AU IDEA!
So this morning I had the brilliant idea of a Sanders Sides Security Breach Au
I proposed it to two of my friends and on a server, I’m in and I found some people interested in it.
So here’s what a day’s worth of drawing got me!

It's kind of funny. I came out of Vol 8 hating Ironwood. Like, I wanted him arrested or his head on a platter. Now a days, I kind of just feel sorry for him. Dude was dealing with the guilt of his robots going crazy at Beacon, lack of sleep, his semblance probably firing on all cylinders, paranoia, and who knows what else. Taking all that into account, anyone would have cracked like he did. So many things could have been different if he just made some better choices. Telling Winter and the Ace Ops about his semblance as a 'stop me if I go to far' thing, trusting Robyn a bit so they could make a compromise. So many outcomes that didn't need to end with him being a shell of what he once was. Sorry, I know you don't like Ironwood and you have every reason to hate him. Guess it just bothers me that most of Vol 8 could have been prevented if Ironwood just trusted people more.
With all due respect, that is completely inaccurate.
I DO NOT hate james ironwood or adam taurus. They're fictional characters. A fictional character cannot harm others. Can you imagine people claiming that Slenderman physically killed somebody? Oh wait, they did, but he didn't do it, cuz he's not real. No, people used slenderman as an excuse for their actions or behavior.
I do not hate Blacksun. Its a fictional ship, which cannot harm others.
I don't even despise dead horse theories...they're dead, cannot harm others. How many conspiracy theories exist that aren't real?
But...you know what does harm people? Beliefs by themselves are harmless. Its when other people share and act upon certain beliefs that harm is caused.
Religious and political beliefs are perfectly fine when kept to themselves, or perhaps one of those discord servers. But you've seen society. How much harm and damage is caused when people embrace and act upon those beliefs?
My problem was never with the characters, ships or theories. Not in RWBY, not in any fandom.
My problem is always going to be the people who embrace said characters, ships, and theories with the same passion and devotion of those embracing political or religious beliefs.
I do not hate ironwood. I just detest the people who have decided to put him on a pedestal for the sake of their identity and their hatred for Monty's Oums friends...and then go forth to spam hatred against CRWBY and RWBY, which leads to an ocean of negativity against the show, causing others to either not watch it, or stop watching it.
Actually, I have something better. Two posts from people on Tumblr who have addressed this particular issue.

There is one other aspect, and again, it is not RWBY Specific.

But it does illuminate the issue, doesn't it?
At the end of the day, my issue will always be with the people who insult the show, the writers, the animators, etc. Simply because their favorite fictional characters, ships, or theories did not go the way they selfishly wanted.
You once asked me about Jaune Arc. I told you, my problem would always be with the people who cannot accept him or Oscar as deuteragonists aka secondary characters, and had their headcanons made up to the point of where they could not accept what was in front of them.
Weird question, but would you say that RELIGION could be considered a fandom? They carry so many similar qualities.
