🎶 taichi + sora // [day 3] music (for @digiweek 2021) ok, i know it might be more appropriate to post this on day 5, but it's also about music and i have other ideas for day 5, so... been wanting to make a fic out of my digidestineds as camp half-blood's demigods (pjo universe) headcanon for a long time, so here it is. it's better if you read the headcanon first (part 1, part 2) before proceeding so you won't get confused about which one's the child of this or that god/goddess, or who's doing what. surprisingly, while i was quite in an agony for any other days, i wrote this in just one night. idk why, but most probably because it's taiora duh. however, the interactions that you'll see are more of taichi/mimi, and somehow in the middle of the way i decided that i wanted to write a long conversation between taichi/yamato. also, there's a faint hint of mimato; an appearance of koushiro, jyou, takeru, and daisuke; also a mention of hikari and miyako. (sorry ken and iori. next time.) i put the link of the song in the narration, even though i also add it on my taiora fanmix. happy reading!

“I’m going to confess to Sora.”
At first, it was a piece of information that only Koushiro knew after Taichi told him somewhere in the middle of June. However, the information then became available to some of the prominent figures in Camp Half-Blood, and it wasn’t because Koushiro couldn’t keep the secret. It was Taichi himself who actually went around and made a big deal out of it.
He went to the Camp Store as a start, where Jyou had his shift as usual, accompanied by Mimi who was doing her floral craft—currently the hottest item in the camp—on the back of the register. Taichi was wandering around searching for something that he could present to Sora as a confession gift, but it took him so long that Jyou finally spotted his bushy hair at one of the isles.
“Ha! Got you now, Yagami!” Jyou yelled; his left foot climbed the register agitatedly. “There’s no way I’m going to let you steal something today! Your lucky streak is over!”
“Relax, relax,” Taichi sneered half-offended, making his way to the register. “I’m not planning to steal anything today anyway. I’m looking for a gift for Sora.”
Jyou was not buying it. “And you think a freebie will be a perfect choice, huh?”
“No—geez Jyou, stop making me look like a bad person. There’s no way I’m going to give a stolen good for a confession.”
Mimi gasped, immediately stopped doing her crafts and jerked forward. “Tell me about that again!” Her pitch raised in excitement. “You’re going to confess to Sora?!”
“Yes, but—”
“Oh, for the love of Olympus—at last! Finally!” Mimi’s scream echoed through the entire store. Fortunately, there were only the three of them inside. “Thank you so much, my dear mother Demeter! I can’t bear any longer to see my soul sister waiting for this idiot to make a move!”
“I beg your pardon?”
“Now, now.” Mimi knocked the surface of the register demandingly. “Tell me how you’re going to confess, young man.”
“Well, I’m thinking about keeping it simple. Just the two of us, probably later in the annual fireworks. I’m going to search for a secluded place and give her something thoughtful—”
“Stop it right there,” Mimi interrupted with no hesitation. “Hello? It’s too ordinary. You’re going to confess to the daughter of the love goddess. Do you think her mother will accept you as her suitor if you use such an artless plan?”
“Mimi, it’s Sora I’m going to confess to. Why do I need to care about her mother’s opinion? I’m not signing up for Aphrodite’s harem.”
“Oh, don’t talk as if you have a chance. Your charm doesn’t even reach a thousandth of Adonis’ finesses,” Mimi warned in annoyance like she was the biggest fan of that mortal lover of Aphrodite. “You need to make it as grand as possible, Taichi. Make it a confession she will never forget and worth to tell your future sons and daughters.”
He would never even dare to dream about it—they always said demigods were short-lived thanks to the monsters that would chase them endlessly for the rest of their lives. “Okay,” Taichi huffed. “So, what are you proposing?”
Mimi paused and looked up. She did glance at Jyou, only to turn away barely a second later as if she was sure a love pariah like him would not know the answer (and of course, Jyou recognised her suspicious little attitude and started to nag in protest). When an idea finally struck, her eyes and smile grew simultaneously wider. She even leaned forward to emphasise her enthusiasm.
“John Cusack,” she announced. “Say Anything.”
“Anything?”
“It’s a movie title—oh Goddesses, you’re still an idiot,” Mimi groaned, grabbing her cell phone and showed him a clip from the internet. “This! This is just a perfect, all-time classic but timeless way of professing your feelings! I know Sora’s heart is going to melt, and she definitely won’t say no.”
Taichi would never admit it blatantly in front of Mimi, but he actually liked the idea. That was why on the following day, he went to the storage hoping to find some sort of audio system. As if the universe blessed him with a ton of luck, he quickly discovered a boom box that looked exactly like the one in the movie. He immediately brought it to Koushiro for a quick fix, and right there in his workstation, Koushiro—with his ever-perfect rationale—finally asked the most critical question.
“Which song are you going to play for her anyway?”
Of course, Taichi—with his ever-perfect nonsensicalness—didn’t have the answer yet.
Shortly after, Taichi decided to see Yamato who was nesting with his guitar at his cabin’s front porch. After greeting him with the most original salutation (“You look like a broken-hearted emo guy waiting for a cupid to pass by, you know?”), Taichi explained his strategies from former to later, and instead of giving any supportive signals, Yamato squinted his eyes looking somewhat appalled.
“It’s a great plan, right?” Taichi was obviously oblivious to Yamato’s reaction because he kept blabbering without knowing how to pull the brake. “That’s why I need you and your outstanding musicality to provide me with a song.”
Yamato sighed, slowly turning his attention back to his guitar and trying his best to ignore Taichi. Little did everyone know, Yamato once had a feeling for Sora, so to help Taichi with his plan seemed to be a bit awkward for him—not that he was jealous or anything. “Why does it have to be a song?”
“Why not?” Taichi pulled out a reverse card. “That, or you have to lend me your other Apollonian knack of writing a poem. A super romantic poem, to be exact, with words that are so sugary and flowery—hey, wait, is that a flower on your guitar pick?”
It was indeed a flower—a pressed baby’s-blue-eyes encapsulated in a transparent guitar pick, to be exact. As soon as Taichi exposed him, Yamato got nervous all the sudden and threw the little thing inside his jeans pocket. A crease formed between Taichi’s brows after he managed to connect some tiny dots flying inside his head.
“…is that from Mimi?”
“Shut up.”
“Wait, are you guys that close? She doesn’t make a guitar pick for sale, I know that for sure.”
“You’re a pain in the arse, you know?”
“I prefer the term ‘strong-willed’, thank you very much.”
Takeru stepped out of the cabin afterwards, greeting them with such a bright smile. He carried a quiver on his back alongside a bow in one of his arms, which meant he was going to the Archery Field. Yamato found the moment as a perfect diversion, so he asked, “Oi, Takeru. Can you write a poem for Taichi? He wants to—”
“—send my mother a heart-warming birthday present!” Taichi immediately jumped in while trying his best to strangle Yamato. “But don’t worry, Takeru. It’s very kind of your brother to be my personal Shakespeare.”
He was never a prejudice to begin with, so Takeru just giggled at their bromance before went away. Yamato shook Taichi off, looking extremely pissed as he scowled at the son of Hermes. “The hell?”
“Takeru must not know about this. He’s going to tell Hikari.”
“Hikari doesn’t know yet?”
“I find it weird consulting my love life to my little sister.”
“Yeah? And when is your mother’s birthday really?”
“Uh… March thirtieth?”
“And you think Takeru isn’t going to ask Hikari right now on the archery practice when your mother birthday is? He’s going to find out that your mother’s birthday was in spring, and Hikari will be able to tell that you hide something anyway.”
Realising his stupidity, Taichi cursed low under his breath. Yet again, Hikari and Takeru should be his least priority for now, so he tried to resume with the main topic. “Whatever. Just give me the song already.”
In a half-hearted tone, Yamato finally gave an option. “You guys are best friend, right? Lucky, then. Jason Mraz and Colby Caillat.”
“I know that song from the radio. Man, that’s too mellow. She’ll never hear it even I put them in the highest volume. Give me a more upbeat one. Not a death metal upbeat, but not that slow.”
Yamato figured out he would never hear the end of this if he did not take the matter more seriously. Therefore, he went inside his cabin to pick up his iPod and started scrolling his music library. He let Taichi listened to each of his recommendations so it would be easier for him to settle on one song.
By the time Taichi finished his preparation, the initial information had turned into a rumour spread like a wildfire in the entire camp. Maybe someone heard Taichi, Mimi, and Jyou’s conversation back then at the store. Maybe Miyako saw Taichi visited the Hephaestus’ cabin when he was asking for Koushiro’s help. At this stage, it wasn’t impossible if Sora had gotten a spoiler of Taichi’s plan—especially knowing that most of her siblings had a reputation of being a tattle-tale.
Nevertheless, Taichi did not seem to care and remained focus on his plan.
It was the first day of July when he stepped out of Cabin Eleven and walked across the campfire to reach the front yard of Cabin Ten. The time was around seven in the morning, which meant roughly an hour before the cabin inspection. Sora had to be inside carrying her role as Cabin Ten’s Head Counsellor and supervising the cleaning.
Some people passed behind him, either giggling or whispering much to his ignorance. The boom box was tucked safely under his arm; thanks to Koushiro’s prodigal hands, the device was now fully functional, and Taichi only needed to press a single button to play the song in the right volume. And that was what he did before he raised the boom box above his head; exactly a mimic of John Cusack.
Soon, music blasted right from the pair of speakers. It was more of a pop-rock song and everything but hardcore. However, with a bit of twist from Yamato on the bass and treble, it came out quite nicely for such a beautiful morning like this. And indeed, it was loud enough to attract more attention as the number of passers-by who decided to stop and watch from afar grew.
It didn’t take more than one minute for his target to come out of her cabin. Her face looked more curious rather than irritated, and when Sora found out it was Taichi who stood there, her expression turned into an amusement instead. She remained unfazed, watching his sheepish grin as the song continued. The only move she did was covering her mouth in disbelief when she listened thoroughly to the lyrics.
The music came to an end after three minutes, and Taichi finally lowered the boom box. They exchanged a meaningful gaze and a sincere smile in silence—even the whispers around sounded loud enough to fill the dead air. Taking this as a positive sign, he decided to open his mouth.
“Sora,” he began. “Listen. I—”
“WHO THE HELL WAS PLAYING A MUSIC SO LOUD IN THIS HOUR, FOR TARTARUS’ SAKE?!” Daisuke suddenly stormed out of Cabin Twelve, just next to Cabin Ten, yelling like a mad man from the porch. “CAN’T YOU SEE THAT SOMEONE IS STILL SLEEPING? I WILL REPORT THIS TO MY FATHER, MARK MY WORD! HE SHALL BE THE BANE OF YOUR EXISTENCE, AND YOU WILL—”
He was still in his pyjama and his eyes were half-closed, so when then found out it was Taichi—the senior he respected the most—who caused the commotion, his eyeballs almost popped out of his skull. As he caught the sight of Taichi’s death glare, he realised he was the one who was going to be in very deep trouble.
“Oh, sch—naps. Gods. I’m an idiot. Dammit. Uh. Yeah.” Daisuke literally couldn’t help himself. “H, hello, Taichi! Good morning to you too, Sora! And all of you—how are you guys doing?!”
It was as if they were in a concert, except no one was really shouting back.
“I, I’m just going to return to my den. Don’t forget the inspection’s coming, guys!”
Daisuke took one last glance at Taichi in hope for a forgiveness, but seeing that the glare didn’t die down after his pathetic effort, he quickly flew back into his cabin.
“I’m so going to kill him,” Taichi grumbled as Sora approached him, stopping just a few centimetres in front.
“Well, I don’t know about that….” Sora hissed; her tones were rather playful. “If you kill him, Mr D won’t let you live long enough to see the fireworks. I thought you want to bring me somewhere secluded on the beach and give me something thoughtful?”
Taichi smirked. “Okay, now who’s telling you about that? Mimi? Jyou?”
“What if I said it was Yamato?”
“Then I have two heads to kill,” Taichi concluded. “Nevertheless, you’re still going to love me just like I love you, right?”
“Don’t put your words in my mouth, idiot.”
Because her mouth had its own way to give an answer: by leaning into his mouth for a kiss, leaving the entire camp gasping in unison.

digidestined as camp half-blood’s demigod
if you found my previous blogpost about pjo series coming to disney+ got me thinking about digidestined as demigods, well here it is.
since this is a long post, this series will come up in two posts probably: the first being this post that explains the backstory of the kids and how they get claimed, while the second one will list down all of my trivias/headcanons related to their life on camp.
since i didn’t really follow heroes of olympus, i do not write them as children minor gods/goddesses because i’m not really familiar with the traits (and yes, i also don’t include the big three because... that’s the rule, right?). please also note that this is my headcanon; you are free to have different opinions about it. but let me know your thoughts and ideas!
many thanks to @ashandpikachu for your ideas!! (and also @sorasfishing for the support!)
summary:
cabin 4 (demeter): mimi
cabin 5 (ares): iori
cabin 6 (athena): jyou, ken
cabin 7 (apollo): yamato, takeru
cabin 9 (hephaestus): koushiro, miyako
cabin 10 (aphrodite): sora
cabin 11 (hermes): taichi, hikari
cabin 12 (dionysus): daisuke
year of entering the camp:
taichi, yamato, takeru, jyou, koushiro, mimi, sora
hikari (a year after taichi)
daisuke, mimi, iori, ken (three years after taichi)
orders below based on who was claimed first. [!!!] warning: very long post
___
taichi yagami – son of hermes
background: taichi was the son of yuuko. not only he held grudges against his unknown father for abandoning him, but he also despised susumu whom his mother was married to. that summer, taichi insisted to stay at home instead of going to susumu’s childhood home in the countryside to spend the summer vacation along with yuuko and his “step-sister”, hikari.
taichi was playing with koushiro, his junior and neighbor, when they encountered a monster who was trying to kill them both. a satyr then came to the rescue, telling taichi and koushiro that they were demigods and they had to go to camp half-blood. a troublemaker by nature, taichi immediately involved in a feud with a boy named yamato on his very first day, which later would turn to a very strong love-hate relationship.
the camp amazed him so much that he didn’t really think about his immortal parent. however, he was the one to be claimed first among the other children who entered the camp in the same summer as him. hermes claimed him on capture the flag, and while others congratulated him, he went berserk. he thought his father was a coward for not seeing him directly. later, it was sora who helped him to get back on track. she guided him to accept that gods couldn’t just go around meeting their kids, made him realize that his father loved him in his own way, and he should be grateful that at least hermes acknowledged him.
why: taichi is an adventurous yet laid-back person, which is similar with hermes. not to mention that he’s an athlete and hermes is the god of sport.
yamato ishida – son of apollo
background: yamato was the eldest son of natsuko. however, instead of living together with his mother and his younger brother takeru, yamato was forced to live in a rural together with his grandparents since natsuko was being advised by her immortal lovers not to put her children under the same roof. although yamato seemed cool about it, he never really understood why and sad by the fact that he had to be separated with takeru.
yamato only met takeru on holiday, and that summer vacation, a monster finally managed to hunt them down. fortunately, a satyr appeared and brought them to camp half-blood before it was too late. he was instantly irked with taichi’s mischievous attitude and nearly got into a fight if chiron didn’t stopped them.
but of course, the fight continued on the other day. at one time, it went so bad that koushiro, jyou, and takeru had to jump in. taichi unintentionally hit takeru, and yamato was very furious he swore he would kill taichi at instance. and that’s where apollo claimed him and his brother, and the gleeful squeal from takeru managed to stop the fist from flying around.
why: pretty self-explanatory; apollo’s the god of music while yamato plays instruments. if we look at pjo universe, apollo is noted to be one of the hottest and most popular gods, and yamato indeed has the same aura.
takaishi takeru – son of apollo
background: although takeru lived in the city with his mother, he mostly spent his time alone with storybooks since natsuko was a very busy journalist. he often wondered if only his beloved older brother lived with him….
on his journey together with his elder brother to the camp, the monster almost got them, but a satyr managed to save them. however, the satyr was killed along the way. it made little takeru very shock and sad, he cried so much after they arrived.
takeru became the youngest demigod to be admitted that summer, yet he was claimed just before they wrapped up the season on his first year together with yamato.
why: because i cannot imagine separating the siblings. i think with his literary skill and a warm personality, takeru is also fitted to be apollo’s son anyway.
koushiro izumi – son of hephaestus
background: koushiro was an adopted child. he never knew anything about his parents since he was left in the orphanage without any information, other than his first name and birth date that indicated it was only his second day on earth. he already acknowledged that he was not related by blood to the izumi’s, but nevertheless, he grew up to be such a smart kid that his parents were proud of. he was fond of computer and robotics; he could build simple robots like the one that helped his mother making a batch of onigiri.
he was hanging out with taichi when he found out that he was a demigod. since he didn’t have any idea whether his immortal parent was a god or a goddess, he always guessed that he was the son of athena, which taichi agreed to. however, it turned out to be a wrong one when they had the start-of-summer feast on their second year (similar to start-of-term feast on hogwartsverse). hephaestus claimed him in the middle of his eating.
why: i know that at a glance, koushiro is surely a son of athena with his brilliant brain. but i want to have a representative for each cabin, and i think koushiro can be a son of hephaestus with his ability on mechanical stuffs.
hikari yagami – daughter of hermes
background: in the summer when taichi went to the camp, hikari was with her parents in the countryside.
the following year, after taichi departed for his second summer on the camp, hikari was chased by a monster. although a satyr managed to bring her to the camp, she was badly injured. her life was barely hanging on a thread when she arrived at the start-of-summer feast—shortly after koushiro was claimed—which caused an uproar among the campers.
taichi was flabbergasted. he never knew that his “step-sister” was also a demigod, because from what he remembered, hikari was born not long after yuuko married susumu. seeing her in a very terrible condition, taichi couldn’t help but panic. after all, even though he hated susumu, he could never hate hikari from the start.
that night, taichi fell asleep while accompanying hikari beside her bed in the infirmary. in his dream, hermes came to him and telling him how much he was proud of him. hermes then glanced at hikari, smiling. when he touched her forehead, all of her wounds are clearing up and she slowly stopped to tremble. before bidding his goodbye, hermes said to taichi: “she will get better. now you don’t have to be alone and we will always be together…”
when taichi opened his eyes, there was a caduceus glowing above sleeping hikari—a sign that she was claimed by hermes. up until now, he was never exactly sure whether it was only a dream or not.
why: because i cannot imagine separating the siblings [2]. yes hikari was quite weak and there’s no proof that she’s good at sport. but hermes is the patron of travelers, and cabin eleven was a refuge for unclaimed demigods. i think this, in any way, can be associated with hikari’s kindness. giving shelter to the homeless… isn’t hospitality sound hikari-ish?
mimi tachikawa – daughter of demeter
background: mimi was the daughter of a successful businessman. her father spoiled her so much and showered her with things that she loves. the newest barbie? got it! fashionable clothes? added to the cart! pink cellphone? why not!
the phone didn’t last long though; thanks to the cellular, she got tracked by a monster and dragged down by a satyr to the camp. initially, she hated the idea of being in the camp (“it’s so packed!”) and how she would spend the rest of her life being chased by monsters. she was known to be so vocal with her thoughts, and that’s why there were a lot of campers who despise her even though there were also those who admired her so much due to her natural charm. sora was her best friend, as she accepted her just as she was.
with her beauty, a lot of people thought that she was a daughter of aphrodite, but demeter claimed her on her second summer in the camp.
why: looking at the strong-willed persephone (another demeter’s daughter), mimi would definitely fit as the inhibitor of cabin four. children of demeter also have natural talent to cook, and so does mimi!
jyou kido – son of athena
background: jyou was the son of a doctor who then got married to a woman because he was struggling to raise a kid by himself. jyou’s father was a complicated man to begin with. even jyou was closer to his stepmother and his two step brothers.
he was the oldest camper to be accepted that summer, but he was quite timid compare to the younger ones. on every capture the flag game, he would always stay behind and became the medical team instead. and despite his age, he wasn’t claimed as fast as others, and that made him sad. he thought that his mother didn’t want to claim a weakling like him.
on his third summer, a son of ares made fun of him in the capture the flag and he got so mad that he fired up. in the middle of that tight fight, a light with aegis symbol appeared. athena had just claimed him—proudly.
why: jyou is very smart and reliable! also, if we look at adventure, probably because he was the oldest, jyou was quite a strategist, so i think he would make a good son of war strategist.
sora takenouchi – daughter of aphrodite
background: sora was the daughter of a professor named haruhiko. haruhiko then got married to toshiko who became sora’s stepmother. sora’s relationship with her mother was not good. she always thought that toshiko was a meanie who would never understand her.
sora went to the same school and lived in the same neighborhood as taichi and koushiro. she actually passed the two of them while they were running from the monster. when she was about to curiously followed them, another monster came and chased her on her own. she got into the half-blood hill with the help of a satyr, and that’s where she finally met taichi and koushiro. the three of them reached the camp together.
her best friend was mimi. they initially thought that sora was the daughter of demeter and mimi was the daughter of aphrodite. when demeter claimed mimi in front of sora’s eyes, mimi got so happy because she thought that they would become sisters, but if it was true, the fact that demeter didn’t claim her the same time as mimi when she also stood there made her sad.
just like jyou, she was also insecure about her immortal parent. they discussed a lot about it, but when jyou got claimed first, she became so disappointed on herself. she stayed out of the crowds often, and it was taichi who caught her sitting alone on the beach that night. they had a deep talk while she was sobbing. she told him that she felt unloved before taichi comforted her; returning every word she said to him when he went nuts after he got claimed.
there was a light between them, then—a sign of claiming. aphrodite was claiming her. the overjoy rushed through her body that she unconsciously hugged taichi that left both of them blushing.
why: sora has this piper mclean trope; a boyish girl far from aphrodite stereotype. as she is also the bearer of crest of love, aphrodite suits her perfectly. (also, yes, when she got claimed, aphrodite’s watching from olympus and said, “oooh, i like this lovey-dovey moment!” lol)
daisuke motomiya – son of dionysus
background: daisuke’s mother got pregnant with daisuke shortly after her husband passed away, so daisuke and his sister, jun, always thought that daisuke was the son of their father anyway. well, he actually wasn’t.
daisuke got to the camp on the same year with miyako, iori, and ken, when taichi entered his fourth summer. daisuke instantly idolized taichi, saw him as a brother figure. looking at their resemblance, he was sure that he was the son of hermes. after his first capture the flag which his team won, mr. d—the camp director—went to see him and the rest of the team. daisuke was being praised by taichi and mr. d looked at them, irked of their closeness. he then said, “i don’t want you to be so close with this chicken ass hair, so move to cabin twelve, boy. you’re not his brother and will never be.” it left him in an awkward shock.
why: daisuke is probably more hermes if you compare to taichi (idk?), but again, i tried to have a representative for each cabin. dionysus was witty, and daisuke surely has his own way when he’s talking. dionysus is also the god of party and madness, while daisuke is surely as chaotic as him.
miyako inoue – daughter of hephaestus
background: neither did anyone knew that miyako was a product of an affair of her mother, even miyako herself. she just realized this when she got to the camp together with iori and being told that she had an immortal parent.
she swallowed the fact for the whole summer, trying to enjoy the camp as much as she could. she went to every class, made friends, admired mimi and koushiro as her seniors, and—of course—fell for ken with his coolness. she never really cared about who her parent was, but then claimed by hephaestus at her second year.
when she got back home on her first summer, she finally talked to her mother, where she confirmed the news that indeed her mother’s husband wasn’t miyako’s real father. her mother told her a story about how they almost got divorced due to miyako’s presence, but eventually made up. knowing that she caused trouble in her family, she was actually disappointed in herself. things got awkward with between her family, especially with her step-father—who actually seemed quite chill with her despite the fact—and her siblings—who were completely oblivious. that’s why miyako always loved going to the camp to avoid the tension she actually created herself.
why: miyako is actually a perfect daughter of athena, but she’s also similar to koushiro with her tech skill, thus she went to cabin nine. i think koushiro and miyako are perfect as siblings!
ken ichijouji – son of athena
background: ken was the son of a man who lost his wife and first son on an accident before. he always blamed himself for the accident and often dwelled on the memory that he sometimes forgot ken existed.
ken was the luke castellan of this universe. he was brainwashed by cronos before he got into the camp. while he charmed everyone with his talents, he also secretly planned to set cronos and his troops free, but when he managed to complete his task on his third summer, he was betrayed by cronos. the titan said, “thank you for your service, son of athena, but i had enough of using your brain,” which indirectly made ken “claimed.”
he regained his consciousness at the battle and eventually helped the camp to beat cronos. after it all ended, athena went to see him in private. they both apologized to each other; ken for causing such a huge trouble, and athena for letting her son controlled by cronos and unable to do anything to stop. athena told him that she would always be proud of ken, and to show it, ken got his claiming light when he walked back to his friends so that they properly knew he was the son of athena. he apologized to the entire camp after, and although it was hard to get their trust back, daisuke—his best friend—supported him to get through.
why: i think this is also pretty self-explanatory. ken is a master of everything, and with his knowledge, he can beat anyone he wants with his neat strategy. and somehow i made all children of athena have blue hair lol.
iori hida – son of ares
background: iori lived with his mother and grandfather who taught him kendo. he was taken to the camp together with miyako, his neighbor.
iori was the youngest camper that summer—just like takeru on his batch. he was different from young takeru, though, considering he was very mature. he was also known as one of the most polite campers, but there was one person he could never really get friendly with: ken ichijouji. he felt like that person hid something.
his hunch was proven to be correct in his third year, when ken almost destroyed the world with cronos. he went to the battle with other campers, but somehow ended up in a direct battle with the man himself. as ken confronted him, iori’s hatred toward ken got stronger that his rage finally unleashed. he struck ken with all his might, using a power so strong than he ever felt before. he almost beat him to death if daisuke didn’t come to stop him. when daisuke pulled him back and iori realized what he just did to ken, he was in awe, wondering how could he do that. the answer came instantly; ares claimed him, making him acknowledged as the son of the strongest god. with the power from his immortal father, iori was also one of the key heroes who defeat cronos.
why: surprise, surprise!! i think no one will see iori as the son of ares, considering children of ares are usually a troublemaker and very provoking, while he is quite docile. it’s not kendo that made me thought of him this way. i think it’s more because of his fighting spirit.
#digimon#by me#headcanon#digiheadcanon#demigod#omg this is so long!!!#next part coming up#anyway i'd love to hear your thoughts#i also want to have the children from tamers and frontiers#like i know ruki is ares and izumi is aphrodite#let me know if you have ideas#and sorry if my english turns so bad lol#digidemigods

digidestined as camp half-blood’s demigod: headcanons
⚔️ you can read the previous post first to have a better understanding about this universe. these are all for now, but maybe in the future i can always add more (probably write a fic about it?) and i’m open to your suggestion! also, excuse the messy order since my head was all over the place lol.
camp half-blood © rick riordan
___
— mr. d (dionysus), the camp director, hates taichi. especially because in his first year, taichi accidentally smashed the volleyball too hard and broke the window of mr. d’s room in big house.
— besides volley court, taichi’s favorite spot is the lava-climbing wall where he usually competes with sora.
— koushiro developed a safe connection for demigods to communicate with each other using mobile phone. after miyako came and be claimed, they created an app for demigods not only for them to make a phone call, but also chat and others.
— historically speaking, pan and apollo are not really in a good relationship. but takeru is very friendly to the satyrs (which are pan’s loyal followers) that it is their guilty pleasure to hang out with takeru.
— the satyrs often ask takeru to play flute for them, but takeru don’t really play instruments. when takeru told them to come to yamato, they said that they prefer takeru rather than yamato because yamato seems scary. (lol)
— takeru doesn’t want to see them upset, so he asks yamato to teach him how to play wind instruments. (aww)
— jyou once fell into the canoe lake and wasn’t able to swim to the shore because his foot got stuck in a pondweed. the naiad came to the rescue and somehow, they thought that jyou’s a charming guy. he became popular among the naiads ever since.
— yamato once had a crush on sora after she helped him on their first capture the flag, but after he found out that she obviously likes taichi (which wasn’t obvious enough for taichi himself because he’s so insensitive), he decided to forget about it. although no one really knew about it, takeru realized how his elder brother played more mellow tunes after.
— on their fourth year, taichi, sora, yamato, mimi, koushiro, and jyou are appointed as the counselor of their respective cabin. let’s just say the counselor meeting is getting merrier ever since.
— and ever since his appointment, taichi always pulls a prank to the newcomers. although hikari cannot stop his brother’s antique, she will always help to clean up the mess after.
— although takeru is not really into musics as much as his brother, he’s extremely good at archery. he teaches hikari about it, which makes them closer, and later on, hikari becomes as good as him. they are dubbed as the camp’s “twin hunter”, inspired by apollo and artemis. this fact irritates taichi a bit because he doesn’t want hikari to become an artemis hunter and afraid that this can affect her decision later in the future.
— miyako developed a huge crush on ken when they just entered the camp. she showed no mercy though when ken turned against the whole camp. (although yes, she starts to like him again after the whole things have been resolved and won’t stop pestering daisuke to help her…)
— jyou’s the one who mostly takes care of the camp’s shop. mimi usually helps him (or disturb him…) hence they’re getting so close. miyako and iori also help later on. taichi’s the one who usually steals, as he is the son of hermes after all.
— after mimi got claimed, she started to handcraft a lot of things from flowers and sold it on the camp stores (after all, she’s the daughter of a businessman, right?). potpourri, soap, jewelry, you name it. sora also helped her sometimes.
— recently, yamato thought of gifting something to his mother for her birthday, so he went to the camp store. he saw mimi’s handcraft and pondered for quite a time that mimi finally caught him. mimi ended up helping yamato to create a personal flower tea for her mother, but in return yamato had to give mimi one of his grandmother’s recipes, which was a famous local dish from his hometown. they both got close ever since ;)
— mimi also opens a pop-up café together with other demeter’s children every summer for a week (the idea came up after she was appointed as counselor), where they would all cook different menus each year. this is refreshing since demigods usually eat only the things that wood nymphs serve on dining pavilion.
— takeru also notice the change of yamato’s music after he gets close to mimi. “your music sounds like love songs,” he said. yamato was flustered.
— how taichi finally asked sora out: he asked mimi’s advice, and she said that he should do it like “this classic movie” where the boy raised a boombox in front of his crush’s house. taichi then asked yamato for a song suggestion, and although yamato was pissed off, he ended up giving him a song anyway just so that taichi wouldn’t bother him. when he did that, sora was so embarrassed, but she finally cracked a laugh when daisuke who lived on cabin twelve (next to cabin ten) popped up from his door and screamed, “SHUT THE HELL UP!” when he found out that it was taichi who made the noise, taichi gave him a death glare and daisuke was extremely afraid that he just made his respected senior mad at him…
— long short story, taichi and sora go out anyway, so daisuke’s safe.
