A/N: I just felt like I needed some Tom in my day. Also, if you are not happy with my choices in this one shot, please feel free to ignore or imagine someone else. Hope you like it! Enjoy~

Tom and you have been friends for a long time before you started dating, so you could say you knew him well.

So, you had no doubt in your mind about the situation in front of you.

It was an award show which Tom got invited to, being the good boyfriend that he is, he invited you as well. During the week you got your hair, nail and skin prepared for the event. You even got a pretty dress only for that night. You thought Tom might like it, and he did.

Until she came along. She was a new star, young, talented and beautiful, however, she was a complete bitch. She made it a very well-known fact that she wanted Tom to be her boyfriend and she hated that he was with you. Not only that but he was with someone who is not a celebrity, just a simple girl.

It wasn’t a surprise to you that she was there, she tried to everywhere you or Tom went. What did come to you as a surprise and probably the biggest slap in the face was when Tom decided to ignore you and ran into her arms. Or at least that’s how you saw it, for everyone else it looked like he kissed your cheek and went to have some picture with her.

But, no. You knew her true intentions. And her plan seemed to work.

Maybe it was the low-cut red dress she was wearing, maybe it was her perfect make-up, you’ll never know. But Tom got hooked around her fingers easily.

What she didn’t know was that you were a tough girl, not the ‘ran home and cried herself to sleep while someone fucked her man’ type. No, you were tough and you believed that two can play that game. She in that mischievous red dress or you in your pure, cute yet fierce dress. You mentally heard the starter ring of the box match.

When Tom walked right past you with her in his arms, you felt your heart break a little, but the annoying smirk that she had on her face made you more annoyed than heart-broken. You waited a few minutes not long after they went in, you went into the building yourself. You saw the sitting at a nearby table. You saw that Tom tried to look around, maybe searching for you, but she grabbed his face to focus on her and continued to talk.

You sat down at a table far from them, although you were prepared for war against her, you trusted Tom.

You got yourself a drink and decided to look around, you would have done that if someone would have sat down next to you. You looked at the man.

Diego Barrueco.

Well, you did NOT see that coming. A Spanish model here? What? Then you remembered that this show had awards for models as well.

“Hi.” he said, and my God, his voice was sexy. You saw him in a few magazines and you saw him on Instagram before.

“Hello.”

“My name’s Diego Barrueco, and yours Hermosa?”

“Y/N Y/L/N.”

“Gorgeous name. And what are you doing here?”

“You know the basic stuff. Came here with my boyfriend got ignore because he found someone prettier. And here I am trying to make him jealous or make her regret her choices. I haven’t made up my mind which one I should do, yet.” he seemed to think you were joking but when you didn’t join him in his laugh he turned serious.

“Lo siento. If you wish, I can help you. I��m sure I won’t win, so I might as well help you out, Hermosa.”

“Thank you. It’s really kind of you.” and he genuinely was just doing this for the sake of kindness, he didn’t have bad intensions or anything and this helped you mood.

You looked over where Tom was sitting and saw him looking around, he wanted to get up but she didn’t let him. When you looked back at Diego he was now sitting closer and he lifted one of his hands to take a piece of hair and put it behind your ear. You were never one to blush often, you only blush when Tom calls you ‘Princess’ or when the first time he kissed you. But Diego was a really good looking man, a little older than you, but not too much. He said something but you didn’t hear him.

Was this cheating? But then you remembered how Tom walked past you just a few moments ago, like you weren’t even there.

“Hm?” you asked.

“I said smile. He’s looking.” You didn’t know how he found out that Tom was your boyfriend but you did as he said. A sweet smile and a gentle touch on his forearm, which should be enough for Tom.

As an extra Diego lent over and whispered into your ear.

“I wish you’d be single. You have an amazing smile. I better go now.” just as he was standing up, Tom appeared behind him. “Well, it was nice talking to you, Hermosa. But I better go now.” he even kissed your hand. He walked past Tom and said to him. “Next time, don’t ignore her. I see her alone one more time and I’ll steal her.” he didn’t let Tom respond as he walked off.

Tom looked beyond angry, but you only took a long sip from your Coke.

“What the hell are you doing, Y/N, flirting with him over here?”

“I could ask you the same, Holland. You knew how I was feeling about her and yet you went right ahead and left me alone for her!” you might have been a bit too loud by the end of your sentence since you noticed people watching.

You simply stood up and left him standing there. You didn’t want to make a bigger scene than you already did.

You took a cab home. You phone went crazy with messages and calls, but you ignored all. You pulled your dress off and went to bed.

The next day you woke up to a knock. You knew who is was. So you decided to ignore, he has his own key. You were certain he can find his way in.

And he did.

Moments later the door opened.

You walked out of your bedroom and met him in the living room. He had a nice bouquet of your favourite flowers.

“A bouquet won’t make me forget about yesterday.” he raised his eyebrow. “I know I was stupid too. But the way she was eye-fucking you made me furious, then came Diego, he wanted to help me make you jealous. I knew it was the only way you’d ever leave her and finally come over to me. I wanted it to be a nice evening. I really did. Damn I even bought that dress just to impress you….You know what hurts the most? When you walked away with her, you passed me like we didn’t know each other. Like I was a no one. Like I was worth nothing.” you really didn’t want to cry. But the sadness in his eyes and the way your heart ached didn’t help you.

“I know, Princess. And I’m so so so sorry! I don’t expect you to forgive me right away. I don’t know what happened last night. All I know is when I finally found you, you were talking with him…and then he touched you….and then he said something that made you blush…God Damn it Y/N, he made you blush! I instantly went to you and now I know why….why did it happen. I’m so sorry! I’ll leave this here.” he placed the bouquet down, walked up to you kissed your forehead then turned to leave. “Call me when you’re ready. I’ll be patient. I love you.” and he walked away, you even heard the front door close behind him.

You just stood there. For some reason the fact that he just left made it worse. Then you remembered something important. He just said he loves you.

He never said it before, ever.

You didn’t know what took over you, you just ran after him and the next thing you knew, you saw him standing, waiting for the elevator.

“TOM!” he turned to look at you, the elevator door opened but he didn’t get in, he waited for you. “I love you too!” it was barely above a whisper, but he heard it.

He walked over to you and wrapped you in his arms.

“Princess-“

“Don’t say anything, just kiss me.”

This was probably one of the biggest challenges of your relationship. But your love was strong enough to survive it. And you knew after this, you were ready for everything.

You’ll never stop loving him and neither will he stop loving you.
