Wiggles, (2001)
Also known as Diggles, and Diggles: The Myth of Fenris is a cute little strategy RTS, if very slow-paced. First made by the now-defunct SEK-Ost, (Spieleentwicklungskombinat GmbH), you can now buy the game on GoG.
Tragically, this big lumbering lad is killed for plot reasons, (and after helping the player, too!), but I will admit to being a big fan of this design.
Poor guy!

Does anyone know this games called Diggles: The Myth of Fenris?
I just finished the first "world" and have decided to do a group drawing of all my dwarves. All fifteen of them. ;A;
So yeah. Expect lots of progress shots and complaining from me over the next few days.

Diggles: The Myth of Fenris
Probably the most obscure game on the list, but also the one that makes me feel the most nostalgic and makes me want to talk about it a lot. No matter how many times I've played it, I never finished it because of lack of skill in constant supervision and tactical planning, so I stuck with playing Sandbox mode. Good times were had. The plot was basically, the god Odin sent you (leetle gnomes) underground to tame his escaped pet Fenris and you had to go through 4 worlds (rock, sulfur, crystal, lava) to find magical rings to make a leash out of. The game got rather creepy at times, additional thanks to the brilliant soundtrack. There was a dragon, an underground ship flooded with water, trolls, a bitchy fairy and 4 other clans of gnomes that would get in and steal your goddamn mushrooms if you didn't build doors goddamn EVERYWHERE. The game was absolutely HUGE since you could dig freakin' everywhere.
pardon me while I spam you with games from my childhood
