the word management and you like being in charge.
The Star: You give others hope and enlightment. You are inspiring. You can provide a lot of healing and regeneration. You are selfless and generous. You are strong in faith, and that way you can give others the reassurance that they need. You see the good in everything and that is what helps you get you good results and be succesful.

9 and 18: The Hermit, The Moon
The Hermit: You are interested in seeing what others can´t see. You look through things. You are deeply intuitive and contemplative. You search for answers in yourself by being in silence, in solitude, and looking inwards at your subconscious mind. You are wise, capable of offering advice and solving problems or mysteries. You are the healer who heals yourself first. You are personally uninterested in worldly matters and detached from the material.
The Moon: You can see through illusions and imagination because you connect to the dream realm. You are a good psychoanalyst. You are good with the occult. You are attracted to the unknown. You are a researcher, a detective, a healer of the most mysterious diseases. You are deeply spiritual and adventurous.
Carl Jung had this combo as his birth cards and I think this quote from him really represents it: Who looks outside dreams (The Moon), who looks inside awakes (The Hermit). The funny thing is, I didn´t know he had them when I read it and thought about the cards, but I was sure he had to be and I searched it, lol. I also have these as my cards so...

From Stranger to Safe: Why Maid Verification Is Non-Negotiable
Introduction
Hiring domestic help brings convenience to our daily lives. But with that comfort comes the critical responsibility of ensuring safety — for our families, homes, and peace of mind. Maid verification isn’t just a formality anymore; it’s a necessary shield against potential risks, including theft, impersonation, or worse, criminal activity.
In today’s world, verifying who enters your home is not an option—it’s a necessity. Whether you’re hiring a full-time maid, part-time help, or a live-in housekeeper, taking this step can mean the difference between feeling safe and being vulnerable.
What Is Maid Verification?
Maid verification refers to the process of validating the identity, background, and credentials of a domestic helper before they begin working in your household. It typically includes:
Identity confirmation
Document verification (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN)
Police verification
Address checks
Employment history review
Cross-checking with criminal databases
When done right, this process ensures you're not unknowingly allowing a potential risk into your home.
The Rising Need for Maid Verification
Urban households, especially in metro cities, increasingly depend on domestic help. With this growing demand comes a parallel rise in maid-related crimes — thefts, frauds, and even physical harm. In many cases, employers skip background verification, relying on word-of-mouth or local placement agencies without conducting proper checks.
A mistake here can be costly — emotionally, financially, and legally.
Real Risks of Not Verifying Your Maid
Criminal Record Oversight Skipping police verification could mean hiring someone with a criminal past. Crimes ranging from petty theft to serious offenses may remain hidden if the individual was never screened.
Fake Identity Documents It’s easy to forge documents today. Without a thorough document verification process, you might not even know the real name or address of your housekeeper.
Impersonation & Fraud In some cases, someone may pretend to be a trusted worker recommended by an agency or friend. Verifying the Aadhaar via an Aadhaar search report helps confirm authenticity.
No Legal Recourse In case of a dispute or crime, having verified details like police records, addresses, or employment history strengthens your ability to take legal action.
Key Components of Maid Verification
Let’s explore what a robust maid verification process should include:
1. Identity Check
Start by collecting original ID documents such as:
Aadhaar Card
Voter ID
PAN Card
These should be cross-verified using tools like an Aadhaar search report to confirm legitimacy.
2. Address Verification
A key step in servant verification is confirming the permanent and current address through utility bills or ration cards, and if possible, a physical visit.
3. Police Verification
This is one of the most important aspects. Submitting details at your local police station ensures the individual is not involved in any past criminal activities. Some cities now allow online police verification through digital platforms.
4. Employment History
Contact previous employers (if available). Ask about:
Duration of work
Job responsibilities
Behavior and integrity
Reason for leaving
5. Reference Checks
Even if the maid comes through a reputed agency, always ask for and cross-check personal references. Never skip this step during housekeeper verification.
6. Biometric and Photo Records
Keep a recent photo and fingerprints, if possible. Some cities and apps offer biometric ID kits for domestic workers. This helps in easy recognition if needed.
Maid Verification vs. Trust-Based Hiring
Many families still rely on recommendations from neighbors or relatives to hire domestic help. While references are helpful, they’re not a replacement for proper background verification.
Trust is earned, not assumed. A maid might seem polite and efficient during interviews, but without proper checks, you’re only guessing at their credibility.
Benefits of Maid Verification for Employers
Enhanced Safety Your home remains a safer space, especially when vulnerable family members (children, elderly) are around.
Peace of Mind You can relax knowing your domestic helper has a clean history and verifiable identity.
Protection Against Liability If a crime does occur, your due diligence can protect you from legal troubles and help law enforcement act swiftly.
Long-Term Trust When a maid knows you’ve verified their background, it sets a standard of professionalism and mutual respect.
Why Self-Verifying Isn't Always Enough
Many homeowners think collecting an ID copy or calling a reference is enough. But this DIY approach often skips critical steps like police verification or cross-checking against criminal records. Also, verifying a fake document is nearly impossible without the right tools.
For a comprehensive approach, it’s better to consult a trusted digital solution provider.
How Force Track Helps
When it comes to simplifying and securing maid verification, Force Track offers a reliable, digital-first solution. From generating Adhaar search report to submitting online police verification requests, it streamlines the entire process. Employers can also request document verification and track updates on their dashboard.
Although not a promotional plug, if you’re looking for a tech-enabled, thorough, and hassle-free maid verification system, Force Track is one option worth exploring.
Maid Verification for Gated Communities and RWAs
Residential societies can enforce mandatory servant verification policies. Creating a central database with verified maids and housekeepers can:
Reduce risks for all residents
Deter crimes and unauthorized entries
Allow better coordination with local law enforcement
If your society doesn’t already have this system, suggest implementing one with digital verification tools.
Legal Implications of Skipping Verification
Employing unverified domestic help can land you in legal trouble. In some jurisdictions, police departments make maid verification mandatory. If an unverified worker commits a crime, the employer can face penalties or be held partially liable for negligence.
So, in a court of law, documented verification efforts matter.
Quick Checklist for Maid Verification
Use this checklist to ensure you’ve covered all essential steps before hiring:

Conclusion
Opening your home to a stranger, no matter how kind they seem, comes with risks. Turning that stranger into a trusted ally starts with due diligence. Maid verification is not just about protecting valuables; it’s about safeguarding your loved ones, your home, and your peace of mind.
In today’s world, being cautious isn’t paranoia—it’s responsibility. Use tools, take help from reliable platforms like Force Track, and build your home on trust that's verified.

“Despite the federal government’s reluctance to build accommodation, [the Canadian government] aggressively pressured homeowners to make space available for tenants. By late 1942 the WPTB [Wartime Prices and Trade Board] had begun supplementing the resources of room registries in more than thirty communities with both advertising money and administrative support. As the year drew to a close, rumours were circulating that the WPTB might even impose compulsory billeting; in a much publicized comment, Finance Minister Ilsley, when asked about billeting, had cryptically replied, “Ownership of property is a responsibility as well as a privilege.” In several communities — including Windsor, Kingston, St. Catharines, and Ottawa — the WPTB arranged compulsory surveys by having homeowners send back information cards. Although many homeowners certainly lied about the space they had available, depending upon the size of the community, between 100 and 500 rooms were usually located. But owners were not compelled to rent them out, and the space available often lacked cooking or laundry facilities, or even indoor plumbing. Despite stepped-up efforts, the situation remained critical in many places. At the end of 1943, for instance, the ratio of people seeking housing to available places on Vancouver’s housing registry was 2,371 to 15, in Victoria 470 to 14, and in Ottawa 1,850 to 25. Between April and June 1944 the Toronto housing registry managed to locate 377 places, but only half of them would accept children, and 1,100 families with children were on the waiting list. That year registries in Halifax and Quebec City decided to stop advertising to locate space, realizing that further efforts would be futile.
WHILE SOME HOMEOWNERS WERE COMPLACENT about desperate conditions, others saw a golden opportunity to line their pockets. People who did not need to be in cities could sell their homes for huge profits. In Victoria a municipal government report noted examples such as a house that had been bought for $2,500 in 1941 fetching $5,000 in 1945 “with no alterations.” In Toronto, where housing stock was more plentiful, prices commonly increased by 50 percent over the first three war years. In Edmonton the influx of Americans pushed up home prices to as much as triple their 1939 values. Such prices reflected a combination of record demand and abnormally scant supply. Most homeowners worked in the city and feared they would be unable to find a replacement property if they sold. And after April 1942 gasoline and tire rationing made it problematic to move to cheaper housing outside the city. Real estate companies offered rewards for leads to listings, and prospective buyers advertised their willingness to immediately pay the full purchase price in cash for houses that met their specifications.
Column after column of classified ads in big city dailies testified to the public’s need for rental accommodation: “Reliable, childless couple,” “Well-behaved child,” “Naval officer, wife, baby, urgently require small apt.,” “Reward for information leading to an apartment.” To get the jump on available space, some wily people checked obituary columns or bribed undertakers; some went knocking on doors, no doubt thinking it would be harder for a homeowner to turn down a person face to face. Some went further: on a “cold and rainy” Ottawa night toward the end of 1943, the wife of a wounded veteran took to the streets with her four-month-old baby, carrying a sign pleading: “Who will rent a flat or rooms to Daddy and us?” The WPTB devoted considerable resources to preventing landlords from exploiting such situations. Fifty-one of its first sixty-four orders preceding the general price freeze of October 1941 concerned rents. Following on double-digit rent increases, rates were frozen in Halifax in January 1940, and in Kingston, Calgary, and Ottawa soon afterward. In each case, responding to requests from municipal officials, the WPTB established a rental board to set rates and adjudicate landlord- tenant disputes, an initiative that in these centres and several others also led to rental courts. By 30 September 1940 thirty more communities had joined the rent control list, and with the general freeze, rent control went nationwide.” Each area’s rates were to be set according to the average for the accommodation type in its neighbourhood as of 2 January 1940. Rooms let for the first time were to be registered with the WPTB, with a description of their amenities and proposed rent, to ensure that they met the rent control guidelines. Rent hikes were permitted only if a property faced substantially increased local taxation or if a landlord had made significant renovations. However, with material and labour shortages, local governments kept infrastructure projects to a bare minimum, a measure that often actually lowered municipal taxes. And to preserve resources, homeowners required a special permit from the WPTB to proceed with repairs worth more than $500.
Complaints from landlords soon poured in. Many claimed that rents had only begun to recover from their abnormally low Depression levels, and that with war work the salaries of tenants had risen at twice the rate of rents. Several landlords also pointed out that with space shortages more tenants were subletting parts of their premises to cover their own rent and passing on extra costs in increased utility bills and greater wear on the property. By referring to official statistics, the federal government insisted that rent control was a great success. Using the 1935-39 average as a base, it pointed out that while rates across the country rose by 11.3 percent over the first three years of the war, for the remainder of the conflict the increase was only 0.72 percent.” However, those statistics included areas that experienced significant out-migration and low demand for accommodation — and they reflected only recorded transactions. Many landlords stretched or ignored WPTB rules, feeling justified that their grievances were legitimate, and lured by the opportunity for significant and, perhaps as important, tax-free returns.
The WPTB was also besieged by complaints from tenants. Several trotted out the anti-Semitic Shylock analogy when it was known or thought that the landlord was Jewish. In its first year, Calgary’s rental court heard 500 cases, but another 500 waited in the queue.” During the war, more than 2,000 landlords, besides being compelled to lower what they charged, were fined for deliberately breaking rent control guidelines. As in other domains governed by the WPTB, this figure could have easily been far higher had Enforcement Branch personnel been more numerous and aggressive. It had been concluded that too harsh an approach could drive many landlords out of the rental business, thus exacerbating an already difficult situation. Even if found guilty of intentionally flouting the law, most first-time offenders faced a small fine, typically in the $50 range, an amount that for some was no deterrent.
Some tenants were hesitant to complain, as the low numbers of charges may also have testified. “Conscious of the shortage of shelter,’ a number “were more anxious to retain possession of the space they occupied than to argue the rate,” read a WPTB report. An intimidated elderly woman in Edmonton, for example, stopped taking public transit so that she could pay extra to a landlord who threatened to give her place to an American. The reluctance of some tenants to complain also related to the fact that most rental investigators were former real estate agents who needed work after the collapse of home sales. The WPTB considered these men ideal for the job because of their knowledge of the residential market, but tenants often distrusted them, believing that they would naturally side with property owners. Moreover, though the WPTB promised it would protect tenants from reprisals if they brought forward their grievances, many were unwilling to take the chance. Indeed, authorities sometimes appeared not to keep their word. In one such case an Edmonton tenant whose monthly rent had been lowered by the rental court from $35 to $32 soon complained about his landlord’s mistreatment. Unable to obtain satisfaction from the WPTB, he turned to the mayor in desperation. Ever since the court victory, he wrote, the landlord had made his family’s life unbearable:
Use of the washing machine which was part of the agreement was stopped by not supplying sufficient hot water facilities ... Having his children stand in hallways shouting insulting remarks is another trick. But the dirtiest trick of all is going to the City Police complaining of unbearable noises made by us when none exist ... Now he has made application to the Rental Authorities to have us evicted.
Many tenants endured scandalously high rents. In Halifax in late 1940 the press reported on the plight of a woman who paid $60 a month for a one-bedroom apartment with an untiled bathroom and a windowless kitchenette.” The next year, in Vancouver, where rent guidelines classified a two-storey, seven-room home near the major shipyards and in “good repair” at $44 per month, single rooms in the area fetched as much as $60, and small houses $90. In Edmonton, one man arriving from the countryside to take a job at Aircraft Repair Limited angrily wrote to the city commissioner, “I looked over a small house on Saturday last. I could have it but the landlord stated frankly: ‘I am raising the rent $5.00 and have lots of people who are willing to pay: ” Soon, knowing that they could extort higher prices from Americans, some Edmonton homeowners simply refused to rent to Canadians. “I blush deeply for my fellow Canadians,” wrote an embarrassed resident to the Edmonton Journal. “Because of [their] unashamed greed many Americans will return home with empty purses [and] bitter tales of crawling in and out of dark, hastily converted attic and basement quarters rented to them for prices that would secure an elegant apartment in the best district of their own war-congested home city.”
To maximize profits, some homeowners divided their premises into minuscule living quarters. One Ottawa woman remembered her grandmother, the widow of a prominent doctor who lived in a 4,500-square-foot home, making a “fortune” during the war by renting out the attic, four rooms on the second floor, the main floor sunroom, dining, and living rooms, and the basement, leaving herself with just the parlour. In the vicinity of war plants that operated around the clock, some rooms were rented out on a twelve-hour basis. In Montreal, one gouging landlord collected $113 a month for a small flat shared by four women who alternated between day and night shifts. It was not uncommon to charge key money of a month’s rent to new tenants. Sometimes tenants were compelled to purchase old furniture at grossly inflated prices. La Presse reported in 1944, for instance, that a seven-room house in Montreal was rented for $30 monthly in accordance with WPTB guidelines — but with well-worn furniture thrust upon the tenant for sev- eral hundred dollars. Writing soon after the war about a situation that continued for some time, a disgusted B.K. Sandwell, a columnist with Saturday Night, contended that “there seems to be very little doubt that some illicit consideration ... is given in connection with about half of the new leases.” This, he claimed, spoke to a moral breakdown among both landlords and tenants, because it was “extremely difficult ... to retain scruples to get any kind of accommodation.”
The Federal Government did step up legislative efforts to control the rental market more effectively. In October 1942 it introduced Order 204. In an overture to landlords, the law permitted them to charge twice the total cost of local property taxes and utilities on a rental unit. It was claimed that this level would guarantee a fair return; however, it actually justified few rent increases. To provide greater security to tenants, Order 204 doubled to six months the required notice to vacate for those who had lived in a place more than three months, prohibited winter evictions (between 30 September and 30 April), and stipulated that the sale of a property did not change these rights. It also outlawed key money, forced purchases of furniture, and any other form of tribute to obtain accommodation. Landlords reacted bitterly: Order 204, they said, was an attack upon property rights certain to deter homeowners from renting space. Yet the legislation also left many tenants disappointed. They feared that provisions to evict the badly behaved could be abused with trumped-up charges. Even good tenants could be evicted with three months’ notice in the event that their space was required to house an immediate family member, another loophole that could be used in a fraudulent manner. Moreover, as one angry Montrealer wrote to Donald Gordon, all Order 204 did for tenants was shift the crisis day to 1 May. Indeed, in mid-1943, rallied by the demand for an indefinite freeze on rental agreements, a Montreal tenants’ association representing seven badly overcrowded districts was formed, and by December it claimed nearly 2,000 members. Newspapers gave it considerable coverage, especially as 1 May 1944 approached, for with 1,300 eviction notices pending, as many as 5,000 extra homeless people were predicted in Montreal. Sit-down strikes to protect tenant association members facing eviction were mentioned. However, the anticipated crisis did not materialize, because most renters managed to secure alternative accommodation, though emergency shelters strained to cope with the additional demand. Still, many worried about the potential for trouble — even violence — and not only in Montreal. Toronto and Vancouver tenants also formed new associations in 1944, and in Vancouver, the Daily Province reported, talk circulated about establishing “human barricades” outside homes where tenants faced eviction.”

EPDS Bihar: A Comprehensive Guide to the Electronic Public Distribution System in Bihar

The Electronic Public Distribution System (EPDS) in Bihar has emerged as a crucial initiative aimed at transforming the food distribution network in the state. This system is designed to ensure that essential commodities such as rice, wheat, and kerosene are provided to eligible beneficiaries under various welfare schemes. The integration of technology in the distribution system has helped streamline the process, making it more transparent and efficient. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the EPDS Bihar portal, its features, benefits, and how citizens can access it.
What is EPDS Bihar?
EPDS Bihar stands for the Electronic Public Distribution System in Bihar. It is an online platform that aims to digitize the entire Public Distribution System (PDS) in the state. EPDS is a government initiative under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), which aims to provide subsidized food grains to the economically weaker sections of society.
The system ensures that food grains are distributed efficiently to households through fair price shops (FPS) across the state. The introduction of the EPDS Bihar portal has helped improve transparency, reduce leakage, and enhance the overall functioning of the PDS.
Key Features of EPDS Bihar
EPDS Bihar comes with a wide range of features aimed at improving the efficiency of the food distribution system in the state. Some of the key features include:
Online Registration: The platform allows citizens to register themselves for ration cards online. This process eliminates the need for people to visit government offices and stand in long queues.
Transparency in Distribution: The system ensures that food grains are distributed efficiently through the Fair Price Shops (FPS) and allows beneficiaries to track their entitlements in real-time.
Ration Card Information: EPDS Bihar provides complete details about ration cards, including the types of cards (APL, BPL, etc.), the distribution status, and the list of eligible beneficiaries.
Real-time Data: The system captures real-time data about the distribution process, helping authorities monitor the movement of food grains from storage facilities to FPS. This minimizes the chances of pilferage or fraud.
Availability of Reports: EPDS Bihar generates reports that are accessible to the public. These reports contain detailed information about the beneficiaries, food distribution, and stock management.
Beneficiary Status: Through the portal, beneficiaries can check the status of their food distribution, ensuring they receive the commodities they are entitled to under government schemes.
Grievance Redressal: EPDS Bihar has a grievance redressal mechanism in place. If beneficiaries face any issues with ration card registration or food distribution, they can file a complaint through the portal, which will be addressed by the concerned authorities.
Benefits of EPDS Bihar
The implementation of the EPDS Bihar has brought about significant improvements in the food distribution system. Here are some of the benefits it offers:
Elimination of Fraud: By using biometric authentication and tracking systems, EPDS ensures that only eligible individuals can avail of the benefits. This has reduced the chances of fraud and misuse of resources.
Increased Accessibility: The online platform has made the process of checking and updating ration cards much easier. Beneficiaries can now check their entitlements, register, and even update their details without visiting government offices.
Transparency and Accountability: The digital system provides a transparent mechanism for food distribution. It helps government authorities keep track of the food grain distribution process, ensuring accountability at all levels.
Efficient Food Distribution: The system allows for more accurate forecasting of the food requirements of different regions, ensuring that food grains are distributed as per demand and minimizing wastage.
Time-Saving: The online process saves a significant amount of time for both the citizens and the authorities. Beneficiaries no longer have to visit multiple offices for updates and approvals.
Improved Delivery Mechanism: The system also facilitates better coordination between various stakeholders, including the government, Fair Price Shops, and beneficiaries, leading to improved food delivery across the state.
How to Register for EPDS Bihar?
The registration process for EPDS Bihar is simple and user-friendly. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started:

In addition to the online portal, the EPDS Bihar mobile application offers a more convenient way for beneficiaries to access services on the go. The app is available for both Android and iOS platforms and provides all the features available on the website, including registration, checking ration card status, and filing grievances.
Challenges Faced by EPDS Bihar
While the EPDS Bihar system has revolutionized the food distribution system, there are still some challenges that need to be addressed:
Digital Literacy: Not all citizens are familiar with digital tools. This can create a barrier for some people, especially the elderly and rural populations, in accessing the portal.
Technical Issues: Some users have reported issues with the website and app, such as slow loading times or difficulty in accessing certain features.
Dependence on Technology: The system relies heavily on technology, which can be problematic if there are power outages or connectivity issues, particularly in rural areas.
Conclusion
The EPDS Bihar system has undoubtedly been a game-changer in the way food distribution is managed in Bihar. By integrating technology into the Public Distribution System, the government has brought in greater transparency, efficiency, and accessibility. Though challenges persist, the overall benefits of the system are undeniable. As more people become aware of EPDS and as technology becomes more accessible, the system is expected to improve further, benefiting millions of citizens in Bihar.

Personal loans have become a popular choice for individuals needing substantial funds for diverse purposes such as medical emergencies, weddings, education, or business expansion. With banks and financial institutions offering personal loans up to Rs. 50 lakh, the application process has been simplified and digitized for convenience. Here’s a comprehensive guide to applying for a Rs. 50 lakh personal loan.
Step 1: Assess Eligibility
Before applying, it’s crucial to check if you meet the lender’s eligibility criteria. Common factors include:
Age: Typically, applicants should be between 21 to 60 years.
Income: A stable and sufficient income is necessary. Salaried individuals and self-employed professionals must meet minimum income requirements set by the lender.
Credit Score: A credit score of 750 or above improves approval chances.
Employment Stability: Salaried individuals need a stable job history, while self-employed individuals must show consistent business performance.
Existing Debt: Lower existing debt increases eligibility for a larger loan amount.
Step 2: Compare Lenders
Not all lenders offer loans up to Rs. 50 lakh. Compare different banks and financial institutions based on:
Interest Rates: Lower rates reduce overall cost.
Tenure: Choose a flexible repayment period (up to 5 years or more).
Processing Fees: Look for lenders with minimal charges.
Prepayment Policies: Consider institutions with favorable foreclosure or part-payment terms.
Use online loan aggregators and comparison tools for quick evaluation.
Step 3: Gather Required Documents
Ensure you have all the necessary documents to avoid delays. Common requirements include:
Identity Proof: Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License.
Address Proof: Utility Bills, Ration Card, or Rent Agreement.
Income Proof:
Salaried: Salary slips, bank statements, and Form 16.
Self-employed: Business financials, ITR, and bank statements.
Employment Proof: Appointment letter or work certificate for salaried individuals.
Credit Reports: Some lenders may request your credit report.
Step 4: Apply for the Loan
You can apply online or visit a branch office. Here’s how to proceed:
Online Application:
Visit the lender's website or mobile app.
Fill in the application form with personal and financial details.
Upload scanned copies of required documents.
Await verification and approval, which might take a few hours to a few days.
Offline Application:
Visit the nearest branch of your chosen lender.
Submit a completed application form along with physical copies of documents.
Wait for the lender to process and verify your application.
Step 5: Verification and Approval
Lenders perform the following checks after receiving your application:
Document Verification: To confirm authenticity.
Creditworthiness Assessment: Based on your credit score, income, and financial obligations.
Background Check: Employment or business validation.
Once approved, you’ll receive a formal sanction letter specifying the loan terms.
Step 6: Disbursal of Funds
Upon signing the agreement, the loan amount is disbursed to your bank account. This can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days, depending on the lender.
Key Tips for Approval
Maintain a High Credit Score: Regularly repay EMIs and credit card bills on time.
Minimize Existing Debt: Lower debt increases eligibility for high-value loans.
Opt for Co-Borrowing: Adding a co-borrower with a strong financial profile enhances approval chances.
Negotiate: Use a solid credit history to negotiate better terms.
Conclusion
Applying for an instant approval personal loan for 50 lakh requires careful planning, eligibility checks, and comparison of lenders. With the digital transformation of banking, the process has become more efficient. By following these steps and preparing in advance, you can ensure a smooth and successful loan application process.

In The Know
I have often likened the process of studying consumer behavior to being much the same as trying to peek into the black box of our brain. We can study all the cultural and social phenomena you want. We can analyze and theorize. But at the end of the day, it all boils down to what’s going on inside the deep, dark, secret recesses in our head.
In other words, good luck with that. We’re all human, we are not always rational, we have quirks and peculiarities. And we also have parts of us we never reveal to others, even the people closest to us.
But what if…what if we as marketers could tap into that private space, effectively putting our brains through the x-ray machine so that nothing is left hidden?
We have been heading down this road for a long time. Back in the days of cash, there was little record keeping that pinned specific items to us. As we made the slow transition to other forms of payment, like checks and early credit cards, we started leaving electronic bread crumbs. Skip forward to the present, and we hardly ever use cash for anything. Yesterday I asked my youngest daughter when was the last time she used cash to buy something.
She couldn’t remember.
Our concept of an all-knowing God is now supplemented by digital records that are nearly on par with absolute omniscience. There is no denying I used my Visa card to tap and go for a gas station coffee the other night, to the tune of a whopping 75 cents. Or lunch with my daughter yesterday. Or some crazy socks I bought in McKinney Texas last night at the Oktoberfest celebration. Tap tap tap, and before that, swipe swipe swipe. God doesn’t need to be omniscient if he has friends at Visa.
Our ability to more fully know each and every human alive has reached the point at which we have to be concerned about privacy laws. Although some in the industry swear they are moving away from personally identifiable information and instead toward more generalizable data, the potential still exists for very precise consumer information to be recorded and available. And used against us.
That’s another way of saying that marketers are having to try to build trust with us, because we know they’ve kind of got us. In many regards, we gladly provide all of our personal data in return for being able to use products and services. It’s just part of the transaction. We just hope they don’t ever try to control us.
Consider your mobile phone. Between the maker of the phone, your service provider, and the dozens of apps you have running all the time, there is little that cannot be distilled about us. There is nearly completely perfect knowledge in that one little device.
My younger brother hates Google and refuses to use it. He does not use Google Maps. He uses Duck Duck Go as his search engine. He tries to hide. I often remind him that it is a fool’s errand, that he cannot hide, because someone already knows almost everything he has done. Remove your tin foil hat. If Apple, AT&T, and Facebook were to ever come together to share information, they could write much of his biography. Stir in Visa, and you have the definitive story of his life. Your life. My life.
And maybe that is the only saving grace out there, that while the information about us is thorough and complete, it does not reside in the hands of only one company. It has to be pieced together, because it is in fragments. Facebook knows I was at Oktoberfest because I have location services on, and if I were unknowingly near one of my Facebook friends last night, it will likely put that person’s posts in my feed today, even if I never saw that person. It just knows.
Google knows my every move, because I live by their mapping services. Every month I receive a detailed analysis of my travels, and I rather like it, because it serves as a memory. AT&T knows every tower I have pinged, how much data I have used. And Apple…well, no telling how much data collecting Apple has been doing the last 16 years on my phones.
Essentially, if you truly want to hide, either as a private individual not wanting to reveal their inner self, or as a criminal on the lam, you better turn off your damn phone and go back to paying cash. Oh, and wear a disguise when in public, because there are too many cameras these days that can recognize you.
In spite of all the potential for data tracking at levels never before imagined outside of, say, The Matrix or Black Mirror, marketers are still not there yet when it comes to truly knowing us. You see, if marketers had perfect information, there would be no risk, only predictable outcomes. You wouldn’t see products like Coca-Cola Spiced being pulled from shelves after only seven months. Everything would be scripted as if on another quaint movie, Truman Show.
Yet we as marketers keep trying to break open that black box, something that has become ever smaller through time as information gathering has increased. Maybe someday. But until then, it will take that omniscient God to know the last grain of our essence packed away in that teeny box.

Form DIR-5 : Surrendering A DIN
Introduction
Every person who occupies a position as a director or partner of a business or LLP (Limited Liability Partnership) that is registered in India must receive a DIN, or Director Identification Number. Therefore, after obtaining the digital signature of the intended director or partner, DIN is collected as part of the business registration or LLP incorporation process. Sometimes a DIN is obtained in error for someone who already possesses one. The information on this page can assist you in understanding "What is DIN?", "Why it is necessary to surrender DIN?," what information must be on Form DIR-5 and what documentation is needed to back it when giving up a DIN.
What is DIN?
The Permanent Account Number (PAN) or passport connection of the DIN makes it legal for someone who wants to become a director to obtain one. A person who wishes to become a director might do so in many organisations by getting a single DIN. Therefore, the interested party may check the DIN database to see if they have ever received a DIN from the Central Government before obtaining a DIN or at any point while applying for a DIN.
In order to solve the issue of one application getting many DINs, the Central Government has also devised a checking process wherein, prior to allotting any DIN, it also conducts a check and checks the data supplied by the applicant through its database. It is preferable for the prospective candidate to perform a precautionary check on the MCA portal to see if he has ever received a DIN.
If the applicant's history of any prior DINs is discovered, the current application will be rejected and no new DIN will be issued. The Central Government would be informed if records reveal that the applicant has more than one DIN. The applicant would be required to pay a fine for breaking the law, discard all but one of his DINs, and justify maintaining the remaining ones.
Why is it required to submit a DIN?
1. An unlawfully or dishonestly obtained DIN
If a director who received a DIN by supplying false information or in an unlawful way surrenders the DIN, the regulatory authorities may deactivate the DIN after giving the director a show-cause notice.
2. Every time a director is declared bankrupt
If the director is deemed to be bankrupt, he must surrender his DIN by filing Form DIR-5 along with the court's decision.
3. Multiple Director Identification Numbers
According to Section 153 of the Companies Act of 2013, if a Director has more than one DIN, he must submit a Form DIR-5 application to the Regional Director along with a notarized affidavit stating that the additional DIN has never been used in any document type that must be submitted to the ROC.
4. Whenever a director becomes incompetent
If a court of competent jurisdiction finds a director to be mentally incompetent, the DIN must be given up by submitting Form DIR-5 with the court's ruling attached, under Section 153 of the Companies Act, 2013.
Required paperwork for submitting Form DIR-5
The applicant must attach the following papers to Form DIR-5 in order to relinquish their DIN.
Identity documentation (such a PAN, voter ID, or Aadhar card).
Address verification (driver's licence, ration card, utility bill or other).
If the applicant is an Indian, the documentation shouldn't be more than two months old as of the eForm submission date.
The address evidence must be older than a year as of the eForm submission date if the applicant is from outside the United States.
The court will make an injunction if a director is determined to be mentally ill or insolvent.
Certificate of Death (If the director is deceased).
Conclusion
The process for surrendering a DIN is quite straightforward, but before submitting an application for surrender in Form DIR-5, the DIN holder must ensure that the director hasn't been appointed to any company or other legal entity while in possession of a DIN and that the DIN that is being surrendered hasn't been used in any documents being submitted to a regulatory authority. The procedure of giving up a DIN has been significantly streamlined, made clear, and expedited with the introduction of E-form DIR-5.
