In 2005, there was a series of flash games on Bionicle.com that recounted this story. The cutscenes for this game was actually really unique compared to how a lot of Bionicle media portrays the universe. The way the characters speak and move is all incredibly stylized.

Peduik is a member of the Order of Mata Nui mutated by Hordika Venom, formerly spying on the Brotherhood of Makuta.⁣ ⁣ Peduik's Hordika transformation affected his body and mind, and he struggled with animalistic impulses as a result. However, after years of meditation and introspection, he was able to make peace with the beast within. His decision to accept his Hordika side has been difficult to reconcile with other people's expectations.⁣ ⁣ Peduik has the power to accelerate himself to incredible speeds, allowing him to move and react much faster than what is normally possible. His increased speed also provides him with an accelerated healing factor and with limited regenerative abilities, allowing him to regrow certain parts of his anatomy. ⁣ Like all members of the Order of Mata Nui, Peduik's mind is shielded against all forms of telepathy and mental aggression.⁣ He is naturally amphibious and immune to the Pit Mutagen's effects. ⁣ Peduik wore a Great Kanohi Akaku, Mask of X-Ray Vision. When he transformed into a Hordika mutant, the mask fused to his face and he became unable to access its power. The mask had telescopic lenses installed, which continue to function.⁣ ⁣ Peduik is armed with a Grinding Claw, a giant spinning tool that fused with his physiology upon his mutation. The claw has many configurations that allow it to be used as a melee weapon, a climbing tool, a shield, and a drill.⁣ Thanks to evaneticsart for drawing Peduik!

Peduik Update!

Hordikas deserve some exposition. I also got a brand new Vezon cape to replace the original one. Because aesthetics.

The Hordika Miru Peduik wears is a 3D Print designed by Red Star Forge.

BIOGRAPHY

Peduik originally had another name. He was one of the original members of the Hand of Artakha and, after the organization's dissolution, he was invited by Helryx to join the Order of Mata Nui.

Peduik and his species originated from the island of Piruw, where a powerful artifact, the Kanohi Trankerkokiskorniahk, Mask of Chaos, was hidden. He, along with many others, was one of the designated guardians of the mask.

Soon, the Brotherhood of Makuta used Piruw as a testing ground for the destructive capabilities of the Visorak horde. Most of the inhabitants were massacred by the spider Rahi, while others like Peduik were strung up into cocoons and injected with Hordika Venom, thus transforming them into Hordika mutants.

In his new state, Peduik found it hard to fight against his bestial nature. Some of the guardians of the Trankerkokiskorniahk succumbed to their condition and, eventually, they divulged the existence of the mask to the Makuta. At this point, the Order of Mata Nui contacted Peduik and they devised a plan to save the Kanohi. To prepare for this mission, the Order upgraded Peduik's powers and gave him the ability to resist his mutations, allowing him to recover his mentality. He was then tasked with joining the Brotherhood of Makuta and become a spy within the organization.

In this new position, Peduik was able to secretly foil the Makuta's plans for getting the Trankerkokiskorniahk, and the Order retrieved and gave the mask to the Alpha Beings for safekeeping.

Peduik remained a secret Order operative within the Brotherhood of Makuta for the next millennia and his reports were instrumental during the Destiny War. He was given the daunting task of spying on Teridax and followed him on Voya Nui and Mahri Nui. Peduik witnessed Teridax's battle against Brutaka and reported all of the details to the Order, which contributed to Brutaka's admission back to the Order.

After Teridax's death, Peduik migrated to Spherus Magna with all the inhabitants of the Matoran Universe to start a new life.

DESCRIPTION

Peduik usually has a jolly disposition and is known for causing mischief. He is also, however, very cautious of others. His role as an Order of Mata Nui spy within the Brotherhood of Makuta made him into a being of cold and controlled feelings, endowed with great common sense.

Peduik has the natural power to become invisible at will. Due to his highly sensitive role, the Order upgraded this power. As a result, Peduik does not leave a shadow behind when he becomes invisible and he's also able to mask his thermal signature.

Due to his Hordika transformation, Peduik used to have Rahi-like urges. To combat this, the Order gave him the ability to resist further mutations, which resulted in him recovering his sanity. This ability also protects him against other mutagenic forces such as the Pit Mutagen and Makuta experimentation. Peduik is amphibious.

Like any member of the Order of Mata Nui, Peduik's mind is shielded against all forms of telepathy and mental aggression.

Peduik wore a Great Kanohi Miru, Mask of Levitation, which let him slow his falling speeds or hover in midair. When he transformed into a Hordika mutant, the mask fused to his face and he became unable to access its power.

Peduik is armed with a polearm that can induce confusion in a target, by firing a burst of energy that scrambles their sense of time and space.

Defrejj, JACK OF ALL TRADES!

He’s a Po-Matoran, he’s cute, and he wants to do so much stuff but is a procastinator and easily distracted.

(He carries snacks in his little pouch.)

DESCRIPTION

Defrejj originally lived in Mazra Nui and worked creating glass sculptures to sell in the Port of Mazra Nui. The excellent quality of his sculptures made him famous on the island, but no one was willing to buy them at a fair price, preventing him from earning enough to live comfortably.

Looking for better opportunities, Defrejj settled in Metru Nui to learn from the sculptors of Po-Metru. He then became interested in learning from the Mask Makers and took lessons in Ta-Metru. He became good friends with Kapura during that time. Eventually, Defrejj traveled to all the Metru to learn different disciplines.

Although he never excelled in any of his new endeavors, these made Defrejj an exceptional crafter and he was chosen to live in the kingdom of Artakha, where he was rebuilt into a stronger form. There, Defrejj learned about the secret art of traveling very quickly by moving very slowly and, through a lot of training, he became skilled.

Defrejj values all things practical and he rarely shows his emotions. He does not like to rush into things and abhors emotional conflicts. Defrejj, much like Kapura, has practiced the art of getting to places quickly by moving slowly, which allows him to seemingly travel at supersonic speeds.

Like all Po-Matoran, Defrejj is stronger than Matoran from other Elements. Thanks to his reconstructions, Defrejj is taller and stronger than the average Matoran. Unlike other Matoran of his element, he knows how to swim and even feels comfortable in the water.

Defrejj has a Shore Turtle as a pet, which he named Hoi.

Begra, THE ONU-MATORAN WHO CAN FLY!

(He would have had a great time with Nuparu Inika) Begra was an Av-Matoran in my original canon, but the idea of an Onu-Matoran that can fly is just too juicy to pass.

His design is based on the Good Guy 2008:

DESCRIPTION

Begra originated from Uxrep, where he worked in the recycling plants. Eventually the island's Matoran workers were suffocated by the amount of garbage that regularly arrived from the entire universe and Uxrep became a junkyard.

The majority of the Matoran in Uxrep were blamed for the situation of the island and were considered defective, so they were sent to Karzahni to be repaired. Begra was one of the Matoran who suffered this fate.

There, Karzahni tried to rebuild Begra into a stronger form. However, Karzahni was inept in his duties and only achieved the opposite, rebuilding Begra and many others in weaker forms. As compensation, Karzahni gave weapons to the Matoran, and Begra received a propeller on his back. Wanting to hide his failures, Karzahni sent Begra and the other Matoran to Voya Nui.

In Voya Nui, Begra tamed a Mahi and took it as a pet.

Begra was contacted by an agent of the Order of Mata Nui named Axonn, who gave him the task of informing him about anything unusual, to help him keep the Matoran safe. Begra received basic Order training for this function and was rebuilt to a slightly larger and stronger form. Eventually Begra became a spy for the Order of Mata Nui.

After Teridax's death, Begra left the Matoran Universe for Spherus Magna.

Despite his status as an Order of Mata Nui operative, Begra aims for a simple existence and is often quite content with very little. He is fascinated with all that is unexplored and mysterious, including the motivations behind what other people do.

Like all Onu-Matoran, Begra has decent night vision, which allows him to see well in the dark. Being a member of the Order of Mata Nui, his mind is shielded against all forms of telepathy and mental aggressions.

Begra has a razor-sharp propeller on his back, granted by Karzahni, which allows him to fly short distances. He can also use this propeller as a combat weapon or as a shield. The propeller is part of his physiology and cannot be removed.

Peduik, THE CHAMELEON!

A revised version of an old character! Peduik used to be a Toa of Shadows in my original canon, but in this incarnation he’s his own being.

DESCRIPTION

Peduik was one of the original members of the Hand of Artakha, the predecessor of the Order of Mata Nui.

After Hand of Artakha dissolved, Peduik joined the Order of Mata Nui and was assigned the task of protecting a dangerous artifact, the legendary Mask of Chaos, on the island of Uxrep.

For years, Peduik kept the Mask of Chaos safe and sabotaged any investigations others did about it. Eventually a Makuta, Nutrex, became interested in the mask and discovered its location in Uxrep. Peduik faced the Makuta and saved the mask, but with its location discovered, the Order of Mata Nui decided to hand it over to the Alpha Beings to protect it thereafter and Peduik was reassigned to other missions.

Peduik is a being of cold and controlled feelings, endowed with great common sense. He is quite lonely and even distant, but that is because he values all practical things and rarely shows his emotions.

Peduik has the ability to become completely invisible at will. Unlike with users of a Kanohi Huna or Volitak, he does not leave a shadow behind when he becomes invisible. Like any member of the Order of Mata Nui, his mind is shielded against all forms of telepathy and mental aggression.

Peduik wears a Mask of Incomprehension, which gives him the power to scramble spoken and written languages.
