General plot of mando one would be

Your piece of shit husband put a bounty on you. Mando took the puck, knowing nothing more than the man claimed you caused irreparable damage to his life and would be carrying a "beast" with you. Whatever that means.

When he finds you? He sees a mother pointing a blaster at him while holding a trembling child, one that, albeit not matching your own physical characteristics, was still scared and small and clinging to his mothers leg and damn his bleeding heart but he couldnt go through with the bounty.

You ended up being a mighty help on the ship. Children were hard to take care of and grogu took to you with no hesitation. Perhaps it was because of Dante, he never did have friends around his age, aside from those on sorgan. Or maybe it was the sweet way you spoke to the two boys that made the little trouble makers shine to you with ease.

Dante positively loved grogu and vice versa. Dante never had many young friends either, he was much too shy but quickly grew out of his shell with grogu.
